Water adsorption on Pt(111) surfaces treated with oxygen or hydrogen chloride at 20 K has been studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy. Water molecules chemisorb predominantly on the sites of the electronegative additives (O or Cl-), forming hydrogen bonds of O-HO or O-HCl-. On a Pt(111)-2×2-O surface, water adsorption produces species (O(D2O)), monomeric water (D2O), (O(D2O)2) and ring tetramer-like cluster (O(D2O)3) on a Pt(111) surface. On a Pt(111)-3×3-Cl- (θ=0.44) surface, water adsorption gives rise to a Pt(111)-(4×2)-(H3O++Cl-) co-adsorption structure to form a hydrogen-bonding network between Cl- and H3O+ ions.  相似文献

Density functional GGA-PW91 method with DNP basis set is applied to optimize the geometries of Ag n H (n = 1–10) clusters. For the lowest energy geometries of Ag n H (n = 1–10) clusters, the hydrogen atom prefers to occupy the two-fold coordination bridge site except the occupation of single-fold coordination site in AgH cluster. After adsorption of hydrogen atom, most Ag n structures are slightly perturbed and only the Ag6 structure in Ag6H cluster is distorted obviously. The Ag–Ag bond is strengthened and the strength of Ag–H bond exhibits a clear odd–even oscillation like the strength of Au–H bond in Au n H clusters, indicating that the hydrogen atom is more favorable to be adsorbed by odd-numbered pure silver clusters. The adsorption strength of small silver cluster toward H atom is obviously weaker than that of small gold cluster toward H atom due to the strong scalar relativistic effect in small gold cluster. The pronounced odd–even alternation of the magnetic moments is observed in Ag n H systems, indicating that the Ag n H clusters possess tunable magnetic properties by adsorbing hydrogen atom onto odd-numbered or even-numbered small silver cluster.  相似文献

Octahedral clusters of the [M6X12] type offer numerous possibilities to form structural arrangements through different choices of bonding situations. In this paper a series of new cluster compounds of the transition metal niobium is described, which consist of the [Nb6Cl18]2–, and in one case [Nb6Cl18]3–, anion and protonated N-base cations ([MIm-H]+, [nPr3N-H]+, [TMGu-H]+, and [Tzn-H]+). They all are prepared using water scavenger compounds [SOCl2 or (Ac)2O] under oxidising conditions, resulting in two-electron (or one-electron, respectively) oxidized cluster units with respect to the starting material [Nb6Cl14(H2O)4] · 4H2O. Of five members of this group single-crystal X-ray structures were determined. The cluster anions exist in all structures as discrete units. The acidic H atoms of all N-bases are hydrogen bonded to H acceptors, in 4 cases to outer, exo bonded Cl atoms of the cluster unit and in one case to the O atom of a co-crystallized THF molecule. In [TMGu-H]2[Nb6Cl18] chains of cluster anions exist hydrogen-bonded through bridging [TMGu-H]+ cations. ESI mass spectra of [MIm-H]2[Nb6Cl18] · 2SOCl2 and [TMGu-H]2[Nb6Cl18] show the expected isotopic distribution patterns for the anions together with other peaks associated to chloride mass losses and/or reduction processes.  相似文献

The chemistry of oxygen, hydrogen, water, and other species containing both oxygen and hydrogen atoms on the anatase TiO2 (001) surface is investigated by DFT. The adsorption energy of atoms and radicals depends appreciably on the position and mode of adsorption, and on the coverage. Molecular hydrogen and oxygen interact weakly with the clean surface. However, H2O dissociates spontaneously to give two nonidentical hydroxyl groups, and this provides a model for hydroxylation of TiO2 surfaces by water. The mobility of the hydroxyl groups created by water splitting is initially impeded by a diffusion barrier close to 1 eV. The O2 adsorption energy increases significantly in the presence of H atoms. Hydroperoxy (OOH) formation is feasible if at least two H atoms are present in the direct vicinity of O2. In the adsorbed OOH, the O? O bond is considerably lengthened and thus weakened.  相似文献

The joint adsorption of water and benzene on nanosized carbon tubes (NCTs) (with a specific surface area of 413 m2/g) synthesized by carbonizing methylene chloride in cylindrical pores of an Al2O3 matrix was studied. 1H NMR spectroscopy with layer-by-layer freezing of the liquid phase was used to characterize the water bound in pores at various contents of benzene and water. Due to its higher energy of interaction with carbon surfaces, benzene was demonstrated to decrease the energy of interaction of water with the surface of the NCT sample from 43 to 15 J/g. It was suggested that, in the presence of benzene, H-bonded water clusters only weakly bound to the surface are formed in the cylindrical cavities of the NCTs.  相似文献

