Let X be a complex smooth projective variety, and G a locally free sheaf on X. We show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between pairs (Λ, Ξ), where Λ is a sheaf of almost polynomial filtered algebras over X satisfying Simpson’s axioms and \( \equiv :Gr\Lambda \to Sym \bullet _{\mathcal{O}_X } \mathcal{G}\) is an isomorphism, and pairs (L, Σ), where L is a holomorphic Lie algebroid structure on \(\mathcal{G}\) and Σ is a class in F 1 H 2(L, ?), the first Hodge filtration piece of the second cohomology of L.As an application, we construct moduli spaces of semistable flat L-connections for any holomorphic Lie algebroid L. Particular examples of these are given by generalized holomorphic bundles for any generalized complex structure associated to a holomorphic Poisson manifold.  相似文献

We find a natural generalization of the concept of rigid group. The generalized rigid groups are also called r-groups. The terms of the corresponding rigid series of every r-group can be characterized by both ?-formulas and ?-formulas. We find a recursive system of axioms for the class of r-groups of fixed solubility length. We define divisible r-groups and give an appropriate system of axioms. Several fundamental problems are stated.  相似文献

We study compact complex submanifolds S of quotient manifolds X = ?/Γ of irreducible bounded symmetric domains by torsion free discrete lattices of automorphisms, and we are interested in the characterization of the totally geodesic submanifolds among compact splitting complex submanifolds S ? X, i.e., under the assumption that the tangent sequence over S splits holomorphically. We prove results of two types. The first type of results concerns S ? X which are characteristic complex submanifolds, i.e., embedding ? as an open subset of its compact dual manifold M by means of the Borel embedding, the non-zero(1, 0)-vectors tangent to S lift under a local inverse of the universal covering map π : ? → X to minimal rational tangents of M.We prove that a compact characteristic complex submanifold S ? X is necessarily totally geodesic whenever S is a splitting complex submanifold. Our proof generalizes the case of the characterization of totally geodesic complex submanifolds of quotients of the complex unit ball Bnobtained by Mok(2005). The proof given here is however new and it is based on a monotonic property of curvatures of Hermitian holomorphic vector subbundles of Hermitian holomorphic vector bundles and on exploiting the splitting of the tangent sequence to identify the holomorphic tangent bundle TSas a quotient bundle rather than as a subbundle of the restriction of the holomorphic tangent bundle TXto S. The second type of results concerns characterization of total geodesic submanifolds among compact splitting complex submanifolds S ? X deduced from the results of Aubin(1978)and Yau(1978) which imply the existence of K¨ahler-Einstein metrics on S ? X. We prove that compact splitting complex submanifolds S ? X of sufficiently large dimension(depending on ?) are necessarily totally geodesic. The proof relies on the Hermitian-Einstein property of holomorphic vector bundles associated to TS,which implies that endomorphisms of such bundles are parallel, and the construction of endomorphisms of these vector bundles by means of the splitting of the tangent sequence on S. We conclude with conjectures on the sharp lower bound on dim(S) guaranteeing total geodesy of S ? X for the case of the type-I domains of rank2 and the case of type-IV domains, and examine a case which is critical for both conjectures, i.e., on compact complex surfaces of quotients of the 4-dimensional Lie ball, equivalently the 4-dimensional type-I domain dual to the Grassmannian of 2-planes in C~4.  相似文献

Let d ? 3 be an integer, and set r = 2d?1 + 1 for 3 ? d ? 4, \(\tfrac{{17}}{{32}} \cdot 2^d + 1\) for 5 ? d ? 6, r = d2+d+1 for 7 ? d ? 8, and r = d2+d+2 for d ? 9, respectively. Suppose that Φ i (x, y) ∈ ?[x, y] (1 ? i ? r) are homogeneous and nondegenerate binary forms of degree d. Suppose further that λ1, λ2,..., λ r are nonzero real numbers with λ12 irrational, and λ1Φ1(x1, y1) + λ2Φ2(x2, y2) + · · · + λ r Φ r (x r , y r ) is indefinite. Then for any given real η and σ with 0 < σ < 22?d, it is proved that the inequality
$$\left| {\sum\limits_{i = 1}^r {{\lambda _i}\Phi {}_i\left( {{x_i},{y_i}} \right) + \eta } } \right| < {\left( {\mathop {\max \left\{ {\left| {{x_i}} \right|,\left| {{y_i}} \right|} \right\}}\limits_{1 \leqslant i \leqslant r} } \right)^{ - \sigma }}$$
has infinitely many solutions in integers x1, x2,..., x r , y1, y2,..., y r . This result constitutes an improvement upon that of B. Q. Xue.

