Synthesis of 5-Substituted 1,3-Dimethylpyrazolo[4,3-<Emphasis Type="Italic">e</Emphasis>][1,2,4]triazines

Summary.  A novel method for the synthesis of a new series of 5-substituted 1,3-dimethyl pyrazolo[4,3-e][1,2,4]triazines is described. The new synthetic strategy is based on the classical Bischler 1,2,4-benzotriazine synthesis. This approach involves the preparation of 5-hydrazinopyrazole from 5-chloro-1,3-dimethyl-4-nitropyrazole followed by acylation and nitro group reduction to form the corresponding 4-amino-3-(acylhydrazino)pyrazoles. Intramolecular oxidative cyclization of the latter derivatives, using polyphosphoric acid, produced the respective target pyrazolotriazines.     

Synthesis of 3,4-dihydro-2H-imidazo-[2,1-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>][1,3,4]thiadiazines

Thiomethylene-active derivatives of N-imidazolylimines undergo intramolecular cyclization to give 3,4-dihydro-2H-imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazines. Synthesis and reductive reactions of 2,3-dioxo-2,3-dihydrobenzo[<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>]furo[2,3-<Emphasis Type="Italic">f</Emphasis>]-, -[2,3-<Emphasis Type="Italic">g</Emphasis>]-, and -[3,2-<Emphasis Type="Italic">e</Emphasis>]indoles

New photochromic nonsymmetric bis-spiropyran of the 2,3-dihydro-4-oxonaphtho[2,1-e][1,3]oxazine series

New nonsymmetric bis-spiropyran of the 2,3-dihydro-4-oxonaphtho[2,1-e][1,3]oxazine series was prepared. On the basis of the results of photochemical study and quantum-chemical calculations, it has been shown that both pyran cycles experience opening during irradiation of a bis-spiropyran solution with unfiltered light.     

Spiropyrans and spirooxazines. 3. Synthesis of photochromic 5′-(4,5-diphenyl-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)-spiro[indoline-2,3′-naphtho[2,3-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>]pyran]

The reaction of 2-hydroxy-3-(4,5-diphenyl-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)-1-naphthaldehyde with 1,2,3,3-tetramethyl-3H-indolium perchlorate afforded photochromic spiro[indoline-2,3′-naphthopyran] containing a 4,5-diphenyloxazole group in position 5′ of the naphthopyran fragment. The merocyanine form of the spiropyran gave complexes with bivalent heavy cations.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Alternative Routes to the Pyrazolo[4,3-<Emphasis Type="Italic">e</Emphasis>][1,2,4]triazolo-[1,5-<Emphasis Type="Italic">c</Emphasis>]pyrimidine System

Formimidic acid esters derived from 1-substituted 5-aminopyrazole-4-carbonitriles reacted with carboxylic acid hydrazides on heating to give 2,7-disubstituted pyrazolo[4,3-e][1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidine derivatives as a result of double heterocyclization. 2-[6-Alkyl-3-hetaryl-4-oxo-9,10-dihydro-4H,8H-chromeno-[8,7-<Emphasis Type="Italic">e</Emphasis>][1,3]oxazin-9-yl]acetic acids

The interaction has been studied of a series of substituted 3-hetaryl-7-hydroxychromones with amino acids and formaldehyde (reactants ratio 1: 1: 2 respectively). In the case of glycine and Het = 3-isoxazolyl the product of aminomethylation at position 8 of the chromone was obtained, and with other Het (including Het = 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl) 2-[6-alkyl-3-hetaryl-4-oxo-9,10-dihydro-4H,8H-chromeno[8,7-e][1,3]-oxazin-9-yl]acetic acids were formed. With β-alanine and Het = 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl the corresponding β-substituted propionic acid was synthesized, but proline did not participate in the reaction, leading to bis(6-ethyl-3-hetaryl-7-hydroxychromon-8-yl)methane. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 5, pp. 683–689, May, 2007.     

Reactions of 2,3-Dioxopyrrolo[2,1-<Emphasis Type="Italic">a</Emphasis>]isoquinolines with Active N-Nucleophiles

It is shown that 2,3-dioxopyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines react readily with aliphatic diamines and hydroxyamine with opening of the dioxopyrrole ring and formation of the corresponding bisenaminoketoamides and hydroxamic acids. Reaction with the thiosemicarbazide and hydrazides of aromatic acids proceeds without opening of the pyrrole ring at the ketone carbonyl. Pyridyl-substituted [1,3]Dithiolo-[4,5-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>][1,4]dithiine-2-thiones

We have obtained 5-(2-pyridyl)[1,3]dithiolo[4,5-b][1,4]dithiine-2-thione for the first time by cycloaddition of 2-ethynylpyridine to 4,5-dihydro-1,3-dithioltrithione (isotrithionedithiol). We have studied this thione, 5-(2-pyridyl)- and 5-(4-pyridyl)-5,6-dihydro[1,3]dithiolo[4,5-b][1,4]dithiine-2-thiones by mass spectroscopy and also IR, UV, ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectra. Photo- and thermochromic spiranes 32*. Synthesis and photochromism of 3-methyl-4-oxospiro(2,3-dihydronaphtho-[2,1-<Emphasis Type="Italic">e</Emphasis>]-1,3-oxazine-2,2'-[2H]-chromenes)

Spiropyrans of the naphthoxazinone series have been obtained containing various substituents in the [2H]-chromene portion of the molecule. The spatial structure of a spiropyran containing ortho-positioned hydroxyl and formyl groups was established by X-ray structural analysis. The photochromic properties of the obtained compounds have been studied. For Communication 31 see [1]. Regioselective synthesis of 4-aryl-3,4-dihydro-1,3,5-triazino[2,1-<Emphasis Type="Italic">a</Emphasis>]isoindol-2-ones

The condensation of binucleophilic 3-amino-1-arylimino-1H-isoindoles with bifunctional 1-chloro-benzylisocyanates occurs regioselectively resulting in 3,4-dihydro-1,3,5-triazino[2,1-a]isoindol-2-one derivatives. The structures of the synthesized compounds were unambiguously established by NOE experiments. Correspondence: Olha V.
