A zirconium complex with the p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene anion was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The complex [Zr(μ2-CH3OH)(p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene)]2·9H2O (1) belongs to the orthorhombic system, space group Pnnm, with a?=?20.436(16), b?=?12.160(8), c?=?20.305(12)?Å, V?=?6774(7)?Å3 and Z?=?2. In Complex 1 zirconium coordinates to four phenolic anions of the deprotonated p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene and is bridged by two methanol molecules; the p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene adopts a cone conformation.  相似文献

A series of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene 1,3-diimidazolium salts were successfully prepared by the alkylation of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene with dibromoalkanes, and sequential substitution reaction with 1-alkylimidazole. Furthermore, coordination reactions of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene 1,3-diimidazolium salts with silver oxide and mercury acetate gave novel Ag and Hg complexes of bis(N-heterocyclic carbenes) on p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene platform. The single-crystal structures of four p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene 1,3-diimidazolium salts and three metal complexes were successfully determined by X-ray diffraction. An Ag–Ag argentophilic interaction (Ag–Ag bond length is 3.1599(6) Å) is formed between the two Ag–NHC complexes and a dimetallic coordination mode exists in Hg–NHC complexes.  相似文献

The FTIR and FT Raman spectra of p-alkylcalix[8]arenes (alkyl = tert-butyl, isononyl) were recorded. Analysis of IR spectra showed that the cyclic cooperative intramolecular hydrogen bond is realized in calix[8]arene. It was found that the strength of the cyclic cooperative intramolecular hydrogen bond in the series of alkyl derivatives of calix[8]arenes depends very little on the replacement of the p-tert-butyl groups by the more bulky isononyl group. From our data follows that the orientation of aromatic fragments in calixarene molecules depends on the type of alkyl substituent. An analysis of the changes in the IR spectra with heating and dissolution shows that the conformation of the “pleated-loop” is retained in p-tert-butylcalix[8]arene. It turned out that the intramolecular hydrogen bond is a “probe” of the conformation of calixarene molecules and IR spectroscopy is a unique method that allows one to follow the slightest nuances of changes in the H-bound system of these supermolecules.  相似文献

Abstract

Extraction experiments in the two-phase water/nitrobenzene system and γ-activity measurements were used to determine the stability constant of protonated tetrakis(2-ethoxyethoxy)-tetra-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene in nitrobenzene saturated with water. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were applied to derive the most probable structure of the tetrakis(2-ethoxyethoxy)-tetra-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene·H3O+ complex species.  相似文献

Abstract

Thiacalix[4]arenes are a unique family of polydentate ligands that offer a combination of four soft sulfur atoms together with four hard phenol oxygen atoms for binding to metal ions. In this study, the tetranuclear cadmium (II) complex Cd4II(tca)2·1.5CH2Cl2 (tca4− = tetra-anionic p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene) (1) was synthesized by reaction of a deprotonated p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene and various CdII salts. The structure of 1 was established by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The neutral complex 1 contains a square arrangement of four cadmium (II) ions sandwiched between two tca4− ligands that have a ‘cone’ conformation similar to that of the free ligand. The absorption and emission properties of the free ligand H4tca and complex 1 have been recorded and explained by DFT calculations of the molecular orbitals and electronic transitions between them.  相似文献

A seemingly ipso-like nucleophilic substitution of the upper rim of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene is accomplished by an indirect method involving calix[4]arene derived bis(spirodienone). This method not only provides both mono and 1,3-diaryloxy calixarenes but also enables the synthesis of upper rim monothio substituted calix[4]arenes. A modification of the methodology can be successfully extended for the selective synthesis of mono- and 1,3-diquinone calix[4]arenes having free hydroxyl groups at the lower rim, in fewer steps.  相似文献

Abstract  From extraction experiments in the two-phase water–nitrobenzene system and γ-activity measurements, the stability constant of protonated tetraethyl p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene tetraacetate in nitrobenzene saturated with water was determined. By using DFT calculations, the most probable structure of the tetraethyl p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene tetraacetate·H3O+ complex species was derived. Graphical Abstract     相似文献

