The review summarizes published data on the synthesis and reactivity of new functionally substituted sulfonium salts: dimethyl(trifluoromethylsulfonyloxy)sulfonium trifluoromethanesulfonate, dimethyl(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)sulfonium trifluoromethanesulfonate, various disulfonium dications, dimethyl sulfidesulfur trioxide complex, acyl(dimethyl)sulfonium salts, dimethyl(trifluoroacetyl)sulfonium salts, and boron trifluoride complexes with alkylthio-substituted acyl fluorides as intramolecular analogs of acylsulfonium salts. A theoretical approach is described, which explains electrophilic reactivity of sulfonium salts.  相似文献

The sulfonium and pyridinium ylides stabilized by a cyanoformyl group, in an acidic medium, lead to sulfonium and pyridinium salts which are equivalents of pyridinium or sulfonium ketene salts. A series of thioether‐functionalised imidazolium salts have been prepared and characterized. Subsequent reaction of the thioether‐functionalised imidazolium salts with iodomethane affords imidazolium–sulfonium salts composed of doubly charged cations and two different anions. Imidazolium–sulfonium salts containing a single anion type are obtained either by a solvent extraction method or by anion exchange. The imidazolium–sulfonium salts undergo a methyl‐transfer reaction on exposure to water, giving rise to a new, singly charged imidazolium salt with iodide introduced at the 2‐position of the imidazolium ring. Crystal structures of some of the imidazolium–sulfonium salts were determined by X‐ray crystallography providing the topology of the interactions between the dications and the anions. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and quantum‐chemical calculations were used to rationalise the relative strength of these interactions.  相似文献

Various S-allyl sulfonium salts were allowed to react with bases (EtONa/EtOH, NaH/THF). From product analyses, it was found that modes of reaction depend on both the structure of sulfonium salts and the bases employed. Among the observations, it is worthy to note the formation of cyclopropane derivatives from some allyl sulfonium salts.  相似文献

This work describes an original structure−reactivity relationship within a series of sulfonium salts synthesized using a cyclization strategy. The new sulfonium salt comprises a stilbene subunit decorated with a combination of cyclized structure, that is, carbocyclic ring, furan ring, and thiophene ring, to inhibit the isomerization of double bond systems. The photoacid generation efficiency of such cyclized stilbene derivative sulfonium salts is mainly modulated by the five-membered ring structures and the substituent as confirmed by photodegradation, in situ nuclear magnetic resonance, and cyclic voltammetry. Such cyclization drastically regulates the population of highly reactive excited singlet species and thus enhances the photoacid generation performance of the sulfonium salts by more than one order of magnitude within the series, especially when introducing oxygen to form the benzofuran ring structure. Given this amplified photoreactivity, the application potential of the photoinitiated cationic polymerization of the sulfonium salts was evaluated at different irradiation wavelengths.  相似文献

A review of the synthesis and properties of ionenes is presented. Particular attention is paid to the electrical and related properties of conductive teteracyano-p-quinodimethane (TCNQ) complex salts of ionenes containing ammonium or sulfonium groups in the main chain and to their chemical stability. The recent work on preparation of such ionenes with inorganic and organic counterions which show interesting linear and nonlinear optical properties is also discussed. It is shown that in the solid state ionenes act as a kind of a matrix fixing, in a chemically controlled way, positions and distribution of different kinds of counterions. Because the reaction of counterion exchange is easy in the case of ionenes it provides a convenient way to prepare a broad class of polyelectrolytes with many different properties.  相似文献

5- and 6-membered cyclic sulfonium salts carrying methyl substituents on the ring have been synthetized and partially resolved. These salts undergo thermal stereomutation at rates which are 103 times lower than that of non-cyclic sulfonium cations. In the electroreduction of sulfonium and ammonium salts, sulfonium ylid was generated from the sulfonium salt, whereas in the case of the ammonium salt, nitrogen ylid was not formed but the N+C bond was reductively cleaved. On the basis of the controlled potential electrolysis, it seems acceptable that the mechanism of formation of sulfonium ylid involves the direct electron transfer to the sulfonium salt as the initiation step.  相似文献

