In the moduli space of curves of genus g, $\mathcal{M}_g$ , let ${\cal GP}_g$ be the locus of curves that do not satisfy the Gieseker-Petri theorem. In this note we show that ${\cal GP}_6$ is a divisor in $\mathcal{M}_6$ .  相似文献

Let V be a two-dimensional absolutely irreducible ${\overline{\mathbb Qp}}$ -representation of ${{\rm Gal}(\overline{\mathbb Qp}/\mathbb Qp)}$ and let ${\prod(V)}$ be the ${{\rm GL}_2(\mathbb Qp)}$ Banach representation associated by Colmez??s p-adic Langlands correspondence. We establish a link between the action of the Lie algebra of ${{\rm GL}_2(\mathbb Qp)}$ on the locally analytic vectors ${\prod(V)^{\rm an}}$ of ${\prod(V)}$ , the connection ${\nabla}$ on the ${(\varphi, \Gamma)}$ -module associated to V and the Sen polynomial of V. This answers a question of Harris, concerning the infinitesimal character of ${\prod(V)^{\rm an}}$ . Using this result, we give a new proof of a theorem of Colmez, stating that ${\prod(V)}$ has nonzero locally algebraic vectors if and only if V is potentially semi-stable with distinct Hodge?CTate weights.  相似文献

In this paper we provide a first realization of an idea of Jacques Tits from a 1956 paper, which first mentioned that there should be a field of charactéristique une, which is now called ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ , the field with one element. This idea was that every split reductive group scheme over ${\mathbb{Z}}$ should descend to ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ , and its group of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -rational points should be its Weyl group. We connect the notion of a torified scheme to the notion of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -schemes as introduced by Connes and Consani. This yields models of toric varieties, Schubert varieties and split reductive group schemes as ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -schemes. We endow the class of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -schemes with two classes of morphisms, one leading to a satisfying notion of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -rational points, the other leading to the notion of an algebraic group over ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ such that every split reductive group is defined as an algebraic group over ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ . Furthermore, we show that certain combinatorics that are expected from parabolic subgroups of GL(n) and Grassmann varieties are realized in this theory.  相似文献

We denote by Conc A the ${(\vee, 0)}$ -semilattice of all finitely generated congruences of an algebra A. A lifting of a ${(\vee, 0)}$ -semilattice S is an algebra A such that ${S \cong {\rm Con}_{\rm c} A}$ . The assignment Conc can be extended to a functor. The notion of lifting is generalized to diagrams of ${(\vee, 0)}$ -semilattices. A gamp is a partial algebra endowed with a partial subalgebra together with a semilattice-valued distance; gamps form a category that lends itself to a universal algebraic-type study. The raison d’être of gamps is that any algebra can be approximated by its finite subgamps, even in case it is not locally finite. Let ${\mathcal{V}}$ and ${\mathcal{W}}$ be varieties of algebras (on finite, possibly distinct, similarity types). Let P be a finite lattice. We assume the existence of a combinatorial object, called an ${\aleph_0}$ -lifter of P, of infinite cardinality ${\lambda}$ . Let ${\vec{A}}$ be a P-indexed diagram of finite algebras in ${\mathcal{V}}$ . If ${{\rm Con}_{\rm c} \circ \vec{A}}$ has no partial lifting in the category of gamps of ${\mathcal{W}}$ , then there is an algebra ${A \in \mathcal{V}}$ of cardinality ${\lambda}$ such that Conc A is not isomorphic to Conc B for any ${B \in \mathcal{W}}$ . This makes it possible to generalize several known results. In particular, we prove the following theorem, without assuming that ${\mathcal{W}}$ is locally finite. Let ${\mathcal{V}}$ be locally finite and let ${\mathcal{W}}$ be congruence-proper (i.e., congruence lattices of infinite members of ${\mathcal{W}}$ are infinite). The following equivalence holds. Every countable ${(\vee, 0)}$ -semilattice with a lifting in ${\mathcal{V}}$ has a lifting in ${\mathcal{W}}$ if and only if every ${\omega}$ -indexed diagram of finite ${(\vee, 0)}$ -semilattices with a lifting in ${\mathcal{V}}$ has a lifting in ${\mathcal{W}}$ . Gamps are also applied to the study of congruence-preserving extensions. Let ${\mathcal{V}}$ be a non-semidistributive variety of lattices and let n ≥ 2 be an integer. There is a bounded lattice ${A \in \mathcal{V}}$ of cardinality ${\aleph_1}$ with no congruence n-permutable, congruence-preserving extension. The lattice A is constructed as a condensate of a square-indexed diagram of lattices.  相似文献

