The complexation spectroscopic behavior of three p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene Schiff bases i.e. 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[N-(3-nitrobenzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (1), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[N-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (2), and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[N-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (3) with lanthanoid nitrates (Tb3+ and Eu3+) has been investigated in anhydrous acetonitrile at 25 degrees C by using UV-vis and FT-IR as well as fluorescence spectra. The results obtained indicated that the spectroscopic behavior of compounds 1-2 upon complexation with lanthanoid ions did not show any significant larger difference in comparison with free compounds 1 and 2, which may be contributed to the poor binding ability. Contrary to compounds 1 and 2, the lower rim functional groups in compound 3 can form two large pi electron conjugate system with lanthanide ion and encapsulate lanthanide ions tightly, displaying the novel spectroscopic behavior upon complexation with lanthanide ions. As compared with compound 3, the formation complexes of compound 3 with Tb3+ and Eu3+ showed new broad intense absorption at 398 nm, respectively, and IR spectra showed that O-H stretching vibration at 3413.40 cm(-1) displayed a large drop. It is interestingly noted that the narrow emission line spectra were observed only for 3 complex with Tb3+, but did not for 3-Eu3+ complex. In the 3-Eu3+ complex, the broad-band emission at lambda(max) = 534 nm was obtained at the excitation of 398 nm. The spectroscopic behavior of three calix[4]arene derivatives upon complexation with lanthanoids was discussed from the relationship between the host structure and the properties of guest lanthanide ions.  相似文献

Five diamines with thiophene-based bridges--(E)-1,2-bis{5-[bis(4-butoxyphenyl)amino]-2-thienyl}ethylene (1), 5,5'-bis[bis(4-methoxyphenyl)amino]-2,2'-bithiophene (2), 2,6-bis[bis(4-butoxyphenyl)amino]dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]thiophene (3), N-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-2,6-bis[bis(4-methoxyphenyl)amino]dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]pyrrole (4 a) and N-tert-butyl-2,6-bis[bis(4-methoxyphenyl)amino]dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]pyrrole (4 b)--have been synthesised. The syntheses make use of the palladium(0)-catalysed coupling of brominated thiophene species with diarylamines, in some cases accelerated by microwave irradiation. The molecules all undergo facile oxidation, 4 b being the most readily oxidised at about -0.4 V versus ferrocenium/ferrocene, and solutions of the corresponding radical cations were generated by addition of tris(4-bromophenyl)aminium hexachloroantimonate to the neutral species. The near-IR spectra of the radical cations show absorptions characteristic of symmetrical delocalised species (that is, class III mixed-valence species); analysis of these absorptions in the framework of Hush theory indicates strong coupling between the two amine redox centres, stronger than that observed in species with phenylene-based bridging groups of comparable length. The strong coupling can be attributed to high-lying orbitals of the thiophene-based bridging units. ESR spectroscopy indicates that the coupling constant to the amino nitrogen atoms is somewhat reduced relative to that in a stilbene-bridged analogue. The neutral species and the corresponding radical cations have been studied with the aid of density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory. The DFT-calculated ESR parameters are in good agreement with experiment, while calculated spin densities suggest increased bridge character to the oxidation in these species relative to that in comparable species with phenylene-based bridges.  相似文献

The synthesis and biological studies of some long chain esters containing Schiff bases and their ferrocenyl analogues were carried out. The 4-amino ferrocene was prepared by the reported method. Long chain esters were synthesized by the condensation of different aliphatic acids with the corresponding aldehyde. The esters were then reacted with aniline as well as with 4-aminophenyl ferrocene to give corresponding Schiff bases. All the synthesized compounds were analyzed by elemental, FTIR and proton NMR studies, were also investigated for a range of biological activities. Determined by crown gall tumor inhibition assay. Antioxidant and DNA protective activities were determined by DPPH free radical scavenging assay and OH radical induced oxidative DNA damage assay, respectively. Among all test compounds, o-hydroxy-p-n-octadecanoyloxy-benzylidine-p-ferrocenyl aniline (FA2.1: a ferrocene containing Schiff base) showed highest antitumor, DPPH free radical scavenging and DNA protective activities.  相似文献

