We consider the spaces A p ( $\mathbb{T}^m $ ) of functions f on the m-dimensional torus $\mathbb{T}^m $ such that the sequence of Fourier coefficients $\hat f = \{ \hat f(k),k \in \mathbb{Z}^m \} $ belongs to l p (? m ), 1 ≤ p < 2. The norm on A p ( $\mathbb{T}^m $ ) is defined by $\left\| f \right\|_{A_p (\mathbb{T}^m )} = \left\| {\hat f} \right\|_{l^p (\mathbb{Z}^m )} $ . We study the rate of growth of the norms $\left\| {e^{i\lambda \phi } } \right\|_{A_p (\mathbb{T}^m )} $ as |λ| → ∞, λ ∈ ?, for C 1-smooth real functions φ on $\mathbb{T}^m $ (the one-dimensional case was investigated by the author earlier). The lower estimates that we obtain have direct analogs for the spaces A p (? m ).  相似文献

As an appli cation, it is proved thatf?L H p a ,dv λ) implies $h\tfrac{{|a|}}{a} + |\beta |(\xi )D_2^a D_z^\beta f \in L^p (\Omega _a ,dv_\lambda ),1 \leqslant p< \infty $ , for any multi-indexa=(α1,?,α n and ß = (ß1, —ß). We call this set the exceptional set for f. Under certain conditions on the functions g 1, g 2, we prove that the system of functions $g_{k,m} (x,\alpha^(n), h^(n)) (k,m \in \bar {\mathbb{Z}})$ , where $\alpha ^{\left( n \right)} ,h^{\left( n \right)} \in \mathbb{R}_ + ^2 $ are arbitrary infinitesimal sequences, is complete in the space C $\mathbb{R}^2 $ of uniformly continuous bounded functions f equipped with the norm $||f|| = \mathop {\sup }\limits_{x \in \mathbb{R}^2 } |f(x)|$ . Starting with the functions g k,m , it is possible to construct a method for uniform approximating in $\mathbb{R}^2 $ any continuous function of bounded variation in the sense of Hardy. An error estimate is derived in terms of the second order moduli of continuity. Based on the obtained results, we discuss in detail the accuracy of uniform approximation of functions of several variables by linear functions. The error estimates are derived by using second order moduli of continuity. We pay a particular attention to sharpness of constants. Bibliography: 8 titles.  相似文献

We study the following problems. (1) When is the intersection $\mathfrak{X}_\alpha \left( {\mathbb{R}^n } \right) \cap L^p \left( {\mathbb{R}^n } \right)$ dense in Lp(?n)? For a given homogeneous elliptic partial differential operator L with constant complex coefficients, the Banach space V of distributions in $\mathbb{R}^N $ and a compact set X in $\mathbb{R}^N $ , we study the quantity $\lambda _{V,L} (X)$ equal to the distance in V from the class of functions f 0 satisfying the equation Lf 0 = 1 in a neighborhood of X (depending on f 0) to the solution space of the equation Lf= 0 in the neighborhoods of X. For V=BC m , we obtain upper and lower bounds for $\lambda _{V,L} (X)$ in terms of the metric properties of the set X, which allows us to obtain estimates for $\lambda _{V,L} (X)$ for a wide class of spaces V.  相似文献

Accuracy of the above asymptotic relations is verified with extensive numerical and simulation experiments. Let ${\mathcal{M}_g }$ be the moduli space of smooth complex projective curves of genus g. Here we prove that the subset of ${\mathcal{M}_g }$ formed by all curves for which some Brill-Noether locus has dimension larger than the expected one has codimension at least two in ${\mathcal{M}_g }$ . As an application we show that if ${X \in \mathcal{M}_g }$ is defined over $\mathbb{R}$ then there exists a low degree pencil ${u:X \to \mathbb{P}^1 }$ defined over $\mathbb{R}.$   相似文献

The characteristic rank of a vector bundle ξ over a finite connected CW-complex X is by definition the largest integer ${k, 0 \leq k \leq \mathrm{dim}(X)}$ , such that every cohomology class ${x \in H^{j}(X;\mathbb{Z}_2), 0 \leq j \leq k}$ , is a polynomial in the Stiefel–Whitney classes w i (ξ). This paper deals with the very interesting problem about the influence of piecewise smooth boundary conditions on the distribution of the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian inR 3. The asymptotic expansion of the trace of the wave operator $\widehat\mu (t) = \sum\limits_{\upsilon = 1}^\infty {\exp \left( { - it\mu _\upsilon ^{1/2} } \right)} $ for small ?t? and $i = \sqrt { - 1} $ , where $\{ \mu _\nu \} _{\nu = 1}^\infty $ are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian $ - \nabla ^2 = - \sum\limits_{k = 1}^3 {\left( {\frac{\partial }{{\partial x^k }}} \right)} ^2 $ in the (x 1,x 2,x 3), is studied for an annular vibrating membrane Ω inR 3 together with its smooth inner boundary surfaceS 1 and its smooth outer boundary surfaceS 2. In the present paper, a finite number of Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary conditions on the piecewise smooth componentsS * i(i=1, …,m) ofS 1 and on the piecewise smooth componentsS * i(i=m+1, …,n) ofS 2 such that $S_1 = \bigcup\limits_{i = 1}^m {S_i^* } $ and $S_2 = \bigcup\limits_{i = m + 1}^n {S_i^* } $ are considered. The basic problem is to extract information on the geometry of the annular vibrating membrane ω from complete knowledge of its eigenvalues by analyzing the asymptotic expansions of the spectral function $\widehat\mu (t)$ for small ?t?.  相似文献