We study cohomological induction for a pair $ {\left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k}} \right)} $ , $ \mathfrak{g} $ being an infinitedimensional locally reductive Lie algebra and $ \mathfrak{k} \subset \mathfrak{g} $ being of the form $ \mathfrak{k}_{0} \subset C_{\mathfrak{g}} {\left( {\mathfrak{k}_{0} } \right)} $ , where $ \mathfrak{k}_{0} \subset \mathfrak{g} $ is a finite-dimensional reductive in $ \mathfrak{g} $ subalgebra and $ C_{\mathfrak{g}} {\left( {\mathfrak{k}_{0} } \right)} $ is the centralizer of $ \mathfrak{k}_{0} $ in $ \mathfrak{g} $ . We prove a general nonvanishing and $ \mathfrak{k} $ -finiteness theorem for the output. This yields, in particular, simple $ {\left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k}} \right)} $ -modules of finite type over k which are analogs of the fundamental series of generalized Harish-Chandra modules constructed in [PZ1] and [PZ2]. We study explicit versions of the construction when $ \mathfrak{g} $ is a root-reductive or diagonal locally simple Lie algebra.  相似文献

This paper addresses the question of retrieving the triple ${(\mathcal X,\mathcal P, E)}$ from the algebraic geometry code ${\mathcal C = \mathcal C_L(\mathcal X, \mathcal P, E)}$ , where ${\mathcal X}$ is an algebraic curve over the finite field ${\mathbb F_q, \,\mathcal P}$ is an n-tuple of ${\mathbb F_q}$ -rational points on ${\mathcal X}$ and E is a divisor on ${\mathcal X}$ . If ${\deg(E)\geq 2g+1}$ where g is the genus of ${\mathcal X}$ , then there is an embedding of ${\mathcal X}$ onto ${\mathcal Y}$ in the projective space of the linear series of the divisor E. Moreover, if ${\deg(E)\geq 2g+2}$ , then ${I(\mathcal Y)}$ , the vanishing ideal of ${\mathcal Y}$ , is generated by ${I_2(\mathcal Y)}$ , the homogeneous elements of degree two in ${I(\mathcal Y)}$ . If ${n >2 \deg(E)}$ , then ${I_2(\mathcal Y)=I_2(\mathcal Q)}$ , where ${\mathcal Q}$ is the image of ${\mathcal P}$ under the map from ${\mathcal X}$ to ${\mathcal Y}$ . These three results imply that, if ${2g+2\leq m < \frac{1}{2}n}$ , an AG representation ${(\mathcal Y, \mathcal Q, F)}$ of the code ${\mathcal C}$ can be obtained just using a generator matrix of ${\mathcal C}$ where ${\mathcal Y}$ is a normal curve in ${\mathbb{P}^{m-g}}$ which is the intersection of quadrics. This fact gives us some clues for breaking McEliece cryptosystem based on AG codes provided that we have an efficient procedure for computing and decoding the representation obtained.  相似文献

