T3P-promoted synthesis of a series of novel 3-aryl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-4H-1,3-benzothiazin-4-ones

A series of 11 novel 3-aryl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-4H-1,3-benzothiazin-4-ones was prepared at room temperature by T3P-mediated cyclization of N-aryl-C-phenyl imines with thiosalicylic acid. This provides simple and ready access to N-aryl compounds in this family, which have been generally difficult to prepare.     

Vilsmeier reaction with 4-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepin-2-one

4-Phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepin-2-one reacts with the Vilsmeier reagent to give a 3-dimethylaminomethylidene derivative, the hydrolysis of which leads to 3-formyl-4-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepinone.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 223–225, February, 1984.     

Reactions of 2-phenyl-4,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphepin-5-one with phenanthrenequinone and dibenzoyl

Reactions of 2-phenyl-4,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphepin-5-one with 9,10-phenanthrenequinone and dibenzoyl gave hydrolytically unstable spirophosphoranes with five- and seven-membered rings, 2-phenyl-4,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydrospiro[[1,3,2]benzodioxaphosphepine-2,2′-phenanthro[9,10-d][1,3,2]dioxaphosphol]-5-one and 2,4′,5′-triphenyl-4,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydrospiro[[1,3,2]benzodioxaphosphepine-2,2′-[1,3,2]dioxaphosphol]-5-one. The structure of the first of these was proved by X-ray analysis.     

Interaction of 4,5-diphenyl-2,3-dihydro-2,3-pyrroledione with ethoxycarbonylmethylenetriphenylphosphorane: synthesis and crystal structure of 4,5-diphenyl-Z-2-ethoxycarbonylmethylene-2,3-dihydro-3-pyrrolone

1-Unsubstituted 4,5-diphenyl-2,3-dihydro-2,3-pyrroledione interacts with ethoxycarbonyl-methylenetriphenylphosphorane regioselectively to give 4,5-diphenyl-Z-2-ethoxycarbonyl-methylene-2,3-dihydro-3-pyrrolone. 5-甲基-2，3-二苯基-1，5-苯并硫氮杂卓-4(5H)-酮的合成

以2-甲硫基苯胺为原料,通过酰化、碘环化以及Suzuki交叉偶联反应,合成了5-甲基-2,3-二苯基-1,5-苯并硫氮杂卓-4(5H)-酮。 分别考察了催化剂对酰化反应、溶剂对碘环化反应的影响,以及催化剂、配体、碱和温度等因素对Suzuki交叉偶联反应的影响,在最佳的反应条件下,反应总收率为68.5%,中间产物和目标产物的结构经IR、NMR和MS等测试技术得以确证。     

Some chemical properties of 2,3-dihydro-4H-[1,3]thiazino[3,2-a]benzimidazol-4-one and 2-aryl-2,3-dihydro-4H-[1,3]thiazino[3,2-a]benzimidazol-4-ones

We have studied the reaction of 2,3-dihydro-4H-[1,3]thiazino[3,2-a]benzimidazol-4-one and 2-aryl-2,3-dihydro-4H-[1,3]thiazino[3,2-a]benzimidazol-4-ones with amines, alkylating reagents, and hydrogen peroxide. We have shown that the presence of an aryl substituent at the 2 position of [1,3-thiazino[3,2-a]benzimidazol-4-ones has a substantial effect on the direction of the reactions. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 3, pp. 445–452, March, 2006.     

The copper(II) acetate complex with 2-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)-4,4-diphenyl-1,2-dihydro-4H-3,1-benzoxazine

The Cu(II) acetate complex with 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-4,4-diphenyl-1,2-dihydro-4H-3,1-benzoxazine (L) was synthesized for the first time and structurally studied by X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes as two crystallographically independent centrosymmetric binuclear molecules [Cu₂(μ-L)₂Ac₂] of similar structure, where L occurs as azomethin tautomeric form. The ligand performs tridentate chelate-bridging function. Each Cu atom exhibits extended tetragonal-pyramidal coordination by two O atoms and the N atom of one ligand L in the equatorial plane and by the O atom of the second ligand L in the axial position. The fourth equatorial position in the metal coordination polyhedron is occupied by the O atom of monodentate terminal acetate group.     

Reactions of anthranilamide with isocyanates: A new facile synthesis of 2,3-dihydro-5H-oxazolo[2,3-b]quinazolin-5-one and 3,4-dihydro-2H,6H-[1,3]oxazino[2,3-b]quinazolin-6-one [1]

2,3-Dihydro-5H-oxazolo[2,3-b]quinazolin-5-one 5a was synthesized from anthranilamide 1 and 2-chloro-ethyl isocyanate either by a direct reflux in methanol, or by stirring at room temperature in acetonitrile leading to the intermediate, 2-(2-chloroethyl ureido)benzamide 6a which was subsequently cyclized on heating with an organic base. However, when compound 6a was refluxed with concentrated hydrochloric acid, it furnished 3-(2-chloroethyl)-2,4-dioxo-1H,3H-quinazoline 2a in good yields. 3,4-Dihydro-2H,6.H-[1,3]-oxazino[2,3-b]quinazolin-6-one 5b , 3-(3-chloropropyl)-2,4-dioxo-1H,3.H-quinazoline 2b and 2-(3-chloropropyl ureido)benzamide 6b were obtained similarly from 1 and 3-chloropropyl isocyanate.     

Synthesis of 5-[2-(Phenoxy)ethyl] Derivatives of 6-Methyluracil, 6-Methyl-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrimidin-4-one,and 2-Imino-6-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrimidin-4-one

A synthesis of novel derivatives of 6-methyluracil, 6-methyl-2-thioxo-, and 2-imino-6-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrimidin-4-one containing a 2-(phenoxy)ethyl substituent at position 5 of the pyrimidine ring has been carried out. It was found that 5-[2-(phenoxy)ethyl] derivatives of 6-methyl-2-thioxo- and 2-imino-6-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrimidin-4-one are obtained by the condensation of the corresponding ethyl 3-oxo-2-(2-phenoxyethyl)butanoates with thiourea or guanidine. 6-Methyl-5-[2-(phenoxy)ethyl]uracils can be prepared by treating 6-methyl-5-[2-(phenoxy)ethyl]-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrimidin-4-ones with an excess of aqueous monochloroacetic acid solution. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 8, pp. 1213–1217, August, 2005.     

A new one-step synthesis of 2,3-dihydro-5H-thiazolo[2,3-b]quinazolin-5-one and 3,4-dihydro-2h,6h[1,3]thiazino[2,3-b] quinazolin-6-one

2,3-Dihydro-5H-thiazolo[2,3-b]quinazolin-5-one and 3,4-dihydro-2H,6H[1,3] thiazino[2,3-b]-quinazolin-6-one have been synthesized in one step by the reaction of methyl anthranilate with ehloroalkyl isothiocyanates.     

Synthesis and nitration of 4-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepin-2-one

Analysis of the UV spectra of the reaction products shows that in the nitration of 4-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepin-2-one the nitro group is directed to the benzodiazepine ring rather than to the phenyl ring to give a 7-nitro derivative.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklieheskikh Soedinenii, No. 4, pp. 525–528, April, 1977.
