We consider quantum Hamiltonians of the form H(t)=H+V(t) where the spectrum of H is semibounded and discrete, and the eigenvalues behave as E n n α , with 0<α<1. In particular, the gaps between successive eigenvalues decay as n α−1. V(t) is supposed to be periodic, bounded, continuously differentiable in the strong sense and such that the matrix entries with respect to the spectral decomposition of H obey the estimate ‖V(t) m,n ‖≤ε|mn|p max {m,n}−2γ for mn, where ε>0, p≥1 and γ=(1−α)/2. We show that the energy diffusion exponent can be arbitrarily small provided p is sufficiently large and ε is small enough. More precisely, for any initial condition Ψ∈Dom(H 1/2), the diffusion of energy is bounded from above as 〈H Ψ (t)=O(t σ ), where . As an application we consider the Hamiltonian H(t)=|p| α +ε v(θ,t) on L 2(S 1,dθ) which was discussed earlier in the literature by Howland.  相似文献

A static, asymptotically flat, spherically symmetric solutions is investigated in f(R) theories of gravity for a charged black hole. We have studied the weak field limit of f(R) gravity for the some f(R) model such as f(R)=R+ε h(R). In particular, we consider the case lim  R→0 h(R)/h′(R)→0 and find the space time metric for f(R)=R+[(m4)/(R)]f(R)=R+{\mu^{4}\over R} and f(R)=R 1+ε theories of gravity far away a charged mass point.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider generalized holographic and Ricci dark energy models where the energy densities are given as ρ R =3c 2 M pl2 Rf(H 2/R) and ρ h =3c 2 M pl2 H 2 g(R/H 2), respectively; here f(x), g(y) are positive defined functions of the dimensionless variables H 2/R or R/H 2. It is interesting that holographic and Ricci dark energy densities are recovered or recovered interchangeably when the function f(x)=g(y)≡1 or f(x)=Id and g(y)=Id are taken, respectively (for example f(x),g(x)=1−ε(1−x), ε=0or1, respectively). Also, when f(x)≡xg(1/x) is taken, the Ricci and holographic dark energy models are equivalent to a generalized one. When the simple forms f(x)=1−ε(1−x) and g(y)=1−η(1−y) are taken as examples, by using current cosmic observational data, generalized dark energy models are considered. As expected, in these cases, the results show that they are equivalent (ε=1−η=1.312), and Ricci-like dark energy is more favored relative to the holographic one where the Hubble horizon was taken as an IR cut-off. And the suggested combination of holographic and Ricci dark energy components would be 1.312R−0.312H 2, which is 2.312H2+1.312[(H)\dot]2.312H^{2}+1.312\dot{H} in terms of H 2 and [(H)\dot]\dot{H} .  相似文献

Formation of 1D Liesegang patterns was studied numerically in precipitation and reversible complex formation of precipitate scenarios in an electric field. The Ostwald’s supersaturation model reported by Buki, Kárpáti-Smidróczki and Zrínyi (BKZ model) was extended further. In the presence of an electric field the position of the first and the last bands (X n) measured from the junction point of the outer and the inner electrolytes can be described by the functionX n =a 1τ n 1/2 +a 2τn +a 3, where τn is the time elapsed until the nth band formation,a 1,a 2 anda 3 are constants. The variation of the total number of bands with different electric field strengths (ε) has a maximum. For higher ε one can observe a moving precipitation zone that becomes wider due to precipitation and reversible complex formation.  相似文献

We consider a renewal process τ = {τ 0, τ 1,...} on the integers, where the law of τ i τ i-1 has a power-like tail P(τ i τ i-1 = n) = n −(α+1) L(n) with α ≥ 0 and L(·) slowly varying. We then assign a random, n-dependent reward/penalty to the occurrence of the event that the site n belongs to τ. In such generality this class of problems includes, among others, (1 + d)-dimensional models of pinning of directed polymers on a one-dimensional random defect, (1 + 1)-dimensional models of wetting of disordered substrates, and the Poland-Scheraga model of DNA denaturation. By varying the average of the reward, the system undergoes a transition from a localized phase, where τ occupies a finite fraction of to a delocalized phase, where the density of τ vanishes. In absence of disorder (i.e., if the reward is independent of n), the transition is of first order for α > 1 and of higher order for α < 1. Moreover, for α ranging from 1 to 0, the transition ranges from first to infinite order. Presence of even an arbitrarily small (but extensive) amount of disorder is known to modify the order of transition as soon as α > 1/2 [11]. In physical terms, disorder is relevant in this situation, in agreement with the heuristic Harris criterion. On the other hand, for 0 < α < 1/2 it has been proven recently by K. Alexander [2] that, if disorder is sufficiently weak, critical exponents are not modified by randomness: disorder is irrelevant. In this work, generalizing techniques which in the framework of spin glasses are known as replica coupling and interpolation, we give a new, simpler proof of the main results of [2]. Moreover, we (partially) justify a small-disorder expansion worked out in [9] for α < 1/2, showing that it provides a free energy upper bound which improves the annealed one.  相似文献

