A facile three‐components,one‐pot synthesis of pyrimido[4,5‐d]pyrimidine‐2,5‐dione derivatives under microwave‐assisted conditions

Pyrimido[4,5‐d]pyrimidine‐2,5‐dione derivatives have been synthesized in high yields in a novel, onepot, and efficient process by condensation of 6‐amino‐3‐methyl‐2‐(methylthio)pyrimidin‐4(3H)‐one, aldehydes and urea under microwave‐assisted conditions.     

Microwave‐assisted Synthesis,Structure, and Tunable Liquid‐Crystal Properties of 2,5‐Diaryl‐1,3,4‐Thiadiazole Derivatives through Peripheral n‐Alkoxy Chains

Chain change : Variations in the position, number, and chain length of the n‐alkoxy chains readily tune the liquid‐crystalline properties of 2,5‐diaryl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole derivatives from smectic to hexagonal columnar mesophases at room temperature. The calamitic S‐heterocyclic compounds show electrical conductivity in both solid and liquid‐crystal states.

     

Copolymerization of 2‐Acrylamido‐2‐methyl‐1‐propanesulfonic Acid and 1‐Vinylimidazole in Inverse Miniemulsion

The copolymerization behavior of the acidic monomer 2‐acrylamido‐2‐methyl‐1‐propanesulfonic acid (APSA) and 1‐vinylimidazole in inverse miniemulsion was studied under various conditions. Initially, different surfactants and surfactant concentrations were investigated. After determining a suitable composition of the miniemulsion, changes in the reaction behavior under different pH values and monomer feed compositions were studied. The highest polymerization rates could be produced under neutral conditions over all monomer feed ratios. The addition of acid or base to change the pH value of the monomer mixture also has influence on the polymers obtained. The thermal stability, rheological stiffness and intrinsic viscosity increase when Na‐APSA is incorporated.

     

Synthesis of some novel 2,6‐disubstituted pyridazin‐3‐ones as TMC120 analogues

Different analogues of TMC120 derived from pyridazin‐3(2H)‐one rings were synthesized by coupling of 3,6‐dichloropyridazine with arylacetonitriles, phenols and/or aniline derivative followed by hydrolysis and alkylation with different benzyl bromide derivatives.     

An interesting cyclization of N‐methyl‐3‐phenyl‐N‐(2‐(Z)‐phenylethenyl)‐cis‐oxiranecarboxamide

Under Lewis acid condition, N‐methyl‐3‐phenyl‐N‐(2‐(Z)‐phenylethenyl)‐cis‐oxiranecarboxamide undergoes elegant double cyclizations to give interesting products.     

Synthesis and characterization of some novel 2‐{2‐[1‐(3‐substituted‐phenyl)‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl‐] ethyl}‐1‐substituted‐1H‐benzo [d] imidazole derivatives

Synthesis of some novel 2‐{2‐[1‐(3‐substitutedphenyl)‐1H‐1,2, 3‐triazol‐4‐yl‐]ethyl)‐1H‐benzo[d]‐imidazole derivatives, by the condensation of o‐phenylenediamine with 3‐(1‐(3‐substituted‐phenyl)‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl) propanoic acid and then subsequent reactions with different substituted alkyl halides as electrophiles are mentioned. The synthesized compounds were characterized by ¹H NMR, EI‐MS and IR spectroscopic techniques.
