Phthalocyanine compounds of novel type based on a bridged bis‐ligand, denoted “intracavity” complexes, have been prepared. Complexation of clamshell ligand 1,1′‐[benzene‐1,2‐diylbis(methanediyloxy)]bis[9(10),16(17),23(24)‐tri‐tert‐butylphthalocyanine] (clam,tBuPc2H4, 1 ) with lanthanide(III) salts [Ln(acac)3] ? n H2O (Ln=Eu, Dy, Lu; acetylacetonate) led to formation of double‐deckers clam,tBuPc2Ln ( 2 a – c ). Formation of high molecular weight oligophthalocyanine complexes was demonstrated as well. The presence of an intramolecular covalent bridge affecting the relative arrangement of macrocycles was shown to result in specific physicochemical properties. A combination of UV/Vis/NIR and NMR spectroscopy, MALDI‐TOF mass‐spectrometry, cyclic voltammetry, and spectroelectrochemistry provided unambiguous characterization of the freshly prepared bis‐phthalocyanines, and also revealed intrinsic peculiarities in the structure–property relationship, which were supported by theoretical calculations. Unexpected NMR activity of the paramagnetic dysprosium complex 2 b in the neutral π‐radical form was observed and examined as well.  相似文献

Two series of heteroleptic crown-substituted tris(phthalocyaninate) complexes (Pc)Ln[(15C5)4Pc]Ln(Pc) and [(15C5)4Pc]Ln[(15C5)4Pc]Ln(Pc), where 15C5 is 15-crown-5, (Pc2−) is the phthalocyaninate dianion, Ln = Nd, Eu, Ho, Er, and Yb, were prepared by the reaction of tetra-15-crown-5-phthalocyanine H2[(15C5)4Pc] with the corresponding lanthanide acetylacetonates and lanthanum bis(phthalocyaninate) La(Pc)2, which was used as a phthalocyaninate dianion donor. The composition and structure of the synthesized complexes were confirmed by MALDI TOF mass spectrometry, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, and 1H NMR. Complete assignment of the proton resonance signals of the paramagnetic lanthanide complexes was based on analysis of lanthanide-induced shifts.  相似文献

A novel one-pot procedure starting from the corresponding M(acac)3 x nH2O, metal-free phthalocyanine H2Pc', and naphthalonitrile in the presence of DBU in n-octanol has been developed to prepare heteroleptic (naphthalocyaninato)(phthalocyaninato) rare earth double-decker complexes. A series of six sandwich compounds with different naphthalocyaninato ligands, phthalocyaninato ligands, and central rare earth metals, namely, Sm[Nc(tBu)4](Pc) [Nc(tBu)4 = 3(4),12(13),21(22),30(31)-tetra(tert-butyl)naphthalocyaninato; Pc = unsubstituted phthalocyaninato] (1), Sm(Nc)(Pc') [Pc' = Pc(OC5H11)4, Pc(OC8H17)8; Nc = 2,3-naphthalocyaninato; Pc(OC5H11)4 = 2(3),9(10),16(17),24(25)-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyaninato; Pc(OC8H17)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,24,25-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyaninato] (2, 3), and M(Nc)[Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4] [M = Sm, Eu, Y; Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4 = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyaninato] (4-6), have been isolated in good yields from this one-pot procedure demonstrating the generality of this synthetic pathway. In addition to spectroscopic analyses, the electrochemistry of these novel compounds has also been studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods.  相似文献