The phototoxic anti-hyperlipoproteinemic drug fenofibrate was found to be photolabile under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Irradiation under argon of a methanol solution of this drug produced the photoproducts isopropyl 4-(1-[4-chlorophenyl]-1,2-dihydroxy)ethylphenoxyisobutyrate, 1,2- bis (4-chlorophenyl)-1,2- bis (4-[isopro-poxycarbonylisopropoxy]phenyl)ethane-1,2-diol and 4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenol, while under oxygen the photoproducts were 4-chloroperbenzoic acid, methyl 4-chlorobenzoate, 4-chlorobenzoic acid and singlet oxygen, as evidenced by trapping with 2,5-dimethylfuran. These results can be rationalized through hydrogen abstraction by excited fenofibrate, to afford a free radical as key intermediate. Biologically active antioxidants such as glutathione and cysteine efficiently reduced 4-chloroperbenzoic acid to 4-chlorobenzoic acid. The involvement of an electron transfer mechanism is suggested by detection (UV-vis spectrophotometry) of the radical cation TMP+ during the oxidation of tetramethylphenylenediamine (TMP) with 4-chloroperbenzoic acid. Fenofibrate was phototoxic in vitro when examined by the photohemolysis test, both under oxygen and argon atmosphere, although the photohemolysis rate was markedly lower under anaerobic conditions. The photoproducts 4-(1-[4-chlorophenyl]-1,2-dihy-droxy)ethylphenoxyisobutyrate and 4-chloroperbenzoic acid induced hemolysis in the dark however, this effect was quantitatively less important than photohemolysis by fenofibrate. On the other hand, fenofibrate photosensitized peroxidation of linoleic acid, monitored by the UV detection of dienic hydroperoxides. Based on the inhibition of this process upon addition of butylated hydroxyanisole, a radical chain (type I) mechanism appears to operate. In summary, fenofibrate is phototoxic in vitro . This behavior can be explained through the involvement of free radicals, singlet oxygen and stable photoproducts.  相似文献

A series of heteroleptic copper(I) complexes incorporating amido-triazole and diphosphine ligands, [Cu(I)(N-phenyl-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (1), [Cu(I)(N-(4-methylphenyl)-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (2), [Cu(I)(N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (3), [Cu(I)(N-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)aniline)(dppb)] (4), [Cu(I)(2,6-dimethyl-N-[2-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)phenyl]aniline)(dppb)] (5), [Cu(I)(2,6-dimethyl-N-[2-(1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)phenyl]aniline)(dppb)] (6), (dppb = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene), have been prepared. The complexes adopt a distorted tetrahedral geometry in the solid state with the amido-triazole ligand forming a six-member ring with the Cu(I) ion. The complexes exhibit long-lived photoluminescence with colors ranging from yellow to red-orange in the solid state, in frozen glass at 77 K, and in fluid solution with modest quantum yields of up to 0.022. Electrochemically, complexes 1-4 show irreversible oxidation waves while 5 and 6 are characterized by quasi-reversible oxidations as determined by cyclic voltammetry. For 1-4, the emission energy and oxidation potential are found to vary linearly with the Hammett parameter σ(p) of the substituent in the para position of the amido ligand, while in 5 and 6, large differences in emission are observed because of the nature of N3 substitution in the triazole ring. Density functional theory calculations have been performed on the singlet ground states (S(o)) of all complexes at the BP86/6-31G(d) level to assist in assignment of the excited states. On the basis of both experimental and computational results, we have assigned the excited states as intraligand + metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3)(ILCT+MLCT) or ligand-to-ligand charge transfer mixed with MLCT (3)(MLCT +LLCT) in these complexes.  相似文献

tert-Butyl radicals add to the carbon atom of benzylideneanilines to form anilino radicals, which are protonated in the presence of PTSA or NH(4)(+) in Me(2)SO. Reduction of the resulting aniline radical cations occurs readily by the ate complex, t-BuHgI(2)(-). In the absence of a proton donor, t-BuHgI will also transfer a hydrogen atom to the anilino radical to give the reductive alkylation product. Protonation can promote a free radical chain process involving electron transfer by substrate activation and/or by increasing the electron affinity of the intermediate radicals. Since the adduct radicals formed from benzylideneanilines are more easily protonated than the parent Schiff bases, PTSA but not NH(4)(+) demonstrates substrate activation, although both proton donors promote the free radical reaction.  相似文献