We study holomorphic immersions f:XM from a complex manifoldX into a Kähler manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvatureM, i.e. a complex hyperbolic space form, a complex Euclidean space form, or the complex projective space equipped with the Fubini-Study metric. ForX compact we show that the tangent sequence splits holomorphically if and only iff is a totally geodesic immersion. ForX not necessarily compact we relate an intrinsic cohomological invariantp(X) onX, viz. the invariant defined by Gunning measuring the obstruction to the existence of holomorphic projective connections, to an extrinsic cohomological invariant(f) measuring the obstruction to the holomorphic splitting of the tangent sequence. The two invariantsp(X) and?(f) are related by a linear map on cohomology groups induced by the second fundamental form. In some cases, especially whenX is a complex surface andM is of complex dimension 4, under the assumption thatX admits a holomorphic projective connection we obtain a sufficient condition for the holomorphic splitting of the tangent sequence in terms of the second fundamental form.  相似文献

Let Γ be an antipodal graph with intersection array {2r+1, 2r?2, 1; 1, 2, 2r+1}, where 2r(r + 1) ≤ 4096. If 2r + 1 is a prime power, then Mathon’s scheme provides the existence of an arc-transitive graph with this intersection array. Note that 2r + 1 is not a prime power only for r ∈ {7, 17, 19, 22, 25, 27, 31, 32, 37, 38, 42, 43}. We study automorphisms of hypothetical distance-regular graphs with the specified values of r. The cases r ∈ {7, 17, 19} were considered earlier. We prove that, if Γ is a vertex-symmetric graph with intersection array {2r + 1, 2r ? 2, 1; 1, 2, 2r +1}, 2r + 1 is not a prime power, and r ≤ 43, then r = 25, 27, or 31.  相似文献

Let a(n) be the Fourier coefficient of a holomorphic cusp form on some discrete subgroup of \(SL_2({\mathbb R})\). This note is to refine a recent result of Hofmann and Kohnen on the non-positive (resp. non-negative) product of \(a(n)a(n+r)\) for a fixed positive integer r.  相似文献

It was proved that the complexity of square root computation in the Galois field GF(3s), s = 2kr, is equal to O(M(2k)M(r)k + M(r) log2r) + 2kkr1+o(1), where M (n) is the complexity of multiplication of polynomials of degree n over fields of characteristics 3. The complexity of multiplication and division in the field GF(3s) is equal to O(M(2k)M(r)) and O(M(2k)M(r)) + r1+o(1), respectively. If the basis in the field GF(3r) is determined by an irreducible binomial over GF(3) or is an optimal normal basis, then the summands 2kkr1+o(1) and r1+o(1) can be omitted. For M(n) one may take n log2nψ(n) where ψ(n) grows slower than any iteration of the logarithm. If k grow and r is fixed, than all the estimates presented here have the form Or (M (s) log 2s) = s (log 2s)2ψ(s).  相似文献

Suppose that a strongly regular graph Γ with parameters (v, k, λ, μ) has eigenvalues k, r, and s. If the graphs Γ and \(\bar \Gamma \) are connected, then the following inequalities, known as Krein’s conditions, hold: (i) (r + 1)(k + r + 2rs) ≤ (k + r)(s + 1)2 and (ii) (s + 1)(k + s + 2rs) ≤ (k + s)(r + 1)2. We say that Γ is a Krein graph if one of Krein’s conditions (i) and (ii) is an equality for this graph. A triangle-free Krein graph has parameters ((r 2 + 3r)2, r 3 + 3r 2 + r, 0, r 2 + r). We denote such a graph by Kre(r). It is known that, in the cases r = 1 and r = 2, the graphs Kre(r) exist and are unique; these are the Clebsch and Higman–Sims graphs, respectively. The latter was constructed in 1968 together with the Higman–Sims sporadic simple group. A.L. Gavrilyuk and A.A. Makhnev have proved that the graph Kre(3) does not exist. In this paper, it is proved that the graph Kre(4) (a strongly regular graph with parameters (784, 116, 0, 20)) does not exist either.  相似文献

