Ab initio calculation of the total cross section for the reactions 4He(γ, p)3H and 4He(γ, n)3He is presented, using state-of-the-art nuclear forces. The Lorentz integral transform (LIT) method is applied, which allows exact treatment of the final state interaction (FSI). The dynamic equations are solved using the effective interaction hyperspherical harmonics method. In this calculation of the cross sections the three-nucleon force is fully taken into account, except in the source term of the LIT equation for the FSI transition matrix element.  相似文献

Levels of138Ce and140Nd have been studied using the138Ba(α,4)138Ce and140Ce(α, 4)140Nd reactions. Singleγ-ray spectra,γ-γ coincidence spectra, angular and time distributions with respect to the beam bursts have been measured. A number of higher excited states with excitation energies up to about 5 MeV and with spin value up to 12 are populated in both nuclei. The lower states with spins and parities 7?, 5?, 6? and 10+ can be explained by two-quasiparticle neutron configurations of the types (h 11/2 ?1 ,d 3/2 ?1 ) 7? , (h 11/2 ?1 ,S 1/2 ?1 ) 5?, 6? and (h 11/2 ?2 ) 10+. Several high-spin states observed in138Ce and140Nd can be explained qualitatively as four-quasiparticle states with two-proton-two-neutron configurations. The 3? state at an energy of 2,137.4 keV is observed in138Ce. The evidence for the existence of the low-lying 3? states in140Nd at 2,124.0 keV is discussed. Beside the known 9.6 ms (7?) isomeric state in138Ce another state at 3,538.5keV (10+) with a half life of about 200 ns has been observed. The observed levels in the138Ce and140Nd nuclei are compared with theoretical predictions using delta force interaction.  相似文献

Levels in 125Te were investigated in the range up to 3.3 MeV excitation energy by the (n,γ), (d,p) and (3He,α) reactions. Over 160 levels and about 360 γ-transitions were established, most for the first time. The states below 2.3 MeV with the most complete spectroscopic information were interpreted in terms of the interacting boson-fermion model (IBFM). Unitary treatment of both positive- and negative-parity states is achieved with the same model parameter close to the intermediate case between O(6) and U(5) limits. Excitation energies, electromagnetic transition rates, γ-branchings and spectroscopic factors are discussed in connection with the possible structures. A family of low-spin negative-parity states has been identified and understood by the IBFM proving their antialigned origin.  相似文献

Systematic discrepancies between the results of various experiments devoted to determining cross sections for total and partial photoneutron reactions are analyzed by using objective criteria of reliability of data in terms of the transitional photoneutron-multiplicity function F i = σ(γ, in)/σ(γ, xn), whose values for i = 1, 2, 3, ... cannot exceed by definition 1.00, 0.50, 0.33, ..., respectively. It was found that the majority of experimental data on the cross sections obtained for (γ, n), (γ, 2n), and (γ, 3n) reactions with the aid of methods of photoneutron multiplicity sorting do not meet objective criteria (in particular, F 2 > 0.50 for a vast body of data). New data on the cross sections for partial reactions on 181Ta and 208Pb nuclei were obtained within a new experimental-theoretical method that was proposed for the evaluation of cross sections for partial reactions and in which the experimental neutron yield cross section σ expt(γ, xn) = σ(γ, n) + 2σ(γ, 2n) + 3σ(γ, 3n) + ..., which is free from problems associated with determining neutron multiplicities, is used simultaneously with the functions F i theor calculated within a combined model of photonuclear reactions.  相似文献

The radiative capture cross sections for 3He(α, γ)7Be and 3He(α, γ)7Li at astrophysical energies have been studied microscopically in terms of the resonating group method. It was found that the astrophysical S-factors correlate strongly to the nuclear size and deformation of 7Be and 7Li. With the help of measured nuclear properties of these nuclei, a safety range of the absolute values of the S-factor was determined; the most recommended S(0)-values are 0.50 ± 0.03 keV · b for the 3He(α, γ)7Be reaction and 0.098 ± 0.006 keV · b for the 3H(α, γ)7Li reaction.  相似文献

 The 3He(4He, γ)7Be and 3H(4He, γ)7Li reactions are studied in an extended two-cluster model which contains α + h/t and 6Li + p/n clusterizations. We show that the inclusion of the 6Li + p/n channels can significantly change the zero-energy reaction cross sections, S(0), and other properties of the 7Be and 7Li nuclei, like the quadrupole moments Q. However, the results agree with the known correlation trend between S(0) and Q. Moreover, we demonstrate that the value of the zero-energy derivatives of the astrophysical S-factors are more uncertain than currently believed. The ratios of the cross sections for the formation of the ground and isomeric states in reactions on107Ag,109Ag, and113In are calculated based on the assumption that at low energies the (, n) reaction proceeds via a) formation of the compound nucleus, b) evaporation of a neutron, and c) cascade -transitions. The number of cascade -quanta and the distribution of the excitation energy between the -quanta and the neutron is not postulated beforehand (as is usually done), but is calculated based on the statistical theory. By comparing with experiment, the parameter of the spin-dependence of the density of nuclear states is found. It is shown that the average number of -quanta in the cascade increases approximately linearly with the energy of the particles. The energy spectrum of the -quanta in the (, n) reaction is calculated. The (2)H(d,p)(3)H, (2)H(d,n)(3)He, and (2)H(d,γ)(4)He reactions are studied at low energies in a multichannel ab initio model that takes into account the distortions of the nuclei. The internal wave functions of these nuclei are given by the stochastic variational method with the AV8' realistic interaction and a phenomenological three-body force included to reproduce the two-body thresholds. The obtained astrophysical S factors are all in very good agreement with the experiment. The most important channels for both transfer and radiative capture are identified by comparing to calculations with an effective central force. They are all found to dominate thanks to the tensor force.  相似文献