The scandium(III) cations in the structures of pentaaqua(biuret‐κ2O,O′)scandium(III) trichloride monohydrate, [Sc(C2H5N3O2)(H2O)5]Cl3·H2O, (I), and tetrakis(biuret‐κ2O,O′)scandium(III) trinitrate, [Sc(C2H5N3O2)4](NO3)3, (II), are found to adopt very different coordinations with the same biuret ligand. The roles of hydrogen bonding and the counter‐ion in the establishment of the structures are described. In (I), the Sc3+ cation adopts a fairly regular pentagonal bipyramidal coordination geometry arising from one O,O′‐bidentate biuret molecule and five water molecules. A dense network of N—H...Cl, O—H...O and O—H...Cl hydrogen bonds help to establish the packing, resulting in dimeric associations of two cations and two water molecules. In (II), the Sc3+ cation (site symmetry 2) adopts a slightly squashed square‐antiprismatic geometry arising from four O,O′‐bidentate biuret molecules. A network of N—H...O hydrogen bonds help to establish the packing, which features [010] chains of cations. One of the nitrate ions is disordered about an inversion centre. Both structures form three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bond networks.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the hydrated proton‐transfer compound of the drug quinacrine [rac‐N′‐(6‐chloro‐2‐methoxyacridin‐9‐yl)‐N,N‐diethylpentane‐1,4‐diamine] with 4,5‐dichlorophthalic acid, C23H32ClN3O2+·2C8H3Cl2O4·4H2O, has been determined at 200 K. The four labile water molecules of solvation in the structure form discrete ...O—H...O—H... hydrogen‐bonded chains parallel to the quinacrine side chain, the two N—H groups of which act as hydrogen‐bond donors for two of the water acceptor molecules. The other water molecules, as well as the acridinium H atom, also form hydrogen bonds with the two anion species and extend the structure into two‐dimensional sheets. Between these sheets there are also weak cation–anion and anion–anion π–π aromatic ring interactions. This structure represents the third example of a simple quinacrine derivative for which structural data are available but differs from the other two in that it is unstable in the X‐ray beam due to efflorescence, probably associated with the destruction of the unusual four‐membered water chain structures.  相似文献

The reaction of Co(NO3)2?·?6H2O with a tripodal ligand leads to a new complex {[Co(L)]?·?2NO3?·?8H2O} (1) confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The particular interest of 1 is in the formation of a 1-D water tape consisting of (H2O)16 cluster units, the neighboring water tapes are connected by free nitrate anions via hydrogen bonds into a 2-D guest layer. These guest layers are alternately packed face-to-face with the 2-D host layers along the a-axis to form a 3-D supramolecular architecture. There exist C–H?···?N and C–H?···?O weak hydrogen bonds between the guest layer and host layer. These weak hydrogen bonds and water–nitrate, water–water hydrogen bonds are important for the stability of the overall structure.  相似文献

The title compound, C16H14FNOS, crystallizes with Z′ = 2 in the space group P21/c. In one of the two independent molecules, the heterocyclic ring is effectively planar, but in the other molecule this ring adopts an envelope conformation. The molecules are weakly linked by two C—H...O hydrogen bonds to form C22(14) chains. Comparisons are made with some symmetrically substituted 2‐aryl‐3‐benzyl‐1,3‐thiazolidin‐4‐ones.  相似文献

