A new millimeter-wave omni-directional antenna consisting of circular rod corrugations gloved with a dielectric shell operating in the TM01 mode is investigated. As an eigenvalue problem, the antenna is analyzed with the rigorous mode matching method. The radiation characteristics of the antenna are calculated for different parameters with a particular attention directed to the Brewster angle effect on the performances of the antenna. A comparison of the radiation characteristics is made between the antennas with and without dielectric shell. It is found that the introduction of the dielectric shell will change the location where the leakage constant reduced to zero. The effectiveness and reliability of the present analysis are verified by the calculated results given in the literature. Therefore, some useful guidelines for the design of the antenna are thereby suggested.  相似文献

 针对单馈源超宽带抛物面天线波束较窄的问题,设计了一种宽波束双馈源超宽带抛物面天线。该抛物面天线是由一个普通的抛物面从中间对称分式,并在中间以平板连接而成的。馈源采用改进型平面TEM喇叭天线,同轴垂直馈电方式。两个馈源分别置于抛物面的两个焦点上。并利用时域有限差分数值方法分析了该天线的辐射性能。通过改变抛物面的结构,调节双馈源与天线主轴的夹角等方法可以有效改善天线的辐射性能。结果表明,所设计的宽波束双馈源抛物面天线可以在远区更宽的空间上形成峰值功率比较均匀的电磁脉冲,在不降低峰值功率的前提下有效地增加了波束的宽度;在抛物面天线两边进行少量切割不会对辐射场产生明显影响,节省了空间。  相似文献

利用超材料概念,通过在接地面上蚀刻条形缝隙图案,并引入"八木"天线中的反射器和引向器的设计思想,设计并且制作了一种超宽带强定向型贴片天线.仿真结果表明,天线相对带宽为65.3%(6.9—13.6 GHz),带内回波损耗均在-10 d B以下,整个频段内天线的增益均在4.4 d Bi以上.由于接地板上蚀刻的超材料结构的左手特性影响了天线介质基底的等效媒质参数,天线电磁场的传播方向被改变,天线辐射场主要集中在水平方向而不是传统贴片天线的垂直方向.在传统的贴片天线上引入反射器和引向器增强了天线的方向性.实验结果与仿真结果有较好的一致性.  相似文献

Microwave ablation (MWA) is a cancer treatment method. The tumor tissue absorbs electromagnetic energy, which heats and kills it. A microwave ablation antenna plays a critical role in this process. Its radiation field must completely cover the tumor but not the healthy tissue. At present, the radiation pattern of most invasive ablation antennas is spherical. However, in the clinic, the shape of some tumors may be asymmetrical or the antenna cannot be inserted into the center of the tumor for some other reason. In order to solve these problems, a directional heating antenna for microwave ablation is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna, operating at 2.45 GHz, consists of a monopole and a reflector. The feed is given by a substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL) and coplanar waveguide (CPW). The omnidirectional radiation field of the monopole is reflected by a reflector that is extended from the outer conductors of the SICL to form a directional radiation field. The impedance matching network is designed on SICL to match the antenna to 50 Ω . The antenna is fabricated using a mature printed circuit board (PCB). The reflection coefficient of the antenna in porcine liver tissue measured by a vector network analyzer shows good agreement with the simulations. Then, an ablation experiment in porcine liver is conducted with power of 10 W for 10 min, and the experimental results confirm the validity of the design.  相似文献

An acoustically actuated piezoelectric antenna is proposed for low frequency (LF) band in this paper. The proposed antenna is theoretically calculated, numerically optimized by the finite element method (FEM), and experimentally analyzed. The measurement results show that the near-field radiation pattern of the piezoelectric antenna is similar to that of the electric dipole antenna. The radiation efficiency of the piezoelectric antenna is 3-4 orders of magnitude higher than that of electrically small antenna (ESA), with their sizes being the same size, and the maximum transmission distance obtained experimentally is 100 cm, which can be improved by increasing the input power. In addition, the gain, directivity, and quality factor of piezoelectric antenna are also analyzed. In this paper, traditional antenna parameters are creatively used to analyze the performance of piezoelectric antenna. The research conclusions can provide reliable theoretical basis for realizing LF antenna miniaturization.  相似文献

A new omni-directional leaky-wave antenna is proposed in the paper, which is consisted of circular rod corrugations gloved with a Double-negative (DNG) shell. The leaky characteristics of the new antenna are analyzed by improved perturbation method. The electromagnetic fields are described in terms of a radial transmission-line network, which tremendously simplifies the analysis procedure with good calculation accuracy and brings considerable physical insight into the overall behavior of the dielectric grating antenna. The case where the n = −1 space harmonic of TE01 mode radiating into the space is carefully investigated, it is demonstrated that the gloved cylindrical DNG shell greatly enhances the leaky strength of the antenna. As a result, the dimension of the antenna could be largely reduced keeping the radiation efficiency unchanged, which is of practical significance for some applications.  相似文献

