Propriété de stabilité de la fonction extrémale relative

Nous donnons une caractérisation des domaines DX pour lesquels la fonction extrémale relative ^*(,E,D) a la propriété de stabilité pour tout ED, i.e. lim _k^*(,E,D _k )=^*(,E,D), ED. Ensuite, nous étudions la relation entre cette propriété et les enveloppes pluripolaires. Nous concluons par quelques remarques sur la propriété de stabilité lim _k^*(,E _k ,D)=^*(,E,D).     

A propos de la propriété de Bergman

In a recent preprint, George M. Bergman has investigated the following property:for any generating set X of the group G there exists an integer n such that any element of G is a product of n elements of $\text{X}\cup {\text{X}}^{\mathrm{?1}}$. We will say in this case that G has the Bergman property.We have solved some of the questions asked in the above mentioned preprint and have found it suitable to investigate this property in a more general context, in particular for rings (essentially Boolean rings). Réduction de la conjecture de Hodge à une continuité

The obstructions, for a closed differential form on a projective manifold, to be cohomologous to an algebraic cycle with complex coefficients, are computed in terms of the Chow transformation. They can be expressed as an orthogonality condition, on the manifold itself, with families parametrized by the Grassmannian of currents which are completely determined. A parameter does not yield any obstruction if the associated projective subspace meets properly the manifold. The embedding of the manifold is degenerated, in view of applying the characterization of currents associated to algebraic cycles by the Chow transformation. We study the set of periods obtained when the parameter varies, in particular, we prove a continuity result, thanks to the constructibility of the Bernstein polynomial. When the cohomology class is rational, we conjecture that this set is connected.     

Interpolation transfinie sur le triangle,le tétraèdre et le pentaèdre. Application à la création de maillages et à la condition de Dirichlet

The Lagrange's interpolation L(ν) of a function ν on a polyhedron K is defined from the values of the function at points p_i of the boundary Γ(K) and ℒ(ν)(p_i) = ν(p_i) at these points. The transfinite interpolation is defined in the same way, but on the whole boundary Γ(K). Three new transfinite interpolations of degree one on the triangle, tetrahedron, and pentahedron are added to the Gordon and Hall's transfinite interpolations on the quadrangle and hexaedron. All these interpolations leave the polynomials of degree ≤1 invariant. The applications to the generation of regular meshes and the possibility of exactly taking into account the Dirichlet boundary condition, show the usefulness of these transfinite interpolations.     

Sur la régularité de la fonction croissance d'une variété riemannienne

Résumé On étudie la différentiabilité de la fonction croissance d'une variété riemannienne complète. En général, elle a la même régularité qu'une fonction concave: la dérivée peut avoir des sauts pour lesquels on donne une formule. Dans le cas analytique réel, la fonction croissance est de classeC ¹. Un exemple montre qu'elle n'est pas nécessairementC ². A titre d'application, nous construisons, pour toute variété ouverte paracompacteM et toute fonction croissantev de classeC ¹, une métrique continue de croissance égale àv et une métrique de classeC surM de croissance proche dev en topologieC ¹-fine.
