Neutron-activation analysis /NAA/ was used for the estimation of Hg, Co, Cr, Zn and Fe in leaves of various plants namelySapindus mukorossis, Alstonia scholaris andDiospyros embryopteris located in urban areas of Punjab, Pakistan. Different varities of tissues were found to have different concentration of trace elements when compared among themselves. Significant pollution has been observed.  相似文献

Male SAS/4 mice injected intraperitoneally with chromate ions and Se-compounds (i.e. selenodiglutathione, selenocystine, selenomethionine and SeO2). The distribution of Se, Cr, Zn, Rb, Co and Fe in liver, kidneys, spleen, heart, lungs, blood, small intestine and eyes has been studied by instrumental neutron activation analysis. Cr was incorporated in all investigated organs and the efficiency of the Cr-accumulation was affected upon the Se-injection. It was found that the mutual and indirect interaction occurs between injected Se-compounds and chromate ions. On the other hand, the interaction of Cr with Zn has been competitive. Injection with chromate ions affects the contents of Rb, Co and Fe in mice organs.  相似文献

The generation of metal cyanide ions in the gas phase by laser ablation of M(CN)(2) (M = Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Hg), Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O, Ag(3)[M(CN)(6)] (M = Fe, Co), and Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)] has been investigated using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Irradiation of Zn(CN)(2) and Cd(CN)(2) produced extensive series of anions, [Zn(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (1 < or = n < or = 27) and [Cd(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (n = 1, 2, 8-27, and possibly 29, 30). Cations Hg(CN)(+) and [Hg(2)(CN)(x)](+) (x = 1-3), and anions [Hg(CN)(x)](-) (x = 2, 3), are produced from Hg(CN)(2). Irradiation of Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O gives the anions [Fe(CN)(2)](-), [Fe(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Fe(2)(CN)(5)](-). When Ag(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] is ablated, [AgFe(CN)(4)](-) and [Ag(2)Fe(CN)(5)](-) are observed together with homoleptic anions of Fe and Ag. The additional heterometallic complexes [AgFe(2)(CN)(6)](-), [AgFe(3)(CN)(8)](-), [Ag(2)Fe(2)(CN)(7)](-), and [Ag(3)Fe(CN)(6)](-) are observed on ablation of Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)]. Homoleptic anions [Co(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Co(3)(CN)(5)](-) are formed when anhydrous Co(CN)(2) is the target. Ablation of Ag(3)[Co(CN)(6)] yields cations [Ag(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n)](+) (n = 1, 2) and anions [Ag(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n-1)](-) (n = 1, 2), [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1, 2), and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+3)](-) (n = 0-2). The Ni(I) species [Ni(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ni(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3) are produced when anhydrous Ni(CN)(2) is irradiated. In all cases, CN(-) and polyatomic carbon nitride ions C(x)N(y)(-) are formed concurrently. On the basis of density functional calculations, probable structures are proposed for most of the newly observed species. General structural features are low coordination numbers, regular trigonal coordination stereochemistry for d(10) metals but distorted trigonal stereochemistry for transition metals, the occurrence of M-CN-M and M(-CN-)(2)M bridges, addition of AgCN to terminal CN ligands, and the occurrence of high spin ground states for linear [M(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) complexes of Co and Ni.  相似文献

The incorporation of Se and Te into liver, kidneys, heart, spleen, lung and small intestine after i.p. injections of Balby mice with seleno-cystine (CySe)2 and Na2TeO3 in the presence of Cd (as CdCl2), As (as As2O3) and Zn (as ZnSO4) has been studied. The change of contents of Co, Fe, Rb and Hg were determined in all investigated organs after injections with the above compounds. Instrumental neutron activation analysis was applied as the analytical method. It was found that a competitive interaction occurs between As and Se or Te. Similarly, this interaction has been observed between Se and Cd. The data obtained suggest that Cd has a higher competitive ability to displace Te than Zn and Se. Injection with the above compounds affects the contents of Fe, Co, Rb and Hg in all mice organs.  相似文献

The interaction of inorganic mercury (as HgCl2) with SeO2 and organic Se-compounds is compared. Instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) was applied as the analytical method. Organ concentrations of Hg and Se were always significantly higher after simultaneous i. p. injections with HgCl2 and Se-compounds. Especially high abundances of Se and Hg in mice organs were found after simultaneous injection with Se-methionine and HgCl2. We suggest that Hg2+ ions are bonded by selenohydryl groups of the metabolites of injected Se-compounds. Binding yield of Hg2+ ions with metabolites of Se-compounds depends upon the chemical form of injected Se-compounds. Variations in the content of Zn, Co, Fe and Rb were observed in all the investigated organs after a single injection with HgCl2 or Se-compounds. Simultaneous injection with HgCl2 and Se-compounds affects the contents of these elements in comparison with single injections.  相似文献

Elemental analysis of some Nigerian grains for cobalt, zinc, iron, and chromium, was done by thermal NAA. The concentration of these essential trace elements were found as follows: rice /0.18–0.98 ppm Cr, 27–307 ppm Fe, 0.133–0.237 ppm Co, 12.4–17.8 ppm Zn/; soyabean /0.32–0.59 ppm Cr, 67–81 ppm Fe, 0.244–0.358 ppm Co, 42–45 ppm Zn/; maize /0.05–0.75 ppm Cr, 22.7–47.6 ppm Fe, 0.20–0.65 ppm Co, 15.8–33.4 ppm Zn/; ground-nut /0.22–2.02 ppm Cr, 27.2–34.8 ppm Fe, 0.08–1.73 ppm Co, 24.3–38.2 ppm Zn/. No pattern was established for the elemental concentration in the grain samples. The result obtained suggest that an average diet of these grains will provide an adequate concentration of these essential elements.  相似文献