Direct O-alkylation of p-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arene with N,N-diethylchloroacetamide afforded two conformational isomers (1,3-alternate and cone) of tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene and 1,3-disubstituted bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene, depending on the base used. The complaxation behaviors of the tetrakis isomers were assessed by 1H NMR titration experiments. Evidence of 1:2 (homo- and hetero-dinuclear) complexes formation of 1,3-alternate-tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene with alkali (K+ and Na+) or transition (Ag+) metal ions was obtained. Interestingly, it was found that the cone-tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene required a prior Ag+ complexation to form 1:2 heterodinuclear complex. New photoreactive calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups (calixarenes 3a–3c ) were synthesized by the reaction of 2‐bromomethyl‐1,4,6‐trioxaspiro[4.4]nonane with 2,8,14,20‐tetramethyl‐4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24‐octakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[4]resorcinarene, 5,11,17,23,29,35‐hexamethyl‐37,38,39,40,41,42‐hexakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[6]arene, and 5,11,17,23,29,35,41,47‐octa‐tert‐butyl‐49,50,51,52, 53,54,55,56‐octakis‐(carboxymethoxy)calix[8]arene, which were prepared by the reaction of C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene, p‐methylcalix[6]arene, and ptert‐butylcalix[8]arene, respectively. The thermal stability of the obtained calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups was examined with thermogravimetric analysis, and it was found that these calixarene derivatives had good thermal stability. The photoinitiated cationic polymerization of spiro ortho ester groups in calixarene derivatives 3a–3c was examined with certain photoacid generators in the film state. Interestingly enough, the reaction of calixarene derivatives did not proceed with only photoirradiation; however, the reaction proceeded smoothly when the photoirradiation was followed by heating. Furthermore, calixarene 3a , composed of a C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene structure, showed the highest photochemical reactivity in this reaction system. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Mono-, tri-, and tetra-thiacalix[6]arene were obtained by acid-catalyzed condensation of the corresponding tetramer and dimer derivatives of p-tert-butylphenol bridged by methylene or sulfur. Replacement of CH2 by sulfur has significant effect on the properties of calix[6]arene such as the strength of intramolecular hydrogen bonding, inclusion ability toward organic molecules, and conformation properties.  相似文献

Potassium hydrotris(N-tert-butyl-2-thioimidazolyl)borate [KTtt-Bu] and potassium hydrotris(3-tert-butyl-5-isopropyl-l-pyrazolyl)borate [KTpt-Bu,i-Pr] have been synthesized and evaluated as ionophores for preparation of a poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane sensor for Zn(II) ions. The effect of different plasticizers, viz. benzyl acetate (BA), dioctyl phthalate (DOP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), tributyl phosphate (TBP), and o-nitrophenyl octyl ether (o-NPOE), and the anion excluders sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB), potassium tetrakis(p-chlorophenyl)borate (KTpClPB), and oleic acid (OA) were studied to improve the performance of the membrane sensor. The best performance was obtained from a sensor with a of [KTtt-Bu] membrane of composition (mg): [KTtt-Bu] (15), PVC (150), DBP (275), and NaTPB (4). This sensor had a Nernstian response (slope, 29.4 ± 0.2 mV decade of activity) for Zn2+ ions over a wide concentration range (1.4 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−1 mol L−1) with a limit of detection of 9.5 × 10−8 mol L−1. It had a relatively fast response time (12 s) and could be used for 3 months without substantial change of the potential. The membrane sensor had very good selectivity for Zn2+ ions over a wide variety of other cations and could be used in a working pH range of 3.5–7.8. The sensor was also found to work satisfactorily in partially non-aqueous media and could be successfully used for estimation of zinc at trace levels in biological and environmental samples. Four new azocalix[4]arenes {5,11,17,23-tetrakis[(2-hydroxy-5-tert-butylphenylazo)]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene (1), 5,11,17,23-tetrakis[(2-hydroxy-5-nitro phenylazo)]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene (2), 5,11,17,23-tetrakis[(2-amino-5-carboxylphenylazo)]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene (3) and 5,11,17,23-tetrakis[(1-amino-2-hydroxy-4-sulfonicacidnapthylazo)]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene (4)} have been synthesized from p-tert-butylphenol, p-nitrophenol, p-aminobenzoic acid and 1-amino-2-hydroxy-4-sulphonic acid by diazo coupling reaction with p-aminocalix[4]arene. The resulting ligands (14) were treated with three transition metal salts (e.g., CuCl2·2H2O, NiCl2·6H2O or CoCl2·6H2O). Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes of the azocalix[4]arene derivatives were obtained and characterized by UV-vis, IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. All the complexes have a metal:ligand ratio of 2:1. The Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes of azocalix[4]arenes are square-planar, while the Co(II) complexes of azocalix[4]arenes are octahedral with water molecules as axial ligands. The solvent extraction of various transition metal cations from the aqueous phase to the organic phase was carried out by using azocalix[4]arenes (14). It was found that, azocalix[4]arenes 1, 2 and 3 examined selectivity for transition metal cations such as Ag+, Hg+ and Hg2+. In addition, the thermal stability of metal:azocalix[4]arene complexes were also reported. Dedicated to Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yılmaz on the occasion of his 50th birthday  相似文献

