We propose a concentration scheme of the W class state via cavity QED technique. In our scheme the influences of cavity decay and atomic spontaneous emission have been considered. Furthermore, the atomic spontaneous emission has been suppressed by using non-radiative transitions in atoms with three-level structure, and the photonic qubit is used as flying qubit and atomic qubit as stationary qubit. Therefore our scheme is comparatively easy to realize within techniques presently available.  相似文献

It has been experimentally demonstrated that the use of the effect of significant narrowing of the fluorescence spectrum from a nanocell that contains a column of atomic Rb vapor with a thickness of L = 0.5λ (where λ = 794 nm is the wavelength of laser radiation, whose frequency is resonant with the atomic transition of the D 1 line of Rb) and the application of narrowband diode lasers allow the spectral separation and investigation of changes in probabilities of optical atomic transitions between levels of the hyperfine structure of the D 1 line of 87Rb and 85Rb atoms in external magnetic fields of 10–2500 Gs (for example, for one of transitions, the probability increases ∼17 times). Small column thicknesses (∼390 nm) allow the application of permanent magnets, which facilitates significantly the creation of strong magnetic fields. Experimental results are in a good agreement with the theoretical values. The advantages of this method over other existing methods are noted. The results obtained show that a magnetometer with a local spatial resolution of ∼390 nm can be created based on a nanocell with the column thickness L = 0.5λ. This result is important for mapping strongly inhomogeneous magnetic fields.  相似文献

We study the dynamic processes of reversible light storage in a double-Λ system of cold atoms by modulating two counter-propagating control fields in three successive stages. We find that stationary light pulses (SLPs) can be generated when we switch on both control fields to retrieve the stored light signal from a wave-packet of atomic spin coherence. But the two control fields should have equal Rabi frequencies for a symmetric structure of atomic levels while unequal Rabi frequencies for an asymmetric structure of atomic levels. That is, the generation of SLPs requires a special ratio between Rabi frequencies of the two control fields, which is determined by the spontaneous decay rates of relevant atomic transitions. We also show that phase modulation and profile reversal of the released light signal can be implemented by suitably manipulating the two control fields. The double-Λ system of cold atoms has the advantage of high efficiency and high fidelity, when compared to the Λ system of cold atoms, because SLPs generated therein suffer very slow decay and diffusion.  相似文献

From a general metric for stationary cyclic symmetric gravitational fields coupled to Maxwell electromagnetic fields within the (2 + 1)-dimensional gravity the uniqueness of wide families of exact solutions is established. Among them, all uniform electromagnetic solutions possessing electromagnetic fields with vanishing covariant derivatives, all fields having constant electromagnetic invariants FμνFμν and TμνTμν, the whole classes of hybrid electromagnetic solutions, and also wide classes of stationary solutions are derived for a third-order nonlinear key equation. Certain of these families can be thought of as black hole solutions. For the most general set of Einstein–Maxwell equations, reducible to three nonlinear equations for the three unknown functions, two new classes of solutions – having anti-de Sitter spinning metric limit – are derived. The relationship of various families with those reported by different authors’ solutions has been established. Among the classes of solutions with cosmological constant a relevant place is occupied by the electrostatic and magnetostatic Peldan solutions, the stationary uniform and spinning Clement classes, the constant electromagnetic invariant branches with the particular Kamata–Koikawa solution, the hybrid cyclic symmetric stationary black hole fields, and the non-less important solutions generated via SL(2,R)-transformations where the Clement spinning charged solution, the Martinez–Teitelboim–Zanelli black hole solution, and Dias–Lemos metric merit mention.  相似文献

The energies and intensities of the various transitions corresponding to the transition scheme 2p3/2?13x?1–3x?13d3/2?1 (i.e. L3Mx–MxM4) were used to compute theoretical Lα2 satellite spectra in 13 elements in the atomic number range of 62 ≤ Z ≤ 90. The energies were calculated using available HFS data on K–LM and L–MM transition energies. The intensities of all the possible transitions were estimated by considering cross‐sections for the Auger transitions simultaneous to a hole creation and then distributing statistically the total cross‐sections for initial two‐hole states 2p3/2?13x?1 (L3Mx) amongst various allowed transitions from these initial states to 3x?13d3/2?1 (MxM4) final states. Each transition was assumed to give rise to a Gaussian line and the overall spectrum was computed as the sum of these Gaussian curves. The calculated spectra were compared with the available measured Lα satellite spectra. The peaks in the theoretical satellite spectra were identified as the experimentally reported satellites Lαs, La13, La14 and La17, which lie on the high‐energy side of the Lα2 dipole line. We study the stationary points of what is known as the lattice Landau gauge fixing functional in one-dimensional compact U(1) lattice gauge theory, or as the Hamiltonian of the one-dimensional random phase XY model in statistical physics. An analytic solution of all stationary points is derived for lattices with an odd number of lattice sites and periodic boundary conditions. In the context of lattice gauge theory, these stationary points and their indices are used to compute the gauge fixing partition function, making reference in particular to the Neuberger problem. Interpreted as stationary points of the one-dimensional XY Hamiltonian, the solutions and their Hessian determinants allow us to evaluate a criterion which makes predictions on the existence of phase transitions and the corresponding critical energies in the thermodynamic limit.  相似文献

