The cyclometalated platinum (II) complex, [Pt(ppy)(ppyH)2] OTF, 2 , in which ppy and ppyH denote the cyclometalated and non‐cyclometalated 2‐phenylpyridine ligand respectively, was prepared from the reaction of the platinum(IV) complex [PtMe3(OTF)], 1 , with 3 equiv 2‐phenylpyridine at room temperature. The cyclometalated complex 2 was characterized using 1H NMR spectroscopy. The solid state structure of 2 was further identified by single crystal X‐ray structure determination. 2 displays a green emission in solution and in solid state at room temperature and TD‐DFT calculations is used to elucidate the origin of the electronic transitions in the UV–vis spectrum of 2 .  相似文献

A pyridine-based diacid was synthesized via nucleophilic substitution reaction of 4-hydroxy benzoic acid with 2,6-dichloropyridine in the presence of potassium carbonate. The diacid was characterized using FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopic methods and also with elemental analysis. Polycondensation reaction of the diacid with different diols including 1,4-dihydroxy benzene, 1,5-dihydroxy naphthalene, bis-phenol A and bis-phenol-P resulted in preparation of pyridine-based poly(ether-ester)s. The polymers were characterized and their physical and thermal properties including inherent viscosity, molecular weight, solubility, thermal stability, thermal behavior and crystallinity were studied. They revealed high heat-resistance and improved solubility in polar solvents. Structure-property relations for the prepared polyester were also studied.  相似文献

Soluble poly(2,5-dialkoxy-1,4-phenylenevinylene) has been prepared via Stille coupling reaction between 2,5-dialkoxy-1,4-diiodobenzene and E-1,2-bis(tributylstannyl)-ethene in the presence of palladium complexes. Characterization of this material by means of 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), ultraviolet/visible (UV/VIS) and infrared (IR) spectra is described. Molecular weights, determined by means of gelpermeation chromatography (GPC) analysis and referred to standard polystyrene, were in the range number-average molecular weights M n = 2061–2544 and weight-average molecular weights M w = 3347–3878. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of the polymer showed semicrystalline structure. Tg = 57°C, transition to a stable smectic mesophase at 115°C and clearing point at 210°C were revealed by differential scanning calorimetry analysis, optical microscopy observation and XRD of the annealed polymer.  相似文献

A novel phosphorus-containing bismaleimide, 3,3′-bis(maleimidophenyl)phenylphosphine oxide (BMPPPO), was synthesized from triphenylphosphine oxide. This bismaleimide exhibited good solubility in common organic solvents, such as methylethylketone, methylisobutylketone, dichloromethane, chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, acetone, methanol, ethanol, and hot toluene. A low melting point (Tm = 148 °C), a relatively low polymerization temperature (Tp = 214 °C), and a wide processing window (TpTm = 66 °C) were also obtained for BMPPPO. This implies better processing capability. In contrast to most known phosphorus-containing polymers, the incorporation of BMPPPO into poly(bismaleimide) enhanced the polymer glass-transition temperature. Thermal stability at temperatures over 550 °C and char yields in the high-temperature region over 700 °C were also improved. Thermally curable naphthoxazine-functionalized polymers were synthesized by the reaction of linear (diamines) and branched (triamines) poly(propyleneoxide)s (Jeffamine series) having various molecular weights, with p-formaldehyde, and 2-naphthol. The structures of the resulting polymers were characterized by using FT-IR and 1H-NMR. In addition, curing behavior of these polymers was studied using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Hydrophilicity of these polymers, both in cured and non-cured states, was investigated by water contact angle measurements. The surface topographies of the polymers were also examined by atomic force microscope (AFM).  相似文献

Novel poly(ether urethanes) were synthesized by homo- and random copolymerization of the m- and p-hydroxyethoxy benzoyl azides. Polymerization proceeded by decomposition and rearrangement of the acid azide group to the isocyanate group, which immediately reacted intermolecularly with the hydroxyl group to produce polyurethanes. These polymers were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), viscosity, and solubility. The thermal stability of these polymers was also studied by TG and DTG (derivative TG).  相似文献