A series of large-ringed calix[6,7,8]arene analogues have been synthesised and their affect against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vivo established. In general, when p-phenylcalixarenes and tert-butylcalixarenes were not functionalised at the lower rim, low biological activities were observed. However on going from partially to fully lower rim pegylated calixarenes the anti-mycobacterial properties improved. The addition of cyanopropoxy groups at the lower rim gave rise to low activities, whereas the addition of acetate moieties interestingly had pro-TB effects. Two upper rim sulfonated calixarenes showed promising properties. In the course of this work, a high yielding procedure to synthesise p-phenylcalix[7]arene was also established.  相似文献

The title complex, diaquadipyridinelithium (N‐methyl‐ptert‐butyldihomoammoniocalix[4]arene‐κ4O)dioxouranium(VI) tripyridine solvate monohydrate, [Li(C5H5N)2(H2O)2][UO2(C46H58NO4)]·3C5H5N·H2O, contains an `internal' tetraphenoxide‐coordinated uranyl complex of the macrocycle, in which the protonated N atom is involved in an intramolecular hydrogen bond with the uranyl oxo group located in the cavity. The Li+ ion is in a tetrahedral environment and its two water ligands are involved in hydrogen bonds with two phenoxide O atoms, two pyridine molecules and one water molecule. This arrangement is compared with those obtained previously for other homoazacalixarenes and also for homooxacalixarenes in the presence of alkali metal hydroxides.  相似文献

Summary Thep-tert-butylcalix[n]arenes (n=4,6,7,8) andp-tert-butyldihomooxacalix[4]arene have been separated by reverse phase liquid chromatography. Optimum conditions have been obtained on a Spherisorb ODS1, 5 m C18 column by isocratic ambient elution with acetonitrile-methyltert-butyl ether. Calibration plots have been obtained from purified calixarenes and the reliability of the method is confirmed from test mixtures of calixarenes of known composition.  相似文献

The stability constants of alkali metal complexes obtained from the followingO-substituted calix[4]arenes were determined by UV/Vis spectroscopy inmethanol at 20°C: 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis(diethylcarbamoylmethoxy)-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene(cone-1), 25,27-syn-26,28-anti-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis(diethylcarbamoylmethoxy)-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene (paco-1),5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-diethoxycarbonylmethoxy-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene(cone-2) and25,27-syn-26,28-anti-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-diethoxycarbonylmethoxy-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene(paco-2). All ligands form 1:1 complexes with alkali metal cations. The amide-containing calixarenes were found to be more efficient for alkali metalcomplexation than those bearing ester substituents. While sodium ions are selectivelycomplexed by the two mixed amide-(phosphine oxide) calixarenes, the twoester-containing isomers cone-2 and paco-2 turned out to be selective towards potassium and rubidium ions, respectively. With allfour ligands the lowest stability constants were found for the lithium andcesium ions.  相似文献

The diethyl amides of p-tert-butyldihomooxacalix[4]arene (1), p-tert-butylhexahomotrioxacalix[3]arene (2) and p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (3) were used as active materials in ion-selective membrane electrodes to check the detection of different kinds of cations (Na+, K+, Cs+, Mg2 + , Ca2 + , Mn2 + , Cu2 + , Zn2 + , Cd2 + , Pb2 +  and tetramethylammonium cation). The electrode characteristics and selectivity coefficients were determined and compared. Optimisation of the PVC membrane composition was achieved using three different plasticisers (bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate, o-nitrophenyl octyl ether and bis(2-butylpentyl) adipate). Amide 3 shows selectivity for Na+, whereas compounds 1 and 2 exhibit the highest selectivity for Pb2 +  among all the studied cations. The X-ray crystal structure of dihomooxacalix[4]arene tetra(diethyl)amide (1) was determined, revealing it to be in the cone conformation.  相似文献
