Polymers of 1,4-bis[2-(N-vinyl)pyrrolyl]benzene with free N-vinyl groups in side chains are synthesized in the presence of AIBN (2–5 wt %, 70°C) with a yield of up to 34% and a molecular mass of up to 11.5 × 103. In the presence of cationic catalysts (Me3SiCl, the LiBF4-dimethoxyethane system, and BF3 · OEt2), 1,4-bis[2-(N-vinyl)pyrrolyl]benzene gives macromolecules with alternating 1,2-pyrrolene and ethylidene units in the backbone with yields of 80, 44, and 33%, respectively. The polymers demonstrate paramagnetic and luminescent properties.  相似文献

The hydrothermal chemistry of a variety of M(II)SO(4) salts with the tetrazole (Ht) ligands 5,5'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(1H-tetrazole) (H(2)bdt), 5',5'-(1,1'-biphenyl)4,4'-diylbis(1H-tetrazole) (H(2)dbdt) and 5,5',5'-(1,3,5-phenylene)tris(1H-tetrazole) (H(3)btt) was investigated. In the case of Co(II), three phases were isolated, two of which incorporated sulfate: [Co(5)F(2)(dbdt)(4)(H(2)O)(6)]·2H(2)O (1·2H(2)O), [Co(4)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(bdt)(2)(H(2)O)(4)] (2) and [Co(3)(OH)(SO(4))(btt)(H(2)O)(4)]·3H(2)O (3·3H(2)O). The structures are three-dimensional and consist of cluster-based secondary building units: the pentanuclear {Co(5)F(2)(tetrazolate)(8)(H(2)O)(6)}, the tetranuclear {Co(4)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(2)(tetrazolate)(6)}(4-), and the trinuclear {Co(3)(μ(3)-OH)(SO(4))(2) (tetrazolate)(3)}(2-) for 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The Ni(II) analogue [Ni(2)(H(0.67)bdt)(3)]·10.5H(2)O (4·10.5H(2)O) is isomorphous with a fourth cobalt phase, the previously reported [Co(2)(H(0.67)bat)(3)]·20H(2)O and exhibits a {M(tetrazolate)(3/2)}(∞) chain as the fundamental building block. The dense three-dimensional structure of [Zn(bdt)] (5) consists of {ZnN(4)}tetrahedra linked through bdt ligands bonding through N1,N3 donors at either tetrazolate terminus. In contrast to the hydrothermal synthesis of 1-5, the Cd(II) material (Me(2)NH(2))(3)[Cd(12)Cl(3)(btt)(8)(DMF)(12)]·xDMF·yMeOH (DMF = dimethylformamide; x = ca. 12, y = ca. 5) was prepared in DMF/methanol. The structure is constructed from the linking of {Cd(4)Cl(tetrazolate)(8)(DMF)(4)}(1-) secondary building units to produce an open-framework material exhibiting 66.5% void volume. The magnetic properties of the Co(II) series are reflective of the structural building units.  相似文献

In the reaction of 1,4-bis(1-vinyl-2-pyrrolyl)benzene with hydrogen chloride and hydrogen bromide the hydrogen halide adds at the vinyl groups, and -protonation takes place in both pyrrole rings. Silicon inserted n conjugated copolymer was synthesized by Heck reaction with moderate molecular weight. This silicon containing copolymer is thermally stable to 400℃, while emission of this polymer is blue-shifted compared with polyphenylenevinylene greenish emission. The synthesis of a highly soluble, 2,5-disubstituted poly(p-phenylene vinylene) with pendant side chains containing ether groups was accomplished by a dehydrochlorination route. Specific interactions of the oxygen-containing side chains with the solvent are presumably responsible for the high solubility of the polymer, especially in protogenic solvents. The polymer microstructure was characterized by 1H- and 13C-NMR. The polymer showed solvatochromic properties when dissolved in a variety of solvents. The relatively high molecular weight (Mn = 17,000) permitted the fabrication of free-standing films. The electrical conductivity of iodine-doped films was approximately 2 × 10–2 S cm–1. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

This article describes the synthesis and the cation-radical polymerization (Scholl reaction) of 1,3-bis[4-(1-naphthoxy) benzoyl] benzene ( 6 ) and 1,4-bis[4-(1-naphthoxy) benzoyl]- benzene ( 7 ) initiated by FeCI3. This polymerization produced poly(ether ether ketone ketone)s (PEEKK) of number average molecular weight (M?n) up to 5400 g/mol. The synthesis of bis[4-(1-naphthoxy) phenyl] methane ( 8 ), 1,3-bis[4-(1-napthoxy) phenylmethyl] benzene ( 9 ), and 1,4-bis[4-(1-naphthoxy) phenylmethyl] benzene ( 10 ) are also described. Polyethers of M?n up to 15400 g/mol at a FeCl3/monomer molar ratio of 2/1 were obtained. An increased polymerizability of the monomers 9 and 10 containing two CH2 groups versus that of the corresponding monomers containing two carbonyl groups ( 6 and 7 ) was observed. This enhanced polymerizability was explained based on the increased nucleophilicity of monomers 9 and 10 .  相似文献

The structural characterisation of the molecule 1,4-bis[2-cyano-2-(o-pyridyl)ethenyl] benzene obtained through Knoevenagel condensation is reported. The single crystals, as light brown rods, were cultured from a chloroform solution using a slow evaporation method at ambient temperature. The compound crystallised in the monoclinic system belonging to the C2/c space group with a = 26.4556(9) Å, b = 3.73562(10) Å, c = 18.4230(6) Å, β = 109.841(4)° and the asymmetric unit comprising Z = 4. The structure is ordered and the molecules of the title compound exhibited a lattice with water molecules located at sites of inversion and two-fold axial symmetries. Thus, only halves of the molecules are symmetrically independent. The lattice is reported and contrasted with X-ray single-crystal diffraction and theoretical calculations of 1,4-bis(1-cyano-2-phenylethenyl)benzene. By using density functional theory (DFT) and second order Moller-Plesset (MP2) theoretical calculations, the ground state geometry in the whole molecule at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p), and MP2/6-31+G(d,p) theory levels, respectively, were optimised. The DFT calculations showed a quasi-planar structure of the molecule, whereas the wave function-based MP2 method afforded a non-planar optimised structure with significant torsion angles between the pyridine and phenyl rings.  相似文献

Alkylation of 1,4-bis[2-(pyridin-4-yl)ethenyl]benzene with alkyl p-toluenesulfonates and dimethyl sulfate gave new viologen analogs, 1-alkyl-4-(2-{4-[2-(1-alkylpyridinium-4-yl)ethenyl]phenyl}ethenyl)-pyridinium bis(p-toluenesulfonates) and sulfate. Their derivatives with tetrafluoroborate and tetraphenylborate ions were also obtained. Spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were examined, and their structure was determined by X-ray analysis.  相似文献

The configurational isomers of 2,5-dimethoxy-1,4-bis-[2-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethenyl]benzene have been investigated by ab initio (4-21G level) and MOPAC-AM1 semiempirical methods. The calculations were guided by and compared with single crystal X-ray results of the trans,trans-isomer determined at 298 K and 103 K. The barriers of rotation of the latter isomer in the free and the solid state were enumerated. A comparison with related molecules, in particular 1,4-bis[2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)ethenyl]benzene, is made.
