Foliated Manifolds and Conformal Heat Morphisms

The objects under study, in this article, are Riemannian manifoldsfoliated by hypersurfaces. Looking at the transverse direction as time,we construct the generalised heat operator and, in the spirit of atime-space extension of harmonic morphisms, we introduce the conformal heat morphisms. Concrete examples of these concepts arepresented, as well as, a characterisation of conformal heat morphisms.Lastly, we calculate the heat Lie algebra of the generalised heatoperator.     

A Note on the Composite of Two Irreducible Morphisms

In this note, we show that a composite of two irreducible morphisms between indecomposable modules cannot lie in ?³\?⁵.     

On Aperiodic Relational Morphisms

We characterize aperiodic relational morphisms as those that are injective on regular $\H$-classes. This result is applied to obtain simple proofs and generalizations of McAlisters results on joins of aperiodic semigroups and groups. Also, we show that if $\pv H$ is a proper, non-trivial pseudovariety of groups, then \[\pv A\ast \pv H\subsetneq (\pv A\ast \pv G)\cap \ov {\pv H}.\] We provide coordinate-free formulations and proofs of Rhodess Presentation Lemma and generalizations. As an application, we give simpler proofs of Tilsons theorem on the complexity of semigroups with at most $2$ non-zero $\J$-classes and Rhodess theorem that complexity is not local.

f-Harmonic Morphisms Between Riemannian Manifolds

f-Harmonic maps were first introduced and studied by Lichnerowicz in 1970. In this paper, the author studies a subclass of f-harmonic maps called f-harmonic morphisms which pull back local harmonic functions to local f-harmonic functions. The author proves that a map between Riemannian manifolds is an f-harmonic morphism if and only if it is a horizontally weakly conformal f-harmonic map. This generalizes the well-known characterization for harmonic morphisms. Some properties and many examples as well as some non-existence of f-harmonic morphisms are given. The author also studies the f-harmonicity of conformal immersions.     

On the Heat Flow for Harmonic Maps with Potential

Let (M, g) and (N, h) be twoconnected Riemannian manifolds without boundary (M compact,N complete). Let G C (N): ifu: M N is a smooth map, we consider the functional E _G (u) = (1/2) _M [|du|²– 2G(u)]dV _M and we study its associated heat equation. Inthe compact case, we recover a version of the Eells–Sampson theorem,while for noncompact target manifold N, we establishsuitable hypotheses and ensure global existence and convergence atinfinity. In the second part of the paper, we study phenomena of blowingup solutions.     

Three-Dimensional Toric Morphisms with Anti-Nef Canonical Divisors

In this article, we classify projective toric birational morphisms from Gorenstein toric 3-folds onto the 3-dimensional affine space with relatively ample anti-canonical divisors.     

Semiregular Morphisms

If M and N are modules, the concept of semiregularity (and regularity) of hom(M,N) is defined and studied, and the connection with the relative direct injective- and direct projective-properties is established. The relationship of semiregularity to the Jacobson radical of hom(M,N), to the singular and cosingular ideals of hom(M,N), and to the notion of lying over or under a direct summand, is described, and the basic results in the module case are extended.

Smooth Morphisms of Module Schemes

Let :A to B be a homomorphism of finite-dimensional algebrasover an algebraically closed field and the induced morphism of the associated module schemesfor any integer c 1. We prove that if the induced functor modB mod A is hom-controlled then the restriction of ^(c) to anyconnected component of is a composition of a smooth morphism followed by an immersion.Some new results on the types of singularities in the orbitclosures of module schemes are also proved. 2000 Mathematical Subject Classification: 14B05, 14L30, 16G10.

A Gradient Estimate for Solutions of the Heat Equation II

The author obtains an estimate for the spatial gradient of solutions of the heat equation, subject to a homogeneous Neumann boundary condition, in terms of the gradient of the initial data. The proof is accomplished via the maximum principle; the main assumption is that the sufficiently smooth boundary be convex.     

广义函数空间上Drygas型函数方程的稳定性

在广义函数空间上重新定义了Drygas型函数方程的稳定性,然后利用高斯变换将广义函数空间上的函数方程稳定性转换为R~(n+1)空间上的光滑函数方程的稳定性.在求得正则化的函数方程稳定性后,利用广义函数与正则化函数间的关系给出在广义函数空间上的Drygas型函数方程的Hyers-Ulam-Rassias型稳定性.

We establish the concept of a quotient affine Poisson group, and study the reduced Poisson action of the quotient of an affine Poisson group G on the quotient of an affine Poisson-G-variety V. Journal of Algebra 321 : 2716 – 2736 .[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]] Giraldo and Merklen studied irreducible morphisms in the categories 𝒞(𝒜) and D^?(Λ), where 𝒞(𝒜) is the category of complexes over an abelian Krull–Schmidt category 𝒜 and D^?(Λ) is the derived category of the bounded above complexes of finite generate left modules, over an Artin algebra Λ. In this work, we continue the study of irreducible morphism having one finite irreducible truncation.