The possibility of separating, with the aid of photoemulsion, channels of the reaction 12C(γ, n 3He)2α that involve the formation of 7Be and 8Be intermediate nuclei in excited states is studied. Gamma-radiation from the reactions of 28 MeV and 26 MeV3He-ions on the209Bi target has been studied by means of Ge(Li) detectors. Individual observed prompt -ray transitions have been assigned to the corresponding reactions. The results of previous studies of the209At nucleus have been verified and completed. Two new levels at energies of 640 keV and 1270·5 keV have been introduced. Additionally, 15 new transitions have been observed which could belong to209At. The induced-activity method was used to measure the isomeric ratio of the yields of the (γ, n), (n, 2n), and (γ, 2n) reactions on the 113In nucleus. The energy dependence of the isomeric ratios of the yields of the photonuclear reactions 113In(γ, n)112m,g In and 113In(γ, 2n)111m,g In is studied in the energy range of 12–35 MeV.  相似文献

We report the measurements of the analyzing power A y (θ) of n-3He elastic scattering with unprecedented accuracy and angular coverage at five incident neutron energies between 1.60 and 5.54 MeV. To this end, we employed the polarization-transfer reactions 3H(p, n)3He and 2H(d, n)3He at 0° for neutron generation and a recently developed high-pressure 3He gas scintillator as an active target, enabling neutron-time-of-flight and 3He recoil-energy determinations. We obtained simultaneously the neutron polarization with a 4He-based polarimeter, capitalizing on the well-known n-4He A y (θ). Our n-3He A y (θ) data are compared to rigorous four-nucleon calculations using high-precision nucleon–nucleon potential models. The agreement between data and calculations is fair at the lower energies and becomes less satisfactory with increasing neutron energy. However, in comparison to the pure isotriplet p-3He system in the same energy region, the agreement between measured and calculated A y is much better for the mixed (isotriplet and isosinglet) n-3He system, indicating large and somewhat counterintuitive isospin effects. We note that the incorporation of a Δ-mediated three-nucleon force in calculations of n-3He scattering was found to affect A y (θ) negligibly, suggesting the need for the reconsideration of fundamental interactions in resolving the four-nucleon analyzing power puzzle first established about a decade ago in p-3He scattering.  相似文献

This paper reports on measurements of the 3He(e,epp) reaction measured at AmPS and the 3He(e,epn) reaction measured at MAMI. The measurements were performed in similar kinematics to allow a comparison to be made between the cross sections of the two reactions. Results are shown for both reactions together with a comparison for the 3He(e,epp) data with continuum Faddeev calculations.  相似文献

The nuclear levels in 174Lu were investigated by means of 176Yb(p, 3nγ) reaction spectroscopy. Standard germanium detector techniques as well as an on-line curved crystal spectrometer were used. Six well-developed rotational bands are observed. These results confirm and extend the scheme previously obtained by direct reactions. The presented data document a study on the anomalous g-factors of the 142 d isomeric band.  相似文献

The formalism of ( γ, NN) reactions is given where the incident photon is polarized and the outgoing-nucleon polarization is detected. Sixteen structure functions and fifteen polarization observables are found in the general case, while only eight structure functions and seven polarization observables survive in coplanar kinematics. Numerical examples are presented for the 16O(γ, np) and 16O(γ, pp) reactions. The transitions to the ground state of 14C and 14N are calculated in a model where realistic short-range and tensor correlations are taken into account for the np pair, while short-range and long-range correlations are included in a consistent way for pp pairs. The effects of the one-body and two-body components of the nuclear current and the role of correlations in cross-sections and polarizations are studied and discussed. The T-odd correlation (k α · [σ × k γ])(k α · k γ), where σ is the vector of the neutron polarization and the symbols k denote the respective linear momenta (all vectors are unit ones), in the sequential alpha-gamma cascade induced by a thermal-neutron capture is studied. The study is performed in the one-resonance approximation. Both the final-state interaction of the alpha particle with the residual nucleus and the actual T-noninvariant phase shift are considered as possible origins of the correlation. The problem of suitable target isotopes is analyzed. Related correlations in other neutron- and proton-induced reactions are discussed.  相似文献