Let X_1 and X_2 be two compact connected strongly pseudoconvex embeddable Cauchy-Riemann(CR) manifolds of dimensions 2m-1 and 2n-1 in C~(m+1)and C~(n+1), respectively. We introduce the ThomSebastiani sum X = X_1 ⊕X_2which is a new compact connected strongly pseudoconvex embeddable CR manifold of dimension 2m+2n+1 in C~(m+n+2). Thus the set of all codimension 3 strongly pseudoconvex compact connected CR manifolds in Cn+1for all n 2 forms a semigroup. X is said to be an irreducible element in this semigroup if X cannot be written in the form X_1 ⊕ X_2. It is a natural question to determine when X is an irreducible CR manifold. We use Kohn-Rossi cohomology groups to give a necessary condition of the above question. Explicitly,we show that if X = X_1 ⊕ X_2, then the Kohn-Rossi cohomology of the X is the product of those Kohn-Rossi cohomology coming from X_1 and X_2 provided that X_2 admits a transversal holomorphic S~1-action.  相似文献

We give the new inequality related to the J. C. C. Nitsche conjecture (see [6]). Moreover, we consider the two- and three-dimensional case. LetA(r, 1)={z:r<|z|<1}. Nitsche's conjecture states that if there exists a univalent harmonic mapping from an annulusA(r, 1), to an annulusA(s, 1), thens is at most 2r/(r 2+1).Lyzzaik's result states thats<t wheret is the length of the Grötzsch's ring domain associated withA(r, 1) (see [5]). Weitsman's result states thats≤1/(1+1/2(r logr)2) (see [8]).Our result for two-dimensional space states thats≤1/(1+1/2 log2 r) which improves Weitsman's bound for allr, and Lyzzaik's bound forr close to 1. For three-dimensional space the result states thats≤1/(r?logr).  相似文献

For a smooth complex curve C ? ?2 we consider the link Lr = C?Br, where Br denotes an Euclidean ball of radius r > 0. We prove that the diagram Dr obtained from Lr by a complex stereographic projection satisfies χ(CBr) = rot(Dr)?wr(Dr). As a consequence we show that if Dr has no negative Seifert circles and Lr is strongly quasipositive and fibered, then the Yamada–Vogel algorithm applied to Dr yields a quasipositive braid.  相似文献

Define T(d, r) = (d + 1)(r - 1) + 1. A well known theorem of Tverberg states that if nT(d, r), then one can partition any set of n points in Rd into r pairwise disjoint subsets whose convex hulls have a common point. The numbers T(d, r) are known as Tverberg numbers. Reay added another parameter k (2 ≤ kr) and asked: what is the smallest number n, such that every set of n points in Rd admits an r-partition, in such a way that each k of the convex hulls of the r parts meet. Call this number T(d, r, k). Reay conjectured that T(d, r, k) = T(d, r) for all d, r and k. In this paper we prove Reay’s conjecture in the following cases: when k ≥ [d+3/2], and also when d < rk/r-k - 1. The conjecture also holds for the specific values d = 3, r = 4, k = 2 and d = 5, r = 3, k = 2.  相似文献

Set \(A\subset {\mathbb N}\) is less than \(B\subset {\mathbb N}\) in the colex ordering if m a x(AB)∈B. In 1980’s, Frankl and Füredi conjectured that the r-uniform graph with m edges consisting of the first m sets of \({\mathbb N}^{(r)}\) in the colex ordering has the largest Lagrangian among all r-uniform graphs with m edges. A result of Motzkin and Straus implies that this conjecture is true for r=2. This conjecture seems to be challenging even for r=3. For a hypergraph H=(V,E), the set T(H)={|e|:eE} is called the edge type of H. In this paper, we study non-uniform hypergraphs and define L(H) a generalized Lagrangian of a non-uniform hypergraph H in which edges of different types have different weights. We study the following two questions: 1. Let H be a hypergraph with m edges and edge type T. Let C m,T denote the hypergraph with edge type T and m edges formed by taking the first m sets with cardinality in T in the colex ordering. Does L(H)≤L(C m,T ) hold? If T={r}, then this question is the question by Frankl and Füredi. 2. Given a hypergraph H, find a minimum subhypergraph G of H such that L(G) = L(H). A result of Motzkin and Straus gave a complete answer to both questions if H is a graph. In this paper, we give a complete answer to both questions for {1,2}-hypergraphs. Regarding the first question, we give a result for {1,r 1,r 2,…,r l }-hypergraph. We also show the connection between the generalized Lagrangian of {1,r 1,r 2,? ,r l }-hypergraphs and {r 1,r 2,? ,r l }-hypergraphs concerning the second question.  相似文献

Let \(M\subset {\mathbb {C}}^N\) and \(M'\subset {\mathbb {C}}^{N'}\) be real-analytic CR submanifolds, with M minimal. We provide a new sufficient condition, that happens to be also essentially necessary, for all sufficiently smooth CR maps \(h:U\rightarrow M'\) defined on a connected open subset of M and of rank larger than a prescribed integer r to be real-analytic on a dense open subset of U. This condition corresponds to the nonexistence of nontrivial holomorphic deformations of germs of real-analytic CR mappings whose rank is larger than r. As a consequence, we obtain several new results about analyticity of CR mappings that, at the same time, generalize and unify a number of previous existing ones.  相似文献

