We consider three-dimensional subalgebras admitted by the equations of gas dynamics having time as an invariant and containing no rotation operator. For such subalgebras we seek for irregular partially invariant solutions of rank 2 and defect 1. The representation for solutions has the form which generalizes motion of a gas with a linear velocity field. We show that partially invariant solutions exist for each subalgebra. We describe the set of these solutions. We find solutions with the indicated representation that are not partially invariant. The solutions reducible to invariant solutions are generalized to new submodels.  相似文献

We investigate the existence of a true invariant manifold given an approximately invariant manifold for an infinite-dimensional dynamical system. We prove that if the given manifold is approximately invariant and approximately normally hyperbolic, then the dynamical system has a true invariant manifold nearby. We apply this result to reveal the global dynamics of boundary spike states for the generalized Allen–Cahn equation.  相似文献

Calculation of differential invariants and invariant differentiation operators of a subalgebra of the Lie algebra admitted by a system of differential equations enables us to construct differential invariant submodels. We classify submodels for every subalgebra of an optimal system of subalgebras. Classification includes the invariant submodels and partially invariant submodels considered earlier. We give examples of classification for three-dimensional subalgebras admitted by the equations of gas dynamics.  相似文献

In Bataineh (2003) [2] we studied the type one invariants for knots in the solid torus. In this research we study the type one invariants for n-component links in the solid torus by generalizing Aicardi's invariant for knots in the solid torus to n-component links in the solid torus. We show that the generalized Aicardi's invariant is the universal type one invariant, and we show that the generalized Aicardi's invariant restricted to n-component links in the solid torus with zero winding number for each component is equal to an invariant we define using the universal cover of the solid torus. We also define and study a geometric invariant for n-component links in the solid torus. We give a lower bound on this invariant using the type one invariants, which are easy to calculate, which helps in computing this geometric invariant, which is usually hard to calculate.  相似文献

We define and study Hilbert polynomials for certain holomorphic Hilbert spaces. We obtain several estimates for these polynomials and their coefficients. Our estimates inspire us to investigate the connection between the leading coefficients of Hilbert polynomials for invariant subspaces of the symmetric Fock space and Arveson's curvature invariant for coinvariant subspaces. We are able to obtain some formulas relating the curvature invariant with other invariants. In particular, we prove that Arveson's version of the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern formula is true when the invariant subspaces are generated by any polynomials.  相似文献

We give certain skein relations of the Links-Gould invariant. We also show that the relations lead us to recursive calculation of the invariant for algebraic links. As an application we give a formula for the Links-Gould invariant of 2-bridge links.

In this article we study an integral invariant which obstructs the existence on a compact complex manifold of a volume form with the determinant of its Ricci form proportional to itself, in particular obstructs the existence of a Kähler-Einstein metric, and has been studied since 1980s. We study this invariant from the view point of locally conformally Kähler geometry. We first see that we can define an integral invariant for coverings of compact complex manifolds with automorphic volume forms. This situation typically occurs for locally conformally Kähler manifolds. Secondly, we see that this invariant coincides with the former one. We also show that the invariant vanishes for any compact Vaisman manifold.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic stability and the global asymptotic stability of equilibria of autonomous systems of differential equations. We prove necessary and sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of an equilibrium in terms of invariant compact sets and positively invariant sets. To verify these conditions, we use some results of the localization method for invariant compact sets of autonomous systems. These results are related to finding sets that contain all invariant compact sets of the system (localizing sets) and to the behavior of trajectories of the system with respect to localizing sets. We consider an example of a system whose equilibrium belongs to the critical case.  相似文献

We show that isolated invariant sets of a flow coincide with isolated invariant sets of the time-one-map of the flow. We prove that the cohomological Conley index of an isolated invariant set of a homeomorphism in a compact metric ANR has only finite number of non-zero ingredients and all of them are finite dimensional. Rasmussen introduced a knot invariant based on Khovanov homology theory, and showed that this invariant estimates the four-genus of knots. We consider the Yamabe invariant of a compact orbifold with finitely many singular points. We prove a fundamental inequality for the estimate of the invariant from above, which also includes a criterion for the non-positivity of it. Moreover, we give a sufficient condition for the equality in the inequality. In order to prove it, we also solve the orbifold Yamabe problem under a certain condition. We use these results to give some exact computations of the Yamabe invariant of compact orbifolds.  相似文献

We consider a Banach space valued diffusion process corresponding to a stochastic evolution equation with strongly nonlinear drift. Sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a unique martingale solution and existence of an invariant measure. The resulting diffusion process is shown to be strongly Feller and irreducible. These properties yield uniqueness of invariant measure and ergodicity of the process. We also show that the invariant measure is equivalent to the invariant measure of the diffusion without drift. The main tool to show these results is the Girsanov Transformation.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of forward or backward self-similar systems (iterated function systems) and the topological structure of their invariant sets. We define a new cohomology theory (interaction cohomology) for forward or backward self-similar systems. We show that under certain conditions, the space of connected components of the invariant set is isomorphic to the inverse limit of the spaces of connected components of the realizations of the nerves of finite coverings U of the invariant set, where each U consists of (backward) images of the invariant set under elements of finite word length. We give a criterion for the invariant set to be connected. Moreover, we give a sufficient condition for the first cohomology group to have infinite rank. As an application, we obtain many results on the dynamics of semigroups of polynomials. Moreover, we define postunbranched systems and we investigate the interaction cohomology groups of such systems. Many examples are given.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new numerical invariant complete level for a DG module over a local chain DG algebra and give a characterization of it in terms of ghost length. We consider a numerical method based on the so-called “orthogonality condition” for the approximation and continuation of invariant tori under flows. The basic method was originally introduced by Moore [Computation and parameterization of invariant curves and tori, SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 15 (1991) 245–263], but that work contained no stability or consistency results. We show that the method is unconditionally stable and consistent in the special case of a periodic orbit. However, we also show that the method is unstable for two-dimensional tori in three-dimensional space when the discretization includes even numbers of points in both angular coordinates, and we point out potential difficulties when approximating invariant tori possessing additional invariant sub-manifolds (e.g., periodic orbits). We propose some remedies to these difficulties and give numerical results to highlight that the end method performs well for invariant tori of practical interest.  相似文献

For a faithful linear representation of a finite group G over a field of characteristic p, we study the ring of invariants. We especially study the polynomial and Cohen–Macaulay properties of the invariant ring. We first show that certain quotient rings of the invariant ring are polynomial rings by which we prove that the Hilbert ideal conjecture is true for a class of groups. In particular, we prove that the conjecture is true for vector invariant rings of Abelian reflection p-groups. Then we study the relationships between the invariant ring of G and that of a subgroup of G. Finally, we study the invariant rings of affine groups and show that, over a finite field, if an affine group contains all translations then the invariant ring is isomorphic to the invariant ring of a linear group.  相似文献
