Hereby we present the synthesis of several ruthenium(II) and ruthenium(III) dithiocarbamato complexes. Proceeding from the Na[trans‐RuIII(dmso)2Cl4] ( 2 ) and cis‐[RuII(dmso)4Cl2] ( 3 ) precursors, the diamagnetic, mixed‐ligand [RuIIL2(dmso)2] complexes 4 and 5 , the paramagnetic, neutral [RuIIIL3] monomers 6 and 7 , the antiferromagnetically coupled ionic α‐[RuIII2L5]Cl complexes 8 and 9 as well as the β‐[RuIII2L5]Cl dinuclear species 10 and 11 (L=dimethyl‐ (DMDT) and pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDT)) were obtained. All the compounds were fully characterised by elemental analysis as well as 1H NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. Moreover, for the first time the crystal structures of the dinuclear β‐[RuIII2(dmdt)5]BF4 ? CHCl3 ? CH3CN and of the novel [RuIIL2(dmso)2] complexes were also determined and discussed. For both the mono‐ and dinuclear RuII and RuIII complexes the central metal atoms assume a distorted octahedral geometry. Furthermore, in vitro cytotoxicity of the complexes has been evaluated on non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) NCI‐H1975 cells. All the mono‐ and dinuclear RuIII dithiocarbamato compounds (i.e., complexes 6 – 10 ) show interesting cytotoxic activity, up to one order of magnitude higher with respect to cisplatin. Otherwise, no significant antiproliferative effect for either the precursors 2 and 3 or the RuII complexes 4 and 5 has been observed.  相似文献

Subtle ligand modifications on RuII-polypyridyl complexes may result in different excited-state characteristics, which provides the opportunity to tune their photo-physicochemical properties and subsequently change their biological functions. Here, a DNA-targeting RuII-polypyridyl complex (named Ru1 ) with highly photosensitizing 3IL (intraligand) excited state was designed based on a classical DNA-intercalator [Ru(bpy)2(dppz)] ⋅ 2 PF6 by incorporation of the dppz (dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine) ligand tethered with a pyrenyl group, which has four orders of magnitude higher potency than the model complex [Ru(bpy)2(dppz)] ⋅ 2 PF6 upon light irradiation. This study provides a facile strategy for the design of organelle-targeting RuII-polypyridyl complexes with dramatically improved photobiological activity.  相似文献

New compounds [Ru(pap)2(L)](ClO4), [Ru(pap)(L)2], and [Ru(acac)2(L)] (pap=2‐phenylazopyridine, L?=9‐oxidophenalenone, acac?=2,4‐pentanedionate) have been prepared and studied regarding their electron‐transfer behavior, both experimentally and by using DFT calculations. [Ru(pap)2(L)](ClO4) and [Ru(acac)2(L)] were characterized by crystal‐structure analysis. Spectroelectrochemistry (EPR, UV/Vis/NIR), in conjunction with cyclic voltammetry, showed a wide range of about 2 V for the potential of the RuIII/II couple, which was in agreement with the very different characteristics of the strongly π‐accepting pap ligand and the σ‐donating acac? ligand. At the rather high potential of +1.35 V versus SCE, the oxidation of L? into L. could be deduced from the near‐IR absorption of [RuIII(pap)(L.)(L?)]2+. Other intense long‐wavelength transitions, including LMCT (L?→RuIII) and LL/CT (pap.?→L?) processes, were confirmed by TD‐DFT results. DFT calculations and EPR data for the paramagnetic intermediates allowed us to assess the spin densities, which revealed two cases with considerable contributions from L‐radical‐involving forms, that is, [RuIII(pap0)2(L?)]2+?[RuII(pap0)2(L.)]2+ and [RuIII(pap0)(L?)2]+?[RuII(pap0)(L?)(L?)]+. Calculations of electrogenerated complex [RuII(pap.?)(pap0)(L?)] displayed considerable negative spin density (?0.188) at the bridging metal.  相似文献

