We consider the efficiency of trapping of short plasma waves excited by a high-power radio wave inside the magnetic field-aligned
small-scale cylindrical irregularities with low density. It is shown that in the case of cylindrical irregularities the reflection
of a plasma wave from the points of its transformation into cold plasma oscillations is sufficiently large. Therefore, this
process must be taken into account in the calculation of heating of irregularities in the field of a high-power radio wave.

An exact solution is obtained for the relativistic collisionless kinetic equations describing a test plasma in the field of a strong plane gravitational wave. The gravitational wave induces in the plasma a longitudinal electric current whose amplitude is maximum at temperatures Te ip mec2. We consider the problem of relating the local structure of small-scale ionospheric turbulence to the measured frequency-spectrum
indices and fractal dimensions of amplitude records of the signals received on the Earth during remote sensing of the ionosphere
onboard the satellites. It is shown that knowledge of these parameters permits one to determine the true values of the local-spectrum
indices of the electron-density fluctuations for isotropic small-scale turbulence of the ionosphere both under natural conditions
and during its modification by high-power short-wave radiation as well as to specify fractal dimensions of space filled by
small-scale irregularities of the turbulent structures in the ionosphere. We show the necessity of detailed experimental studies
of the fractal properties of small-scale ionospheric irregularities of both natural and artificial origin by using a multifractal
analysis in combination with the synchronous correlation processing of received signals during remote sensing of the ionosphere.
This will give important information on the local structure of small-scale ionospheric turbulence inaccessible for studies
within the framework of the classical method of radio scintillation.

Resonant interaction of a soliton (Josephson fluxon) with its self-generated Josephson plasma waves is studied experimentally, numerically, and analytically. An externally applied magnetic field H forms a cos-like potential relief for the soliton in the annular junction. Soliton motion under the influence of the bias current leads to an emission of plasma waves, which gives rise to a resonance at a certain soliton velocity. This resonance on the current–voltage characteristics shows a clear backbending accompanied by a negative differential resistance. Our analysis quantitatively explains the observed effect. 相似文献
