利用F-P谐振腔实验研究了高功率掺Yb3+光子晶体光纤激光器。使用915 nm和976 nm两种波长的泵浦源进行双端泵浦,在23 m长的双包层光子晶体光纤中获得了552 W的连续单模激光输出。该激光器的斜率效率约为76%,光-光转换效率为56%,光谱中心波长为1 078 nm,光束质量平方因子为1.2。  相似文献

从光纤热传导方程出发,研究了不同泵浦光吸收系数对光纤激光器沿光纤长度方向温度分布的影响。结果表明,低吸收系数光纤泵浦端温度相对较低,分布较为平缓,有效减缓光纤的热损伤。根据理论分析结果,实验中选择了吸收系数为1.45 dB/m的掺Yb3+双包层光子晶体光纤作为增益介质,在泵浦光功率为560 W时,获得了428.5 W的高功率单模连续输出,斜率效率为76.5%,光束质量因子M2<1.2。由于泵浦端光纤温度较高,实验中对光纤两端进行了主动冷却,并且在离光纤端面约25 cm处的光纤表面温度进行实时测量,结果发现随着泵浦光功率的增加,光纤表面温度均匀增长,最高温度为310 K,温度正常。  相似文献

对高功率光子晶体光纤激光器温度分布问题进行了理论研究.在分析光纤热产生机理和结构的基础上,建立了双包层光子晶体光纤激光器稳态切面温度分布简单模型,数值模拟了光纤径向的温度分布、纤芯温度和纤芯-表面温差与纤芯热负载的关系,研究了光纤结构对温度分布的影响;并就激光器光纤泵浦端面的冷却方案进行讨论,数值模拟了外界对流系数不同时纤芯温度的大小.结果表明:对高功率光子晶体光纤激光器采用风冷和水冷的方法可以降低热效应的影响.  相似文献

为了验证复合晶体使用到半导体泵浦的固体激光器中与非复合晶体的区别,提高半导体泵浦的固体激光器的工作效率,开展了半导体激光泵浦YAP/Tm∶YAP复合晶体固体激光器的热效应的验证实验。采用有限元分析法,模拟了晶体温度及热应力的分布,并分析了热透镜长度的变化情况。结果发现,与非复合晶体相比,复合晶体的温度和热应力均有不同程度的下降,复合晶体工作时的最高温度降至其80%,热应力降至其70%。同时也验证了热透镜焦距不随非掺杂晶体长度的增大而改变,这也意味着复合晶体不能有效提高复合激光的光束质量,但是可以确保输出激光光束质量的稳定性。因此可以证实,使用复合晶体能够有效改善激光器的温度和力学特性,但不能优化固体激光器的光束质量。  相似文献

首次报道了氙灯泵浦的自激活自倍频NYAB复合功能晶体的BDN染料片调Q运转,获得了自倍频绿光单脉冲.测量了不同L和T_o情况下的绿光脉冲的能量、脉宽和峰值功率.文中还从理论上推导了自激活自倍频晶体调Q激光器的方程组.数值求解方程组,所得的理论数据与实验结果很好地相符.最后,讨论了进一步提高绿光脉冲峰值功率的途径.  相似文献

A CW NYAB laser at 1.06 μm end-pumped by a high-power diode-laser-array has been demonstrated. At the incident pump power of 11 W, a maximum output power of 3.2 W was achieved, resulting in an optical conversion efficiency of 29.1%, and average slope efficiency of 37.5%. The output beam quality factor was measured to be M2=1.9. The internal losses caused by the NYAB crystal were measured to be 0.035 cm−1. The NYAB crystal was also found to exhibit very strong thermal lensing under high-power end-pumped conditions.  相似文献

Tunable properties of optically pumped FIR lasers have been studied on the basis of sixlevel quantum system approach. The signal flow graph method was used to solve the density matrix equations. Direct writing waveguides inside YAG crystal by femtosecond laser   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A 120 fs Ti-sapphire laser was used to fabricate waveguides in YAG crystal. A 7 mm long waveguide was written at a position of 100 μm below the surface, which shows multimode propagation at 633 nm with optical attenuation of about 0.2 dB/mm. The light guiding occurs in the region around the visible laser-damaged region, indicating that the light guiding area is induced by stress. The waveguide exhibited strong birefringence property with maximum magnitude of about 1.5 × 10−5. Infrared and Raman spectroscopy analysis indicate there is no change in chemical composition in laser-modified zone.  相似文献

In this work, an active, reflecting diffraction grating was developed and characterized. A grating was holographically imposed onto the surface of a ceramic which could be deformed via the transverse, inverse piezoelectric effect, thus allowing active fine tuning of the grating constant. The tuning characteristics of this novel optical element were studied and the results compared with the linear theory of the piezoelectric effect. To demonstrate its applicability, the grating was installed in a dye laser and used to effect precise tuning of the output wavelength of the laser within a range of 220 pm. The possibility of quasi-static to high frequency operation of the system will allow this element to find use in a wide variety of applications.  相似文献

构建了掺镱大模场面积单偏振光子晶体光纤飞秒激光非线性放大系统. 讨论了腔内净色散量和抽运功率对振荡级输出参数的影响和振荡级参数对放大级输出参数的影响. 在本实验条件下, 当腔内净色散量取较大负色散时, 振荡级直接输出的脉冲更宽, 且携带更少的啁啾. 当振荡级抽运4.53 W时, 选择最接近变换极限的脉冲作为种子脉冲, 放大级在60 W抽运时输出压缩后无基底的短脉冲, 宽度为45.7 fs, 平均功率28 W. 振荡级抽运功率增加到5.08 W, 放大级抽运70 W时, 获得最高输出功率34.5 W, 对应脉宽53.5 fs.  相似文献

Single‐crystal Raman and polycrystalline thin‐film infrared measurements have been obtained for the polar organic nonlinear optical material 2‐(α‐methylbenzylamino)‐5‐nitropyridine (MBANP). For comparison, thin‐film polycrystalline infrared measurements were also made on 2‐(α‐methylbenzylamino)‐3,5‐dinitropyridine (MBADNP). The long wavelength electronic absorption was measured in several solvents and as a thin solid film. The Raman spectra are dominated by three intense bands attributed to vibrations of the ring, the NO2 substituent, and the N H bond. The most intense scattering and absorption arose from the αbb component of the polarisability tensor. This implies that the most significant contribution to the transition polarisability arises from the electronic transition near 383 nm, polarised along the b‐axis of the crystal. The strongest bands in the infrared spectra are also associated with the same three bands, consistent with the predictions of the effective conjugation coordinate (ECC) theory, implying efficient electron–phonon coupling (or electronic delocalisation) in the conjugated system. DFT calculations of vibrational wavenumbers and eigenvectors were used to assign relevant vibrational features and to derive useful information about the molecular structure. This single‐crystal material is also a strong candidate for an efficient laser Raman converter with a large wavenumber shift of 3404 cm−1 and a high damage threshold. We present an overview of a novel first‐principles quantum approach to designing and optimizing semiconductor quantum‐well material systems for target wavelengths. Using these microscopic inputs as basic building blocks we predict the light‐current (LI) characteristic for a low power InGaPAs ridge laser without having to use adjustable fit parameters. Finally we employ these microscopic inputs to develop sophisticated simulation capabilities for designing and optimizing end packaged hi gh power laser structures. As an explicit example of the latter, we consider the design of a vertical external cavity semiconductor laser (VECSEL).  相似文献
