Radiative vj vi and vlvj transitions of massive Dirac neutrinos are studied in the field of a linearly polarized wave and in a constant crossed field within the framework of an invariant procedure being developed for calculations in plane-wave-type fields. It is shown that with the upper bound used for the anomalous magnetic moment of the neutrinos, consideration of the external field may be decisive in the case of the vj vi (mj>mi) photodecay, with possible nontrivial consequences in the astrophysical aspect.Moscow State Open Pedagogical Institute. We study perturbative QCD at the five-loop level. In particular we considerR = tot(e + e hadrons)/(e + e + ) andR = ( v+hadrons)/( ev). We use our method to estimate the five-loop coefficients. As a result, we obtain s (M z ) = 0.1186(11) and s (34 GeV) = 0.1396(16), which are accurate at the 1% level. We also findR = 3.8350(18), which is consistent withR and is accurate to 0.05%.  相似文献

In the Laguerre ensembleof n xN Hermitian matrices, it is of interest both theoretically and for applications to quantum transport problems to compute the variance of a linear statistic, denoted varN f, asN . Furthermore, this statistic often contains an additional parameter a for which the limit is most interesting and most difficult to compute numerically. On the planar hexagonal lattice , we analyze the Markov process whose state (t), in , updates each site v asynchronously in continuous time t0, so that v (t) agrees with a majority of its (three) neighbors. The initial v (0)'s are i.i.d. with P[ v (0)=+1]=p[0,1]. We study, both rigorously and by Monte Carlo simulation, the existence and nature of the percolation transition as t and p1/2. Denoting by +(t,p) the expected size of the plus cluster containing the origin, we (1) prove that +(,1/2)= and (2) study numerically critical exponents associated with the divergence of +(,p) as p1/2. A detailed finite-size scaling analysis suggests that the exponents and of this t= (dependent) percolation model have the same values, 4/3 and 43/18, as standard two-dimensional independent percolation. We also present numerical evidence that the rate at which (t)() as t is exponential.  相似文献

Finite-size behavior near the first-order phase boundary of ferromagnetic spherical models is investigated for block- and cylinder-shaped systems ind dimensions. The bulk thermodynamic singularities are rounded and, asymptotically for large size, obey appropriate scaling laws. Both short-range interactions and long-range couplings, decaying like 1/rd+ with >0, are analyzed: the short-range results agree precisely with a recently developed scaling theory forO(n) symmetric systems in the limitn. More generally, the scaling functions are universal, depending only on . Explicit aspects of the shape and interactions enter only in the spin wave or Goldstone mode contributions which appear, technically, as corrections to scaling. An appendix analyzes the truncation error in the approximation, by many-fold sums, of multivariate integrals with integrands diverging like [jaj j 2 ]- as 0.  相似文献

Expressions are given for the cross sections of the processes vee v and vee v e ' e' from the viewpoint of the hypothesis of weak interactions via intermediary vector mesons taking separate account of the polarizations of the electron target and the muon (electron) emission. An analysis is given of the cross sections of processes which are admissible according to both the two- and four-component theories of the neutrino. Intense picosecond light pulses of a mode-locked Nd: glass laser at L =1054 nm (fundamental wavelength) and SH =527 nm (second harmonic wavelength) are passed through a sample of D2O under self-focusing conditions. Spectrally structured superbroadened, spatially bell-shaped emission in the forward direction is obtained. Primary generation processes are pump-pulse-degenerate stimulated parametric four-photon interaction (1 + 1 3 + 4) and stimulated Raman scattering (1 R + ), which occur concurrently (1= L or SH angular pump frequency, #x03C9; R first Stokes frequency, #x03C9; signal frequency, #x03C9;3 signal frequency, #x03C9;4 idler frequency). The parametric four-photon interaction occurs under collinear non-phase-matched conditions and under longitudinally phase-matched, transversally non-phase-matched (erenkov-like) conditions. Subsequent interaction processes are pump-pulse-nondegenerate four-photon interaction of the type 1 + R 3 + 4, coherent antiStokes Raman scattering (CARS, 1 + 14 3), inverse Raman scattering ( A + 1 + ), and cascading light up-conversion of the type 1 + (i) R (i+1).  相似文献

On the basis of an arbitrary (V, A) structure of the neutral weak ¯ee and LL currents (L=, M0) a study is made of the processes of production in colliding electron-positron beams of pairs of heavy leptons with subsequent decays in accordance with the schemes e+evµv) + +( anything) and e+eM0e+ve) + M0( anything). Kinetic fractal aggregation in a particle bath where a fractionf of the sites are initially occupied is studied withd=2 computer simulations. Independent particles diffusing to a fixed cluster produce an aggregate with fractal dimensionD 1.7 up to a correlation length(f). At larger lengthsD2.(f) asf 0. When the particles remain fixed but the cluster undergoes a rigid random walkD appears constant at larger scales but varies withf. D 1.95 at largef andD 1.7 asf 0. In both cases, the aggregate sizeN(t) grows with timet (f) . Aggregation on a surface by independently diffusing particles produces shapes reminiscent of electrochemical dendritic growth. The dependence of growth rate and geometry is studied as a function of particle concentration and sticking probability.  相似文献

