The Janus monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) $MXY$ ($M={\rm Mo}$, W, $etc$. and $X, Y={\rm S}$, Se, $etc$.) have been successfully synthesized in recent years. The Rashba spin splitting in these compounds arises due to the breaking of out-of-plane mirror symmetry. Here we study the pairing symmetry of superconducting Janus monolayer TMDs within the weak-coupling framework near critical temperature $T_{\rm c}$, of which the Fermi surface (FS) sheets centered around both $ărGamma$ and $K (K')$ points. We find that the strong Rashba splitting produces two kinds of topological superconducting states which differ from that in its parent compounds. More specifically, at relatively high chemical potentials, we obtain a time-reversal invariant $s + f + p$-wave mixed superconducting state, which is fully gapped and topologically nontrivial, $i.e.$, a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ topological state. On the other hand, a time-reversal symmetry breaking $d + p + f$-wave superconducting state appears at lower chemical potentials. This state possess a large Chern number $|C|=6$ at appropriate pairing strength, demonstrating its nontrivial band topology. Our results suggest the Janus monolayer TMDs to be a promising candidate for the intrinsic helical and chiral topological superconductors.  相似文献

We develop a novel approach to phase transitions in quantum spin models based on a relation to their classical counterparts. Explicitly, we show that whenever chessboard estimates can be used to prove a phase transition in the classical model, the corresponding quantum model will have a similar phase transition, provided the inverse temperature β and the magnitude of the quantum spins satisfy . From the quantum system we require that it is reflection positive and that it has a meaningful classical limit; the core technical estimate may be described as an extension of the Berezin-Lieb inequalities down to the level of matrix elements. The general theory is applied to prove phase transitions in various quantum spin systems with . The most notable examples are the quantum orbital-compass model on and the quantum 120-degree model on which are shown to exhibit symmetry breaking at low-temperatures despite the infinite degeneracy of their (classical) ground state.  相似文献

The hidden Z2 symmetry of the asymmetric quantum Rabi model(AQRM)has recently been revealed via a systematic construction of the underlying symmetry operator.Based on the AQRM result,we propose an ansatz for the general form of the symmetry operators for AQRM-related models.Applying this ansatz we obtain the symmetry operator for three models:the anisotropic AQRM,the asymmetric Rabi–Stark model(ARSM),and the anisotropic ARSM.  相似文献

The macroscopic quantum entanglement in capacitively coupled SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device)-based charge qubits is investigated theoretically. The entanglement characteristic is discussed by employing the quantum Rabi oscillations and the concurrence. An interesting conclusion is obtained, i.e., the magnetic fluxes Фx1 and Фx2 through the superconducting loops can adjust the entanglement degree between the qubits.  相似文献

We study the interplay between discrete quantum symmetries at certain points in the moduli space of Calabi-Yau compactifications, and the associated identities that the geometric realization of D-brane monodromies must satisfy. We show that in a wide class of examples, both local and compact, the monodromy identities in question always follow from a single mathematical statement. One of the simplest examples is the \mathbb Z5{{\mathbb Z}_5} symmetry at the Gepner point of the quintic, and the associated D-brane monodromy identity.  相似文献

We have theoretically and experimentally studied the quantum coherence effects of a degenerate transition Fg =3←→Fe=2 system interacting with a weak linearly polarized (with σ+ components) probe light and a strong linearly polarized (with σ+ components) coupling field. Due to the competition between the drive Rabi frequency and the Zeeman splitting, electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) and electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) are present at the different values of applied magnetic field in the case where the Zeeman splitting of excited state Δe is larger than the Zeeman splitting of ground state Δg (i.e.Δe 〉 Δg).  相似文献

The magnon energy band in a four-layer ferromagnetic superlattice is studied by using the linear spin-wave approach and Green's function technique. It is found that three modulated energy gaps exist in the magnon energy band along Kx direction perpendicular to the superlattice plane. The spin quantum numbers and the interlayer exchange couplings all affect the three energy gaps. The magnon energy gaps of the four-layer ferromagnetic superlattice are different from those of the three-layer one. For the four-layer ferromagnetic superlattice, the disappearance of the magnon energy gaps △ω12, △ω23 and △ω34 all correlates with the symmetry of this system. The zero energy gap △ω23 correlates with the symmetry of interlayer exchange couplings, while the vanishing of the magnon energy gaps △ω12 and △ω34 corresponds to a translational symmetry of x-direction in the lattice. When the parameters of the system deviate from these symmetries, the three energy gaps will increase.  相似文献

