Recently we reported Pd-catalyzed decarboxylative cross-coupling of cyanoacetate salts with aryl halides and triflates. This reaction shows good functional group tolerance and is useful for the synthesis of-aryl nitriles. To elucidate the mechanism for this reaction, we now carry out a density functional theory study on the cross-coupling of potassium cyanoacetate with bromobenzene. Our results show that the decarboxylation transition state involving the interaction of Pd with the-carbon atom has a very high energy barrier of +34.5 kcal/mol and therefore, must be excluded. Decarboxylation of free ion (or tight-ion-pair) also causes a high energy increase and should be ruled out. Thus the most favored decarboxylation mechanism corresponds to a transition state in which Pd interacts with the cyano nitrogen. The energy profile of the whole catalytic cycle shows that decarboxylation is the rate-determining step. The total energy barrier is +27.5 kcal/mol, which is comprised of two parts, i.e. the energy barrier for decarboxylation and the energy cost for transmetallation.  相似文献

The copper-catalyzed decarboxylative reactions of alkynyl carboxylic acids with aryl halides were performed under relatively mild reaction conditions. Benzofurans could be further prepared smoothly by a one-pot domino protocol on the basis of decarboxylative cross-coupling of 2-iodophenol.  相似文献

A new palladium catalyzed protocol for an atom-efficient cross-coupling reaction of triarylbismuths with aryl halides and triflates has been described. The palladium catalytic system with Cs2CO3 base was found to be very efficient in DMA solvent to furnish excellent yields of cross-coupled functionalized biaryls in short reaction times.  相似文献

A catalytic method for the decarboxylative coupling of 2-(azaaryl)carboxylates with aryl halides is described. The decarboxylative cross-coupling presented is mediated by a system catalytic in both palladium and copper without requiring stoichiometric amounts of organometallic reagents or organoboronic acids. This method circumvents additional synthetic steps required to prepare 2-azaaryl organometallics and organoborates as nucleophilic coupling partners, which are prone to protodemetallation and protodeborylation and produce potentially toxic byproducts.  相似文献

The palladium-catalyzed coupling of an aziridinylzinc chloride intermediate with alkenyl and aryl halides has been demonstrated. The method provides products with retention of aziridine stereochemistry. The utility of the coupling procedure is illustrated in the synthesis of structures related to l-furanomycin.  相似文献

Palladium catalyzed cystein thiol cross-coupling reactions with aryl and vinyl halides have been investigated: Pd2dba3-CHCl3 and dppf are the key choice in these reactions. The role of the base in these reactions was also questioned: it has been shown that base can be replaced by an HX-scavenger such as propylene oxide.  相似文献

Through the use of [PdCl(C3H5)]2/cis,cis,cis-1,2,3,4-tetrakis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)cyclopentane as a catalyst, a range of aryl bromides and chlorides undergoes Suzuki cross-coupling with alkylboronic acids in good yields. Several alkyl substituents such as ethyl, n-butyl, n-octyl, isobutyl or 2,2-dimethylpropyl on the alkylboronic acids have been successfully used. The functional group tolerance on the aryl halide is remarkable; substituents such as fluoro, methyl, methoxy, acetyl, formyl, benzoyl, nitro or nitrile are tolerated. Furthermore, this catalyst can be used at low loading, even for reactions of sterically hindered aryl bromides.  相似文献

Sonogashira coupling of aryl halides catalyzed by palladium on charcoal   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
With the proper choice of solvent, palladium on charcoal acts as an efficient catalyst in the Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction of aryl bromides. The catalytically active species in the process is probably palladium, which leaches into the solution but returns onto the surface of the charcoal at the end of the reaction.  相似文献

A new air- and moisture-stable palladium complex with salicylaldehyde N(4)-hexamethyleneiminylthiosemicarbazone has been synthesized. According to its crystal structure, the metal is bonded to 2 equiv monoanionic thiosemicarbazone moieties in a N,S-bidentate fashion, forming two five-membered chelate rings, while additional intramolecular bonds stabilize the structure. In contrast to other palladium complexes with thiosemicarbazones, this complex was inactive towards the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling under aerobic conditions, by conventional heating. On the other hand, microwave irradiation promoted the effective catalytic activity of the complex for the coupling of aryl bromides and chlorides with phenylboronic acid in DMF/H2O, under aerobic conditions, with turnover numbers of up to 37,000.  相似文献

A practical and high-yielding protocol for the dehalogenation of aromatic halides is presented. In the presence of palladium acetate, triphenylphosphine, and potassium carbonate, a number of highly functionalized aromatic halides as well as α-haloketones were dehalogenated with alcohols as hydrogen donors.  相似文献

A simple new protocol for the high yielding Suzuki-Miyaura cross-couplings of aryl chlorides with aryl boronic acids using a palladium/imidazolium salt catalytic system is presented. The first examples of a palladium/imidazolium salt protocol for sp3-sp3 Suzuki-Miyaura couplings of alkyl halides are also disclosed.  相似文献

An efficient catalytic protocol for Pd-catalyzed decarboxylative cross-coupling of potassium malonate monoesters and derivatives with aryl bromides and chlorides are described. Because of its broad applicability, this new catalytic system provides an alternative method for the preparation of diverse aryl acetic acids and derivatives.  相似文献

A palladium-catalyzed decarboxylative cross-coupling of potassium 2- and 4-nitrophenyl acetates with aryl chlorides and bromides has been developed. Because the nitro group can be readily converted to many other functional groups, the new reaction provides a useful method for the preparation of diverse 1,1-diaryl methanes and their derivatives.  相似文献

Aliphatic acid anhydrides are the versatile building blocks and the new method for the conversion of anhydrides is thus of great significance. Herein, we report the decarboxylative alkylation of aryl triflates with aliphatic acid anhydrides via nickel catalysis. This novel method provides a facile access to construct Csp2-Csp3 bond. In addition, this method is compatible with a broad array of functional groups and exhibits good substrates scope.  相似文献
