We estimate pointwise convergence rates of approximation for functions with derivatives of bounded variation and for functions which are exponentially bounded and have derivatives locally of bounded variation. The approximation is made through the operation of a sequence of integral operators with not necessarily positive kernel functions. The general result is then applied to deduce estimates for Beta operators, Hermite-Fejér operators, Picard operators, Gauss-Weierstrass operators, Baskakov operators, Mirakjan-Szász operators, Bleimann-Butzer-Hahn operators, Phillips operators, and Post-Widder operators.  相似文献

In this paper, the concept of disturbing fuzzy propositional logic is introduced, and the operators of disturbing fuzzy propositions is defined. Then the 1-dimensional truth value of fuzzy logic operators is extended to be two-dimensional operators, which include disturbing fuzzy negation operators, implication operators, “and” and “or” operators and continuous operators. Both oscillatory integral operators and level set operators appear naturally in the study of properties of degenerate Fourier integral operators (such as generalized Randon transforms). The properties of oscillatory integral operators have a longer history and are better understood. On the other hand, level set operators, while sharing many common characteristics with oscillatory integral operators, are easier to handle. We study L2-estimates on level set operators in dimension two and compare them with what is known about oscillatory integral operators. The cases include operators with non-degenerate phase functions and the level set version of Melrose-Taylor transform (as an example of a degenerate phase function). The estimates are formulated in terms of the Newton polyhedra and type conditions.  相似文献

A new class of pseudodifferential operators with degeneration is considered. The operators are constructed using a special integral transform mapping a weighted differentiation operator to a multiplication operator. The composition and boundedness properties of such operators in special weighted spaces are examined. Theorems on commutation of such operators with differentiation operators are obtained. The behavior of these operators as t → 0and t → +∞ is investigated. The properties of adjoint operators are studied, and an analogue of Gårding’s inequality is proved.  相似文献

The spectral theory of higher order difference operators is studied by means of asymptotic summation, thereby extending many results of differential operators to the discrete setting. The spectra of degenerate fourth-order operators are also investigated. The results are then compared with those of corresponding differential operators. One-point commuting difference operators of rank 1 are considered. The coefficients in such operators depend on one functional parameter, and the degrees of shift operators in difference operators are positive. These operators are studied in the case of hyperelliptic spectral curves, where the base point coincides with a point of branching. Examples of operators with polynomial and trigonometric coefficients are constructed. Operators with polynomial coefficients are embedded in differential operators with polynomial coefficients. This construction provides a new method for constructing commutative subalgebras in the first Weyl algebra.  相似文献

We investigate the functions for which certain classical families of operators of probabilistic type over noncompact intervals provide uniform approximation on the whole interval. The discussed examples include the Szász operators, the Szász-Durrmeyer operators, the gamma operators, the Baskakov operators, and the Meyer-König and Zeller operators. We show that some results of Totik remain valid for unbounded functions, at the same time that we give simple rates of convergence in terms of the usual modulus of continuity. We also show by a counterexample that the result for Meyer-König and Zeller operators does not extend to Cheney and Sharma operators.  相似文献

In recent years the coincidence of the operator relations equivalence after extension (EAE) and Schur coupling (SC) was settled for the Hilbert space case. For Banach space operators, it is known that SC implies EAE, but the converse implication is only known for special classes of operators, such as Fredholm operators with index zero and operators that can in norm be approximated by invertible operators. In this paper we prove that the implication EAE ? SC also holds for inessential Banach space operators. The inessential operators were introduced as a generalization of the compact operators, and include, besides the compact operators, also the strictly singular and strictly co-singular operators; in fact they form the largest ideal such that the invertible elements in the associated quotient algebra coincide with (the equivalence classes of) the Fredholm operators.  相似文献

In recent years some characterizations of the operators which preserve closed sets, closed bounded sets and closed bounded convex sets had been given in the literature. The kinds of operators involved are semi-Fredholm and tauberian operators. In this paper we introduce non-archimedean tauberian operators and prove that they coincide with semi-Fredholm operators when the ground field is spherically complete. Also, we give some theorems of preservation of closed sets under these classes of operators.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to study operators naturally connected to Ergodic operators in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, such as Uniform-Ergodic, Cesaro-bounded and Power-bounded operators, as well as stable and superstable operators. In particular, super-Ergodic operators are introduced and shown to be strictly between Ergodic and Uniform-Ergodic operators, and that any power bounded operator is super-Ergodic in a superreflexive space. New relationships between these operators are shown, others are proven to be optimal or can be ameliorated according to structural properties of the Banach space, such as the superreflexivity or with unconditional basis.

In this expository article, the authors discuss the connection between the study of non-local operators on Euclidean space to the study of fractional GJMS operators in conformal geometry. The emphasis is on the study of a class of fourth order operators and their third order boundary operators. We are concerned with a new representation of fractional powers of operators by a series using exclusively contractive operators or operators with uniformly bounded powers. This representation is suitable for the construction of efficient approximations for which the error estimates are given and the convergence is investigated.
