In this paper, we give the eigenvalues of the manifold Sp(n)/U(n). We prove that an eigenvalue λ s (f 2, f 2, …, f n ) of the Lie group Sp(n), corresponding to the representation with label (f 1, f 2, ..., f n ), is an eigenvalue of the manifold Sp(n)/U(n), if and only if f 1, f 2, …, f n are all even.  相似文献

In this note, we find a monomial basis of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\) of G(r,p,n) and show that the Ariki-Koike algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,n}}\) is a free module over \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), using the Gröbner-Shirshov basis theory. For each irreducible representation of \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), we give a polynomial basis consisting of linear combinations of the monomials corresponding to cozy tableaux of a given shape.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new class of sets and a new class of functions called geodesic E-convex sets and geodesic E-convex functions on a Riemannian manifold. The concept of E-quasiconvex functions on R n is extended to geodesic E-quasiconvex functions on Riemannian manifold and some of its properties are investigated. Afterwards, we generalize the notion of epigraph called E-epigraph and discuss a characterization of geodesic E-convex functions in terms of its E-epigraph. Some properties of geodesic E-convex sets are also studied.  相似文献

We introduce n-abelian and n-exact categories, these are analogs of abelian and exact categories from the point of view of higher homological algebra. We show that n-cluster-tilting subcategories of abelian (resp. exact) categories are n-abelian (resp. n-exact). These results allow to construct several examples of n-abelian and n-exact categories. Conversely, we prove that n-abelian categories satisfying certain mild assumptions can be realized as n-cluster-tilting subcategories of abelian categories. In analogy with a classical result of Happel, we show that the stable category of a Frobenius n-exact category has a natural \((n+2)\)-angulated structure in the sense of Geiß–Keller–Oppermann. We give several examples of n-abelian and n-exact categories which have appeared in representation theory, commutative algebra, commutative and non-commutative algebraic geometry.  相似文献

We investigate E*-dense semi\-groups as analogues of E-densesemigroupsfor semigroups with zero. We give a characterisation theorem forE*-dense semigroups whose idempotents form a *-rectangularband. The paper focuses on the 1-generated positively graded algebras with non-pure resolutions and mainly discusses a new kind of algebras called(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebras as the generalization of bi-Koszul algebras. An(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebra can be obtained from two periodic algebras with pure resolutions. The generation of the Koszul dual of an(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebra is discussed. Based on it,the notion of strongly(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebras is raised and their homological properties are further discussed.  相似文献

We study properties of n-tuple algebras of associative type. We show that the nilpotency of an n-tuple algebra of associative type is determined by the nilpotency of each element. In addition, we characterize the nilpotency of an n-tuple algebra of associative type in terms of the trace function. In the final part of the paper, we show that a homogeneously semisimple n-tuple algebra of associative type is the direct sum of two-sided ideals each of which is a homogeneously simple n-tuple algebra of associative type.  相似文献

The natural automorphism group of a translation surface is its group of translations. For finite translation surfaces of genus g ≥ 2 the order of this group is naturally bounded in terms of g due to a Riemann–Hurwitz formula argument. In analogy with classical Hurwitz surfaces, we call surfaces which achieve the maximal bound Hurwitz translation surfaces. Let D be an infinite division ring. A famous result due to Herstein says that every non-central element of D has infinitely many conjugates and so, if D * is an FC-group, then D is a field. Let M be a maximal subgroup of GL n (D), where n ≥ 1. In this paper, we prove that if M is an FC-group, then it is the multiplicative group of some maximal subfield of M n (D). Moreover, if M is algebraic over Z(D), then [D : Z(D)] < ∞.  相似文献

We generalize Green’s lemma and Green’s theorem for usual binary semigroups to (n,m)-semigroups, define and describe the regularity for an element of an (n,m)-semigroup, give some criteria for an element of an (n,m)-semigroup to be invertible, and further apply the invertibility for (n,m)-semigroups to (n,m)-groups and give some equivalent characterizations for (n,m)-groups. We establish Hosszú-Gluskin theorems for (n,m)-semigroups in two cases, as generalizations of the corresponding theorems for n-groups.  相似文献

Approximation formulae are suggested for the mean and variance of customers in M/E n /s queues. It is shown that the distributions can be approximated by using the mean and variance to fit Gamma functions. A brief comment on the more general E m /E n /s case is given.  相似文献

We provide two new constructions of Markov chains which had previously arisen from the representation theory of \(U(\infty )\). The first construction uses the combinatorial rule for the Littlewood–Richardson coefficients, which arise from tensor products of irreducible representations of the unitary group. The second arises from a quantum random walk on the von Neumann algebra of U(n), which is then restricted to the center. Additionally, the restriction to a maximal torus can be expressed in terms of weight multiplicities, explaining the presence of tensor products.  相似文献