In a natural way, we can ??lift?? any operation defined on a set A to an operation on the set of all non-empty subsets of A and obtain from any algebra ( ${A, \Omega}$ ) its power algebra of subsets. G. Gr?tzer and H. Lakser proved that for a variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ , the variety ${\mathcal{V}\Sigma}$ generated by power algebras of algebras in ${\mathcal{V}}$ satisfies precisely the consequences of the linear identities true in ${\mathcal{V}}$ . For certain types of algebras, the sets of their subalgebras form subalgebras of their power algebras. They are called the algebras of subalgebras. In this paper, we partially solve a long-standing problem concerning identities satisfied by the variety ${\mathcal{VS}}$ generated by algebras of subalgebras of algebras in a given variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ . We prove that if a variety ${\mathcal{V}}$ is idempotent and entropic and the variety ${\mathcal{V}\Sigma}$ is locally finite, then the variety ${\mathcal{VS}}$ is defined by the idempotent and linear identities true in ${\mathcal{V}}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{A}}$ be a collection of n linear hyperplanes in ${\mathbb{k}^\ell}$ , where ${\mathbb{k}}$ is an algebraically closed field. The Orlik-Terao algebra of ${\mathcal{A}}$ is the subalgebra ${{\rm R}(\mathcal{A})}$ of the rational functions generated by reciprocals of linear forms vanishing on hyperplanes of ${\mathcal{A}}$ . It determines an irreducible subvariety ${Y (\mathcal{A})}$ of ${\mathbb{P}^{n-1}}$ . We show that a flat X of ${\mathcal{A}}$ is modular if and only if ${{\rm R}(\mathcal{A})}$ is a split extension of the Orlik-Terao algebra of the subarrangement ${\mathcal{A}_X}$ . This provides another refinement of Stanley’s modular factorization theorem [34] and a new characterization of modularity, similar in spirit to the fibration theorem of [27]. We deduce that if ${\mathcal{A}}$ is supersolvable, then its Orlik-Terao algebra is Koszul. In certain cases, the algebra is also a complete intersection, and we characterize when this happens.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that the extended modular group ${\hat{\Gamma}}$ acts on ${\hat{\mathbb{Q}}}$ transitively and imprimitively. Then the number of orbits of ${\hat{\Gamma} _{0}(N)}$ on ${\hat{\mathbb{Q}}}$ is calculated and compared with the number of orbits of ${\Gamma _{0}(N)}$ on ${\hat{\mathbb{Q}}}$ . Especially, we obtain the graphs ${\hat{G}_{u, N}}$ of ${\hat{\Gamma}_{0}(N)}$ on ${\hat{\mathbb{Q}}}$ , for each ${N\in\mathbb{N}}$ and each unit ${u \in U_{N} }$ , then we determine the suborbital graph ${\hat{F}_{u,N}}$ . We also give the edge conditions in ${\hat{G}_{u, N}}$ and the necessary and sufficient conditions for a circuit to be triangle in ${\hat{F}_{u, N}.}$   相似文献

In this paper, we prove stability of contact discontinuities for full Euler system. We fix a flat duct ${\mathcal{N}_0}$ of infinite length in ${\mathbb{R}^2}$ with width W 0 and consider two uniform subsonic flow ${{U_l}^{\pm}=(u_l^{\pm}, 0, pl,\rho_l^{\pm})}$ with different horizontal velocity in ${\mathcal{N}_0}$ divided by a flat contact discontinuity ${\Gamma_{cd}}$ . And, we slightly perturb the boundary of ${\mathcal{N}_0}$ so that the width of the perturbed duct converges to ${W_0+\omega}$ for ${|\omega| < \delta}$ at ${x=\infty}$ for some ${\delta >0 }$ . Then, we prove that if the asymptotic state at left far field is given by ${{U_l}^{\pm}}$ , and if the perturbation of boundary of ${\mathcal{N}_0}$ and ${\delta}$ is sufficiently small, then there exists unique asymptotic state ${{U_r}^{\pm}}$ with a flat contact discontinuity ${\Gamma_{cd}^*}$ at right far field( ${x=\infty}$ ) and unique weak solution ${U}$ of the Euler system so that U consists of two subsonic flow with a contact discontinuity in between, and that U converges to ${{U_l}^{\pm}}$ and ${{U_r}^{\pm}}$ at ${x=-\infty}$ and ${x=\infty}$ respectively. For that purpose, we establish piecewise C 1 estimate across a contact discontinuity of a weak solution to Euler system depending on the perturbation of ${\partial\mathcal{N}_0}$ and ${\delta}$ .  相似文献

In this paper we give criteria for a finite group to belong to a formation. As applications, recent theorems of Li, Shen, Shi and Qian are generalized. Let G  be a finite group, $\cal F$ a formation and p  a prime. Let $D_{\mathcal {F}}(G)$ be the intersection of the normalizers of the $\cal F$ -residuals of all subgroups of G, and let $D_{\mathcal {F}}^{p}(G)$ be the intersection of the normalizers of $(H^{\cal F}O_{p'}(G))$ for all subgroups H of G. We then define $D_{\mathcal F}^{0}(G)=D_{\mathcal F, p}^{~0}(G)=1$ and $D_{\mathcal F}^{i+1}(G)/D_{\mathcal F}^{i}(G)=D_{\mathcal F}(G/D_{\mathcal F}^{i}(G))$ , $D_{\mathcal F, p}^{i+1}(G)/D_{\mathcal F, p}^{~i}(G)=D_{\mathcal F, p}(G/D_{\mathcal F, p}^{~i}(G))$ . Let $D_{\mathcal {F}}^{\infty}(G)$ and $D_{\mathcal {F}, p}^{~\infty}(G)$ denote the terminal member of the ascending series of $D_{\mathcal F}^{i}(G)$ and $D_{\mathcal F, p}^{~i}(G)$ respectively. In this paper we prove that under certain hypotheses, the the $\cal F$ -residual $G^{\cal F}$ is nilpotent (respectively,p-nilpotent) if and only if $G=D_{\mathcal {F}}^{\infty}(G)$ (respectively, $G=D_{\mathcal {F}, p}^{~\infty}(G)$ ). Further more, if the formation $\cal F$ is either the class of all nilpotent groups or the class of all abelian groups, then $G^{\cal F}$ is p-nilpotent if and only if and only if every cyclic subgroup of G order p and 4 (if p?=?2) is contained in $D_{\mathcal {F}, p}^{~\infty}(G)$ .  相似文献