The pronounced Lewis basic character of the metal atom in C5H5Co(PMe3)2 is demonstrated by its reactions with ZnCl2/PMe3, [(PMe3)2CuCl]2, SnCl4, R3SnCl (R  Me, Ph) and HgCl2 which lead to stable monocyclopentadienylcobalt complexes containing CoZn, CoCu, CoSn and CoHg bonds.  相似文献

The incorporation of Se or Te into some mice organs after injections with selenodiglutathione [(GS)2 Se], seleno-cystine [(CySe)2] or Na2TeO3 in the presence of glutathione (GSH) or cysteine (CySH) has been studied. Variations in the Hg, Zn, Fe, Co, and Rb contents were determined in all the investigated organs after intraperitoneal injections with the above compounds. Instrumental neutron activation analysis was applied as the analytical method. It was found that GSH and CySH increased the Se-content in the organs after the injection with (CySe)2, whereas GSH decreased after (GS)2 Se supply. GSH and CySH changed also the Te distribution. Injections with the above compounds affect the Hg, Zn, Fe, Co and Rb concentrations and these variations depend upon the injected compounds.  相似文献

The effect of age on trace element contents in intact prostate of 50 apparently healthy 0–30 year old males was investigated by neutron activation analysis with high resolution spectrometry of long-lived radionuclides. Mean values (M ± SΕΜ) for mass fraction (milligram per kilogram, on dry-weight basis) of trace elements were: Ag 0.0708 ± 0.0096, Co 0.0348 ± 0.0040, Cr 0.466 ± 0.069, Fe 100 ± 10, Hg 0.0258 ± 0.0025, Rb 12.6 ± 0.8, Sb 0.0576 ± 0.0066, Sc 0.0125 ± 0.0016, Se 0.478 ± 0.031, and Zn 273 ± 31, respectively. A strongly pronounced tendency of age-related increase in Se and Zn mass fraction and of age-related decrease in Co, Cr, Fe, and Sc mass fraction was observed in period of life from 0 to 30 years.  相似文献

Summary The analysis of ashes being of increasing importance, a reference material was prepared from fly ash of a city waste incinerator. The title subject has been studied by galvanostatic single-pulse, chronopotentiometric and equilibrium measurements on the Zn(Hg)/Zn(II) electrode in x M KI+(1?x) M KCl (x from 0 to 1), 1 M KBr and 1 M MeCl (Me=Li, Na, K and Cs) solutions of pH 3 at 25°C. Quantitative information about the effect of specifically adsorbed halides on the rates of the Zn(II)/Zn(I) and the Zn(I)/Zn(Hg) steps is obtained separately (for the latter step mainly at potentials near ?1.0 V(SCE)), and the latter step seems to be more influenced than the former by the adsorption. An attempt is made to correlate the adsorption effect on the rate of the Zn(II)/Zn(I) step to double-layer parameters according to recent models for such effects. The extra current observed at potentials where the halides are adsorbed, seems to vary with the surface activity of the specifically adsorbed ion. The lack of any observed kinetic effect of Cs+, which is specifically adsorbed at these potentials, is possibly due to the Cs+ specific adsorption enhancing the Cl? specific adsorption and vice versa, so that the decelerating and accelerating effects by these ions may cancel each other.  相似文献

Summary Since 1985 the conditioning of fresh seafish muscle reference materials to be certified for trace metals has been studied by CBNM at the request of BCR. This paper describes the study of the production process of a codfish reference material to be certified for Pb, Cd, Hg, Fe and Zn and its subsequent preparation. In particular, the collection of the base material, its transformation into powder by cryo-grinding in all-teflon equipment, the production of dry powder by freeze-drying and the conditioning and bottling of the candidate reference material. Production control and final homogeneity assessment were carried out by solid sampling Zeeman atomic absorption spectrometry. Analyses at different stages in the production process indicate that heterogeneities existing in the starting material are gradually eliminated in the subsequent production stages and that no external contamination occurs.  相似文献

Summary The element contents of As, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Hg, Na, Pb und Zn of a fly ash from pulverised coal are certified. The procedures and their results for the homogenisation, the contamination and homogeneity checks and the analytical campaign are reported. The certified mass fractions and indicative values for Cr, Ni, Th, V and water soluble sulphate are given. The work was carried out within the framework of the activities of the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) of the Commission of the European Communities.

Zusammenfassung In einer Flugasche aus Pulverkohle wurden die Elementgehalte an As, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Hg, Na, Pb und Zn zertifiziert. Über die Homogenisierung, die Kontrolle der Kontaminierung und Homogenität und die analytischen Ringversuche wird berichtet. Die zertifizierten Gehalte sowie der Gehalt von Cr, Ni, Th, V und wasserlöslichem Sulfat werden gegeben. Die Arbeit wurde ausgeführt im Rahmen des Programms des Referenzbüros der Kommission der Europäischen Gemeinschaften (BCR).

The interaction of inorganic silver (as AgNO3) with SeO2 and Se-compounds was studied. Instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) was applied as the analytical method. Organ concentrations of Ag were always significantly higher 72 hours after simultaneous intraperitoneal injections with AgNO3 and Se-compounds. Moreover, simultaneous injections elevated the Se-content in organs examined. We suggest that Se-compounds protect against liver lesions by markedly decreasing the concentration of Ag in this organ 2 hours after simultaneous injections. It was also found that Ag supply affects the contents of Zn, Rb, Fe and Co.  相似文献
