For a Cr,-immersion z:X E, r 2, 0 < < 1, of an n-dimensional (n 1) simply-connected Cr+2,-manifold X into Euclidean space E, the metric I(z) induced by z has a neighborhood in Cr,-topology in which every metric from a given subbundle of metrics is Cr,-immersible into E. In particular, it is proved that metric ds 0 2 of the Riemannian product of p spheres of dimensions 1, , p 2 has a neighborhood in C2,-topology from which any conformally equivalent metric to ds 0 2 , is immersible into E with dimE = 1 + + p + p. It is proved that in a Banach space with a cone, the nonlinear (with respect to the spectral parameter ) eigenvalue problem (here is a scalar function and M is an operator-function, positive with respect to the cone for 0) admits a simple positive eigenvalue 1. The number 1 is characterized by variational principles. The obtained results are illustrated on the example of the quadratic pencil y+y+2B2x2y=0, which arises in the theory of structural analysis (see Ref. In this article the topologically exact sequences of locally convex spaces are characterized for which for every locally convex space F the map id : FE F Q is a homomorphism, or equivalently, the map id L : FK F E is a topological injection. This is motivated by the problem of lifting Q-valued functions with certain given properties to E-valued functions with the same or slightly weaker properties, which may also be considered as the investigation of parameter dependences of solutions of linear (differential) equations. Let < SL n ( ) be a subgroup of finite index, where n 5. Suppose acts continuously on a manifold M, where 1(M) = n , preserving a measure that is positive on open sets. Further assume that the induced action on H 1(M) is non-trivial. We show there exists a finite index subgroup < and a equivariant continuous map : M n that induces an isomorphism on fundamental group. We prove more general results providing continuous quotients in cases where 1(M) surjects onto a finitely generated torsion free nilpotent group. In this paper solutions in series form for the stresses due to a nucleus of thermo-elastic strain in an infinite elastic solid in the presence of a spherical cavity and also in an elastic solid sphere have been found.
Zusammenfassung Die thermischen Spannungen in einem festen Körper unendlicher Ausdehnung, welcher einen sphärischen Hohlraum enthält, sind bei einer Temperatur von 0°C in Gegenwart eines erhitzten Elementes, das sich in endlichem Abstand vom Hohlraum befindet, hergeleitet worden, wobei zahlenmässige Angaben für die Spannungen und Verschiebungen an der Oberfläche des Hohlraums gemacht werden können. Die Ergebnisse sind mit den entsprechenden, für den zweidimensionalen Fall gültigen Zahlenwerten verglichen worden. Ferner was es möglich, auch für das Problem einer festen Kugel von der Temperatur 0°C und einem erhitzten Kern in ihrem Innern eine Lösung zu finden.

Aim of this work is to investigate from a proof-theoretic viewpoint a propositional and a predicate sequent calculus with an –type schema of inference that naturally interpret the propositional and the predicate until–free fragments of Linear Time Logic LTL respectively. The two calculi are based on a natural extension of ordinary sequents and of standard modal rules. We examine the pure propositional case (no extralogical axioms), the propositional and the first order predicate cases (both with a possibly infinite set of extralogical axioms). We show that for any simple piecewise Ljapunov contour there exists a power weight such that the essential norm |S | in the spaceL 2(, ) does not depend on the angles of the contour and it is given by formula (2). All such weights are described. For the union =12 of two simple piecewise Lyapunov curves we prove that the essential norm |S | inL 2() is minimal if both 1 and 2 are smooth in some neighborhoods of the common points. It is the case when the norm |S | in the spaceL 2() as well as inL 2(, ) does not depend on the values of the angles and it can be calculated by formula (5).  相似文献