Abstract

Some novel long-chain nitrones, isoxazolines, and (1H-benzo[d]-imidazol-2-ylthio) derivatives were synthesized. Nitrones, N-{4-[2-(tetradecylthio)acetoxy]benzylidene}aniline oxide, and N-[4-(12-oxo-2,5,8,11-tetraoxadocosan-22-yloxy)benzylidene]aniline oxide were prepared via the reaction of β-phenylhydroxylamine with the corresponding aromatic aldehydes. The isoxazolines were prepared from undec-10-en-1-ol and benzonitrile-N-oxide which was generated in situ. The 1H-benzo[d]-imidazol-2-ylthio derivatives were synthesized via the replacement reaction of ω-bromo esters and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole.  相似文献

A synthetically practical and operationally convenient method for preparing (S)-2-[N-(N'-benzylprolyl)amino]benzophenone (BPBP) and hitherto unknown (S)-2-[N-(N'-benzylprolyl)amino]-4-methylbenzophenone (4-Me-BPBP), (S)-2-[N-(N'-benzylprolyl)amino]-5-nitrobenzophenone (5-NO(2)-BPBP), and their corresponding Ni(II) complexes with glycine [GlyNi(II)BPBP], a widely used chiral equivalent of nucleophilic glycine, and new analogues [GlyNi(II)-4-Me-BPBP] and [GlyNi(II)-5- NO(2)-BPBP] is described. The key step of the method is the synthetically efficient amid bond formation between the corresponding o-aminobenzophenones, featuring significant steric shielding and low nucleophilicity of the amino functionality as well as sterically constrained (S)-N-benzylproline (BP).  相似文献

The lysis of red blood cells photosensitized by diflunisal (DFN) was investigated. Photohemolysis is inhibited by butylated hydroxyanisole and reduced glutathione, but is unaffected by mannitol and enhanced by sodium azide; the presence of oxygen markedly reduces the lysis which is accelerated in anaerobic conditions. These results contrast with those expected for a photodynamic mechanism. High lytic activity is observed for pre-irradiated solutions, mainly under anaerobic conditions. Direct irradiation of DFN in buffer solution at pH 7.4 leads to the formation, under anaerobic conditions, of compound 2'-(2',4'-difluoro-3'-carboxy-[1',1'-biphenyl]-4'-oxy)-4'- fluoro-4-hydroxy-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-carboxylic acid (PhP), whereas under aerobic conditions formation of PhP is accompanied by unidentified photo-oxidation products; only compound PhP displays strong lytic activity. The overall results for DFN-photosensitized hemolysis suggest a mechanism involving a concerted action of free radicals, superoxide anion, singlet oxygen and sensitizer photoproducts.  相似文献

Three active glycosides that afford protection to red blood cell membrane to resist hemolysis induced by a peroxyl radical initiator, 2,2'-azo-bis-(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH) were isolated from the MeOH extract of Ligustrum sinense. The compounds are 10-hydroxyl-oleuropein (1), 3-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-kaempferol-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4), and 8'-alpha-hydroxyl-lariciresinol-4'-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (6). POLY [N-(4-PYRIDINIUM DICHROMATE)-P-STYRENE SULPHONAMIDE] is readily prepared. It is a stable, mild, and efficient oxidizing reagent that can be used for oxidation of different alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds in approtic solvents. This polymer can be synthesized from the reaction between poly [N-(4-pyridyl)-p-styrene sulphonamide] and CrO 3 in a minimum amount of water. The latter polymer was prepared by free radical polymerization of [N-(4-pyridyl)-p-styrene sulphonamide] by using azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) as an initiator. N-(4-pyridyl)-p-styrene sulphonamide was synthesized from commercial 4-vinyl benzene sulphonic acid sodium salt and 4-amino pyridine. POLY [N-(4-PYRIDINIUM DICHROMATE)-P-STYRENE SULPHONAMIDE] can oxidize both aliphatic and aromatic alcohols in good yields at a temperature of 38°C and in CH 2 Cl 2 as solvent. One advantage in using this reagent is the mild condition of the reaction system. The synthesized compounds including polymeric reagent and carbonyl compounds were identified by HNMR and IR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Two new sporopollenin-immobilized Schiff bases, S-[N-(2-aminoetil) salicylaldiimino] and S-[N-(2-aminoetil) benzaldiimino], and their cobalt (Ⅲ) and nickel (Ⅱ) complexes, S-[N-(2-aminoetil) benzaldiimino] aquatriacetato cobalt (Ⅲ), S-[N-(2-aminoetil) salicylaldiimino] aquadiacetato cobalt (Ⅲ), S-[N-(2-aminoetil) benzaldiimino] diacetato nickel (Ⅱ), and S-[N-(2-aminoetil) salicylaldiimino] diacetato nickel (Ⅱ), were synthesized onto a chemically modified sporopollenin with ethylenediamine. The immobilized ligands and their metal complexes were characterized by thermal analysis and spectroscopic techniques such as infrared, ultraviolet-visible, and atomic absorption spectrometry. Immobilized Schiff base metal complexes, S-[N-(2-aminoetil) benzaldiimino] aquatriacetato cobalt (Ⅲ) and S-[N-(2-aminoetil) salicylaldiimino] aquadiacetato cobalt (Ⅲ), were used as ligand exchanger media to investigate ligand adsorption behavior of methylene blue (MB) with column technique. The result shows that the chelation of methylene blue with S-[N-(2-aminoetil) salicylaldiimino] aquadiacetato cobalt (Ⅲ) complex increases ligand adsorption capacity.  相似文献