It was pointed out that the level scheme of the transitional nuclei 124,126,128,130,132,134,136Ba also can be studied by both characteristics (IBM-1 and IBM-2) of the interacting boson model and an adequate point of the model leading to E2 transitions is therefore confirmed. Most of the δ(E2/M1) ratios that are still not known so far are stated and the set of parameters used in these calculations is the best approximation that has been carried out so far. It has turned out that the interacting boson approximation is fairly reliable for the calculation of spectra in the entire set of 124,126,128,130,132,134,136Ba isotopes.  相似文献

Multilevel quantum coherence and its quantum‐vacuum counterpart, where a three‐level dark state is involved, are suggested in order to achieve new photonic and quantum optical applications. It is shown that such a three‐level dark state in a four‐level tripod‐configuration atomic system consists of three lower levels, where constructive and destructive quantum interference between two control transitions (driven by two control fields) arises. We point out that the controllable optical response due to the double‐control tunable quantum interference can be utilized to design some fascinating new photonic devices such as logic gates, photonic transistors and switches at quantum level. A single‐photon two‐input XOR logic gate (in which the incident “gate” photons are the individual light quanta of the two control fields) based on such an effect of optical switching control with an EIT (electromagnetically induced transparency) microcavity is suggested as an illustrative example of the application of the dark‐state manipulation via the double‐control quantum interference. The present work would open up possibility of new applications in both fundamental physics (e.g., field quantization and relevant quantum optical effects in artificial systems that can mimic atomic energy levels) and applied physics (e.g., photonic devices such as integrated optical circuits at quantum level).  相似文献

The decay of 75Se to levels of 75As has been studied using an HPGe detector for gamma-ray and a mini-orange electron spectrometer for conversion electron measurements. We identify 38 transitions in this decay, including 18 gamma rays and 16 conversion electron lines reported for the first time. New results also include E2 multipolarity assignment for the 81 keV transition, M1 assignment to three newly observed transitions and M1 + E2 for the 617 keV transition. A revised 75As level scheme is constructed using the Ritz combination principle through the computer code GTOL. While confirming the existence of 10 well-established levels, two levels at 587 and 859 keV are newly placed into the decay scheme of 75Se. The interpretation of the observed levels in terms of various theoretical approaches is briefly discussed. The newly placed 586.8 keV 1/2- and 859.9 keV 1/2+ levels are studied in the light of the Interacting Boson-Fermion Model.  相似文献

We discuss the formulation of gauge-invariant quantum field theories (without dynamical matter fields) as statistical mechanics systems on four-dimensional Euclidean lattices. Approximation methods including strong- and weak-coupling expansions, mean-field theory and Monte Carlo simulations are reviewed in detail, and Abelian duality transformations are derived. New models are discussed. An action is defined on 2 × 1 rectangular loops of links and its properties are investigated. It is found to result in phase transitions in 2, 3 and 4 dimensions with Z(2) and SU(2) gauge groups. A large class of models with Z(N) symmetry realised on plaquettes is investigated, and several phase diagrams are presented. A mixed model with interactions through both plaquettes and rectangles is found to have a line of phase transitions and a critical point associated with the crossover region in the Wilson SU(2) model.  相似文献

Structural phase transitions of Zn4Sb3 and its substitutional compounds (Zn0.98M0.02)4Sb3 (M = Al, Ga and In) are investigated by electrical transport measurement and differential scanning calorimetry below room temperature. The results indicate that both β→α and α→α′ phase transitions of Zn4Sb3 are reversible and exothermic processes, which may be explained as that both the transitions originate from the ordering of the disordered interstitial Zn and vacancies in regular sizes. The derived activation energies of β→α and α→α′ phase transition processes for Zn4Sb3 are E1 = 3.9 eV and E2 = 4.1 eV, respectively. Although no remarkable influence on activation energy E2 is observed after Al doping, Al substitution for Zn causes E1 to increase to 4.6 eV, implying its suppression of βα transition to a great extent. Moreover, it is found that both βα and αα′ transitions are completely prohibited by substitution of either In or Ga for Zn in Zn4Sb3. The underlying mechanisms for these phenomena are discussed.  相似文献