The homoleptic rare-earth pyrazolate complexes [Sc(tBu2pz)3], [Ln2(tBu2pz)6] (Ln = La, Nd, Sm, Lu), [Eu4(tBu2pz)8] and the mixed oxidation state species [Yb2(tBu2pz)5] (tBu2pz = 3,5-di-tert-butylpyrazolate) have been prepared by a simple reaction between the corresponding rare-earth metal and 3,5-di-tert-butylpyrazole, in the presence of mercury, at elevated temperatures. In addition, [Yb2(tBu2pz)6] was prepared by redox transmetallation/ligand exchange between ytterbium, diphenylmercury(II) and tBu2pzH in toluene, whilst the same reactants in toluene under different conditions or in diethyl ether gave [Yb2(tBu2pz)5]. The complexes of the trivalent lanthanoids display dimeric structures [Ln2(tBu2pz)6] (Ln = La, Nd, Yb, Lu) with chelating eta2-terminal and eta2:eta2-bridging pyrazolate coordination. The considerably smaller Sc3+ ion forms monomeric [Sc(tBu2pz)3] of putative D3h molecular symmetry, with pyrazolate ligands solely eta2-bonded. [Eu4(tBu2pz)8] is a structurally remarkable tetranuclear EuII complex with two types of europium centres in a linear array. The outer two are bonded to one terminal and two bridging pyrazolates, and the inner two are coordinated by four bridging ligands. Unprecedented mu-eta5:eta2 pyrazolate ligation is observed, with each outer Eu2+ sandwiched between two eta5-bonded pyrazolate groups, which are also eta2-linked to an inner Eu2+. The two inner Eu2+ ions are linked together by two equally occupied components of each of two symmetry related, disordered pyrazolate groups with one component eta4:eta2 bridging and one eta3:eta2 bridging. [La2(tBu2pz)6] has also been shown to be a Tishchenko reaction catalyst with several organic substrates.  相似文献

The cation-induced aggregation of sandwich crown-substituted complexes [Ln(R4Pc)2] (Ln = Lu (I) and Yb (II), R4Pc2? is the 4,5,4′,5′,4″,5″,4?,5?-tetrakis(1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxatridecamethylene)phthalocyaninate ion) and Ln2(R4Pc)3(Ln = Lu (III) and Yb (IV) in a CDCl3-DMSO-d 6 solution has been studied by 1H NMR. The data obtained are consistent with the conclusions concerning the composition of supramolecular aggregates drawn from spectrophotometric titration data. The molecules of double-decker complexes I and II form supramolecular oligomers, whereas triple-decker complexes III and IV form supramolecular dimers, which is presumably due to the stronger distortion of the planes of the outer decks of the triple-decker complexes as compared to their double-decker analogues.  相似文献

An effective one-step approach for the preparation of (porphyrinato)(phthalocyaninato) early lanthanides of type [Br(4)TPP]Ln[(15C5)(4)Pc]Ln[Br(4)TPP], where Br(4)TPP = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-(4-bromophenyl)-porphyrinato-ligand, (15C5)(4)Pc = tetrakis-(15-crown-5)-phthalocyaninato-ligand and Ln = La, Pr, Nd or Eu, is developed. The influence of various factors on the reaction pathway and yields of the complexes is investigated in detail. The developed protocol is found to be general for the early lanthanide subgroup. Variation of the synthetic conditions allowed the determination and isolation of possible side-products, namely heteroleptic double-deckers [Br(4)TPP]Ln[(15C5)(4)Pc] (Ln = Nd, Eu) and triple-decker [Br(4)TPP]Nd[(15C5)(4)Pc]Nd[(15C5)(4)Pc]. The peculiarities of the NMR lanthanide-induced shifts (LIS) of resonances of the synthesized triple-decker complexes are precisely investigated. The isostructurality of the synthesized complexes within the series as well as isostructurality with previously synthesized compounds is demonstrated in terms of two-nuclei analysis of LIS.  相似文献