Two symmetric tetrapodal ligands L1–2 and one asymmetric tetrapodal ligand L3 based on 4,5‐diazafluoren have been synthesized and characterized. Ligands L1–2 formed by the condensation of pentaerythrityl tetratosylate with 4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐oxime and 9‐(4‐hydroxy)phenylimino‐4,5‐diazafluorene, respectively. L3 was prepared by two steps, 9‐(4‐hydroxy)phenylimino‐4,5‐diazafluorene reacted with pentaerythrityl tetratosylate affording 1,1′,1"‐tris[(4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐ylimino)phenoxymethyl]‐1"′‐(p‐tosyloxymethyl)‐methane, which reacted with 4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐oxime affording the asymmetric ligand L3. Three tetranuclear RuII complexes [(bpy)8L1–3Ru4](PF6)8 (bpy = bipyridine) were obtained by the reaction of Ru(bpy)2Cl2 · 2H2O with ligands L1–3. Spectroscopic studies of these complexes exhibit metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer absorptions at 440–445 nm and emissions at 575–579 nm. The electrochemical behaviors of these complexes are consistent with one RuII‐based oxidation couple and three ligand‐centered reduction couples.  相似文献

An N-pyridyl-o-aminophenol derivative that stabilises mixed-valence states of ruthenium ions is disclosed. A diruthenium complex, [(LIQ0)Ru2Cl5] ⋅ MeOH ( 1⋅ MeOH) is successfully isolated, in which LIQ0 is the o-iminobenzoquinone form of 2-[(3-nitropyridin-2-yl)amino]phenol (LAPH2). In 1 , LIQ0 oriented towards one ruthenium centre is a non-innocent NO-donor redox ligand, whereas another oriented towards another ruthenium centre is an innocent pyridine-donor redox ligand. Complex 1 is a diruthenium(II,III) mixed-valence complex, [RuII(LIQ0)(μ-Cl)2RuIII], with a minor contribution from the diruthenium(III,III) state. [RuIII(LISQ.−)(μ-Cl)2RuIII] contains LISQ.−, which is the o-iminobenzosemiquinonate anion radical form of the ligand. Complexes 1 and 1 + are diruthenium(II,II), [RuII(LIQ0)(μ-Cl)2RuII], and diruthenium(III,III), [RuIII(LIQ0)(μ-Cl)2RuIII], complexes, respectively, of LIQ0. Complex 1 2− is a diruthenium(II,II) complex of the o-iminobenzosemiquinonate anion radical (LISQ.−), [RuII(LISQ.−)(μ-Cl)2RuII], with a minor contribution from the diruthenium(III,II) form, [RuIII(LAP2−)(μ-Cl)2RuII]. Complex 1 2+ is a diruthenium(III,IV) mixed-valence complex of LIQ0, [RuIII(LIQ0)(μ-Cl)2RuIV]. Complexes 1 and 1 2+ exhibit inter-valence charge-transfer transitions at λ=1300 and 1370 nm, respectively.  相似文献

The interactions of potentially dinucleating bridging functionalities (I–VI) with the ruthenium-bis(bypyridine) precursor [RuII(bpy)2(EtOH)2]2+have been explored. The bridging functionsI,II andVI directly result in the expected dinuclear complexes of the type [(bpy)2RuIILnRuII(bpy)2]z+ (1,2,7 and 8) (n = 0,z =4 andn = -2,z = 2). The bridging ligandIII undergoes N-N or N-C bond cleavage reaction on coordination to the RuII(bpy)2 core which eventually yields a mononuclear complex of the type [(bpy)2RuII(L)]+,3, where L =-OC6H3(R)C(R′)=N-H. However, the electrogenerated mononuclear ruthenium(III) congener, 3+in acetonitrile dimerises to [(bpy)2RuIII {-OC6H3(R)C(R′)=N-N=(R′)C(R)C6H3O-}RuIII(bpy)2]4+ (4). In the presence of a slight amount of water content in the acetonitrile solvent the dimeric species (4) reduces back to the starting ruthenium(II) monomer (3). The preformed bridging ligandIV undergoes multiple transformations on coordination to the Ru(bpy)2 core, such as hydrolysis of the imine groups ofIV followed by intermolecular head-to-tail oxidative coupling of the resultant amino phenol moieties, which in turn results in a new class of dimeric complex of the type [(bpy)2RuII -OC6H4-N=C6H3(=NH)O-RuII(bpy)2]2+ (5). In5, the bridging ligand comprises of twoN,O chelating binding sites each formally in the semiquinone level and there is ap-benzoquinonediimine bridge between the metal centres. In complex6, the preformed bridging ligand, 3,6-bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-1,2-dihydro-1,2,4,5-tetrazine, H2L (V) undergoes oxidative dehydrogenation to aromatic tetrazine based bridging unit, 3,6-bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine, L. The detailed spectroelectrochemical aspects of the complexes have been studied in order to understand the role of the bridging units towards the intermetallic electronic coupling in the dinuclear complexes.  相似文献

