Gromov Hyperbolicity of Riemann Surfaces   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We study the hyperbolicity in the Gromov sense of Riemann surfaces. We deduce the hyperbolicity of a surface from the hyperbolicity of its "building block components". We also prove the equivalence between the hyperbolicity of a Riemann surface and the hyperbolicity of some graph associated with it. These results clarify how the decomposition of a Riemann surface into Y-pieces and funnels affects the hyperbolicity of the surface. The results simplify the topology of the surface and allow us to obtain global results from local information.  相似文献

Using standard spines and their graphic presentation, we provide an algorithm which produces an ideal triangulation of a link complement starting from an arbitrary projection of the link. Then we provide another algorithm which computes the hyperbolicity equations of the ideal triangulation of a manifold bounded by tori, where the triangulation corresponds to an arbitrary graphic presentation of the manifold.  相似文献

We prove the so-called Unitary Hyperbolicity Theorem,a result on hyperbolicity of unitary involutions.The analogous previously known results for the orthogonal and symplectic involutions are formal consequences of the unitary one.While the original proofs in the orthogonal and symplectic cases were based on the incompressibility of generalized Severi-Brauer varieties,the proof in the unitary case is based on the incompressibility of their Weil transfers.  相似文献

The linear stability of Lagrangian elliptic equilateral triangle homographic solutions in the classical planar three body problem depends on the mass parameterβ=27(m1m2+m2m3+m3m1)/(m1+m2+m3)2∈[0,9]and the eccentricity e∈[0,1).In this paper we use Maslov-type index to study the stability of these solutions and prove that the elliptic Lagrangian solutions is hyperbolic forβ8 with any eccentricity.  相似文献

We prove a dichotomy of C2 partially hyperbolic sets with one-dimensional center direction admitting no zero Lyapunov exponents, either hyperbolicity over the supports of ergodic measures or approximation by a heterodimensional cycle. This provides a partial result to the C1 Palis Conjecture that claims a dichotomy, hyperbolicity or homoclinic bifurcations in a dense subset of the space of C1 diffeomorphisms. Moreover, a theorem of Ma?é applied in the proof is modified to have an additional property concerning the Hausdorff distance between a periodic orbit and the support of a hyperbolic ergodic measure.  相似文献

Let be a smooth complex projective hypersurface. In this paper we show that, if the degree of X is large enough, then there exist global sections of the bundle of invariant jet differentials of order n on X, vanishing on an ample divisor. We also prove a logarithmic version, effective in low dimension, for the log-pair , where D is a smooth irreducible divisor of high degree. In 1955 N. Kuiper and J. Nash proved that given a C embeddingF of a C Riemannian n -manifold (M,g) in E n+1 which is short in the sense that the metric induced by F is less thang, there is a C 1 isometric embedding which is arbitrarily C 0-close to F. We extend the Nash--Kuiper result for compact M to the case of deformations. In other words, we prove that given a continuous family of short C embeddings ( ) of a compact Riemannian n-manifold M , there is an isometric deformation through C 1 embeddings which is C 0 -close to F. With more assumptions which are typically met in practice, this result is shown to hold in the more difficult case where F(s) is short for s>0 andF(0) is isometric. We use this to prove that if a C convex hypersurface is sufficiently close to being planar in an average sense (e.g. an oblate spheroid in E 3 with axis ratio more than , then it admits an isometric deformation which increases the enclosed volume.  相似文献

Let G be a split semisimple algebraic group over a field k and let X be the flag variety (i.e., the variety of Borel subgroups) of G twisted by a generic G‐torsor. We start a systematic study of the conjecture, raised in 5 in form of a question, that the canonical epimorphism of the Chow ring of X onto the associated graded ring of the topological filtration on the Grothendieck ring of X is an isomorphism. Since the topological filtration in this case is known to coincide with the computable gamma filtration, this conjecture indicates a way to compute the Chow ring. We reduce its proof to the case of . For simply‐connected or adjoint G , we reduce the proof to the case of simple G . Finally, we provide a list of types of simple groups for which the conjecture holds. Besides of some classical types considered previously (namely, A, C, and the special orthogonal groups of types B and D), the list contains the exceptional types G2, F4, and simply‐connected E6.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove following: If GPU (2, 1) is an infinite, discrete group, acting on P2 without complex invariant lines, then the component containing ℍP2 of the domain of discontinuity Ω(G) = PP2∖ Λ (G), according to Kulkarni, is G-invariant complete Kobayashi hyperbolic.