We consider the discrete time unitary dynamics given by a quantum walk on the lattice \mathbb Zd{\mathbb {Z}^d} performed by a quantum particle with internal degree of freedom, called coin state, according to the following iterated rule: a unitary update of the coin state takes place, followed by a shift on the lattice, conditioned on the coin state of the particle. We study the large time behavior of the quantum mechanical probability distribution of the position observable in \mathbb Zd{\mathbb {Z}^d} when the sequence of unitary updates is given by an i.i.d. sequence of random matrices. When averaged over the randomness, this distribution is shown to display a drift proportional to the time and its centered counterpart is shown to display a diffusive behavior with a diffusion matrix we compute. A moderate deviation principle is also proven to hold for the averaged distribution and the limit of the suitably rescaled corresponding characteristic function is shown to satisfy a diffusion equation. A generalization to unitary updates distributed according to a Markov process is also provided.  相似文献

We give a multiresolution partition of pure point parts of diffraction patterns of one-dimensional aperiodic sets. When an aperiodic set is related to the Golden Ratio, denoted by , it is well known that the pure point part of its diffractive measure is supported by the extension ring of , denoted by . The partition we give is based on the formalism of the so called -integers, denoted by . The set of -integers is a selfsimilar set obeying , . The pure point spectrum is then partitioned with respect to this Russian doll like sequence of subsets . Thus we deduce the partition of the pure point part of the diffractive measure of aperiodic sets.Received: 24 March 2004, Published online: 12 July 2004PACS: 61.44.Br Quasicrystals - 61.10.Dp Theories of diffraction and scattering  相似文献

Local Asymptotic Normality in Quantum Statistics   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
The theory of local asymptotic normality for quantum statistical experiments is developed in the spirit of the classical result from mathematical statistics due to Le Cam. Roughly speaking, local asymptotic normality means that the family consisting of joint states of n identically prepared quantum systems approaches in a statistical sense a family of Gaussian state ϕ u of an algebra of canonical commutation relations. The convergence holds for all “local parameters” such that parametrizes a neighborhood of a fixed point . In order to prove the result we define weak and strong convergence of quantum statistical experiments which extend to the asymptotic framework the notion of quantum sufficiency introduces by Petz. Along the way we introduce the concept of canonical state of a statistical experiment, and investigate the relation between the two notions of convergence. For the reader’s convenience and completeness we review the relevant results of the classical as well as the quantum theory. A translation invariant system of interacting quantum anharmonic oscillators indexed by the elements of a simple cubic lattice is considered. The anharmonic potential is of general type, which in particular means that it might have no symmetry. For this system, we prove that the global polarization (obtained in the thermodynamic limit) gets discontinuous at a certain value of the external field provided d ≥ 3, and the particle mass as well as the interaction intensity are big enough. The proof is based on the representation of local Gibbs states in terms of path measures and thereby on the use of the infrared estimates and the Garsia–Rodemich–Rumsey inequality.   相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the macroscopic quantum behavior of simple superconducting circuits. Starting from a Lagrangian for electromagnetic field with broken gauge symmetry, we construct a quantum circuit model for a superconducting weak link (SQUID) ring, together with the appropriate canonical commutation relations. We demonstrate that this model can be used to describe macroscopic excitations of the superconducting condensate and the localized charge states found in some ultrasmall-capacitance weak-link devices.  相似文献

I describe a functional integral for maps from to a Lie group or its quotient which has a simple renormalization that leads to a quantum field theory for maps from into the Lie group or its quotient whose Hamiltonian is the time translation generator for a unitary action of the n+1 dimensional Poincaré group on the quantum Hilbert space. I also explain how the renormalization provides a functional integral for maps from a Riemann surface to a compact Lie group or its quotient that exhibits many conformal field theoretic properties.Support in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation  相似文献

