Summary By introduction of a special dependent variable and separation of variables technique, the electroelastic dynamic problem of a nonhomogeneous, spherically isotropic hollow sphere is transformed to a Volterra integral equation of the second kind about a function of time. The equation can be solved by means of the interpolation method, and the solutions for displacements, stresses, electric displacements and electric potential are obtained. The present method is suitable for a piezoelectric hollow sphere with an arbitrary thickness subjected to arbitrary mechanical and electrical loads. Numerical results are presented at the end.The work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 10172075 and No. 10002016).  相似文献

This paper presents two exact explicit solutions for the three dimensional dual-phase lag (DLP) heat conduction equation, during the derivation of which the method of trial and error and the authors' previous experiences are utilized. To the authors' knowledge, most solutions of 2D or 3D DPL models available in the literature are obtained by numerical methods, and there are few exact solutions up to now. The exact solutions in this paper can be used as benchmarks to validate numerical solutions and to develop numerical schemes, grid generation methods and so forth. In addition, they are of theoretical significance since they correspond to physically possible situations. The main goal of this paper is to obtain some possible exact explicit solutions of the dual-phase lag heat conduction equation as the benchmark solutions for computational heat transfer, rather than specific solutions for some given initial and boundary conditions. Therefore, the initial and boundary conditions are indeterminate before derivation and can be deduced from the solutions afterwards. Actually, all solutions given in this paper can be easily proven by substituting them into the governing equation.  相似文献

By introducing a dependent variable and a special function satisfying the inhomogeneous mechanical boundary conditions, the governing equation for a new variable with homogeneous mechanical boundary conditions is derived. Then by means of the separation of variables technique and the electric and magnetic boundary conditions, the dynamic problem of a magneto-electro-elastic hollow sphere under spherically symmetric deformation is transformed to two Volterra integral equations of the second kind about two functions of time. Cubic Hermite polynomials are adopted to approximate the two undetermined functions at each time subinterval and the recursive formula is obtained to solve the integral equations successfully. The transient responses of displacements, stresses, electric and magnetic potentials are completely determined at the end. Numerical results are presented.  相似文献

On the free vibrations of a piezoceramic hollow sphere   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The aim of the paper is to analyze the free vibrations of a piezoceramic hollow sphere with radial polarization. Using the cnoidal method and a genetic algorithm solves the equations of a radially inhomogeneous spherically isotropic piezoelastic medium. The Reddy and the cosine laws represent the functionally graded property of material. It is seen that for a piezoceramic hollow sphere, the piezoelectric effect consists in increasing the values for the natural frequencies in the specified classes of vibrations.  相似文献

Summary  The spherically symmetric dynamic thermoelastic problem for a special nonhomogeneous transversely isotropic elastic hollow sphere is formulated by introduction of a dependent variable and separation of variables technique. The derived solution can be degenerated into that for a homogeneous transversely isotropic hollow sphere, a nonhomogeneous isotropic hollow sphere or a solid sphere. The present method, allow to avoid integral transforms, is suited for a hollow sphere of arbitrary thickness subjected to arbitrary spherical symmetric thermal and mechanical loads, and is convenient in dealing with different boundary conditions of dynamic thermoelasticity . The numerical calculation involved is easy to be performed and its results are also presented. In the present paper, the analytical solution for a radially piezoelectric functionally graded rotating hollow shaft is presented. The variation of material properties is assumed to follow a power law along the radial direction of the shaft. Two resulting fully coupled differential equations in terms of the displacement and electric potential are solved directly. Numerical results for different shaft geometries with different profiles of inhomogeneity are also graphically displayed.  相似文献

The effect of magnetic field on the plane vibrations for an elastodynamic orthotropic sphere is studied. Equations of elastodynamic problems of the orthotropic hollow sphere in terms of displacement are solved. The numerical results of the frequency equations in the presence of magnetic field are discussed and shown graphically. Compar-isons are made with the result in the presence and absence of magnetic field in the case of orthotropic sphere. The results show that the effect of magnetic field is very pronounced.  相似文献

The dynamic solution of a multilayered spherically isotropic piezoelectric hollow sphere subjected to radial dynamic loads is obtained. By the method of superposition, the solution is divided into two parts: one is quasi-static and the other is dynamic. The quasi-static part is derived by the state-space method, and the dynamic part is obtained by the method of separation of variables coupled with the initial parameter method as well as the orthogonal expansion technique. By using the quasi-static and dynamic parts, the electric boundary conditions as well as the electric continuity conditions, a Volterra integral equation of the second kind with respect to a function of time is derived, which can be solved successfully by means of the interpolation method. The displacements, stresses and electric potentials are finally obtained. The present method is suitable for a multilayered spherically isotropic piezoelectric hollow sphere consisting of arbitrary layers and subjected to arbitrary spherically symmetric dynamic loads. Finally, numerical results are presented and discussed.  相似文献