The radical copolymerization of acrylic acid with acrylamide was carried out at different monomer ratios in solution (DMF) at 60°C. The corresponding homopolymers were also synthesized to compare their metal ion binding abilities. All the copolymers were characterized by elemental analysis. The metal ion binding properties of these water-soluble polymers with Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Pb(II), Hg(II), Fe(III), and Cr(III) ions were investigated in aqueous solution using the Liquid-Phase Polymer-Based Retention (LPR) technique. Poly(acrylic acid-co-acrylamide) showed a higher retention compared to the homopolymers for all the metal ions except of Hg(II), which was not retained. Besides, the retention of Cd(II) is higher than that an addition of the retention of both homopolymers. It may be attributed to a synergic effect. Herein we report the synthesis of two solution processible, conjugated polymers containing the benzobisoxazole moiety. The polymers were characterized using (1)H NMR, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Thermal gravimetric analysis shows that the polymers do not exhibit significant weight loss until approximately 300 °C under nitrogen. Cyclic voltammetry shows that the polymers have reversible reduction waves with estimated LUMO levels at -3.02 and -3.10 eV relative to vacuum and optical bandgaps of 2.04-2.17 eV. Devices based on blends of the copolymers and [6,6]-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) exhibited modest power conversion efficiencies. Theoretical models reveal that there is poor electron delocalization along the polymer backbone, leading to poor performance. However, the energy levels of these polymers indicate that the incorporation of benzobisoxazoles into the polymer backbone is a promising strategy for the synthesis of new materials.  相似文献

A series of vinylene‐linked copolymers based on electron‐deficient benzobisthiazole and electron‐rich fluorene moieties were synthesized via Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons polymerization. Three different polymers P1 , P2 , and P3 , were prepared bearing octyl, 3,7‐dimethyloctyl, and 2‐(2‐ethoxy)ethoxyethyl side chains, respectively. The polymers all possessed moderate molecular weights, good solubility in aprotic organic solvents, and high fluorescence quantum efficiencies in dilute solutions. P2 , which bore branched 3,7‐dimethyloctyl side chains, exhibited better solubility than the other polymers, but also exhibited the lowest thermal decomposition temperature of all polymers. Overall, the impact of the side chains on the polymers optical properties in solution was negligible as all three polymers gave similar absorption and emission spectra in both solution and film. Guest‐host light‐emitting diodes using dilute blends of the polymers in a poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) host gave blue‐green emission with P2 exhibiting the highest luminous efficiency, 0.61 Cd/A at ~500 nm. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new polysulfide polymer was synthesized from methylene dichloride and sodium tetrasulfide by an interfacial polycondensation technique using two quarternary ammonium salts as phase transfer catalysts. The synthesized polymers were characterized by FT-IR, X-ray and elemental analysis. Thermal properties were evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. A new family of positively charged, water soluble and functional amino acid‐based poly(ester amide)s ( Arg‐AG PEA ) consisting of four building blocks (L ‐Arginine, DL ‐2‐Allylglycine, oligoethylene glycol, and aliphatic diacid) were synthesized by the solution copolycondensation. Functional pendant carbon–carbon double bonds located in the DL ‐2‐allylglycine unit were incorporated into these Arg‐AG PEAs, and the double bond contents could be adjusted by tuning the feed ratio of L ‐arginine to DL ‐2‐allylglycine monomers. Chemical structures of this new functional Arg‐AG PEA family were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra. The thermal property of these polymers was investigated; increasing the methylene chain in both the amino acid and diacid segments resulted in a reduction in the polymer glass‐transition temperature. All these cationic Arg‐AG PEAs had good solubility in water and polar organic solvents. The cytotoxity of Arg‐AG PEAs was evaluated by 3‐(4,5‐Dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Soluble poly(arylene thiophenes) containing amide bridge bonds and free nitrile groups have been synthesized through polycondensation of new arylene-bis(2-aminothiophene-3-carbonitrile)s with arylene- dicarboxylic acid dichlorides, and their physical and photochemical properties have been studied. Thermostable and acid-resistant poly(thiene pyrimidones) co ntaining main-chain thiophene, arylene, and pyrimidone fragments have been obtained via the isomerization polycyclomerization of the poly(arylene thiophenes).  相似文献