A nickel-catalysed reductive cross-coupling reaction between benzyl sulfonium salts and benzyl bromides is reported. Simple, stable and readily available sulfonium salts have shown their ability as leaving groups in cross-electrophile coupling, allowing the formation of challenging sp3–sp3 carbon-carbon bonds, towards the synthesis of interesting dihydrostilbene derivatives. In addition, benzyl tosyl derivatives have been demonstrated to be suitable substrates for reductive cross-coupling by in-situ formation of the corresponding sulfonium salt.  相似文献

A group of sulfonium salts equipped with a polyhydroxylated side-chain structure have been isolated and identified as potent α-glycosidase inhibitors. Consequently, they have become an attractive target in diverse research disciplines, including organic synthesis, drug discovery, and chemical biology. To this end, the development of practical and effective synthetic strategies, especially for more bioactive de-O-sulfonated sulfonium salts, is a significant research area in organic synthesis. An ideal synthetic methodology should provide easily accessible intermediates with high chemical stability for the key coupling reaction to diastereoselectively construct the sulfonium cation center. This minireview summarizes recently developed strategies applied in the construction of natural de-O-sulfonated sulfonium sugars: 1) acid-catalyzed de-O-sulfonation of sulfonium sulfate inner salts, 2) a coupling reaction between side-chain fragments containing leaving groups and a thiosugar, 3) a coupling reaction between side-chain fragments containing epoxide structures and a thiosugar, and 4) a two-step sequential SN2 nucleophilic substitution between side-chain fragments containing thiol groups and a diiodide derivative.  相似文献

The photoactivation of electron donor-acceptor complexes has emerged as a sustainable, selective and versatile strategy for the generation of radical species. Electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complexation, however, imposes electronic constraints on the donor and acceptor components and this can limit the range of radicals that can be generated using the approach. New EDA complexation strategies exploiting sulfonium salts allow radicals to be generated from native functionality. For example, aryl sulfonium salts, formed by the activation of arenes, can serve as the acceptor components in EDA complexes due to their electron-deficient nature. This “sulfonium tag” approach relaxes the electronic constraints on the parent substrate and dramatically expands the range of radicals that can be generated using EDA complexation. In this review, these new applications of sulfonium salts will be introduced and the areas of chemical space rendered accessible through this innovation will be highlighted.  相似文献

Graft copolymerization of a bicycloorthoester (BOE) with polymer-supported sulfonium salts was studied. Several polymer-supported sulfonium salts were prepared by the homopolymerizations of p-vinylbenzyl tetramethylenesulfonium hexafluoroantimonate ( 2 ) and 4-(p-vinylphenyl)butyl tetramethylenesulfonium hexafluoroantimonate ( 3 ), and by the copolymerizations of 2 with some vinyl monomers (n-butyl vinyl ether, styrene, acrylonitrile, and p-styrenesulfonic acid potassium salt). These sulfonium salts could initiate the polymerization of BOE to give grafted polymers. Temperature dependences of the catalytic activity of them were not so dramatic as that of benzyl tetramethylenesulfonium hexafluoroantimonate ( 1 ), but the activities of them were higher than that of 1 at temperatures lower than 80°C. The conversion of BOE in the polymerizations with these polymer initiators was ca. 30–70% at 120°C for 7 h. An effect of the comonomer structure on the catalytic activity was observed and styrene was the best comonomer for 2 in terms of the reactivity of the copolymer. The spacer-modified sulfonium salt (homopolymer of 3 ) was slightly lower than polymer-supported benzyl type sulfonium salt (homopolymer of 2 ) in the catalytic activity.  相似文献