By using SO-FDTD method, radiation properties of microstrip patch antenna covered with an anisotropic dielectric layer and a plasma layer are investigated. Simulation results show that the resonant frequency of antenna covered with a plasma layer varies with different plasma parameters. It has been indicated that the frequency offset of antenna is as high as 120 MHz when plasma frequency changes from 1 GHz to 8 GHz. The effect on antenna covered with an anisotropic dielectric layer is analyzed, while altering the dielectric constant or thickness of dielectric layer. Finally, the peak gain of antenna in complex plasma environment is presented in detail.  相似文献

Combing the active antenna concept with the reconfigurable antenna technique, a pattern steerable active patch antenna is presented and designed in this paper. A Gunn diode is used to generate the millimeter wave signal and loaded at the centre of the patch antenna. This antenna system has a stable oscillation frequency f : 44.0GHz and operates as a quasi-Yagi patch antenna. The radiation patterns of the antenna can scan in the whole horizontal plane with 3-db beam width by using four reconfigurable states and the radiation main beam of each state directs to the elevation angle 59° in the elevation-plane. The antenna can be applicable to the millimeter wave half-duplex communication and identification systems.  相似文献

A comparison of the leaky characteristics is made between the antennas with and without dielectric shell. It is found that the circular dielectric shell layer greatly affects the leaky characteristics of the antenna and the leakage constant increases considerably. In such a way, the length of the antenna can be reduced tremendously with higher radiation efficiency. This fact indicates that the proposed leaky wave antenna is of essentially practical significance for the case where the limitation in size and weight of system is strictly required. 提出了一种辐射零点可控的紧凑型滤波贴片天线。该滤波天线以基本的微带贴片天线为原型,主要由一个简单的金属辐射贴片和两个对称的分割形槽组成。两个分割形槽蚀刻在金属贴片上,使得高/低频段分别产生两个宽边辐射零点,从而引入滤波选频功能。该结构未引入额外滤波电路和其他寄生单元,节省了空间尺寸,结构更加紧凑;两个辐射零点独立可控,提高了设计的灵活度。且在实现滤波选频功能的同时,对天线增益的影响很小。利用HFSS仿真软件优化滤波天线结构,制作了一个实物模型并进行了测试。测试结果与仿真结果基本一致。测试结果表明,提出的滤波天线工作在2.40 GHz,两个独立可控的辐射零点分别位于1.96 GHz和2.66 GHz,平均实际增益约为7.0 dBi,带外抑制水平超过39 dB。  相似文献

Experimental and analytic studies of the generation and propagation of electromagnetic radiation due to repetitive current pulses of a nanosecond duration (peak power to 1 MW, current slew rate of 3.5 A/ns) are presented. The radiation source was a fine-wire ring antenna of large radius (ρa=1.4 m). The antenna was driven along its full length instantaneously within the time τ shorter than the time of wave travel along the ring diameter (τ≤2ρa/c). Parameters of the emitted wave were measured. The experimental data are consistent with the calculated emitted-wave parameters that take into account radiation reflection from the conducting walls of the laboratory. The efficiency of transformation of drive pulse energy into ultra-wideband radiation was found to be approximately 15%. A ring antenna driven by repetitive current pulses (within the time τ≤2ρa/c) is suggested to be used as a reference ultra-wideband emitter.  相似文献

The design and prototyping of a new double L-shaped patch antenna on substrate of available low cost polymer resin composite material is presented. The designed microstrip line fed compact antenna consists of a planar double L-shaped slotted radiating patch, 1.6 mm thick substrate and ground plane. The proposed small antenna was designed and analyzed using a finite-element method-based, commercially available, high frequency structure simulator, and fabricated on a printed circuit board. The measured ?10 dB return loss bandwidths were 220 MHz and 650 MHz at 4.85 GHz and 8.10 GHz center frequencies. The corresponding symmetric and almost steady radiation patterns have peak gains of 7.6 dBi and 4.1 dBi, making the proposed antenna suitable for C and × band wireless applications, especially for WLANs, mobiles and satellites. The radiation efficiency, input impedance and current distribution of the proposed antenna were also analyzed.  相似文献

We analyze the response of a dipole antenna to the noise-like and/or regular (quasimonochromatic) plasma oscillations and waves. The antenna is immersed in an isotropic plasma moving with velocity greater than the electron thermal velocity. In the case of a noise field, we calculate the squared spectral power density of the noise voltage at the input of a receiving antenna for frequencies close to the electron plasma frequency. It is shown that the main contribution to the noise is made by the radiation due to the excitation of waves at anomalous Doppler frequencies. In the case of an incident monochromatic wave, the mean square voltage at the antenna input is calculated as a function of the wave frequency and angle of arrival. It is shown that the effective antenna length can differ strongly from the geometrical length of the dipole. This fact results from the dispersion of longitudinal waves ensuring that many plane waves (a continuum, in the limiting case) contribute to the re-radiated field for a given direction of propagation of the radiation energy.  相似文献