The structures of the 1:1 hydrated proton‐transfer compounds of isonipecotamide (piperidine‐4‐carboxamide) with oxalic acid, 4‐carbamoylpiperidinium hydrogen oxalate dihydrate, C6H13N2O+·C2HO4·2H2O, (I), and with adipic acid, bis(4‐carbamoylpiperidinium) adipate dihydrate, 2C6H13N2O+·C6H8O42−·2H2O, (II), are three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded constructs involving several different types of enlarged water‐bridged cyclic associations. In the structure of (I), the oxalate monoanions give head‐to‐tail carboxylic acid O—H...Ocarboxyl hydrogen‐bonding interactions, forming C(5) chain substructures which extend along a. The isonipecotamide cations also give parallel chain substructures through amide N—H...O hydrogen bonds, the chains being linked across b and down c by alternating water bridges involving both carboxyl and amide O‐atom acceptors and amide and piperidinium N—H...Ocarboxyl hydrogen bonds, generating cyclic R43(10) and R32(11) motifs. In the structure of (II), the asymmetric unit comprises a piperidinium cation, half an adipate dianion, which lies across a crystallographic inversion centre, and a solvent water molecule. In the crystal structure, the two inversion‐related cations are interlinked through the two water molecules, which act as acceptors in dual amide N—H...Owater hydrogen bonds, to give a cyclic R42(8) association which is conjoined with an R44(12) motif. Further N—H...Owater, water O—H...Oamide and piperidinium N—H...Ocarboxyl hydrogen bonds give the overall three‐dimensional structure. The structures reported here further demonstrate the utility of the isonipecotamide cation as a synthon for the generation of stable hydrogen‐bonded structures. The presence of solvent water molecules in these structures is largely responsible for the non‐occurrence of the common hydrogen‐bonded amide–amide dimer, promoting instead various expanded cyclic hydrogen‐bonding motifs.  相似文献

Two polymorphs of bis(2‐carbamoylguanidinium) fluorophosphonate dihydrate, 2C2H7N4O+·FO3P2−·2H2O, are presented. Polymorph (I), crystallizing in the space group Pnma, is slightly less densely packed than polymorph (II), which crystallizes in Pbca. In (I), the fluorophosphonate anion is situated on a crystallographic mirror plane and the O atom of the water molecule is disordered over two positions, in contrast with its H atoms. The hydrogen‐bond patterns in both polymorphs share similar features. There are O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds in both structures. The water molecules donate their H atoms to the O atoms of the fluorophosphonates exclusively. The water molecules and the fluorophosphonates participate in the formation of R44(10) graph‐set motifs. These motifs extend along the a axis in each structure. The water molecules are also acceptors of either one [in (I) and (II)] or two [in (II)] N—H...O hydrogen bonds. The water molecules are significant building elements in the formation of a three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bond network in both structures. Despite these similarities, there are substantial differences between the hydrogen‐bond networks of (I) and (II). The N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds in (I) are stronger and weaker, respectively, than those in (II). Moreover, in (I), the shortest N—H...O hydrogen bonds are shorter than the shortest O—H...O hydrogen bonds, which is an unusual feature. The properties of the hydrogen‐bond network in (II) can be related to an unusually long P—O bond length for an unhydrogenated fluorophosphonate anion that is present in this structure. In both structures, the N—H...F interactions are far weaker than the N—H...O hydrogen bonds. It follows from the structure analysis that (II) seems to be thermodynamically more stable than (I).  相似文献

Structural characteristics of synthesized ordered mesoporous silicas MCM-41, MCM-48 and SBA-15 were studied using XRD, nitrogen adsorption and FTIR methods. Pure water and mixtures with water/benzene and water/chloroform-d adsorbed onto silicas were studied by 1H NMR spectroscopy with layer-by-layer freezing-out of bulk and interfacial liquids. Concentrated aqueous suspensions of MCM-48 and SBA-15 were studied by thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) method. Benzene and chloroform-d can displace a portion of water to broad pores from the pore walls and from narrower pores, especially in the case of a large excess of an organic solvent. This process is accompanied by diminution of both interaction energy of water with an adsorbent surface and freezing temperature depression of adsorbed water. The effect of nonpolar benzene on pore water is much stronger than that of weakly polar chloroform-d. Modifications of the Gibbs-Thomson relation to describe the freezing point depression of mixtures of immiscible liquids confined in pores allow us to determine distribution functions of sizes of structures with unfrozen pore water and benzene. In the title compound, C11H11N3O·0.5H2O, the water molecule lies across a twofold rotation axis in the space group Pbcn. The bond distances in the organic component provide evidence for polarization of the electronic structure. The molecular components are linked into puckered sheets of R108(34) rings by a combination of O—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen bonds; adjacent sheets are weakly linked by an aromatic π–π stacking interaction. Comparisons are made with some fused‐ring analogues.  相似文献