Novel cationic polyelectrolytes with a brush-on-brush structure of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) side chains and a charge-containing polyacrylate backbone were synthesized. The PEO side chains were not directly attached to the backbone but via polymethacrylate spacers, thus locating the PEO chains a distance away from the charged units of the backbone. The cationic brush-on-brush polyelectrolytes with high density of PEO chains showed a strong affinity to silica surfaces, provided the backbone charge density was high enough. The adsorption of these polymers was studied by QCM-D giving very high sensed mass, 20 mg/m2. It was shown by direct force measurements that protective surface layers were formed by the novel polyelectrolytes, generating strongly repulsive steric forces, which provided an effective barrier against flocculation. The adsorbed layer was sufficiently robust to withstand sliding experiments under a pressure of up to 35 MPa. The friction force in water was very low, and the lubrication was characterized by a friction coefficient in the range of 0.02-0.06.  相似文献

Ointment-like poly(ortho esters) were synthesized for the first time from the reaction of 3,9-bis(methylene)-2,4,8,10-tetraoxaspiro[5. 5] undecane with poly(ethylene glycol)-400, N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-n-hexadecylamine and N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl) palmitamide, respectively. The obtained polymers were characterized by 1H NMR spectra, 13C NMR spectra, elemental analyses, light scattering, and measurements of intrinsic viscosity. The influence of catalyst on the intrinsic viscosity of polymers was investigated. The 9-[(1,3-dihydroxy-2-propoxy) methyl] guanine controlled release profiles of hydrophobic ointment-like polymers such as polymer PII in vitro were also discussed.  相似文献

New well-defined telechelic poly(phenyleneoxide)s (PPO's) were synthesized from 4-bromo-2,6-dimethylphenol and bi-phenolic compounds through phase transfer catalyzed aromatic nucleophilic substitution polymerization. Bisphenol-A (BPA), 4,4-biphenol (BP), hydroquinone (HQ) and 2,6-dihydroxynaphthalene (DHN) were employed as telechelic units. The composition analysis by proton-nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy revealed that DHN was highly reactive compared to BPA and HQ, whereas BP was un-reactive in the polymerization process. The number average repeating unit (n) in telechelic PPO was estimated as n=17-19 and n=17-20 for DHN and BPA (or HQ), respectively. The reactivity of the bi-phenolic in PPO synthesis are confirmed as DHN > HQ ∼ BPA ? BP. The molecular weight determination by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and viscosity method suggest that the molecular weight of PPO decreased drastically with increasing amount of bi-phenolic units in the feed. The GPC chromatogram of PPO showed a bi-modal distribution, clearly indicative of formation of two different types of molecular weight chains, whereas the telechelic polymers have a mono-modal distribution with a narrow polydispersity. Thermal analysis by differential scanning calorimetry revealed that telechelic polymers are highly amorphous, like PPO, and no crystallization or melting peaks were observed in the heating/cooling cycles.  相似文献

Water-soluble amphiphilic diblock copolymers were synthesized by the living cationic polymerization of methyl vinyl ether (hydrophilic block) and its subsequent termination with n-alcohols of chain lengths varying from one to eight, and three n-alkyl carboxylic acids with 10, 12, and 18 carbon atoms. Additionally, water and ethylene glycol were tested as terminating agents. The extent of the functionalization was determined using 1H NMR spectroscopy. The cloud points of 1% w/w aqueous solutions of the polymers as determined by turbidimetry decreased from 32 to 21°C as the number of carbon atoms of the terminating agent increased.
