Light propagation through the channel filter based on the two-dimensional photonic crystals with oval-rod defects is studied by the finite-difference time-domain method. In addition to the traditional size tuning, shape alteration of the defects from the usual circle to the ellipse offers a powerful approach to tune the resonant frequency of channel-drop filters based on two-dimensional photonic crystals. It is found that the resonant frequency can be flexibly adjusted only by changing the orientation angle of the oval defects. The sensitivity of the resonant frequency to the alteration of the oval rods’ rotation angle is systematically studied. Because the rotation angles of the ellipse can be continuously adjusted, so the channel drop filter based on this kind of defects with different rotation angles is more suitable to the occasion where a large number of output channel filters is need.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate an independently tunable omnidirectional multichannel filter by combining the advantages of the independently tunable filtering properties of fractal structures and the omnidirectional resonant modes of one-dimensional photonic crystals containing negative-index materials. Compared to the conventional multichannel filters, each channel of the proposed filter can be tuned separately, and the frequency position of the filter is insensitive to the incident angle of light. It thus provides a simple way for designing omnidirectional multichannel filters with specific channels.  相似文献

Graphene plasmons have become promising candidates for deep-subwavelength nanoscale optical devices due to their strong field confinement and low damping. Among these nanoscale optical devices, band-pass filter for wavelength selection and noise filtering are key devices in an integrated optical circuit. However, plasmonic filters are still oversized because large resonant cavities are needed to perform frequency selection. Here, an ultra-compact filter integrated in a graphene plasmonic waveguide was designed, where a rectangular resonant cavity is inside a graphene nanoribbon waveguide. The properties of the filter were studied using the finite-difference time-domain method and demonstrated using the analytical model. The results demonstrate the band-pass filter has a high quality factor(20.36) and electrically tunable frequency response. The working frequency of the filter could also be tuned by modifying the cavity size. Our work provides a feasible structure for a graphene plasmonic nano-filter for future use in integrated optical circuits.  相似文献

We study the transmission characteristics of a photonic crystal waveguide with a single stub of a finite length and propose a double-stub waveguide structure for its application to optical filters. The proposed device operates as a Fabry-Perot interferometer and can be used as a broad bandstop filter and a narrow bandpass filter. These filters are inherently compact and their center frequency is given by the resonant frequency of the stub.  相似文献

We describe a novel approach to implementing wide-field-of-view narrow-band spectral filters, using an array of resonant nanocavities consisting of periodic defects in a two-dimensional three-material photonic-crystal nanostructure. We analyze the transmissivity of this type of filter for a range of wavelengths and in-plane incidence angles as a function of the defect's refractive index, the number of layers in the photonic-crystal reflectors, and the period of the defects and find that this structure diminishes the angular sensitivity of the resonance condition relative to that of a standard multilayer filter.  相似文献

A novel three-port channel add/drop filter consisting of two waveguides and two cavities is proposed. One is used for a resonant tunneling-based channel add/drop operation from the bus waveguide to the add/drop waveguide, while the other is used to realize the wavelength-selective reflection feedback in the bus waveguide. By means of coupled mode theory in time, the conditions to achieve 100% add efficiency are derived thoroughly. Based on these theoretical analysis, the channel add filter and some other multi-channel filters are designed in two-dimensional photonic crystals (2D PCs) with square lattice of dielectric rods in air. The numerical results by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method demonstrate almost complete channel add/drop tunneling at resonance via the three-port systems.  相似文献

We fabricated a new type of two-dimensional photonic crystal slab filter. The resonant cavities were directly put into the waveguide arms. The optical transmissions of the filters were measured and the results show that the optimized two-channel filters give good intensity distribution at the output ports of the waveguide. A minimum wavelength spacing of 5~nm of the filter outputs isrealized by accurately controlling the size of the resonant cavities.  相似文献