The ligands L1 and L2 both form separable dinuclear double‐stranded helicate and mesocate complexes with RuII. In contrast to clinically approved platinates, the helicate isomer of [Ru2( L1 )2]4+ was preferentially cytotoxic to isogenic cells (HCT116 p53?/?), which lack the critical tumour suppressor gene. The mesocate isomer shows the reverse selectivity, with the achiral isomer being preferentially cytotoxic towards HCT116 p53+/+. Other structurally similar RuII‐containing dinuclear complexes showed very little cytotoxic activity. This study demonstrates that alterations in ligand or isomer can have profound effects on cytotoxicity towards cancer cells of different p53 status and suggests that selectivity can be “tuned” to either genotype. In the search for compounds that can target difficult‐to‐treat tumours that lack the p53 tumour suppressor gene, [Ru2( L1 )2]4+ is a promising compound for further development.  相似文献

This article deals with the hitherto unexplored metal complexes of deprotonated 6,12‐di(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5,11‐dihydroindolo[3,2‐b]carbazole (H2L). The synthesis and structural, optical, electrochemical characterization of dimeric [{RuIII(acac)2}2(μ‐L.?)]ClO4 ([ 1 ]ClO4, S=1/2), [{RuII(bpy)2}2(μ‐L.?)](ClO4)3 ([ 2 ](ClO4)3, S=1/2), [{RuII(pap)2}2(μ‐L2?)](ClO4)2 ([ 4 ](ClO4)2, S=0), and monomeric [(bpy)2RuII(HL?)]ClO4 ([ 3 ]ClO4, S=0), [(pap)2RuII(HL?)]ClO4 ([ 5 ]ClO4, S=0) (acac=σ‐donating acetylacetonate, bpy=moderately π‐accepting 2,2’‐bipyridine, pap=strongly π‐accepting 2‐phenylazopyridine) are reported. The radical and dianionic states of deprotonated L in isolated dimeric 1 +/ 2 3+ and 4 2+, respectively, could be attributed to the varying electronic features of the ancillary (acac, bpy, and pap) ligands, as was reflected in their redox potentials. Perturbation of the energy level of the deprotonated L or HL upon coordination with {Ru(acac)2}, {Ru(bpy)2}, or {Ru(pap)2} led to the smaller energy gap in the frontier molecular orbitals (FMO), resulting in bathochromically shifted NIR absorption bands (800–2000 nm) in the accessible redox states of the complexes, which varied to some extent as a function of the ancillary ligands. Spectroelectrochemical (UV/Vis/NIR, EPR) studies along with DFT/TD‐DFT calculations revealed (i) involvement of deprotonated L or HL in the oxidation processes owing to its redox non‐innocent potential and (ii) metal (RuIII/RuII) or bpy/pap dominated reduction processes in 1 + or 2 2+/ 3 +/ 4 2+/ 5 +, respectively.  相似文献

A novel heterometallic diPdII–diCuII grid‐chain, {[(bpy)4Pd4Cu2L4](NO3)4}n ( 2 ; bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine), was synthesized through a programmable self‐assembly approach from the molecular corners [(bpy)2Pd2(HL)(L)](NO3) ( 1 ) as linkers with CuII nitrate by using the bifunctional H2L ligand featuring primary (pyrazole) and secondary (benzoic acid) groups. Structural analysis revealed that 1D structure 2 consists of one [Cu2(O2CPh)4]n unit as a bridge and two [(bpy)2Pd2L2]n corners. Additionally, the catalytic effect of the heterometallic synergy on the Suzuki coupling reaction by using 2 was further explored.  相似文献