We show that the total time of evolution from the initial quantum state to final quantum state and then back to the initial state, i.e., making a round trip along the great circle over S 2, must have a lower bound in quantum mechanics, if the difference between two eigenstates of the 2×2 Hamiltonian is kept fixed. Even the non-hermitian quantum mechanics can not reduce it to arbitrarily small value. In fact, we show that whether one uses a hermitian Hamiltonian or a non-hermitian, the required minimal total time of evolution is same. It is argued that in hermitian quantum mechanics the condition for minimal time evolution can be understood as a constraint coming from the orthogonality of the polarization vector P of the evolving quantum state with the vector of the 2×2 hermitian Hamiltonians and it is shown that the Hamiltonian H can be parameterized by two independent parameters and Θ.

We investigate the construction of four-family ${ \mathcal N }=1$ supersymmetric Pati–Salam models from Type IIA ${{\mathbb{T}}}^{6}/{{\mathbb{Z}}}_{2}\times {{\mathbb{Z}}}_{2}$ orientifold with intersecting D6-branes. Utilizing the deterministic algorithm introduced in He W, Li T and Sun R (2021 arXiv: hep-th/2112.09632), we obtain 274 types of models with three rectangular tori and distinct gauge coupling relations at string scale, while 6 types of models with two rectangular tori and one tilted torus. In both cases, there exists a class of models with gauge coupling unification at string scale. In particular, for the models with two rectangular tori, one tilted torus and gauge coupling unification, the gaugino condensations are allowed, and thus supersymmetry breaking and moduli stabilization are possible for further phenomenological study.  相似文献

We study a one-dimensional Josephson-junction chain embedded in a magnetic field. We show that, when the magnetic flux per elementary loop equals half the superconducting flux quantum phi0 = h/2e, a local Z2 symmetry arises. This symmetry is responsible for a nematic Luttinger liquid state associated with bound states of Cooper pairs. We analyze the phase diagram and discuss some experimental possibilities to observe this exotic phase.  相似文献

The relationship of local ordering and long-range order is studied for quasicrystalline tilings of plane and space. Two versions of the concept of local rules are introduced: strong and weak. Necessary conditions of the existence of strong local rules are found. They are mainly reduced to the constraints for irrational numbers related to incommensurabilities of the quasicrystals. For planar quasicrystals the quadratic irrationalities play an important role. For three-dimensional quasicrystals not only quadratic but also cubic irrationalities are allowed. The existence of weak local rules is established for almost all two-dimensional quasicrystals based on quadratic irrationalities and for the three-dimensional quasicrystal having icosahedral symmetry.  相似文献

We study the dynamical quantum phase transitions (DQPTs) in the $XY$ chains with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and the $XZY$-$YZX$ type of three-site interaction after a sudden quench. Both the models can be mapped to the spinless free fermion models by the Jordan-Wigner and Bogoliubov transformations with the form $H=\sum_{k}ǎrepsilon_{k}(\eta^{†}_{k}\eta_{k}-\frac{1}{2})$, where the quasiparticle excitation spectra $ǎrepsilon_{k}$ may be smaller than 0 for some $k$ and are asymmetrical ($ǎrepsilon_{k}\neqǎrepsilon_{-k}$). It is found that the factors of Loschmidt echo equal 1 for some $k$ corresponding to the quasiparticle excitation spectra of the pre-quench Hamiltonian satisfying $ǎrepsilon_{k}\cdotǎrepsilon_{-k}<0$, when the quench is from the gapless phase. By considering the quench from different ground states, we obtain the conditions for the occurrence of DQPTs for the general $XY$ chains with gapless phase, and find that the DQPTs may not occur in the quench across the quantum phase transitions regardless of whether the quench is from the gapless phase to gapped phase or from the gapped phase to gapless phase. This is different from the DQPTs in the case of quench from the gapped phase to gapped phase, in which the DQPTs will always appear. Moreover, we analyze the different reasons for the absence of DQPTs in the quench from the gapless phase and the gapped phase. The conclusion can also be extended to the general quantum spin chains.  相似文献
