The transmission characteristics of a metallic slit with a bar are investigated by using the two-dimensional finite difference time-domain method. It is found that the introduction of a bar enriches the transmission spectrum. As the bar locates at the center of the electric (magnetic) field antinodes, the transmission peaks have longer (shorter) wavelengths in comparison with the corresponding resonant peaks of the single slit. It is true for both the fundamental mode and second order mode. The proposed mode in a previous paper [Y. Wang, Y. Wang, Y. Zhang, S. Liu, Opt. Express 17 (2009) 5014] can well explain the above phenomenon. The increase in ability to accumulate charge or decrease in the length of current flow dominates when the bar lies at different positions, which results in a redshift or blueshift of transmission peaks. Moreover, it is also found that the transmission spectrum of the studied structure can be tuned by adjusting the length and width of the bar. It is expected that our results may be utilized to control the electromagnetic wave in subwavelength optics.  相似文献

A method to obtain large transmission of light through a nano-metallic slit bordered by nano trenches is demonstrated theoretically. The model is based on the composite diffraction of evanescent waves (CDEW) theory and utilizes a single trench design to effectively convert free-space light into surface plasma waves (SPW). The effectiveness is confirmed by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The SPW loss due to scattering by the trench is also analyzed. It is found that when the width of the trench is slightly larger than λspp/2, the SPW becomes localized and resonates at the bottom edges performing as a dipole-like radiation source. At this time, the propagating SPW suffers from high scattering loss. Trenches can be used to enhance the transmission of a nano-scaled slit while simultaneously preserving high conversion efficiency and low scattering loss. A nano-scaled slit bordered by 10 pairs of trenches can be enhanced by a factor as high as 16. It is determined that a device designed to have a large clear aperture of 15 μm would have an advantage in terms of alignment.  相似文献

The near- and far-field properties of a large-scale silver plate with a slit array are studied by applying the FDTD method. The far region scattering properties with different incident angles are also discussed. We find out that the silver plate with a suitable placed narrow slit array can excite the enhanced optical transmission (EOT) by the excitation of the surface plasmon polarition (SPP) and the Fabry-Perot resonance, and the cutoff angle is much larger than the ordinary LEDs. These unique properties suggest possible applications to the light-transparent metal contact.  相似文献

The transmission and diffraction of waves by an aperture in an impedance screen is investigated. The Senior's solution of the scattering problem of waves by an impedance half-plane is transformed into a physical optics type integral. The obtained method is applied to the transmission problem of waves by a slit in an impedance screen. 为满足声源辨识中对合成冲击声的迫切需求,建立了球-板撞击的时域模型,提出一种时域快速求解方法,并进行了实验验证.首先给出一种将时域有限差分法(FDTD)和模态展开法(MEM)相结合的时域混合方法,求解板的振动方程,并解决了混合方法中MEM的模态截断和初值问题,及两种方法中阻尼的一致性问题;随后,给出了简支矩形板的冲击声计算结果,通过与FDTD方法的运算量进行对比,验证了混合方法的高效性;最后,针对自由边界下的L形板进行了实验验证.结果表明,与传统FDTD方法相比,时域混合方法在保证合成冲击声精度的前提下可将计算效率提高100至1200倍。   相似文献

The efficient and accurate synthesis of physical parameter-controllable impact sounds is essential for sound source identification. In this study, an impact sound synthesis model of a cylinder is proposed based on discrete state space(DSS) method and modal extension method(MEM). This model is comprised of the whole three processes of the physical interaction, i.e., the Hertz contact process, the transient structural response process, and the sound radiation process. Firstly,the modal expanded DSS equations of the contact system are constructed and the transient structural response of the cylinder is obtained. Then the impact sound of the cylinder is acquired using improved discrete Raleigh integral. Finally, the proposed model is verified by comparing with existing models. The results show that the proposed impact sound synthesis model is more accurate and efficient than the existing methods and easy to be extended to the impact sound synthesis of other structures.  相似文献