This paper deals with a theoretical model which describes the effect of Majorana transitions on the frequency of a cesium atomic clock. In contrast to the explanations given in the past, the phase correlation between the individual successive excitations in inhomogeneous magnetic fields and the microwave resonator are for the first time taken into account. The π transitions with the selection rule ΔF = 1, Δm = ± 1 are of particular importance. The theory allows experimental results obtained in the past with the CSX apparatus, in particular the large frequency shifts observed, to be interpreted. The effect on the determination of the uncertainty of primary atomic clocks will be discussed.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论(DFT)中的B3LYP方法, 在LANL2DZ基组水平上, 优化了C19M(M=Cr,Mo,W)团簇的几何结构, 得出了它们的基态构型, 并研究了基态结构的物理化学性能.结果表明: 不同的M原子替换后, C19M的动力学稳定性相差不大, 而热力学稳定性随着M原子序数的增加而逐渐升高; 通过对C19M的前线轨道分析发现, M原子对各个轨道均有一定的贡献, M原子对各个轨道的贡献大致随着M原子序数的增加而增加, C19M中金属原子M(M=Cr,Mo,W)上集中了大量的正电荷; C19M的芳香性随着M原子序数的增加而减弱.  相似文献

It is inferred from the analysis of the experimental data that the reduced probabilities of isovector l-forbidden M1 transitions achieve maximum values in nuclei with a magic core. The minimum values are related to γ transitions in nuclei belonging to the region of stable deformation with A ≈ 25. Isovector l-forbidden M1 transitions in mirror nuclei are explored. The ratio of the reduced probabilities for proton and neutron transitions shows the maximum deviation from the theoretical evaluations for the pair of nuclei 41Ca-41Sc consisting of the even-even magic core 40Ca and one nucleon outside the closed 1d2s shell.  相似文献

A new numerical method is used to study the ground-state properties of the spinless Falicov-Kimball model in one and two dimensions. The resultant solutions are used to examine the phase diagram of the model as well as possibilities for valence and metal-insulator transitions. In one dimension a comprehensive phase diagram of the model is presented. On the base of this phase diagram, the complete picture of valence and metal-insulator transitions is discussed. In two dimensions the structure of ground-state configurations is described for intermediate interactions between f and d electrons. In this region the phase separation and metal-insulator transitions are found at low f-electron concentrations. It is shown that valence transitions exhibit a staircase structure. With the advent of high-precision frequency combs that can bridge large frequency intervals, new possibilities have opened up for the laser spectroscopy of atomic transitions. Here, it is shown that laser spectroscopic techniques can also be used to determine the ground-state g factor of a bound electron. The proposal is based on a double-resonance experiment, where the spin state of a ground-state electron is constantly being read out by laser excitation to the atomic L shell, while the spin flip transitions are being induced simultaneously by a resonant microwave field, leading to the detection of the quantum jumps between the ground-state Zeeman sublevels. The magnetic moments of electrons in light hydrogen-like ions could thus be measured with advanced laser technology. Corresponding theoretical predictions are also presented. The antiferromagnetic body-centred tetragonal compound GdNi2Ge2 orders at 28 K. Successive magnetic phase transitions are observed by specific-heat and magnetisation measurements as a function of temperature in different applied magnetic fields. Plots of M2 vs. B/M (Arrott-plots) show various anomalies. On the basis of the experimental results, a magnetic phase diagram is constructed. The multiple magnetic phase transitions are discussed in terms of competing ordering modes in the Gd sublattice.  相似文献

Conditions for the total reflection x‐ray fluorescence (TXRF) analysis of real uranium samples for low atomic number elements using vacuum chamber TXRF spectrometer were optimized. It was observed that for analysis of low atomic number elements, almost complete removal of uranium matrix is required. Two certified reference materials of uranium containing trace elements in different concentrations were dissolved in minimum amount of high purity nitric acid. The uranium matrix from these solutions was separated by solvent extraction using tri‐n‐butyl phosphate as extracting reagent. Low atomic number elements in TXRF spectrum of the aqueous phase could be seen only after six tri‐n‐butyl phosphate equilibrations in extraction. The TXRF determinations of the certified low atomic number elements Mg and Al were made in these aqueous solutions after addition of Sc as an internal standard. The TXRF determined values for Mg were in good agreement with the certified values, whereas TXRF determined Al values differed from the certified values appreciably, probably due to the interference of Al Kα peak with escape peak of U Mα and the neighboring Si Kα peak.