The current work aims to design and synthesis a new series of isatin derivatives and greatly enhances their cytotoxic activity. The derivatives 3-((bromophenyl) imino)-1-(morpholino (pyridine) methyl) indolin-2-one, 2-((oxoindoline) amino) benzoic acid, 3-(thiazolo-imino) indolinone, ethyl-2-((oxoindolin-3-ylidene)amino)-benzothiophene-3-carboxylate, 1-(oxoindoline)-benzo[4,5] thieno [2,3-d]pyrimidin-4(1H)-one, ethyl-2-(2-oxoindoline) hydrazine-1-carboxylate, N-(mercapto-oxo-pyrimidine)-2-(oxoindoline) hydrazine-1-carboxamide, N-(oxo-thiazolo[3,2-a] pyrimidine)-2-(oxoindolin-ylidene) hydrazine-carboxamide, 3-((amino-phenyl) amino)-3-hydroxy- indolinone, 3-((amino-phenyl) imino)-indolinone, 2-(2-((oxoindoline) amino) phenyl) isoindolinone, 2-(oxoindoline) hydrazine-carbothioamide, 5′-thioxospiro[indoline-3,3′-[1,2,4]triazolidin]-one, 5′-amino-spiro[indoline-3,2′-[1,3,4]thiadiazol]-2-one and 3-((2-thioxo-imidazo[4,5-b]quinoxaline) imino) indolinone were synthesized from the starting material 1-(morpholino (pyridine) methyl) indoline-2,3-dione and evaluated for their in vitro cytotoxic activity against carcinogenic cells. The new chemical structures were evidenced using spectroscopy (IR, NMR and MS) and elemental analysis. The results show that compounds imidazo[4,5-b]quinoxaline-indolinone, thiazolopyrimidine-oxoindoline, pyrimidine-oxoindoline-hydrazine-carboxamide, spiro[indoline-3,2′-[1,3,4] thiadiazol]-one and spiro[indoline-3,3′-[1,2,4]triazolidin]-one have excellent anti-proliferative activities against different human cancer cell lines such as gastric carcinoma cells (MGC-803), breast adenocarcinoma cells (MCF-7), nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells (CNE2) and oral carcinoma cells (KB).  相似文献

The Schiff bases 4-(ω-hydroxyalkyloxy)-N-(5-nitro-2-thienylmethylene)aniline with 2, 6 and 8 methylenic units in their alkyl group in which a nitrothienyl group as acceptor and an oxyphenyl group as donor were synthesized by condensation of (ω-hydroxyalkyloxy)anilines with 5-nitro-2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde. The methacrylate monomers 4-(ω-methacryloyloxyalkyloxy)-N-(5-nitro-2-thienylmethylene)aniline with alkylene groups of different lengths were synthesized by two different routes and polymerized using a free radical initiator to produce low molecular weight polymers useful for nonlinear optics. All the obtained compounds were characterized by conventional spectroscopic methods. First-order hyperpolarizability (β) of 4-(2-hydroxyethyloxy)-N-(5-nitro-2-thienylmethylene)aniline typically was calculated using semiempirical method and the nonlinear optic properties of the same compound was studied by second harmonic generation.  相似文献