There has been an increasing technological interest on magnetic thin films containing antidot arrays of hexagonal or square symmetry. Part of this interest is related to the possibility of domain formation and pinning at the antidots boundaries. In this paper, we develop an accurate method for the simulation of the magnetic moments distribution for such arrays. The method concentrates the calculations on the immediate vicinity of each antidot. For each antidot distribution (square or hexagonal) a suitable system of coordinates is defined to exploit the shape of the unit-cells of the overall nanostructure. The Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert-Brown equations that govern the distribution of moments are rewritten in terms of these coordinates. The moments orientation is calculated as a function of time until equilibrium is reached, in a Cartesian grid defined for these new coordinate systems. A conformal transformation is applied to insert the moment vectors into the actual unit-cell. The resulting vector maps display quite clearly regions of different moment orientation around the antidots, which can be associated with nanoscale domains. Strong resonant transmission of microwave radiation through a very narrow (much less than the radiation wavelength) metallic slit is recorded. The results show that a set of resonant self-coupled surface plasmons are excited within the small gap, giving a Fabry-Pérot-like behavior in accord with analytical results published earlier [Y. Takakura, Phys. Rev. Lett. 86, 5601 (2001)]. The metallic slit, formed by two thick metal plates spaced apart by tens of microns, is inserted in a wavelength-sized aperture. On resonance the transmissivity through the metal slit is more than 2 orders of magnitude greater than the radiation impinging on the slit area.  相似文献

The effect of the gas molecule-molecule interaction and the gas-surface scattering on the gas flow through a slit into a vacuum are investigated in a wide range of the gas rarefaction using the direct simulation Monte Carlo method. To study the gas molecule-molecule interaction influence, we used the variable hard sphere and variable soft sphere models defined for an inverse-power-law potential and the generalized hard sphere model defined for the 12–6 Lennard-Jones potential. The Maxwell, Cercignani-Lampis, and Epstein models were used to simulate the gas-surface scattering. This study demonstrates that the gas molecule-molecule interaction can have a significant influence on the rarefied gas flow through a slit, while the influence of the gas-surface scattering is negligibly small. The presented numerical results are in agreement with the corresponding experimental ones. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

A new method to generate a quasi-one dimensional (1D) Bessel-like beam whose non-diffracting length extends to macroscopic scale is proposed by utilizing highly directive transmission through a sub-wavelength single slit embedded in periodic metallic grooves. We employed finite-difference time-domain methods for full-vectorial diffraction and spectral analysis. In optimal conditions, unique quasi-1D Bessel-like beams were generated in transmission for the incident p-polarized plane wave such that highly asymmetric far-field distribution was achieved; Bessel-like beam along the slit axis and a flat-top super-Gaussian beam along the other perpendicular axis. Detailed parametric studies for the proposed structure are reported in terms of the operating spectral range and a general window of optimal conditions.  相似文献

We investigate the fair quantum blind signature scheme proposed by Wang and Wen [Wang T Y and Wen Q Y 2010 Chin.Phys.B 19 060307],which uses the fundamental properties of quantum mechanics and the availability of a trusted arbitrator.However,in this paper,we find that the protocol cannot satisfy the property of non-forgeability even under the condition that the trusted arbitrator is totally credible.Moreover,a simple feasible suggestion for improving the protocol is proposed.  相似文献

A theoretical study is performed of the anomalous Hall effect in granular alloys with giant magnetoresistance. The calculation is carried out within the Kubo formalism and the Green’s function method. The mechanism of asymmetric scattering of the spin-polarized current carriers is considered with allowance for a size effect associated with scattering not only by one grain, but also with more complicated processes of transport among two and three grains. It is shown that scattering of conduction electrons by the interfaces of the grains and the matrix has a substantial effect on the magnitude of the anomalous Hall effect and determines its sign. In general, correlation between the quantities ρ H and ρ 2 is absent, where ρ H is the Hall resistivity and ρ is the total resistivity of the granular alloy. However, numerical calculation shows that for certain values of the model parameters ρ Hρ 3.8 and for these same parameter values the amplitude of the giant magnetoresistance reaches 40%, which is found to be in quantitative agreement with the experimental data for Co20Ag80 alloys [P. Xiong, G. Xiao, J. Q. Wang et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 69, 3220 (1992)]. It is also shown that increasing the resistivity of the matrix leads to a significant growth in the anomalous Hall effect, and more substantial growth for alloys with small grain size, which is in good agreement with experiment [A. We present finite difference time domain simulations of the enhancement of the optical transmission through a single subwavelength slit in a thick metal film caused by resonances of the electromagnetic fields in and near the slit. These can be enhanced by including a periodic modulation on the in-coupling surface, and the dependence of the transmission on the grating structural parameters is analysed in detail.  相似文献