Sodium and potassium tetrakis(3,5-di-tert-butylpyrazolato)lanthanoidate(III) complexes [M[Ln(tBu(2)pz)(4)]] have been prepared by reaction of anhydrous lanthanoid trihalides with alkali metal 3,5-di-tert-butylpyrazolates at 200-300 degrees C, and a 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene flux for M=K. On extraction with toluene (or occasionally directly from the reaction tube) the following complexes were isolated: [Na(PhMe)[Ln(tBu(2)pz)(4)]] (1 Ln; 1 Ln=1 Tb, 1 Ho, 1 Er, 1 Yb), [K(PhMe)[Ln(tBu(2)pz)(4)]].2 PhMe (2 Ln; 2 Ln=2 La, 2 Sm, 2 Tb, 2 Ho, 2 Yb, 2 Lu), [Na[Ln(tBu(2)pz)(4)]](n) (3 Ln; 3 Ln=3 La, 3 Tb, 3 Ho, 3 Er, 3 Yb), [K[Ln(tBu(2)pz)(4)]](n) (4 Ln; 4 Ln=4 La, 4 Nd, 4 Sm, 4 Tb, 4 Ho, 4 Er, 4 Yb, 4 Lu), with the last two classes generally being obtained by loss of toluene from 1 Ln or 2 Ln, and [Na(tBu(2)pzH)[Ln(tBu(2)pz)(4)]].PhMe (5 Ln; 5 Ln=5 Nd, 5 Er, 5 Yb). Extraction with 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) after isolation of 2 Ho yielded [K(dme)[Ho(tBu(2)pz)(4)]] (6 Ho). X-ray crystal structures of 1 Ln (=1 Tb, 1 Ho; P2(1)/c), 2 Ln (=2 La, 2 Sm, 2 Tb, 2 Yb, 2 Lu; Pnma), 3,4 Ln (=3 La, 3 Er, 4 Sm; P2(1)/m), and 5 Ln (=5 Nd, 5 Er, and 5 Yb; P1) show each group to be isomorphous regardless of the size of the Ln(3+) ion. All complexes contain eight-coordinate [Ln(eta(2)-tBu(2)pz)(4)] units. These are further linked to the alkali metal by bridging through two (1,2,5 Ln) or three (3,4 Ln) tBu(2)pz groups which show striking coordination versatility. Sodium is coordinated by an eta(4)-PhMe, a micro-eta(2):eta(2)-tBu(2)pz, and a micro-eta(4)(Na):eta(2)(Ln)-tBu(2)pz ligand in 1 Ln, and by one eta(1)-tBu(2)pzH and two micro-eta(3)(Na):eta(2)(Ln) ligands in 5 Ln. By contrast, potassium has one eta(6)-PhMe and two micro-eta(5)(K):eta(2)(Ln) ligands in 2 Ln. Classes 3,4 Ln form polymeric chains with the alkali metal bonded by two micro-eta(3)(NNC-M):eta(2)(Ln)-tBu(2)pz ligands within [MLn(tBu(2)pz)(4)] units which are joined together by eta(1)(C)-tBu(2)pz-Na, K linkages.  相似文献

Complexes (Salpren(tBu,tBu))Y[N(SiHMe2)2](thf) and (SALEN(tBu,tBu))La[N(SiHMe2)2](thf) (SALEN(tBu,tBu) = Salcyc(tBu,tBu) and Salpren(tBu,tBu)) were prepared from Ln[N(SiHMe2)2]3(thf)2 and H2SALEN(tBu,tBu). The yttrium complex was characterized by X-ray crystallography revealing intrinsic solid-state structural features: the metal centre is displaced by 1.05 angstroms from the [N2O2] least squares plane of a highly bent Salpren(tBu,tBu) ligand (angle(Ph,Ph) dihedral angle of 80.4(1) degrees ) and is coordinated asymmetrically by the silylamide ligand exhibiting one significant Y---(HSi) beta-agostic interaction (Y-N1-Si1, 106.90(9) degrees; Y---Si1, 3.2317(6) angstroms). Complexes (SALEN(tBu,tBu))Ln[N(SiHMe2)2](thf)n (n = 1, Sc; n = 2, Y, La) react with ammonium tetraphenylborate to form the ion pairs [(SALEN(tBu,tBu))Ln(thf)n][BPh4]. The cationisation was proven by X-ray crystal structure analyses of [(Salpren(tBu,tBu))Sc(thf)2][B(C6H5)4].2(thf) and [(Salpren(tBu,tBu))Ln(thf)3][B(C6H5)4].4(thf) (Ln = Y, La), showing an octahedral and pentagonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry, respectively.  相似文献

A series of palladium(II) complexes incorporating di-NHC-amine ligands has been prepared and their structural, dynamic and catalytic behaviour investigated. The complexes [trans-(kappa(2)-(tBu)CN(Bn)C(tBu))PdCl(2)] (12) and [trans-(kappa(2)-(Mes)CN(H)C(Mes))PdCl(2)] (13) do not exhibit interaction between the amine nitrogen and palladium atom respectively. NMR spectroscopy between -40 and 25 degrees C shows that the di-NHC-amine ligand is flexible expressing C(s) symmetry and for 13 rotation of the mesityl groups is prevented. In the related C(1) complex [(kappa(3)-(tBu)CN(H)C(tBu))PdCl][Cl] (14) coordination of NHC moieties and amine nitrogen atom is observed between -40 and 25 degrees C. Reaction between 12-14 and two equivalents of AgBF(4) in acetonitrile gives the analogous complexes [trans-(kappa(2)-(tBu)CN(Bn)C(tBu))Pd(MeCN)(2)][BF(4)](2) (15), [trans-(kappa(2)-(Mes)CN(H)C(Mes))Pd(MeCN)(2)][BF(4)](2) (16) and [(kappa(3)-(tBu)CN(H)C(tBu))Pd(MeCN)][BF(4)](2) (17) indicating that ligand structure determines amine coordination. The single crystal X-ray structures of 12, 17 and two ligand imidazolium salt precursors (tBu)C(H)N(Bn)C(H)(tBu)][Cl](2) (2) and [(tBu)C(H)N(H)C(H)(tBu)][BPh(4)](2) (4) have been determined. Complexes 12-14 and 15-17 have been shown to be active precatalysts for Heck and hydroamination reactions respectively.  相似文献