The conformation and tautomeric structure of (Z)‐4‐[5‐(2,6‐difluorobenzyl)‐1‐(2‐fluorobenzyl)‐2‐oxo‐1,2‐dihydropyridin‐3‐yl]‐4‐hydroxy‐2‐oxo‐N‐(2‐oxopyrrolidin‐1‐yl)but‐3‐enamide, C27H22F3N3O5, in the solid state has been resolved by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography. The electron distribution in the molecule was evaluated by refinements with invarioms, aspherical scattering factors by the method of Dittrich et al. [Acta Cryst. (2005), A 61 , 314–320] that are based on the Hansen–Coppens multipole model [Hansen & Coppens (1978). Acta Cryst. A 34 , 909–921]. The β‐diketo portion of the molecule exists in the enol form. The enol –OH hydrogen forms a strong asymmetric hydrogen bond with the carbonyl O atom on the β‐C atom of the chain. Weak intramolecular hydrogen bonds exist between the weakly acidic α‐CH hydrogen of the keto–enol group and the pyridinone carbonyl O atom, and also between the hydrazine N—H group and the carbonyl group in the β‐position from the hydrazine N—H group. The electrostatic properties of the molecule were derived from the molecular charge density. The molecule is in a lengthened conformation and the rings of the two benzyl groups are nearly orthogonal. Results from a high‐field 1H and 13C NMR correlation spectroscopy study confirm that the same tautomer exists in solution as in the solid state.  相似文献

Complexes of Mn2+ with deprotonated GlyGly are investigated by sustained off‐resonance irradiation collision‐induced dissociation (SORI‐CID), infrared multiple‐photon dissociation spectroscopy, ion–molecule reactions, and computational methods. Singly [Mnn(GlyGly‐H)2n?1]+ and doubly [Mnn+1(GlyGly‐H)2n]2+ charged clusters are formed from aqueous solutions of MnCl2 and GlyGly by electrospray ionization. The most intense ion produced was the singly charged [M2(GlyGly‐H)3]+ cluster. Singly charged clusters show extensive fragmentations of small neutral molecules such as water and carbon dioxide as well as dissociation pathways related to the loss of NH2CHCO and GlyGly. For the doubly charged clusters, however, loss of GlyGly is observed as the main dissociation pathway. Structure elucidation of [Mn3(GlyGly‐H)4]2+ clusters has also been done by IRMPD spectroscopy as well as DFT calculations. It is shown that the lowest energy structure of the [Mn3(GlyGly‐H)4]2+ cluster is deprotonated at all carboxylic acid groups and metal ions are coordinated with carbonyl oxygen atoms, and that all amine nitrogen atoms are hydrogen bonded to the amide hydrogen. A comparison of the calculated high‐spin (sextet) and low‐spin (quartet) state structures of [Mn3(GlyGly‐H)4]2+ is provided. IRMPD spectroscopic results are in agreement with the lowest energy high‐spin structure computed. Also, the gas‐phase reactivity of these complexes towards neutral CO and water was investigated. The parent complexes did not add any water or CO, presumably due to saturation at the metal cation. However, once some of the ligand was removed via CO2 laser IRMPD, water was seen to add to the complex. These results are consistent with high‐spin Mn2+ complexes.  相似文献

Both maleic and fumaric acid readily form adducts or complexes with other organic molecules. The 1:1 adduct formed by quinolin‐8‐ol (oxine) with maleic and fumaric acid are salts, namely 8‐hydroxyquinolinium hydrogen maleate, C9H8NO+·C4H3O4, (I), and 8‐hydroxyquinolinium hydrogen fumarate, C9H8NO+·C4H3O4, (II). The cations and anions of both salts are linked by ionic N+—H...O hydrogen bonds. The maleate salt crystallizes in the space group P212121, while the fumarate salt crystallizes in P. The maleic and fumaric acids in their complex forms exist as semimaleate and semifumarate ions (mono‐ionized state), respectively. Classical N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, together with short C—H...O contacts, generate an extensive hydrogen‐bonding network. The crystal structures of the maleate and fumarate salts of oxine have been elucidated to study the importance of noncovalent interactions in the aggregation and interaction patterns of biological molecules. The structures of the salts of the Z and E isomers of butenedioic acid (maleic and fumaric acid, respectively) with quinolin‐8‐ol are compared.  相似文献