DFT calculations are performed on [RuII(bpy)2(tmen)]2+ ( M1 , tmen=2,3‐dimethyl‐2,3‐butanediamine) and [RuII(bpy)2(heda)]2+ ( M2 , heda=2,5‐dimethyl‐2,5‐hexanediamine), and on the oxidation reactions of M1 to give the C?C bond cleavage product [RuII(bpy)2(NH=CMe2)2]2+ ( M3 ) and the N?O bond formation product [RuII(bpy)2(ONCMe2CMe2NO)]2+ ( M4 ). The calculated geometrical parameters and oxidation potentials are in good agreement with the experimental data. As revealed by the DFT calculations, [RuII(bpy)2(tmen)]2+ ( M1 ) can undergo oxidative deprotonation to generate Ru‐bis(imide) [Ru(bpy)2(tmen‐4 H)]+ ( A ) or Ru‐imide/amide [Ru(bpy)2(tmen‐3 H)]2+ ( A′ ) intermediates. Both A and A′ are prone to C?C bond cleavage, with low reaction barriers (ΔG) of 6.8 and 2.9 kcal mol?1 for their doublet spin states 2 A and 2 A′ , respectively. The calculated reaction barrier for the nucleophilic attack of water molecules on 2 A′ is relatively high (14.2 kcal mol?1). These calculation results are in agreement with the formation of the RuII‐bis(imine) complex M3 from the electrochemical oxidation of M1 in aqueous solution. The oxidation of M1 with CeIV in aqueous solution to afford the RuII‐dinitrosoalkane complex M4 is proposed to proceed by attack of the cerium oxidant on the ruthenium imide intermediate. The findings of ESI‐MS experiments are consistent with the generation of a ruthenium imide intermediate in the course of the oxidation.  相似文献

A simple electrochemical procedure to tailor thin polymeric films containing the [FeII(bpy)2(CH3CN)2]2+ and/or [FeII(bpy)3]2+-like cores have been described (bpy=2,2-bipyridine). The procedure is based on the electroreductive precipitation of soluble polymers prepared in situ in CH3CN by mixing Fe3+ ions and a bis bipyridyl ligand, (chiragen: chir). In the resulting [FeII(chir)(CH3CN)2]n2+ films, the two labile S ligands can be easily replaced by a bidentate ligand. This method has been applied with success to design a modified electrode with a supramolecular structure.  相似文献

The new compounds [(acac)2Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru(acac)2] ( 1 ), [(bpy)2Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru(bpy)2](ClO4)2 ( 2 ‐(ClO4)2), and [(pap)2Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru(pap)2](ClO4)2 ( 3 ‐(ClO4)2) were obtained from 3,6‐bis(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1,2,4,5‐tetrazine (H2boptz), the crystal structure analysis of which is reported. Compound 1 contains two antiferromagnetically coupled (J=?36.7 cm?1) RuIII centers. We have investigated the role of both the donor and acceptor functions containing the boptz2? bridging ligand in combination with the electronically different ancillary ligands (donating acac?, moderately π‐accepting bpy, and strongly π‐accepting pap; acac=acetylacetonate, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine pap=2‐phenylazopyridine) by using cyclic voltammetry, spectroelectrochemistry and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy for several in situ accessible redox states. We found that metal–ligand–metal oxidation state combinations remain invariant to ancillary ligand change in some instances; however, three isoelectronic paramagnetic cores Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru showed remarkable differences. The excellent tolerance of the bpy co ‐ ligand for both RuIII and RuII is demonstrated by the adoption of the mixed ‐ valent form in [L2Ru(μ‐boptz)RuL2]3+, L=bpy, whereas the corresponding system with pap stabilizes the RuII states to yield a phenoxyl radical ligand and the compound with L=acac? contains two RuIII centers connected by a tetrazine radical‐anion bridge.  相似文献

