We investigate the compatibility of \(I_0\) with various combinatorial principles at \(\lambda ^+\), which include the existence of \(\lambda ^+\)-Aronszajn trees, square principles at \(\lambda \), the existence of good scales at \(\lambda \), stationary reflections for subsets of \(\lambda ^{+}\), diamond principles at \(\lambda \) and the singular cardinal hypothesis at \(\lambda \). We call a subgroup H of a finite group G c-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G = HK and H ∩ K ≤ core(H). In this paper it is proved that a finite group G is p-nilpotent if G is S4-free and every minimal subgroup of P n GN is c-supplemented in NG(P), and when p = 2 P is quaternion-free, where p is the smallest prime number dividing the order of G, P a Sylow p-subgroup of G. As some applications of this result, some known results are generalized.  相似文献

We study the q-bracket operator of Bloch and Okounkov, recently examined by Zagier and other authors, when applied to functions defined by two classes of sums over the parts of an integer partition. We derive convolution identities for these functions and link both classes of q-brackets through divisor sums. As a result, we generalize Euler’s classic convolution identity for the partition function and obtain an analogous identity for the totient function. As corollaries, we generalize Stanley’s Theorem on the number of ones in all partitions of n, and provide several new combinatorial results.  相似文献

The Segal-Shale-Weil representation associates to a symplectic transformation of the Heisenberg group an intertwining operator, called metaplectic operator. We develop an explicit construction of metaplectic operators for the Heisenberg group H(G) of a finite abelian group G, an important setting in finite time-frequency analysis. In this paper, we are concerned with general fractional differential equations of order \(\alpha \in (1,2)\) and type \(\beta \in [0,1]\) in Banach spaces. We define and develop a theory of general fractional sine functions and show that they are essentiality equivalent to a general fractional resolvent. We use such theory to study the well-posedness of the above general fractional differential equations. An illustration example is presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the lattice Constructions D, \(D'\) and \(\overline{D}\) (this latter is also known as Forney’s code formula) from codes over \(\mathbb {F}_p\) to linear codes over \(\mathbb {Z}_q\), where \(q \in \mathbb {N}\). We define an operation in \(\mathbb {Z}_q^n\) called zero-one addition, which coincides with the Schur product when restricted to \(\mathbb {Z}_2^n\) and show that the extended Construction \(\overline{D}\) produces a lattice if and only if the nested codes are closed under this addition. A generalization to the real case of the recently developed Construction \(A'\) is also derived and we show that this construction produces a lattice if and only if the corresponding code over \(\mathbb {Z}_q[X]/X^a\) is closed under a shifted zero-one addition. One of the motivations for this work is the recent use of q-ary lattices in cryptography.  相似文献

Let \(T_n(\mathbb {F})\) and \(UT_n(\mathbb {F})\) be the semigroups of all upper triangular \(n\times n\) matrices and all upper triangular \(n\times n\) matrices with 0s and/or 1s on the main diagonal over a field \(\mathbb {F}\) with \(\mathsf {char}(\mathbb {F})=0\), respectively. In this paper, we address the finite basis problem for \(T_2(\mathbb {F})\) and \(UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) as involution semigroups under the skew transposition. By giving a sufficient condition under which an involution semigroup is nonfinitely based, we show that both \(T_2(\mathbb {F})\) and \(UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) are nonfinitely based, and that there is a continuum of nonfinitely based involution monoid varieties between the involution monoid variety \(\mathsf {var} UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) generated by \(UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) and the involution monoid variety \(\mathsf {var} T_2(\mathbb {F})\) generated by \(T_2(\mathbb {F})\). Moreover, \(\mathsf {var} UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) cannot be defined within \(\mathsf {var} T_2(\mathbb {F})\) by any finite set of identities.  相似文献

We prove that if GG is a finite simple group which is the unit group of a ring, then GG is isomorphic to: (a) a cyclic group of order 2; or (b) a cyclic group of prime order 2k−12k1 for some kk; or (c) a projective special linear group PSLn(F2)PSLn(F2) for some n≥3n3. Moreover, these groups do all occur as unit groups. We deduce this classification from a more general result, which holds for groups GG with no non-trivial normal 2-subgroup.  相似文献

We find several new congruences for \(\ell \)-regular partitions for \(\ell \in \{5,6,7,49\}\) and also find alternative proofs of the congruences for 10- and 20-regular partitions which were proved earlier by Carlson and Webb (Ramanujan J 33:329–337, 2014) by using the theory of modular forms. We use certain p-dissections of \((q;q)_{\infty }\), \(\psi (q)\), \((q;q)_{\infty }^3\) and \(\psi (q^2)(q;q)_{\infty }^2\).  相似文献

In papers by Yor, a remarkable class \(({\varSigma })\) of submartingales is introduced, which, up to technicalities, are submartingales \((X_{t})_{t\ge 0}\) whose increasing process is carried by the times t such that \(X_{t}=0\). These submartingales have several applications in stochastic analysis: for example, the resolution of Skorokhod embedding problem, the study of Brownian local times and the study of zeros of continuous martingales. The submartingales of class \(({\varSigma })\) have been extensively studied in a series of articles by Nikeghbali (part of them in collaboration with Najnudel, some others with Cheridito and Platen). On the other hand, stochastic calculus has been extended to signed measures by Ruiz de Chavez (Le théorème de Paul Lévy pour des mesures signées. Séminaire de probabilités (Strasbourg). Springer, Berlin, 1984) and Beghdadi-Sakrani (Calcul stochastique pour les mesures signées. Séminaire de probabilités (Strasbourg). Springer, Berlin, 2003). In Eyi Obiang et al. (Stochastics 86(1):70–86, 2014), the authors of the present paper have extended the notion of submartingales of class \(({\varSigma })\) to the setting of Ruiz de Chavez (1984) and Beghdadi-Sakrani (2003), giving two different classes of stochastic processes named classes \(\sum (H)\) and \(\sum _\mathrm{s}(H)\) where from tools of the theory of stochastic calculus for signed measures, the authors provide general frameworks and methods for dealing with processes of these classes. In this work, we first give some formulas of multiplicative decomposition for processes of these classes. Afterward, we shall establish some representation results allowing to recover any process of one of these classes from its final value and the last time it visited the origin.  相似文献

In this paper we study the approximation of stable linear time-invariant systems for the Paley–Wiener space \(\mathcal {PW}_{\pi }^2\), i.e., the set of bandlimited functions with finite \(L^2\)-norm, by convolution sums. It is possible to use either, the convolution sum where the time variable is in the argument of the bandlimited impulse response, or the convolution sum where the time variable is in the argument of the function, as an approximation process. In addition to the pointwise and uniform convergence behavior, the convergence behavior in the norm of the considered function space, i.e. the \(L^2\)-norm in our case, is important. While it is well-known that both convolution sums converge uniformly on the whole real axis, the \(L^2\)-norm of the second convolution sum can be divergent for certain functions and systems. We show that the there exist an infinite dimensional closed subspace of functions and an infinite dimensional closed subspace of systems, such that for any pair of function and system from these two sets, we have norm divergence.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group, E a normal subgroup of G and p a fixed prime. We say that E is p-hypercyclically embedded in G if every p-G-chief factor of E is cyclic. A subgroup H of G is said to satisfy Π-property in G if |GK:NGK((HL)KK)| is a π((HL)KK)-number for any chief factor LK in G; we say that H has Π*-property in G if HOπ(H)(G) has Π-property in G. In this paper, we prove that E is p-hypercyclically embedded in G if and only if some classes of p-subgroups of E have Π*-property in G. Some recent results are extended.  相似文献
