Boundary value problems of discrete generalized Emden-Fowler equation

By using the critical point theory, some sufficient conditions for the existence of the solutions to the boundary value problems of a discrete generalized Emden-Fowler equation are obtained. In a special case, a sharp condition is obtained for the existence of the boundary value problems of the above equation. For a linear case, by the discrete variational theory, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence, uniqueness and multiplicity of the solutions is also established.     

GENERALIZED SOLUTION OF SINGULARLY PERTURBED PROBLEMS FOR REACTION DIFFUSION EQUATIONS

The singularly perturbed initial boundary value problem for reaction diffusion equation is considered. Under suitable conditions the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic behavior of the generalized solution for the problems are studied.

Nonlinear ecological species group singularly perturbed initial boundary value problems for reaction diffusion systems are considered. Under suitable conditions, using the theory of differential inequalities, the existence and asymptotic behavior of solution to initial boundary value problems are studied.     

奇异微分方程的广义Sturm--Liouville边值问题正解的存在性

By employing the fixed point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type, we investigate the existence of positive solutions of generalized Sturm-Liouville boundary value problems for a nonlinear singular differential equation with a parameter. Some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions are established. In the last section, an example is presented to illustrate the applications of our main results.     

SUPERCONVERGENCE OF GENERALIZED DIFFERENCE METHOD FOR ELLIPTIC BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM

Some superconvergence results of generalized difference solution for elliptic boundary value problem are given. It is shown that optimal points of the stresses for generalized difference method are the same as that for finite element method.     

THE NONLINEAR SINGULARLY PERTURBED PROBLEMS FOR REACTION DIFFUSION EQUATIONS WITH BOUNDARY PERTURBATION

The nonlinear singularly perturbed problems for reaction diffusion equations with boundary perturbation are considered. Under suitable conditions, using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems is studied.     

Oscillation Results for BVPs of Even Order Nonlinear Neutral Partial Differential Equations

A class of boundary value problems (BVPs) of even order neutral partial functional differential equations with continuous distribution delay and nonlinear diffusion term are studied. By applying the integral average and Riccati’s method, the high-dimensional oscillatory problems are changed into the one-dimensional ones, and some new sufficient conditions are obtained for oscillation of all solutions of such boundary value problems under first boundary condition. The results generalize and improve some results of the latest literature.     

A CLASS OF NONLINEAR PREDATOR-PREY SINGULARLY PERTURBED ROBIN PROBLEMS FOR REACTION DIFFUSION SYSTEM

A class of nonlinear predator-prey singularly perturbed Robin problems for reaction diffusion systems are considered. Under suitable conditions, using the theory of differential inequalities the existence and asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems are studied.     

The setting of boundary conditions for boundary value problems of hyperbolic-elliptic coupled systems

This paper is devoted to the study of the proper setting of the boundary conditions for the boundary value problems of the hyperbolic-elliptic coupled systems of first order. The wellposedness of the corresponding boundary value problems is also established. The Lopatinski conditions for the boundary value problems of the elliptic systems is then extended to the case for hyperbolic-elliptic coupled systems. The result in this paper can be applied to the Euler system in fluid dynamics, especially to give wellposed boundary value problems describing subsonic flow.

Optimal value functions of generalized semi-infinite min-max programming on a noncompact set

In this paper, we study optimal value functions of generalized semi-infinite min-max programming problems on a noncompact set. Directional derivatives and subd-ifferential characterizations of optimal value functions are given. Using these properties, we establish first order optimality conditions for unconstrained generalized semi-infinite programming problems.