分析了不同宽边情况下对滤波器加工精度的影响,分析结果表明对于不同频段的滤波器,需要选择合适的谐振腔的宽边才能达到较好的性能,同时分析了不同谐振模式的滤波器对加工精度的影响,分析表明,对于太赫兹频段滤波器,选用TE101谐振模式时存在腔体长度会比波导的宽边小很多的情况,而选用高阶谐振模式不但可以提高滤波器的品质因数Q值,减少损耗,同时也能在一定程度上降低滤波器对加工精度的要求。最后以0.34 THz 4阶带通滤波器为例验证此方法的正确性,测试表明该滤波器最低损耗为-0.73 dB,在0.335~0.349 THz范围内损耗在-2 dB以内。  相似文献

本文提出一种采用石榴石型铁氧体磁性材料的太赫兹滤波器,利用波导线缺陷和腔内点缺陷的耦合特性,通过改变腔内介质柱半径及分布,实现对某个波长的耦合,达到了高效率滤波的功能;改变外磁场的大小,影响铁氧体材料的磁导率变化,使谐振频率发生改变,从而对THz波进行滤波.应用平面波展开法(PWM)和时域差分有限法(FDTD)进行仿真分析,研究结果表明,该滤波器其插入损耗为0.0997 d B,3 d B带宽为8.22 GHz,实现了低损耗窄带滤波.  相似文献

The application of inverse filter designs as a means of providing improved communication performance in acoustic environments is investigated. Tikhonov regularized inverse filters of channel transfer functions calculated in the frequency domain are used as a means of obtaining multi-channel filters. Three classifications of inverse filter structures have been considered using time-domain simulations. The performance of Tikhonov regularized inverse filters designed according to each of these classifications is compared with each other and against a filter design developed by Stojanovic [Stojanovic, M. (2005). "Retrofocusing techniques for high rate acoustic communications," J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 117, 1173-1185]. It is shown that the filter design developed by Stojanovic requires less regularization and outperforms the Tikhonov regularized inverse filter designs when communicating over a single channel. While the filter developed by Stojanovic is designed to use multiple transmitters to transmit to a single receiver, the filter was implemented in a multi-channel system and proposed to have a focusing similar to that obtained using time-reversal. It was found that for the scenario used in the simulation, the Tikhonov regularized inverse design for full multi-channel inversion achieved better focusing than the design by Stojanovic, where simulation results show 20 dB less cross-talk at the expense of around 2 dB loss in signal strength.  相似文献

为满足高功率微波系统功率容量和紧凑化需求,提出了一种新型波导双工器。选用过模波导进行设计以提高功率容量,引入三角形金属插片结构谐振腔设计滤波器并在其间引入波导弯头以实现紧凑化。采用微波网络方法对滤波器进行理论分析并设计了两个工作在X波段的滤波器,选择终端短路法确定T型结尺寸并组成双工器。利用电磁仿真软件建模优化和仿真模拟,并对实物进行测试。仿真与测试结果表明,该波导双工器单通道工作时的功率容量分别大于0.11 GW和0.12 GW,两个通道的传输效率分别大于83.9%和82.4%,通道间隔离度大于20 dB。此外还可以根据需求增加滤波器阶数和引入更多的波导弯头以提高空间利用率。  相似文献

We report the design of three frequency selective surface(FSS) filters used on the FengYun-4(FY-4) microwave satellite,which separate five-frequency bands in the frequency range of 50-429 GHz with the insertion loss less than 0.4 dB,and separation between adjacent channels more than 20 dB for either TE or TM incidence.Firstly,we briefly introduce the disadvantages of two types of FSS filter:waveguide-array FSS and printed FSS,which are commonly employed in the millimeter and sub-millimeter wave band.In order to meet the insertion loss requirement and specified spectral transmission response,we adopt a filter composed of two closely spaced freestanding metal plates,which contains an array of resonant ring slot elements.Computer simulation technology(CST) is used to optimize the structural dimensions of the resonant unit and interlayer separation.Numerical results show that these FSS filters exhibit transmission loss of less than 0.4 dB and separation between adjacent channels of more than 20 dB.Simulated transmission coefficients are in close agreement with the required specification,and even exceed the performance specifications.  相似文献

