This paper is concerned with the design of reduced-order stateestimators for bilinear stochastic discrete-time systems subjectedto estimation error covariance assignment. The purpose of theproblem addressed is to design the reduced-order state estimators for the bilinear stochastic discrete-time systems such thatthe steady-state estimation error covariances achieve the prespecified values. A simple, effective matrix inequality approach is developed to solve this problem. Specifically, (1) the parameterisationof estimation error covariances that certain bilinear errordynamic processes may possess is presented, (2) the characterisationof all reduced-order state estimators that assign such errorcovariances is explicitly derived, and (3) the solvabilityof the assignability conditions is discussed. Furthermore,an illustrative example is used to demonstrate the effectivenessof the proposed design procedure.  相似文献

Interpolatory projection methods for model reduction of nonparametric linear dynamical systems have been successfully extended to nonparametric bilinear dynamical systems. However, this has not yet occurred for parametric bilinear systems. In this work, we aim to close this gap by providing a natural extension of interpolatory projections to model reduction of parametric bilinear dynamical systems. We introduce necessary conditions that the projection subspaces must satisfy to obtain parametric tangential interpolation of each subsystem transfer function. These conditions also guarantee that the parameter sensitivities (Jacobian) of each subsystem transfer function are matched tangentially by those of the corresponding reduced-order model transfer function. Similarly, we obtain conditions for interpolating the parameter Hessian of the transfer function by including additional vectors in the projection subspaces. As in the parametric linear case, the basis construction for two-sided projections does not require computing the Jacobian or the Hessian.  相似文献

We present a computational procedure for generating formally orthogonal polynomials associated with a given bilinear Hankel form with rectangular matrix-valued moments. Our approach covers the most general case of moments of any size and is not restricted to square moments. Moreover, our algorithm has a built-in deflation procedure to handle linearly dependent or almost linearly dependent columns and rows of the block Hankel matrix associated with the bilinear form. Possible singular or close-to-singular leading principal submatrices of the deflated block Hankel matrix are avoided by means of look-ahead techniques. Applications of the computational procedure to eigenvalue computations, reduced-order modeling, the solution of multiple linear systems, and the fast solution of block Hankel systems are also briefly described.  相似文献

In this paper, a simple adaptive feedback control is proposed for full and reduced-order synchronization of time-varying and strictly uncertain chaotic systems. Our method uses only one feedback gain with parameter adaptation law and converges very fast even in the presence of noise. For full synchronization, a drive-response system consisting of two second-order identical parametrically excited oscillators achieve global synchronization; while for reduced-order synchronization, the dynamical evolution of a second-order parametrically driven oscillator is synchronized with the projection of a third-order time-varying chaotic system. The effectiveness of our approach is demonstrated using numerical simulations.  相似文献

This paper derives some optimization results for bilinear systems using a higher-order method by characterizing them over matrix Lie groups. In the derivation of the results, first a bilinear system is transformed to a left-invariant system on matrix Lie groups. Then, the product of exponential representation is used to express this system in canonical form. Next, the conditions for optimality are obtained by the principles of variational calculus. It is demonstrated that closed-form analytical solutions exist for classes of bilinear systems whose Lie algebra are nilpotent.  相似文献

In this article, a proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) method is used to study a classical splitting positive definite mixed finite element (SPDMFE) formulation for second-order hyperbolic equations. A POD reduced-order SPDMFE extrapolating algorithm with lower dimensions and sufficiently high accuracy is established for second-order hyperbolic equations. The error estimates between the classical SPDMFE solutions and the reduced-order SPDMFE solutions obtained from the POD reduced-order SPDMFE extrapolating algorithm are provided. The implementation for solving the POD reduced-order SPDMFE extrapolating algorithm is given. Some numerical experiments are presented illustrating that the results of numerical computation are consistent with theoretical conclusions, thus validating that the POD reduced-order SPDMFE extrapolating algorithm is feasible and efficient for solving second-order hyperbolic equations.  相似文献

Some nonlinear systems can be approximated by switching bilinear systems. In this paper, we proposed a method to design state-based stabilizing controller for switching bilinear systems. Based on the similarity between switching bilinear systems and switching linear systems, corresponding switching linear systems are obtained for switching bilinear systems by applying state-based feedback control laws. Instead, we consider asymptotically stabilizing the corresponding switching linear system through solving a number of relaxed LMI conditions. Stabilizing controllers for switching bilinear systems can be derived based on the results of the corresponding switching linear systems. The stability of the controller is proved step by step through the decreasing of the multiple Lyapunov functions along the state trajectory. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by both a theoretical example and an example of urban traffic network with traffic signals.  相似文献

Two numerical examples illustrate the fact that the results of numerical computation are consistent with theoretical conclusions. This paper aims to design full-order and reduced-order observers for one-sided Lipschitz nonlinear systems. The system under consideration is an extension of its known Lipschitz counterpart and possesses inherent advantages with respect to conservativeness. For such system, we first develop a novel Riccati equation approach to design a full-order observer, for which rigorous mathematical analysis is performed. Consequently, we show that the conditions under which a full-order observer exists also guarantee the existence of a reduced-order observer. A design method for the reduced-order observer that is dependent on the solution of the Riccati equation is then presented. The proposed conditions are easily and numerically tractable via standard numerical software. Furthermore, it is theoretically proven that the obtained conditions are less conservative than some existing ones in recent literature. The effectiveness of the proposed observers is illustrated via a simulative example.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation (KSE), which describes the long-wave motions of a thin film over a vertical plane. Solution procedures for the KSE often yield a large or infinite-dimensional nonlinear system. We first discuss two reduced-order methods, the approximate inertial manifold and the proper orthogonal decomposition, and show that these methods can be used to obtain a reduced-order system that can accurately describe the dynamics of the KSE. Moreover, from this resulting reduced-order system, the feedback controller can readily be designed and synthesized. For our control techniques, we use the linear and nonlinear quadratic regulator methods, which are the first- and second-order approximated solutions of the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation, respectively. Numerical simulations comparing the performance of the reduced-order-based linear and nonlinear controllers are presented.  相似文献

During recent years there has been considerable interest in using bilinear systems [1, 2] as mathematical models to represent the dynamic behavior of a wide class of engineering, biological and economic systems. Moreover, there are some methods [3] which may approximate nonlinear control systems by bilinear systems. For the first time Zubov has proposed a method of stabilization control synthesis for a set of programmed motions in linear systems [4]. In papers [5, 6] this method has been developed and used to solve the same problem for bilinear systems. In the present paper the following problems are considered. First, synthesis of nonlinear control as feedback under which the bilinear control system has a given set of programmed and asymptotic stable motions. Because this control is not unique, the second problem concerns optimal stabilization. In this paper a method for the design of nonlinear optimal control is suggested. This control is constructed in the form of a convergent series. The theorem on the sufficient conditions to solve this problem is represented.  相似文献