A real number α ∈ [0, 1) is a jump for an integer r ≥ 2 if there exists c > 0 such that for any ∈ > 0 and any integer mr, there exists an integer n 0 such that any r-uniform graph with n > n 0 vertices and density ≥ α + ∈ contains a subgraph with m vertices and density ≥ α + c. It follows from a fundamental theorem of Erdös and Stone that every α ∈ [0, 1) is a jump for r = 2. Erdös also showed that every number in [0, r!/r r ) is a jump for r ≥ 3 and asked whether every number in [0, 1) is a jump for r ≥ 3 as well. Frankl and Rödl gave a negative answer by showing a sequence of non-jumps for every r ≥ 3. Recently, more non-jumps were found for some r ≥ 3. But there are still a lot of unknowns on determining which numbers are jumps for r ≥ 3. The set of all previous known non-jumps for r = 3 has only an accumulation point at 1. In this paper, we give a sequence of non-jumps having an accumulation point other than 1 for every r ≥ 3. It generalizes the main result in the paper ‘A note on the jumping constant conjecture of Erdös’ by Frankl, Peng, Rödl and Talbot published in the Journal of Combinatorial Theory Ser. B. 97 (2007), 204–216.  相似文献

We consider the distance graph G(n, r, s), whose vertices can be identified with r-element subsets of the set {1, 2,..., n}, two arbitrary vertices being joined by an edge if and only if the cardinality of the intersection of the corresponding subsets is s. For s = 0, such graphs are known as Kneser graphs. These graphs are closely related to the Erd?s–Ko–Rado problem and also play an important role in combinatorial geometry and coding theory. We study some properties of random subgraphs of G(n, r, s) in the Erd?s–Rényi model, in which every edge occurs in the subgraph with some given probability p independently of the other edges. We find the asymptotics of the independence number of a random subgraph of G(n, r, s) for the case of constant r and s. The independence number of a random subgraph is Θ(log2n) times as large as that of the graph G(n, r, s) itself for r ≤ 2s + 1, while for r > 2s + 1 one has asymptotic stability: the two independence numbers asymptotically coincide.  相似文献

Let Wpr be the Sobolev class consisting of 2π-periodic functions f such that ‖f(r)p ≤ 1. We consider the relative widths dn(Wpr, MWpr, Lp), which characterize the best approximation of the class Wpr in the space Lp by linear subspaces for which (in contrast to Kolmogorov widths) it is additionally required that the approximating functions g should lie in MWpr, i.e., ‖g(r)pM. We establish estimates for the relative widths in the cases of p = 1 and p = ∞; it follows from these estimates that for almost optimal (with error at most Cn?r, where C is an absolute constant) approximations of the class Wpr by linear 2n-dimensional spaces, the norms of the rth derivatives of some approximating functions are not less than cln min(n, r) for large n and r.  相似文献

An r-dynamic coloring of a graph G is a proper coloring c of the vertices such that |c(N(v))| ≥ min {r, deg(v)}, for each vV (G). The r-dynamic chromatic number of a graph G is the smallest k such that G admits an r-dynamic coloring with k colors. In this paper, we obtain the r-dynamic chromatic number of the line graph of helm graphs Hn for all r between minimum and maximum degree of Hn. Moreover, our proofs are constructive, what means that we give also polynomial time algorithms for the appropriate coloring. Finally, as the first, we define an equivalent model for edge coloring.  相似文献

Let G be a connected linear algebraic group defined over \({\mathbb C}\). Fix a finite dimensional faithful G-module V 0. A holomorphic principal G-bundle E G over a compact connected Kähler manifold X is called finite if for each subquotient W of the G-module V 0, the holomorphic vector bundle E G (W) over X associated to E G for W is finite. Given a holomorphic principal G-bundle E G over X, we prove that the following four statements are equivalent: (1) The principal G-bundle E G admits a flat holomorphic connection whose monodromy group is finite. (2) There is a finite étale Galois covering \({f: Y \longrightarrow X}\) such that the pullback f*E G is a holomorphically trivializable principal G-bundle over Y. (3) For any finite dimensional complex G-module W, the holomorphic vector bundle E G (W) = E ×  G W over X, associated to the principal G-bundle E G for the G-module W, is finite. (4) The principal G-bundle E G is finite.  相似文献