A simple method to determine the thermal focal length of LD end-pumped solid-state laser with stable resonator is presented. The M2 factor describing the quality of the beam can be obtained by scanning a slit through the multi-mode Gaussian beam field. The waist width of the beam and the corresponding TEM00 under the same parameters of laser are then deduced through the law of multi-mode Gaussian beam propagation. Based on the standard matrix theory of stable resonator, the thermal focal length of the gain medium can be easily achieved. To show the application of this approach, the thermal focal length of an LD pumped Nd:YVO4 laser is measured and the experimental results are in agreement with the theoretical prediction.  相似文献

介绍了掠入射X射线散射法(GXRS法)测量超光滑表面的原理及基于商业用X射线衍射仪改造而成的实验装置。以3片不同粗糙度的硅片作为实验样品,分别应用一级矢量微扰理论和改进的Harvey-Shack理论对其散射分布进行处理,所得结果与原子力显微镜测量结果基本相符。分析了探测器接收狭缝的宽度和入射光发散度对实验结果的影响,随着探测器接收狭缝宽度和入射光发散度的减小,测量误差呈指数迅速减小。在所测量的空间频率范围内,功率谱密度(PSD)函数的误差随频率的增加而减小。  相似文献

Abstract

Multiple scattering of incoherent polarized light propagating through a random medium comprised of spheroidal Rayleigh particles is studied using Monte Carlo simulations. Two approaches are taken for the implementation of the simulation: the first uses individual realizations of particle orientation and the second, an accelerated method, averages over the particle orientation. These different methods produce results that are indistinguishable within statistical errors. The depolarization of light is examined in both transmission and backscatter for media comprised of spheroids of different polarizability ratios. In media containing spheroidal particles the depolarization is greater than that for spherical particles. Media containing prolate spheroids are more depolarizing than media comprising oblate particles of the same polarizability ratio. The extra depolarization due to asphericity is much less pronounced in the multiple scattering regime than for single scattering.  相似文献

In the measurement of G with the angular acceleration method,the improved correlation method developed by Wu et al.(Wu W H,Tian Y,Luo J,Shao C G,Xu J H and Wang DH 2016 Rev.Sci.Instrum.87 094501) is used to accurately estimate the amplitudes of the prominent harmonic components of the gravitational background signal with time-varying frequency.Except the quadratic slow drift,the angular frequency of the gravitational background signal also includes a cosine oscillation coming from the useful angular acceleration signal,which leads to a deviation from the estimated amplitude.We calculate the correction of the cosine oscillation to the amplitude estimation.The result shows that the corrections of the cosine oscillation to the amplitudes of the fundamental frequency and second harmonic components obtained by the improved correlation method are within respective errors.  相似文献

We have studied the possibility of solving the inverse scattering problem in the Born approximation, i.e., the reconstruction of scatterer images from the measured set of echo signals. We have considered generalization of the classical combined SAFT (C-SAFT) algorithm to the case of multiple reflections from uneven boundaries of the tested object taking into account the transformation of the wave type for several positions of the antenna grid, which makes it possible to obtain high-quality scatterer images. Representation of the direct problem in matrix form makes it possible to switch to solving the inverse problem, which can be solved using the Tikhonov regularization procedure, because it is an ill-posed. We have considered the possibility of using the entropy of the image estimate as the stabilizing functional that forms the essence of the maximum entropy method (MEM). The advantage of the MEM over the conventionally used linear C-SAFT method has been shown. The ray model taking into account reflections of rays from the boundaries of the tested object with uneven boundaries has been used for constructing the function estimate. We have demonstrated the ability of the MEM to obtain the scatterer images with superresolution and to suppress the “side lobes” of the function of the point scattering on the collapsed set of echo signals. The use of echo signals reflected from the boundaries of the tested object makes it possible to reconstruct the scatterer shape more exactly. Examples of images reconstructed by the MEM on echo signals obtained in the numerical and model experiments have been presented.  相似文献