We revisit the determination of α S (m τ 2) using a fit to inclusive τ hadronic spectral moments in light of (1) the recent calculation of the fourth-order perturbative coefficient K 4 in the expansion of the Adler function, (2) new precision measurements from BABAR of e+e annihilation cross sections, which decrease the uncertainty in the separation of vector and axial-vector spectral functions, and (3) improved results from BABAR and Belle on τ branching fractions involving kaons. We estimate that the fourth-order perturbative prediction reduces the theoretical uncertainty, introduced by the truncation of the series, by 20% with respect to earlier determinations. We discuss to some detail the perturbative prediction of two different methods: fixed-order perturbation theory (FOPT) and contour-improved perturbative theory (CIPT). The corresponding theoretical uncertainties are studied at the τ and Z mass scales. The CIPT method is found to be more stable with respect to the missing higher order contributions and to renormalization scale variations. It is also shown that FOPT suffers from convergence problems along the complex integration contour. Nonperturbative contributions extracted from the most inclusive fit are small, in agreement with earlier determinations. Systematic effects from quark-hadron duality violation are estimated with simple models and found to be within the quoted systematic errors. The fit based on CIPT gives α S (m τ 2)=0.344±0.005±0.007, where the first error is experimental and the second theoretical. After evolution to M Z we obtain α S (M Z 2)=0.1212±0.0005±0.0008±0.0005, where the errors are respectively experimental, theoretical and due to the evolution. The result is in agreement with the corresponding N3LO value derived from essentially the Z width in the global electroweak fit. The α S (M Z 2) determination from τ decays is the most precise one to date.  相似文献

We examine the properties of an atomic system consisting of a muon and antimuon. Expressions are derived for the probability of decay and the hyperfine splitting of the lower levels with allowance for the leading radiative corrections, which are of relative order α. The results for the lifetimes and the ground-state energy are τ(13 S 1)=1.7907(8)×10−12 s, τ(11 S 0)=0.59547(33)×10−12 s, and E hfs (1s)=4.23284(35)×107 MHz. The relative probabilities for the various decay channels are calculated; in particular, for the 1 3 S 1 level it is found that Γ (μμeeγ)/Γ(μμee)≈15%. Finally, possible applications are discussed. Quantitative parameters characterizing transient processes of mastering and forgetting of photostimulation (PST) rhythms for a nonstationary electroencephalogram (EEG) are developed on the basis of a continuous wavelet transformation. Nonstationarity factor K nst(μ), as well as rhythm mastering K M (μ) and confinement K C (μ) factors are calculated for various spectral ranges μ. Photoflash mastering time τ M = τ S + τ I , which is the sum of latent silence period τ S after PST actuation and the rhythm increasing period τ I is calculated. In the case of PST, the EEG rhythm retardation time τ R relative to the beginning of PST is calculated. Rhythm forgetting time τ F = τ P + τ D after PST actuation is the sum of the preservation time τ P of the corresponding rhythm over a certain time interval and its decay period τ D . The lag time τ L of the EEG signal relative to the PST signal after its removal is determined. The proposed method is used in quantitative analysis and classification of transient processes characterizing the properties of the central nervous system. Possible applications of the method in analysis of various nonstationary signals in physics are discussed.  相似文献

We analyze the role of the delay time τ d and the fraction ε of recycled noise on the enhancement of the mean first-passage time (MFPT) in a metastable system with recycled noise, generated by the superposition of a primary Gaussian noise source with a second component of constant delay. The results indicate that MFPT as a function of the noise intensity D shows either a non-monotonic behavior with a maximum or a divergent behavior, which is the identifying characteristic of the noise enhanced stability (NES) phenomenon. The increasing of τ d or ε strengthens the NES effect for ε > 0. However, for ε < 0, there is a critical value of τ d , below which we observe an increase of MFPT whose maximum goes to infinity, and above which the divergent behavior tends to disappear and MFPT versus D shows a transition from one peak to two peaks and eventually one peak as τ d or |ε| increases. Moreover, we also discuss the effect of different initial conditions. These observations illustrate that the noise recycling may be used as an effective scheme for controlling the NES effect.  相似文献