The synthesis of Group IV metal complexes that contain a tetradentate dianionic [OSSO]-carborane ligand [(HOC(6)H(2)tBu(2)-4,6)(2)(CH(2))(2)S(2)C(2 (B(10)H(10))] (1a) is described. Reactions of TiCl(4) and Ti(OiPr)(4) with the [OSSO]-type ligand 1a afford six-coordinated titanium complex [Ti(OC(6)H(2)tBu(2)-4,6)(2)(CH(2))(2)S(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))Cl(2)] (2a) and four-coordinated titanium complex [Ti(OC(6)H(2)tBu(2)-4,6)(2)(CH(2))(2)S(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))(OiPr)(2)] (2b), respectively. ZrCl(4) and HfCl(4) were treated with 1a to give six-coordinated zirconium complex [Zr(OC(6)H(2)tBu(2)-4,6)(2)(CH(2))(2)S(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))Cl(2) (thf)(2)] (2c) and six-coordinated hafnium complex [Hf(OC(6)H(2)tBu(2)-4,6)(2)(CH(2))(2)S(2)C(2)(B(10)H(10))Cl(2)] (2d). All the complexes were fully characterized by IR, NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. In addition, X-ray structure analyses were performed on complexes 2a and 2b and reveal the expected different coordination geometry due to steric hindrance effects. Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy was performed on complexes 2c and 2d to describe the coordination chemistry of this ligand around Zr and Hf. Six-coordinated titanium complex 2a showed good activity toward ethylene polymerization as well as toward copolymerization of ethylene with 1-hexene in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO) as cocatalyst (up to 1060 kg[mol(Ti)](-1) h(-1) in the case of 10 atm of ethylene pressure).  相似文献

Alpha-hydrogen abstraction and alpha-hydrogen migration reactions yield novel titanium(IV) complexes bearing terminal phosphinidene ligands. Via an alpha-H migration reaction, the phosphinidene ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=P[Trip](CH(2)(tBu) ((tBu)nacnac(-) = [Ar]NC((t)Bu)CHC((t)Bu)N[Ar], Ar = 2,6-(CHMe2)(2C6H3, Trip = 2,4,6-(i)Pr3C6H2) was prepared by the addition of the primary phosphide LiPH[Trip] to the nucleophilic alkylidene triflato complex ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=CH(t)Bu(OTf), while alpha-H abstraction was promoted by the addition of LiPH[Trip] to the dimethyl triflato precursor ((tBu)nacnac)Ti(CH)(2)(OTf) to afford ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=P[Trip](CH3). Treatment of ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=P[Trip](CH3) with B(C6F5)(3) induces methide abstraction concurrent with formation of the first titanium(IV) phosphinidene zwitterion complex ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=P[Trip]{CH3B(C6F5)(3)}. Complex ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=P[Trip]{CH3B(C6F5)(3)} [2 + 2] cycloadds readily PhCCPh to afford the phosphametallacyclobutene [((tBu)nacnac)Ti(P[Trip]PhCCPh)][CH3B(C6F5)(3)]. These titanium(IV) phosphinidene complexes possess the shortest Ti=P bonds reported, have linear phosphinidene groups, and reveal significantly upfielded solution 31P NMR spectroscopic resonances for the phosphinidene phosphorus. Solid state 31P NMR spectroscopic data also corroborate with all three complexes possessing considerably shielded chemical shifts for the linear and terminal phosphinidene functionality. In addition, high-level DFT studies on the phosphinidenes suggest the terminal phosphinidene linkage to be stabilized via a pseudo Ti[triple bond]P bond. Linearity about the Ti-P-C(ipso) linkage is highly dependent on the sterically encumbering substituents protecting the phosphinidene. Complex ((tBu)nacnac)Ti=P[Trip]{CH3B(C6F5))(3)} can catalyze the hydrophosphination of PhCCPh with H(2)PPh to produce the secondary vinylphosphine HP[Ph]PhC=CHPh. In addition, we demonstrate that this zwitterion is a powerful phospha-Staudinger reagent and can therefore act as a carboamination precatalyst of diphenylacetylene with aldimines.  相似文献