Let $V$ be a symplectic vector space of dimension $2n$ . Given a partition $\lambda $ with at most $n$ parts, there is an associated irreducible representation $\mathbf{{S}}_{[\lambda ]}(V)$ of $\mathbf{{Sp}}(V)$ . This representation admits a resolution by a natural complex $L^{\lambda }_{\bullet }$ , which we call the Littlewood complex, whose terms are restrictions of representations of $\mathbf{{GL}}(V)$ . When $\lambda $ has more than $n$ parts, the representation $\mathbf{{S}}_{[\lambda ]}(V)$ is not defined, but the Littlewood complex $L^{\lambda }_{\bullet }$ still makes sense. The purpose of this paper is to compute its homology. We find that either $L^{\lambda }_{\bullet }$ is acyclic or it has a unique nonzero homology group, which forms an irreducible representation of $\mathbf{{Sp}}(V)$ . The nonzero homology group, if it exists, can be computed by a rule reminiscent of that occurring in the Borel–Weil–Bott theorem. This result can be interpreted as the computation of the “derived specialization” of irreducible representations of $\mathbf{{Sp}}(\infty )$ and as such categorifies earlier results of Koike–Terada on universal character rings. We prove analogous results for orthogonal and general linear groups. Along the way, we will see two topics from commutative algebra: the minimal free resolutions of determinantal ideals and Koszul homology.  相似文献

This paper considers automorphism groups of finite digraphs whose edge set can be decomposed into oriented cycles. The cycles are coloured in such a way that any two cycles of equal colour are vertex-disjoint. A ${\cal P}$ -automorphism is defined to be an automorphism of the underlying digraph which preserves the decomposition ${\cal P}$ into coloured cycles. In this paper the isomorphism class of the group of ${\cal P}$ -automorphisms is determined for each decomposition of ${\cal P}$ . The results are obtained using a representation of coloured digraphs as coset digraphs of groups defined by the colouring.  相似文献

Let X be an ANR (absolute neighborhood retract), ${\Lambda}$ a k-dimensional topological manifold with topological orientation ${\eta}$ , and ${f : D \rightarrow X}$ a locally compact map, where D is an open subset of ${X \times \Lambda}$ . We define Fix(f) as the set of points ${{(x, \lambda) \in D}}$ such that ${x = f(x, \lambda)}$ . For an open pair (U, V) in ${X \times \Lambda}$ such that ${{\rm Fix}(f) \cap U \backslash V}$ is compact we construct a homomorphism ${\Sigma_{(f,U,V)} : H^{k}(U, V ) \rightarrow R}$ in the singular cohomologies H* over a ring-with-unit R, in such a way that the properties of Solvability, Excision and Naturality, Homotopy Invariance, Additivity, Multiplicativity, Normalization, Orientation Invariance, Commutativity, Contraction, Topological Invariance, and Ring Naturality hold. In the case of a ${C^{\infty}}$ -manifold ${\Lambda}$ , these properties uniquely determine ${\Sigma}$ . By passing to the direct limit of ${\Sigma_{(f,U,V)}}$ with respect to the pairs (U, V) such that ${K = {\rm Fix}(f) \cap U \backslash V}$ , we define a homomorphism ${\sigma_{(f,K)} : {H}_{k}({\rm Fix}(f), Fix(f) \backslash K) \rightarrow R}$ in the ?ech cohomologies. Properties of ${\Sigma}$ and ${\sigma}$ are equivalent each to the other. We indicate how the homomorphisms generalize the fixed point index.  相似文献