Summary Within the generalized equilibrium statistics recently introduced by Tsallis (p n ∝[1−β(q−-1) εn ]1/(q−)), we calculate the thermal dependence of the specific heat corresponding to a harmonic-oscillator-like spectrum, namely ε n ω(n−α) (∀ω>0,n=0,1,2,...). The influences ofq and α are exhibited. Physically inaccessible and/or thermally frozen gaps are obtained in the low-temperature region, and, forq>1, oscillations are observed in the high-temperature region. The inclusive production cross sections of the strange vector mesons K*0, K̄*0, and φ have been measured in interactions of 920 GeV protons with C, Ti, and W targets with the HERA-B detector at the HERA storage ring. Differential cross sections as a function of rapidity and transverse momentum have been measured in the central rapidity region and for transverse momenta up to pT = 3.5 GeV/c. The atomic number dependence is parametrised as σpApN*Aα, where σpN is the proton–nucleon cross section. Within the phase space accessible, α(K*0)=0.86±0.03, α(K̄*0)=0.87±0.03, and α(φ)=0.96±0.02. The total proton–nucleon cross sections, determined by extrapolating the differential measurements to full phase space, are σpN→K*0=(5.06±0.54) mb, σpN→K̄*0=(4.02±0.45) mb, and σpN→φ=(1.17±0.11) mb. For all resonances the Cronin effect is observed; compared to the measurements of Cronin et al. for K± mesons, the measured values of α for φ mesons coincide with those of K+ mesons for all transverse momenta, while the enhancement for K*0/K̄*0 mesons is smaller.  相似文献

The spectral properties of the Schr?dinger operator T(t)=−d 2/dx 2+q(x,t) in L 2(ℝ) are studied, where the potential q is defined by q=p(x+t), x>0, and q=p(x), x<0; p is a 1-periodic potential and t∈ℝ is the dislocation parameter. For each t the absolutely continuous spectrum σ ac (T(t))=σ ac (T(0)) consists of intervals, which are separated by the gaps γ n (T(t))=γ n (T(0))=(α n n +), n≥1. We prove: in each gap γ n ≠?, n≥ 1 there exist two unique “states” (an eigenvalue and a resonance) λ n ±(t) of the dislocation operator, such that λ n ±(0)=α n ± and the point λ n ±(t) runs clockwise around the gap γ n changing the energy sheet whenever it hits α n ±, making n/2 complete revolutions in unit time. On the first sheet λ n ±(t) is an eigenvalue and on the second sheet λ n ±(t) is a resonance. In general, these motions are not monotonic. There exists a unique state λ0(t) in the basic gap γ0(T(t))=γ0(T(0))=(−∞ ,α0 +). The asymptotics of λ n ±(t) as n→∞ is determined. Received: 5 April 1999 / Accepted: 3 March 2000  相似文献

The electric quadrupole moments of the 9/2 and 21/2 isomeric states of 173Ta at 165.8 keV and 1713.2 keV, respectively, were measured as Q(9/2)=2.92(15) b and Q(21/2)=6.23(18) b for the first time using the TDPAD technique. A 66 MeV pulsed 12C ion beam from the 15UD pelletron accelerator facility of the Nuclear Science Centre at New Delhi was used in the reaction 165Ho(12C, 4nγ)173Ta. The experimental values of equilibrium deformations β2(9/2)=0.251(7) and β2(21/2)=0.391(7) were extracted. Using heuristic arguments based on the trace formulas, we analytically calculate the semiclassical two-point correlation form factor for a family of rectangular billiards with a barrier of height irrational with respect to the side of the billiard and located at any rational position p/q from the side. To do this, we first obtain the asymptotic density of lengths for each family of periodic orbits by a Siegel-Veech formula. The result obtained for these pseudo-integrable, non-Veech billiards is different but not far from the value of 1/2 expected for semi-Poisson statistics and from values of obtained previously in the case of Veech billiards.  相似文献

Using the iterative solution to the Boltzmann equation for electrons in d.c. electric and magnetic fields, an expression for the resistivity tensor can be obtained in the form of an infinite series. This series can be approximated by retaining only the first two terms. In the cases where relaxation times exist — in the sense that the collision term in the Boltzmann equation can be written asg(k)/τ(k), whereτ(k) is the relaxation time, andf (k) = f E(ɛ k) + [∂f E(εk)/∂εg(k) the distribution function for electrons with wavevectork — this approximation is exact. For polyvalent metals in the one-OPW approximation, the complete galvanomagnetic tensor can be obtained using this approximation and the result differs from that obtained by using a time of relaxation given by an expression suggested byZiman. A calculation for a simple model Fermi surface, with screened Coulomb scattering, is carried out and the results compared with those of the relaxation time approximation.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the asymptotic behavior solutions of stochastic differential equations dy t =dω t −∇Γ(y t ) dt, y 0=0 and d=2. Γ is a 2 &\times; 2 skew-symmetric matrix associated to a shear flow characterized by an infinite number of spatial scales Γ12=−Γ21=h(x 1), with h(x 1)=∑ n =0 γ n h n (x 1/R n ), where h n are smooth functions of period 1, h n (0)=0, γ n and R n grow exponentially fast with n. We can show that y t has an anomalous fast behavior (?[|y t |2]∼t 1+ν with ν > 0) and obtain quantitative estimates on the anomaly using and developing the tools of homogenization.