First examples of transition metal complexes with HpicOH [Cu(picOH)2(H2O)2] ( 1 ), [Cu(picO)(2,2′‐bpy)]·2H2O ( 2 ), [Cu(picO)(4,4′‐bpy)0.5(H2O)]n ( 3 ), and [Cu(picO)(bpe)0.5(H2O)]n ( 4 ) (HpicOH = 6‐hydroxy‐picolinic acid; 2,2′‐bpy = 2,2′‐bipyridine; 4,4′‐bpy = 4,4′‐bipyridine; bpe = 1,2‐bis(4‐pyridyl)ethane) have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The results show that HpicOH ligand can be in the enol or ketonic form, and adopts different coordination modes under different pH value of the reaction mixture. In complex 1 , HpicOH ligand is in the enol form and adopts a bidentate mode. While in complexes 2 – 4 , as the pH rises, HpicOH ligand becomes in the ketonic form and adopts a tridentate mode. The coordination modes in complexes 1 – 4 have not been reported before. Because of the introduction of the terminal ligands 2,2′‐bpy, complex 2 is of binuclear species; whereas in complexes 3 and 4 , picO ligands together with bridging ligands 4,4′‐bpy and bpe connect CuII ions to form 2D nets with (123)2(12)3 topology.  相似文献

The catalytic chemosensing assay (CCA), a new indicator displacement assay, was developed for selective detection of methomyl, a highly toxic pesticide. Trimetallic complex {[FeII(dmbpy)(CN)4]-[PtII(DMSO)Cl]2-[RuII(bpy)2(CN)2]} ( 1 ; dmbpy=4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine, bpy=2,2′-bipyridine) was synthesized as a task-specific catalyst to initially reduce and degrade methomyl to CH3SH/CH3NH2/CH3CN/CO2. The thus-produced CH3SH interacts with the trimetallic complex to displace the cis-[RuII(bpy)2(CN)2] luminophore for monitoring. Other pesticides, including organophosphates and similar carbamate pesticides, remained intact under the same catalytic conditions; a selective sensing signal is only activated when 1 recognizes methomyl. Furthermore, 1 can be applied to detect methomyl in real water samples. In the luminescent mode of the assay, the method detection limit (MDL) of 1 for methomyl (LD50=17 mg kg−1) was 1.12 mg L−1.  相似文献

The cationic cluster complexes [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L1 Me)(CO)10]+ ( 1 +; HL1 Me=N‐methylpyrazinium), [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L2 Me)(CO)10]+ ( 2 +; HL2 Me=N‐methylquinoxalinium), and [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L3 Me)(CO)10]+ ( 3 +; HL3 Me=N‐methyl‐1,5‐naphthyridinium), which contain cationic N‐heterocyclic ligands, undergo one‐electron reduction processes to become short lived, ligand‐centered, trinuclear, radical species ( 1 – 3 ) that end in the formation of an intermolecular C? C bond between the ligands of two such radicals, thus leading to neutral hexanuclear derivatives. These dimerization processes are selective, in the sense that they only occur through the exo face of the bridging ligands of trinuclear enantiomers of the same configuration, as they only afford hexanuclear dimers with rac structures (C2 symmetry). The following are the dimeric products that have been isolated by using cobaltocene as reducing agent: [Ru6(μ‐H)26‐κ4N2,C2‐(L1 Me)2}(CO)18] ( 5 ; from 1 +), [Ru6(μ‐H)26‐κ4N2,C2‐(L2 Me)2}(CO)18] ( 6 ; from 2 +), and [Ru6(μ‐H)24‐κ8N2,C6‐(L3 Me)2}(CO)18] ( 7 ; from 3 +). The structures of the final hexanuclear products depend on the N‐heterocyclic ligand attached to the starting materials. Thus, although both trinuclear subunits of 5 and 6 are face‐capped by their bridging ligands, the coordination mode of the ligand of 5 is different from that of the ligand of 6 . The trinuclear subunits of 7 are edge‐bridged by its bridging ligand. In the presence of moisture, the reduction of 3 + with cobaltocene also affords a trinuclear derivative, [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L3′ Me)(CO)10] ( 8 ), whose bridging ligand (L3′ Me) results from the formal substitution of an oxygen atom for the hydrogen atom (as a proton) that in 3 + is attached to the C6 carbon atom of its heterocyclic ligand. The results have been rationalized with the help of electrochemical measurements and DFT calculations, which have also shed light on the nature of the odd‐electron species, 1 – 3 , and on the regioselectivity of their dimerization processes. It seems that the sort of coupling reactions described herein requires cationic complexes with ligand‐based LUMOs.  相似文献