This paper presents a solution of the problem of unsteady heat transfer in a three-layer hollow sphere in a central-symmetric formulation with various time-dependent boundary conditions on the inner and outer surfaces. In each layer of the sphere there is heat release of known intensity which depends on the radial coordinate and time. The solution is obtained by a finite integral transform on the radial coordinate. A numerical solution is presented for one version of the boundary conditions. __________ Translated from Prikladnaya Mekhanika i Tekhnicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 50, No. 1, pp. 78–84, January–February, 2009.  相似文献

In this paper, the non-Fourier heat conduction in a solid sphere under arbitrary surface thermal disturbances is solved analytically. Four cases including sudden, simple harmonic periodic, triangular and pulse surface temperature changes are investigated step-by-step. The analytical solutions are obtained using the separation of variables method and Duhamel’s principle along with the Fourier series representation of an arbitrary periodic function and the Fourier integral representation of an arbitrary non-periodic function. Using these analytical solutions, the temperature profiles of the solid sphere are analyzed, and the differences in the temperature response between the “hyperbolic” and “parabolic” are discussed. These solutions can be applicable to all kinds of non-Fourier heat conduction analyses for arbitrary boundary conditions occurred in technology. And as application examples, particular attention is devoted to the cases of triangular surface temperature change and pulse surface temperature change. The examples presented in this paper can be used as benchmark problems for future numerical method validations.  相似文献

We have measured by means of four ultrasonic transducers the fall velocity of a sphere at high Reynolds number range in dilute polyacrylamide solutions which have viscoelastic effects. The polymer solutions were 5, 20 and 50ppm in the concentration. Basset-Bousinessq-Oseen equation for the falling sphere was analyzed numerically on Newtonian fluids in order to compare with the fall velocity of a sphere in the polymer solutions, and the experimental data of the fall velocity in tap water is in agreement with the range of no effect of the test tank wall. In polymer solutions, it was shown that the fall velocity is larger than that in Newtonian fluids within the critical Reynolds number range such that the drag reduction occurs and is smaller than that of Newtonian fluids over the range. The experimental data for the drag reduction ratio of polymer solutions is arranged by Weissenberg number calculating the experimental data of the first normal stress differences. It was shown that the maximum drag reduction ratio in the polymer solutions lies in the range of We=3∼10. Received: 15 October 1997 Accepted: 12 May 1998  相似文献

This paper exactly analyzes the problem of a rigid sphere indenting a transversely isotropic piezoelectric half-space. The potential theory method is employed and generalized to include the piezoelectric effect. By using the previous results of elasticity, an exact solution is derived. It is found that all the elastoelectric variables can be expressed in terms of elementary functions. Summary The aim of this paper is (1) to develop a rational method for the analysis of an arbitrarily laminated elastic, isotropic or transversely isotropic hollow sphere under internal and/or external pressure, (2) to solve the problem of a periodically layered sphere consisting of many equal groups of n different thin layers. The transfer matrix method is used, and exact closed-form solutions are worked out, supplemented by a numerical example. It turns out that by means of the proposed homogenization an originally (periodically) inhomogeneous isotropic sphere is replaced by a homogeneous anisotropic one belonging to the type of spherical symmetric anisotropy. This paper addresses the dynamic performances of partially bonded or unbonded metallic hollow sphere structure (MHSS). Under the condition that the densities of MHSS are the same, three morphologies, that is, simple cubic (SC), body-centered cubic (BCC) and face-centered cubic (FCC) are investigated to see the topological effect of lattice structure on the dynamic performance of MHS agglomerates.  相似文献

In this article, a closed-form solution for one-dimensional magnetothermoelastic problem in a functionally graded material (FGM) hollow sphere placed in uniform magnetic and temperature fields subjected to an internal pressure is obtained using the infinitesimal theory of magnetothermoelasticity. Hyper-geometric functions are employed to solve the governing equation. The material properties through the graded direction are assumed to be nonlinear with an exponential distribution. The nonhomogeneity of the material in the radial direction is assumed to be exponential. The temperature, displacement and stress fields and the perturbation of magnetic field vector are determined and compared with those of the homogeneous case. Hence, the effect of inhomogeneity on the stresses and the perturbation of magnetic field vector distribution are demonstrated. The results of this study are applicable for designing optimum FGM hollow spheres.  相似文献

Analytical solution of the non-Fourier Axisymmetric temperature field within a finite hollow cylinder is investigated considering the Cattaneo-Vernotte constitutive heat flux relation. The solution is found for the most general linear time-independent boundary conditions. The material is assumed to be homogeneous and isotropic with temperature-independent thermal properties. The standard method of separation of variables is used. The present solution can be reduced to special problems of interest by choosing appropriate boundary condition parameters. The solution is applied for two special cases including constant heat flux and the Gaussian distribution heating of a cylinder, and their respective non-Fourier thermal behavior is studied.  相似文献