为了对等离子体天线进行更深入的研究,必须结合实验获得其真实辐射特性,为此搭建了天线辐射特性测量平台,对单源单极等离子体天线的辐射特性进行了详细的实验研究。通过测量辐射远场区接收天线感应电压数据,得出了天线的辐射方向图、主旁瓣宽度和方向系数;通过与金属天线的辐射场最大值对比,得出了天线的辐射效率;通过测量输入功率和反射功率得出了天线的输入阻抗。此项工作弥补了在等离子体天线研究中实验研究不足的问题。  相似文献

The recently introduced polymeric nanocomposites substrate layer technology is used in the design of a flexible antenna array for wearable applications. This new technology allows a considerable widening of the bandwidth of classical microstrip topologies. This means that a relatively wide band can be combined with a full ground plane in a very simple structure, which is an ideal combination in wearable applications. The wideband and flexible features enabled the antenna to mitigate body-detuning effects. The proposed antenna prototype consists of a 2 × 2 array of rectangular patch elements with dimensions of 70 × 70 × 4.2 mm3. The measurements are performed in free space, and on-body under bent conditions. The antenna working within the frequency band of 5 GHz–8.2 GHz, with a fractional impedance (FBW) bandwidth of 50.34%. The antenna demonstrates a maximum radiation efficiency of 60%, and 9.8 dB of realized gain. Since this antenna is intended for on body-centric wireless communication application, the specific absorption rate is evaluated when the antenna is placed on the right arm of a realistic human phantom. The performances and features of the proposed antenna paved the way for off-body connections in a WBAN and wearable applications including WiFi, telemedicine and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X).  相似文献

The current distribution of a center-fed dipole cylindrical antenna of arbitrary dimension immersed in unbounded lossless warm plasma is considered, taking into account the commonly neglected end-cap effect. The approximated solution of the integral equation for the current distribution is obtained with the aid of Fourier analysis, and the expression is derived for the current distribution I(z) as the function of position z along the cylindrical surface of the antenna. Sample calculations are made for a half-wavelength dipole antenna with different values of thickness parameter ?=(a/l)<0.25 and of the normalized plasma density parameter po=(?p/?)2 <1. Here a and l denote the radius and the half-length of the antenna, respectively. ?p and ? denote the plasma angular frequency and the radiation angular frequency. The variation of the amplitude and phase of the current with the position, and the variation of radiation resistance with po and ? are examined and discussed in detail.  相似文献

We have investigated experimentally and theoretically the effect of a RF discharge excited in a rarefied gas by the antenna field on the input and radiation characteristics of the antenna. Under the conditions of our experiments the discharge plasma is localized near the end of a vibrator antenna, and the parameters of this plasma inhomogeneity can be changed by varying the pressure of the gas, the frequency of the RF signal, and the power fed to the antenna. The anomalous properties of electromagnetic radiation from an antenna in the form of a rectangular section waveguide tube made of a metamaterial with the negative real parts of permittivity and permeability have been demonstrated. The metamaterial is an isotropic two-dimensional array of left and right-twisted coils placed on a thin polyurethane substrate. The coils of the sample are directed in equal numbers along the x, y, and z axes. The possibility of the preferential backward radiation of the structure has been shown on the basis of numerical calculations with the use of the method of moments and the measurements of the radiation pattern of the antenna in an anechoic chamber at frequencies close to the 3-GHz resonance frequency of the metamaterial. 本文将电磁表面(electromagnetic surface, EMS)的设计思想引入到微带天线阵的设计中,在设计天线单元的同时,也将其作为EMS单元兼顾其反射特性.通过在矩形辐射贴片上开弧形缺口,得到一种新的单元结构,该单元可与原始EMS单元之间形成180°±30°有效相位差,且作为天线单元时与原始天线工作在相同谐振模式、相同频带.将两种单元以棋盘形式构成组合天线阵,在两个极化下分别基于相位对消原理和吸波原理实现了雷达散射截面(radar cross section, RCS)减缩.实测与仿真结果表明:相较于等大小的金属板,在x极化波照射下,天线阵在5.6—6.0 GHz实现了6 dB以上的RCS减缩,相对带宽为10.1%;在y极化波照射下,天线阵在5.0—7.2 GHz实现了6 dB以上的RCS减缩,相对带宽为24%.同时由于两种单元在辐射上具有较好的一致性,使得组合天线阵的辐射性能得以保持.该方法有效解决了天线阵辐射和散射难以兼顾的矛盾,为其他形式的低散射天线阵的设计提供了新的方法与思路.  相似文献