The structures of 4‐nitrobenzene‐1,2‐diamine [C6H7N3O2, (I)], 2‐amino‐5‐nitroanilinium chloride [C6H8N3O2+·Cl, (II)] and 2‐amino‐5‐nitroanilinium bromide monohydrate [C6H8N3O2+·Br·H2O, (III)] are reported and their hydrogen‐bonded structures described. The amine group para to the nitro group in (I) adopts an approximately planar geometry, whereas the meta amine group is decidedly pyramidal. In the hydrogen halide salts (II) and (III), the amine group meta to the nitro group is protonated. Compound (I) displays a pleated‐sheet hydrogen‐bonded two‐dimensional structure with R22(14) and R44(20) rings. The sheets are joined by additional hydrogen bonds, resulting in a three‐dimensional extended structure. Hydrohalide salt (II) has two formula units in the asymmetric unit that are related by a pseudo‐inversion center. The dominant hydrogen‐bonding interactions involve the chloride ion and result in R42(8) rings linked to form a ladder‐chain structure. The chains are joined by N—H...Cl and N—H...O hydrogen bonds to form sheets parallel to (010). In hydrated hydrohalide salt (III), bromide ions are hydrogen bonded to amine and ammonium groups to form R42(8) rings. The water behaves as a double donor/single acceptor and, along with the bromide anions, forms hydrogen bonds involving the nitro, amine, and ammonium groups. The result is sheets parallel to (001) composed of alternating R55(15) and R64(24) rings. Ammonium N—H...Br interactions join the sheets to form a three‐dimensional extended structure. Energy‐minimized structures obtained using DFT and MP2 calculations are consistent with the solid‐state structures. Consistent with (II) and (III), calculations show that protonation of the amine group meta to the nitro group results in a structure that is about 1.5 kJ mol−1 more stable than that obtained by protonation of the para‐amine group. DFT calculations on single molecules and hydrogen‐bonded pairs of molecules based on structural results obtained for (I) and for 3‐nitrobenzene‐1,2‐diamine, (IV) [Betz & Gerber (2011). Acta Cryst. E 67 , o1359] were used to estimate the strength of the N—H...O(nitro) interactions for three observed motifs. The hydrogen‐bonding interaction between the pairs of molecules examined was found to correspond to 20–30 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

Details of the structures of two conformational polymorphs of the title compound, C12H17N2OS+·Cl, are reported. In form (I) (space group P), the two N—H groups of the cation are in a trans conformation, while in form (II) (space group P21/c), they are in a cis arrangement. This results in different packing and hydrogen‐bond arrangements in the two forms, both of which have extended chains lying along the a direction. In form (I), these chains are composed of centrosymmetric R42(18) (N—H...Cl and O—H...Cl) hydrogen‐bonded rings and R22(18) (N—H...O) hydrogen‐bonded rings. In form (II), the chains are formed by centrosymmetric R42(18) (N—H...Cl and O—H...Cl) hydrogen‐bonded rings and by R42(12) (N—H...Cl) hydrogen‐bonded rings.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title complex, trans‐dichloridotetrakis[1‐phenyl‐3‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl‐κN4)propan‐1‐one]copper(II) hexahydrate, [CuCl2(C11H11N3O)4]·6H2O, is isomorphous with that of the corresponding nickel and cobalt compounds. The complex has crystallographic inversion symmetry with the CuII atom on an inversion centre. Each CuII atom is six‐coordinated by one N atom from each of the four 1‐phenyl‐3‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)propan‐1‐one ligands in the equatorial plane and by two chloride ligands in axial positions. The structure includes a centrosymmetric irregular up–up–down–down (uudd) water tetramer cluster and O—H...Cl hydrogen bonds. Intermolecular C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds exist between adjacent molecules, resulting in a three‐dimensional supramolecular network.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title melaminium salt, bis(2,4,6‐triamino‐1,3,5‐triazin‐1‐ium) dl ‐malate tetrahydrate, 2C3H7N6+·C4H4O52−·4H2O, consists of singly protonated melaminium residues, dl ‐malate dianions and water molecules. The melaminium residues are connected into chains by four N—H⃛N hydrogen bonds, and these chains form a stacking structure along the c axis. The dl ‐malate dianions form hydrogen‐bonded chains and, together with hydrogen‐bonded water molecules, form a layer parallel to the (100) plane. The conformation of the malate ion is compared with an ab initio molecular‐orbital calculation. The oppositely charged moieties, i.e. the stacks of melaminium chains and hydrogen‐bonded dl ‐malate anions and water molecules, form a three‐dimensional polymeric structure, in which N—H⃛O hydrogen bonds stabilize the stacking.  相似文献