The Pd(II) complexes of new 2N1O-donor ligands containing a pendent indole, 3-[N-2-pyridylmethyl-N-2-hydroxy-3,5-di(tert-butyl)benzylamino]ethylindole (Htbu-iepp), 1-methyl-3-[N-2-pyridylmethyl-N-2-hydroxy-3,5-di(tert-butyl)benzylamino]ethylindole (Htbu-miepp), 3-[N-2-pyridylmethyl-N-2-hydroxy-3,5-di(tert-butyl)benzylamino]methylindole (Htbu-impp), and 3-(N-2-pyridylmethyl-N-4-hydroxybenzylamino)ethylindole (Hp-iepp) (H denotes a dissociable proton), were synthesized, and the structures of [Pd(tbu-iepp)Cl] (1a), [Pd(tbu-iepp-c)Cl] (1b), [Pd(tbu-miepp)Cl] (3), and [Pd(p-iepp-c)Cl] (4) (tbu-iepp-c and p-iepp-c denote tbu-iepp and p-iepp bound to Pd(II) through a carbon atom, respectively) were determined by X-ray analysis. Complexes 1a prepared in CH(2)Cl(2)/CH(3)CN and 3 prepared in CH(3)CN have a pyridine nitrogen, an amine nitrogen, a phenolate oxygen, and a chloride ion in the coordination plane. Complex 1b prepared in CH(3)CN has the same composition as 1a and was revealed to have the C2 atom of the indole ring bound to Pd(II) with the Pd(II)-C2 distance of 1.973(2) A. The same Pd(II)-indole C2 bonding was revealed for 4. Interconversion between 1a and 1b was observed for their solutions, the equilibrium being dependent on the solvent used. Reaction of 1b and 4 with 1 equiv of Ce(IV) in DMF gave the corresponding one-electron-oxidized species, which exhibited an ESR signal at g = 2.004 and an absorption peak at approximately 550 nm, indicating the formation of the Pd(II)-indole pi-cation radical species. The half-life, t(1/2), of the indole radical species at room temperature was calculated to be 20 s (k(obs) = 3.5 x 10(-)(2) s(-)(1)) for 1b. The cyclic voltammogram for 1b in DMF gave two irreversible oxidation peaks at E(pa) = 0.68 and 0.80 V (vs Ag/AgCl), which were ascribed to the oxidation processes of the coordinated indole and phenolate moieties, respectively.  相似文献

The in situ synthesis of the complex, (PPh4)[Mo(CN)3O(aceen)] (aceen = N-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]ethane-1,2-diamine), with a 'half unit' Schiff base ligand (with a free amino group) is described and compared with that of [Mo(CN)2O(diaceen)]·H2O (diaceen = N,N-bis[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]ethane-1,2-diamine) in which a 'classical', tetradentate Schiff base ligand is formed. The mechanism of the 'half unit' and 'classical' template Schiff bases ligand formation is discussed.  相似文献

A novel series of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and VO(IV) complexes has been synthesized from the Schiff base derived from 4-[(3,4-dimethoxybenzylidene)amino]-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1,2-dihydropyrazol-3-one and 1,2-diaminobenzene. Structural features were determined by analytical and spectral techniques. Binding of synthesized complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT DNA) was studied by spectroscopic methods and viscosity measurements. Experimental results indicate that the complexes are able to form adducts with DNA and to distort the double helix by changing the base stacking. Lower DNA affinity of the VO(IV) complex is caused by the change of coordination geometry by the vanadyl ion resulting in a somewhat unfavorable configuration for the DNA binding. Oxidative DNA cleavage activities of the complexes were studied with supercoiled (SC) pUC19 DNA using gel electrophoresis; the mechanism studies revealed that the hydroxyl radical is likely to be the reactive species responsible for the cleavage of pUC19 DNA by the synthesized complexes. The in vitro antimicrobial screening effects of the investigated compounds were monitored by the disc diffusion method. The synthesized Schiff base complexes exhibit higher antimicrobial activity than the respective free Schiff base.  相似文献

The ethanol extract of the fruits of Ligustrum lucidum was shown to have inhibitory effects on the hemolysis of red blood cells induced by 2,2'-azo-bis-(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride. Bioassay-guided analysis led to the isolation of ten secoiridoid glucosides. Two of them were new, lucidumosides C and D. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. The other eight compounds were identified as oleoside dimethyl ester, ligustroside, oleuropein, nuezhenide, isonuezhenide, neonuezhenide, lucidumoside A and lucidumoside B. Five compounds, oleoside dimethyl ester, oleuropein, neonuezhenide, lucidumoside B and lucidumoside C, exhibited strong antioxidant effect against hemolysis of red blood cells induced by free radicals.  相似文献