The complexes [Ln(AlMe4)3] (Ln=Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Ho, Lu) have been synthesized by an amide elimination route and the structures of [Lu{(micro-Me)2AlMe2}3], [Sm{(micro-Me)2AlMe2}3], [Pr{(micro-Me)2AlMe2}3], and [La{(micro-Me)2AlMe2}2{(micro-Me)3AlMe}] determined by X-ray crystallography. These structures reveal a distinct Ln3+ cation size-dependency. A comprehensive insight into the intrinsic properties and solution coordination phenomena of [Ln(AlMe4)3] complexes has been gained from extended dynamic 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopic studies, as well as 1D 89Y, 2D 1H/89Y, and 27Al NMR spectroscopic investigations. [Ce(AlMe4)3] and [Pr(AlMe4)3] have been used as alkyl precursors for the synthesis of heterobimetallic alkylated rare-earth metal complexes. Both carboxylate and siloxide ligands can be introduced by methane elimination reactions that give the heterobimetallic complexes [Ln{(O2CAriPr)2(micro-AlMe2)}2(AlMe4)(C6H14)n] and [Ln{OSi(OtBu)3}(AlMe3)(AlMe4)2], respectively. [Pr{OSi(OtBu)3}(AlMe3)(AlMe4)2] has been characterized by X-ray structure analysis. All of the cerium and praseodymium complexes are used as precatalysts in the stereospecific polymerization of isoprene (1-3 equivalents of Et2AlCl as co-catalyst) and compared to the corresponding neodymium-based initiators reported previously. The superior catalytic performance of the homoleptic complexes leads to quantitative yields of high-cis-1,4-polyisoprene (>98%) in almost all of the polymerization experiments. In the case of the binary catalyst mixtures derived from carboxylate or siloxide precatalysts quantitative formation of polyisoprene is only observed for nLn:nCl=1:2. The influence of the metal size is illustrated for the heterobimetallic lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, and gadolinium carboxylate complexes, and the highest activities are observed for praseodymium as a metal center in the presence of one equivalent of Et2AlCl.  相似文献

Novel anionic dialkyl, diaryl, and dihydride platinum(II) complexes based on the new "long-arm" hemilabile PCN-type ligand C6H4[CH2P(tBu)2](CH2)2N(CH3)2 with the general formula Li+[Pt(PCN)(R)2]- (R=Me (4), Ph (6) and H (9)) were prepared by reaction of [Pt(PCN)(R)] complexes (obtained from the corresponding chlorides) with an equivalent of RLi, as a result of the opening of the chelate ring. Alkylating agents based on other metals produce less stable products. These anionic d8 complexes are thermally stable although they bear no stabilizing pi acceptors. They were characterized by 1H, 31P[1H], 13C, and 7Li NMR spectroscopy; complex 9 was also characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography, showing that the Li+ ion is coordinated to the nitrogen atom of the open amine arm and to the hydride ligand (trans to the P atom) of a neighboring molecule (H--Li=2.15 A), resulting in a dimeric structure. Complexes 4 and 9 exhibit high nucleophilic reactivity, upon which the pincer complex is regenerated. Reaction of 4 with water, methyl iodide, and iodobenzene resulted in the neutral complex [Pt(PCN)(CH3)] (3) and methane, ethane, or toluene, respectively. Labeling studies indicate that the reaction proceeds by direct electrophilic attack on the metal center, rather than attack on the alkyl ligand. The anionic dihydride complex 9 reacted with water and methyl iodide to yield [Pt(PCN)(H)] (8) and H2 or methane, respectively.  相似文献