Simultaneous spatial and spectral filtering by an optical resonant filter has been characterized experimentally to furnish additional insight into the operation and applications of optical resonant filters. Our experimental study can be useful for applications that depend on spatial filtering, spectral filtering, spatial-spectral filtering, and polarization selectivity. One significant application is the integration of an optical resonant filter with semiconductor lasers to control the spatial-spectral radiation for optimum performance.  相似文献

基于开口谐振环上加载变容二极管设计可调谐滤波器,很好地实现了电磁波带隙的可调.在单环开口谐振环缝隙处或者双环开口谐振环的两环之间加载变容二极管,改变加载变容管上得的电压,改变该结构的分布参量而达到滤波器可调性能.同时通过数值计算分析了该滤波器结构对电磁波的频率响应函数,指出其形成电磁波带隙的物理机制,为了消除开口谐振环的磁谐振效应而关闭开口谐振环的缝隙实验进行了验证.研究表明基于变容管开口环的可调谐滤波器所形成的电磁波带隙中,有的带隙是源于磁谐振机制.有的带隙是源于电谐振机制.对该滤波器形成带隙物理机制的研究,可以更好地理解开口谐振环,有助于其在光学和微波波段器件的设计.  相似文献

Modified equations for coupled modes are used to develop a theory of longitudinal resonant mode filters. Theoretical and experimental results are compared. The design of a hybrid SAW-resonator filter where both longitudinal resonant modes and resonant modes of a ladder structure are used is proposed. 采用二维正方排列的光子晶体,根据微腔缺陷模和波导模共振耦合原理,设计了一种新型的多信道下载滤波器,该滤波器通过主波导、90°弯波导和共振微腔的组合,提高了各个信道下载波导的下载效率。利用二维时域有限差分法模拟了滤波器的传输特性,并理论分析了影响下载效率的因素,进一步对滤波器进行了优化,使得各信道下载波导的下载效率均在91%以上。模拟结果表明该滤波器能有效地实现光波的分波下载,传输谱信道波长间隔约为20nm,中心波长误差为±2nm,传输谱的最大半宽度为3.2nm,有良好的波长选择性,证实了增大下载波导和共振微腔的耦合区域可以有效地提高滤波器的下载效率。  相似文献

This paper reports our progress in developing parallel coupled-line filters based on Si-based VLSI backend interconnects for millimeter-wave applications. The resonant frequency of this coupled-line filter increases with increasing spacing-gap and with increasing IDM thickness. By using high resistivity substrate, the parallel coupled-line band-pass filter is extremely effective in reducing substrate loss, and also provides very low insertion loss, even at the millimeter-wave regime. In addition, the parallel coupled-line filter suitable for advanced system-on-a-chips at the millimeter wave application achieves high performance characteristics, which show low insertion loss, wide band, and compatibility with standard VLSI process.  相似文献

结合石墨烯场效应晶体管和机械谐振原理,研究了基于本地背栅石墨烯谐振沟道晶体管(RCT) 的高频机械信号直接读取方法.利用机械剥离法获得的石墨烯,提出了一种基于刻蚀技术的器件制备方法, 并实现了栅长和栅宽分别为1 μm的本地背栅RCT.实验结果表明,在室温下RCT的谐振频率范围为57.5–88.25 MHz.研究结果对加速石墨烯纳米机电系统和高频低噪声器件的应用有着重要作用. 关键词: 石墨烯 谐振沟道晶体管 纳米机电系统  相似文献

设计了一个多缺陷的一维光子晶体,并利用传输理论研究其透射谱.利用泰勒展式的一级近似,得到了缺陷模频率的解析表达式,进而得到紧束缚理论中的耦合因子.这些结论与实验结果或数值模拟相符合,可以很好地描述缺陷模的有关规律,对多通道滤波器的设计具有指导意义. 关键词: 光子晶体 缺陷模 紧束缚方法 耦合因子  相似文献