Let $\mathbb{K }$ be a field of characteristic zero. We describe an algorithm which requires a homogeneous polynomial $F$ of degree three in $\mathbb{K }[x_{0},x_1,x_{2},x_{3}]$ and a zero ${\mathbf{a }}$ of $F$ in $\mathbb{P }^{3}_{\mathbb{K }}$ and ensures a linear Pfaffian representation of $\text{ V}(F)$ with entries in $\mathbb{K }[x_{0},x_{1},x_{2},x_{3}]$ , under mild assumptions on $F$ and ${\mathbf{a }}$ . We use this result to give an explicit construction of (and to prove the existence of) a linear Pfaffian representation of $\text{ V}(F)$ , with entries in $\mathbb{K }^{\prime }[x_{0},x_{1},x_{2},x_{3}]$ , being $\mathbb{K }^{\prime }$ an algebraic extension of $\mathbb{K }$ of degree at most six. An explicit example of such a construction is given.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{P}}$ be a nonparametric probability model consisting of smooth probability densities and let ${\hat{p}_{n}}$ be the corresponding maximum likelihood estimator based on n independent observations each distributed according to the law ${\mathbb{P}}$ . With $\hat{\mathbb{P}}_{n}$ denoting the measure induced by the density ${\hat{p}_{n}}$ , define the stochastic process ${\hat{\nu}}_{n}: f\longmapsto \sqrt{n} \int fd({\hat{\mathbb{P}}}_{n} -\mathbb{P})$ where f ranges over some function class ${\mathcal{F}}$ . We give a general condition for Donsker classes ${\mathcal{F}}$ implying that the stochastic process $\hat{\nu}_{n}$ is asymptotically equivalent to the empirical process in the space ${\ell ^{\infty }(\mathcal{F})}$ of bounded functions on ${ \mathcal{F}}$ . This implies in particular that $\hat{\nu}_{n}$ converges in law in ${\ell ^{\infty }(\mathcal{F})}$ to a mean zero Gaussian process. We verify the general condition for a large family of Donsker classes ${\mathcal{ F}}$ . We give a number of applications: convergence of the probability measure ${\hat{\mathbb{P}}_{n}}$ to ${\mathbb{P}}$ at rate ${\sqrt{n}}$ in certain metrics metrizing the topology of weak(-star) convergence; a unified treatment of convergence rates of the MLE in a continuous scale of Sobolev-norms; ${\sqrt{n}}$ -efficient estimation of nonlinear functionals defined on ${\mathcal{P}}$ ; limit theorems at rate ${\sqrt{n}}$ for the maximum likelihood estimator of the convolution product ${\mathbb{P\ast P}}$ .  相似文献

Let $\cal{A}$ be a Henselian discrete valuation ring with fractions K and with perfect residue field k of characteristic p?>?0. Let G be a connected and reductive algebraic group over K, and let $\cal{P}$ be a parahoric group scheme over $\cal{A}$ with generic fiber ${\cal{P}}_{/K} = G$ . The special fiber ${\cal{P}}_{/k}$ is a linear algebraic group over k. If G splits over an unramified extension of K, we proved in some previous work that the special fiber ${\cal{P}}_{/k}$ has a Levi factor, and that any two Levi factors of ${\cal{P}}_{/k}$ are geometrically conjugate. In the present paper, we extend a portion of this result. Following a suggestion of Gopal Prasad, we prove that if G splits over a tamely ramified extension of K, then the geometric special fiber ${\cal{P}}_{/k_{\rm{alg}}}$ has a Levi factor, where k alg is an algebraic closure of k.  相似文献

Let $G$ be a complex affine algebraic reductive group, and let $K\,\subset \, G$ be a maximal compact subgroup. Fix h $\,:=\,(h_{1}\,,\ldots \,,h_{m})\,\in \, K^{m}$ . For $n\, \ge \, 0$ , let $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ (respectively, $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{K}$ ) be the space of equivalence classes of representations of the free group on $m+n$ generators in $G$ (respectively, $K$ ) such that for each $1\le i\le m$ , the image of the $i$ -th free generator is conjugate to $h_{i}$ . These spaces are parabolic analogues of character varieties of free groups. We prove that $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{K}$ is a strong deformation retraction of $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ . In particular, $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ and $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{K}$ are homotopy equivalent. We also describe explicit examples relating $\mathsf X _{\mathbf{{h}},n}^{G}$ to relative character varieties.  相似文献