The usual kinetic equations for the site occupation probabilities in an external field are solved exactly in a simple one-dimensional periodic model with two kinds of atoms using a) free boundary conditions and order of limitsN, 0 needed for a proper treatment of the dc conductivity here b) boundary conditions with metallic contacts and order of limitsN, 0 and c) the same boundary conditions but reversed order of limiting processes 0,N typical of e.g. numerical and percolation treatments. (N and are the number of sites and frequency.) It is demonstrated that though the bulk dc conductivity is the same in all three cases, local bulk properties of the material are strongly dependent on the régime used. The role of the order of all three limiting processes 0,N+ andn+ (Nn+) for local shifts of the chemical potential n in the dc limit is examined (n is the number of the relevant site calculated from a boundary of the chain). It is shown especially that the rate equation treatment (régime a) on the one hand and numerical or percolation treatments (régime c) on the other hand never yield the same bulk values of r.  相似文献

In this paper we concern ourselves with the small asymptotics of the inner products of the eigenfunctions of a Schrödinger-type operator with a coherent state. More precisely, let j and E j denote the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of a Schrödinger-type operator H with discrete spectrum. Let (x,) be a coherent state centered at the point (x, ) in phase space. We estimate as 0 the averages of the squares of the inner products ( a (x,) , j ) over an energy interval of size around a fixed energy, E. This follows from asymptotic expansions of the form for certain test function and Schwartz amplitudes a of the coherent state. We compute the leading coefficient in the expansion, which depends on whether the classical trajectory through (x, ) is periodic or not. In the periodic case the iterates of the trajectory contribute to the leading coefficient. An expression for the decay rate (0 ) has been derived in the frameworkof the spinor strong interaction theory, a first-principles strong interaction theoryproposed some years ago as an alternative to low-energy QCD. The startingpoint is the SO(3) gauge-invariant action for two quark mesons which has beensuccessful in accounting for confinement, + + , e+, and 0 e+, nonexistenceof the Higgs boson, and other low-energy mesonic phenomena. The quasi-four-quarkmeson equations developed for the decay of a vector meson into twopseudoscalar mesons V PP has been taken over here to apply to P(0) VV(+ ) (plus + and which annihilate each other). This mechanismin principle agrees with that of the assumption of vector meson dominance inthe literature. It, together with the effect of form factors, arises naturally in theformalism and need not be assumed. Equations for the perturbed vector mesonwave functions cannot be simply solved and an assumption has been made toobtain an estimate of their magnitude. Together with a constant associated withthe strong coupling obtained earlier from V() PP(K+K), the estimated decayrate is 19.2 eV, in order-of-magnitude agreement with data (7.74 eV).  相似文献

The performance of a continuous-wave (cw) CO flame chemical laser (FCL) of the CS2/O2/CO2 type is presented. The laser gives up to 0.7 W cw output power on a number ofP v (J) lines corresponding to 1110, ..., 76 vibrational bands of CO molecule. The measured values of chemical efficiency based on the reaction O+CSCO*(v)+S and the specific power are 0.1% and 0.7J/g, respectively. The spectral composition of the CO FCL of the CS2/O2/CO2 type shows lasing in the region from 5.194 to 5.573 m. All experimental measurements are conducted with a nondispersive optical cavity.  相似文献

Structural phase transformations of the hcp bcc fct fcc fct ( ) type in titanium hydrides TiH x experimentally found to occur with increase in the hydrogen concentration x are studied theoretically. Free energy phases are statistically calculated, and their concentration dependence is determined. Phase transformation temperatures are found from intersection points of free energy curves and from points of common tangents to the curves. The energy parameters of the system are estimated. The possible existence of a vector leptonic resonance (0) in the + system is considered. We discuss the effect such a resonance would have on the g factor of the muon and also on the ratio of the partial widths of the muonic and electronic decay modes (RV = (V +)/G (V e+ e)) of the neutral vector mesons 0,,,, and. The dynamics of ann-component vector spin glass with infinite range interactions are investigated near and above the Gabay-Toulouse (GT) line. The local transverse susceptibility T for 0 varies along the whole GT lineT c1 (H) as v , with a field and temperature independent critical exponentv=1/2. The longitudinal susceptibility L () remains analytic for all (T, H)T c1 (H), except for a cross-over fromv=1 tov=1/2 forH0 at the freezing temperatureT=T f . The dynamic susceptibilities T () and L () are already coupled above the GT line via self-energy terms. BelowT c1 (H), this coupling is strongly enhanced by other mechanisms.  相似文献