A new type of chiral sulfonium salts that are characterized by a bicyclic system has been designed and synthesized from α‐amino acids. Their corresponding ylides, which were prepared by basic treatment of the sulfonium salts, reacted smoothly with a broad array of simple and chiral aldehydes to provide trans‐epoxy amides in reasonable to very good yields and excellent stereoselectivities (>98 %). The obtained epoxy amides were found to be useful as synthetic building blocks. Thus, they were reduced into their corresponding epoxy alcohols and subjected to oxirane‐ring‐opening reactions with different types of nucleophiles.  相似文献

Gleason-type chiral auxiliaries were used for the synthesis of a novel class of sulfonium salts, obtained via methylation of the sulfide with Meerwein's salt. The salts were reacted with aldehydes under basic conditions to provide epoxy amides, which were reduced to their corresponding epoxy alcohols in excellent enantiomeric excesses. Interestingly, it was feasible to synthesize both enantiomeric epoxy alcohols depending on which of the sulfonium salts, prepared from L-amino acids (6 and 9 from L-valine or 15 and 16 from L-serine) was employed.  相似文献

Alkylsulfonium salts (ASS) have been shown to act as powerful alkylating agents. However, few studies have addressed the application of sulfonium salts to the modification of biomolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins. Since these large biomolecules play important roles in biological processes, a convenient and fast method for their modification is greatly needed. In this work, for the first time, we used a tandem method of sulfonium alkylation and click chemistry (CuAAC) for modification of biomolecules. Fluorescent labeling of proteins and tobacco mosaic virus were successfully performed after simple incubation of biomolecules with sulfonium salts followed by azido-containing compound at room temperature. This facile bioconjugation assay based on ASS-CuAAC reactions should be useful in protein chemistry and bionanoscience.  相似文献

Although chiral quaternary ammonium and phosphonium salts are commonly used for asymmetric organocatalysis, the catalytic ability of chiral tertiary sulfonium salts has yet to be demonstrated in asymmetric synthesis. Herein, we show that chiral bifunctional trialkylsulfonium salts catalyze highly enantioselective conjugate additions of 3‐substituted oxindoles to maleimides under base‐free neutral phase‐transfer conditions.  相似文献

3-tert-Butyldimethylsilyloxyalk-2-enylsulfonium salts, generated in situ from the reaction of alpha,beta-enones with dimethyl sulfide in the presence of TBSOTf, underwent a novel nucleophilic substitution with allylindiums to give silyl enol ethers of delta,epsilon-alkenyl ketones in good yields, which correspond to formal Michael addition products. In a similar manner, 1,4-propargylation of propargylindiums onto the sulfonium salts produced the corresponding silyl enol ethers of delta,epsilon-alkynyl ketones in good yields. Organoindium reagents derived from gamma-substituted propargyl bromide and indium afforded the corresponding silyl enol ethers of beta-allenyl ketones in good yields. The reaction proceeds via an addition-substitution mechanism involving the formation of allylic sulfonium salts. The presence of the intermediate sulfonium salt was confirmed by observation of the low-temperature (1)H NMR spectra.  相似文献

成功合成了两种新型锍鎓盐类光生酸剂,其结构经11HNMR和MS分析确认,并对其基本物性及在405、365nm光下乙腈溶液中的分解及产酸性能进行了研究,通过计算得出了分解及产酸量子产率.结果表明,两种化合物有较高的热分解温度和在常用有机溶剂中有较好的溶解性;在405nm光源下,4-(9′-苯基蒽基)苯基三氟甲磺酸锍鎓盐(PAGS1)和4-(4′-N,N-二乙基-1′-苯乙烯基)苯基三氟甲磺酸锍鎓盐(PAGS2)的分解量子产率分别为10%和15%,产酸量子产率为8.1%和13%;但在365nm光源下,分解及产酸量子产率均很低,说明两种光生酸剂对于405nm波长的光较敏感,适宜作为405nm光源下的光生酸剂.  相似文献

The specificity of the nitration and bromination of dimethyl(2-thienyl)sulfonium salts was studied. It was found that, in contrast to methyl 2-thienyl sulfide, which reacts to form 3- and 5-substituted derivatives, the sulfonium salts give a mixture of 4- and 5-substituted products.