The f-electronic structures of the ground states of anionic bis(phthalocyaninato)lanthanides, [Pc(2)Ln](-) (Pc = dianion of phthalocyanine, Ln = Tb(3+), Dy(3+), Ho(3+), Er(3+), Tm(3+), or Yb(3+)), are determined. Magnetic susceptibilities of the powder samples of [Pc(2)Ln]TBA (TBA = tetra-n-butylammonium cation) in the range 1.8-300 K showed characteristic temperature dependences which resulted from splittings of the ground-state multiplets. NMR signals for the two kinds of protons on the Pc rings at room temperature were shifted to lower frequency with respect to the diamagnetic Y complex in Ln = Tb, Dy, and Ho cases, and to higher frequency in Er, Tm, and Yb cases. The ratios of the paramagnetic shifts of the two positions were near constant in the six cases. This indicates that the shifts are predominantly caused by the magnetic dipolar term, which is determined by the anisotropy of the magnetic susceptibility of the lanthanide ion. Using a multidimensional nonlinear minimization algorithm, we determined a set of ligand-field parameters that reproduces both the NMR and the magnetic susceptibility data of the six complexes simultaneously. Each ligand-field parameter was assumed to be a linear function of atomic number of the lanthanide. The energies and wave functions of the sublevels of the multiplets are presented. Temperature dependences of anisotropies in the magnetic susceptibilities are theoretically predicted for the six complexes.  相似文献

A synthetic method for a new unsymmetrical Schiff base and its Ln (III) complexes including multi groups is reported. The complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, 1H and13C NMR, especially 2D-COSY 1H, 1H NMR spectra. The general formula of the obtained complexes is [Ln3(TBLY)(NO3)3]\sdnH2O (Ln = La, n = 3; Ln = Nd, n=5; Ln = Gd, Dy, Yb, Y, n = 7), where TBLY = tetraglycol aldehyde-2,4-dihydroxy benzaldehyde bis-lysine Schiff base. In addition, the evidence for existence of group is supported by the AM1 method. The complexes obtained may be used as a catalyst. Conversion rate of 80% with the viscosity-average molecular weight 220000 for the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) without addition of any cocatalyst has been obtained.  相似文献

The first detection and characterization of the interactions between the f-electronic systems in the dinuclear complexes of paramagnetic trivalent Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb ions with phthalocyanine ligands are presented. The molar magnetic susceptibilities, chi(m), were measured for PcLnPcLnPc* ([Ln, Ln]; Pc = dianion of phthalocyanine, Pc* = dianion of 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octabutoxyphthalocyanine) and PcLnPcYPc* ([Ln, Y]) in the range from 1.8 K to room temperature. The selective synthetic method previously reported for the heterodinuclear complex [Y, Ln] was used to prepare [Ln, Ln] and [Ln, Y] with a modification on the choice of starting materials. The f-f interaction contributions to the magnetic susceptibility are evaluated as Delta(chi)(m)T = chi(m)([Ln, Ln])T - chi(m)([Ln, Y])T - chi(m)([Y, Ln])T, where T refers to temperature on the kelvin scale. The homodinuclear complexes having f(8)-f(10)-systems, namely [Tb, Tb], [Dy, Dy], and [Ho, Ho], show positive Delta(chi)(m)T values in the 1.8-50 K range, indicating the existence of ferromagnetic interaction between the f-systems. The magnitude of the Delta(chi)(m)T increases in the descending order of the number of f-electrons. [Er, Er] gives negative Delta(chi)(m)T values in the 1.8-50 K range, showing the antiferromagnetic nature of the f-f interaction. [Tm, Tm] exhibits small and negative Delta(chi)(m)T values, which gradually decline in the negative direction as the temperature decreases in the range 13-50 K and sharply rise in the positive direction as the temperature falls from 10 to 1.8 K. [Yb, Yb] has extremely small Delta(chi)(m)T values, whose magnitude at 2 K is less than 1% of that of [Tb, Tb]. The ligand field parameters of the ground-state multiplets of the six [Ln, Y] complexes are determined by simultaneous fitting to both the magnetic susceptibility data and paramagnetic shifts of (1)H NMR. The theoretical analysis successfully converged by assuming that each ligand field parameter is a function of the number of f-electrons in each ion. Using these parameters as well as the previously obtained corresponding parameters for the [Y, Ln] series, the interactions between the f-systems in [Ln, Ln] are investigated. All the characteristic observations above are satisfactorily reproduced with the assumption that the magnetic dipolar term is the sole source of the f-f interaction.  相似文献