The clectrochemical behaviour of the complexes [RuII(L)(CO)2Cl2], [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N] and [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 (L = 2,2′-bipyridine or 4,4′-isopropoxycarbonyl-2,2′-bipyridine) has been investigated in CH3CN. The oxidation of [Ru(L)(CO)2Cl2] produces new complexes [RuIII(L)(CO)(CH3CN)2Cl]2+ as a consequence of the instability of the electrogenerated transient RuIII species [RuIII(L)(CO)2Cl2]+. In contrast, the oxidation of [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N] produces the stable [RuIII(L)(CO)Cl3] complex. In contrast [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 is not oxidized in the range up to the most positive potentials achievable. The reduction of [RuII(L)(CO)2Cl2] and [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 results in the formation of identical dark blue strongly adherent electroactive films. These films exhibit the characteristics of a metal-metal bond dimer structure. No films are obtained on reduction of [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N]. The effect of the substitution of the bipyridine ligand by electron-withdrawing carboxy ester groups on the electrochemical behaviour of all these complexes has also been investigated.  相似文献

The complete sequence of reactions in the base‐promoted reduction of [{RuII(CO)3Cl2}2] to [RuI2(CO)4]2+ has been unraveled. Several μ‐OH, μ:κ2‐CO2H‐bridged diruthenium(II) complexes have been synthesized; they are the direct results of the nucleophilic activation of metal‐coordinated carbonyls by hydroxides. The isolated compounds are [Ru2(CO)4(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)2(μ‐OH)(NPF‐Am)2][PF6] ( 1 ; NPF‐Am=2‐amino‐5,7‐trifluoromethyl‐1,8‐naphthyridine) and [Ru2(CO)4(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)(μ‐OH)(NP‐Me2)2][BF4]2 ( 2 ), secured by the applications of naphthyridine derivatives. In the absence of any capping ligand, a tetranuclear complex [Ru4(CO)8(H2O)23‐OH)2(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)4][CF3SO3]2 ( 3 ) is isolated. The bridging hydroxido ligand in 1 is readily replaced by a π‐donor chlorido ligand, which results in [Ru2(CO)4(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)2(μ‐Cl)(NP‐PhOMe)2][BF4] ( 4 ). The production of [Ru2(CO)4]2+ has been attributed to the thermally induced decarboxylation of a bis(hydroxycarbonyl)–diruthenium(II) complex to a dihydrido–diruthenium(II) species, followed by dinuclear reductive elimination of molecular hydrogen with the concomitant formation of the RuI? RuI single bond. This work was originally instituted to find a reliable synthetic protocol for the [Ru2(CO)4(CH3CN)6]2+ precursor. It is herein prescribed that at least four equivalents of base, complete removal of chlorido ligands by TlI salts, and heating at reflux in acetonitrile for a period of four hours are the conditions for the optimal conversion. Premature quenching of the reaction resulted in the isolation of a trinuclear RuI2RuII complex [{Ru(NP‐Am)2(CO)}{Ru2(NP‐Am)2(CO)2(μ‐CO)2}(μ33C,O,O′‐CO2)][BF4]2 ( 6 ). These unprecedented diruthenium compounds are the dinuclear congeners of the water–gas shift (WGS) intermediates. The possibility of a dinuclear pathway eliminates the inherent contradiction of pH demands in the WGS catalytic cycle in an alkaline medium. A cooperative binuclear elimination could be a viable route for hydrogen production in WGS chemistry.  相似文献

A bis(ruthenium–bipyridine) complex bridged by 1,8‐bis(2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyrid‐4′‐yl)anthracene (btpyan), [Ru2(μ‐Cl)(bpy)2(btpyan)](BF4)3 ([ 1 ](BF4)3; bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine), was prepared. The cyclic voltammogram of [ 1 ](BF4)3 in water at pH 1.0 displayed two reversible [RuII,RuII]3+/[RuII,RuIII]4+ and [RuII,RuIII]4+/[RuIII,RuIII]5+ redox couples at E1/2(1)=+0.61 and E1/2(2)=+0.80 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively, and an irreversible anodic peak at around E=+1.2 V followed by a strong anodic currents as a result of the oxidation of water. The controlled potential electrolysis of [ 1 ]3+ ions at E=+1.60 V in water at pH 2.6 (buffered with H3PO4/NaH2PO4) catalytically evolved dioxygen. Immediately after the electrolysis of the [ 1 ]3+ ion in H216O at E=+1.40 V, the resultant solution displayed two resonance Raman bands at $\tilde \nu $ =442 and 824 cm‐1. These bands shifted to $\tilde \nu $ =426 and 780 cm?1, respectively, when the same electrolysis was conducted in H218O. The chemical oxidation of the [ 1 ]3+ ion by using a CeIV species in H216O and H218O also exhibited the same resonance Raman spectra. The observed isotope frequency shifts (Δ$\tilde \nu $ =16 and 44 cm?1) fully fit the calculated ones based on the Ru? O and O? O stretching modes, respectively. The first successful identification of the metal? O? O? metal stretching band in the oxidation of water indicates that the oxygen–oxygen bond at the stage prior to the evolution of O2 is formed through the intramolecular coupling of two Ru–oxo groups derived from the [ 1 ]3+ ion.  相似文献

Covalently tethering photosensitizers to catalytically active 1T-MoS2 surfaces holds great promise for the solar-driven hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, we report the preparation of two new RuII-complex-functionalized MoS2 hybrids [RuII(bpy)2(phen)]-MoS2 and [RuII(bpy)2(py)Cl]-MoS2. The influence of covalent functionalization of chemically exfoliated 1T-MoS2 with coordinating ligands and RuII complexes on the HER activity and photo-electrochemical performance of this dye-sensitized system was studied systematically. We find that the photo-electrochemical performance of this RuII-complex-sensitized MoS2 system is highly dependent on the surface extent of photosensitizers and the catalytic activity of functionalized MoS2. The latter was strongly affected by the number and the kind of functional groups. Our results underline the tunability of the photovoltage generation in this dye-sensitized MoS2 system by manipulation of the surface functionalities, which provides a practical guidance for smart design of future dye-sensitized MoS2 hydrogen production devices towards improved the photofuel conversion efficiency.  相似文献

Highly efficient, visible light induced photocatalytic H2 production was achieved over a TiO2 system sensitized by binuclear RuII bipyridyl (bpy) complex [Ru2(bpy)4(BL)](ClO4)2 (BL=bridging ligand) without Pt loading, which is almost unaffected by pH in aqueous solution in the wide range from pH 5.00 to 10.50, although the dye molecules can only be loosely attached to TiO2 due to the absence of terminal carboxyl groups. The photocatalyst shows remarkable long‐term stability and reproducibility of H2 evolution even after exchanging the aqueous triethanolamine solution. The amount of H2 evolved over 100 mg of photocatalyst in 27 h of irradiation corresponds to a turnover number of about 75 340, and the apparent quantum yields are estimated to be 16.8 and 7.3 % under 420 and 475 nm monochromatic light irradiation, respectively. A comparative study shows that the loosely attached dye [Ru2(bpy)4(BL)](ClO4)2 has higher photosensitization efficiency than tightly linked dyes with terminal carboxyl groups, such as [Ru2(dcbpy)4(BL)](ClO4)2 and N719. It can be rationalized by their different coordination, physicochemical, electron‐injection, and back‐transfer properties.  相似文献