A series of new neutral allyl Group 3 metal complexes bearing ansa-bridged fluorenyl/cyclopentadienyl ligands [[Flu-EMe(2)-(3-R-Cp)]Ln(eta(3)-C(3)H(5))(THF)] (E=C, R=H, Ln=Y (2), La (3), Nd (4), Sm (5); R=tBu, Ln=Y (8), Nd (9); E=Si, R=H, Ln=Y (12), Nd (13)) were synthesized in good yields via salt metathesis protocols. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, NMR spectroscopy for diamagnetic complexes, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies for 2, 4, 9 and 12. Some of the allyl ansa-lanthanidocenes, especially 4, are effective single-component catalysts for the polymerization of styrene, giving pure syndiotactic polystyrenes (rrrr > 99 %) with low to high molecular weights (M(n)=6000-135,000 g mol(-1)) and narrow polydispersities (M(w)/M(n)=1.2-2.6). The catalyst systems are remarkably stable, capable of polymerizing styrene up to 120 degrees C with high activities, while maintaining high syndiotacticity via chain-end control as established by a Bernoullian analysis. Highly effective copolymerization of styrene with ethylene was achieved using neodymium complex 4 (activity up to 2530 kg PS-PE mol(-1) h(-1)) to give true copolymers void of homopolymers with M(n)=9000-152,000 g mol(-1) and narrow polydispersities (M(w)/M(n)=1.2-2.5). The nature of the resultant P(S-co-E) copolymers was ascertained by NMR, size-exclusion chromatography/refractive index/UV, temperature rising elusion fractionation, and differential scanning calorimetry. It is shown that, regardless the amount of ethylene incorporated (1-50 mol %), P(S-co-E) copolymers have a microstructure predominantly made of long highly syndiotactic PS sequences separated by single or few ethylene units. Co-monomers feed and polymerization temperature can be used straightforwardly to manipulate with the physical and mechanical characteristics of the P(S-co-E) copolymers (molecular weights and distributions, co-monomer content, microstructure, T(m), T(g), T(c)).  相似文献

A novel series of double‐decker lanthanide(III) bis(phthalocyaninato)–C60 dyads [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)]–C60 (M=Sm, Eu, Lu; Pc=phthalocyanine) ( 1 a – c ) have been synthesized from unsymmetrically functionalized heteroleptic sandwich complexes [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] (Ln=Sm, Eu, Lu) 3 a – c and fulleropyrrolidine carboxylic acid 2 . The sandwich complexes 3 a – c were obtained by means of a stepwise procedure from unsymmetrically substituted free‐base phthalocyanine 5 , which was first transformed into the monophthalocyaninato intermediate [LnIII(acac)(Pc)] and further reacted with 1,2‐dicyanobenzene in the presence of 1,8‐diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec‐7‐ene (DBU). 1H NMR spectra of the bis(phthalocyaninato) complexes 3 a – c and dyads 1 a – c were obtained by adding hydrazine hydrate to solutions of the complexes in [D7]DMF, a treatment that converts the free radical double‐deckers into the protonated species, that is, [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)H] and [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)H]–C60. The electronic absorption spectra of 3 a – c and 1 a – c in THF exhibit typical transitions of free‐radical sandwich complexes. In the case of dyads 1 a – c , the spectra display the absorption bands of both constituents, but no evidence of ground‐state interactions could be appreciated. When the UV/Vis spectra of 3 a – c and 1 a – c were recorded in DMF, typical features of the reduced forms were observed. Cyclic voltammetry studies for 3 a – c and 1 a – c were performed in THF. The electrochemical behavior of dyads 1 a – c is almost the exact sum of the behavior of the components, namely the double‐decker [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] and the C60 fullerene, thus confirming the lack of ground‐state interactions between the electroactive units. Photophysical studies on dyads 1 a – c indicate that only after irradiation at 387 nm, which excites both C60 and [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] components, a photoinduced electron transfer from the [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] to C60 occurs.  相似文献

To tune the lanthanide luminescence in related molecular structures, we synthesized and characterized a series of lanthanide complexes with imidazole-based ligands: two tripodal ligands, tris{[2-{(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (Me(3)L), and tris{[2-{(imidazol-4-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (H(3)L), and the dipodal ligand bis{[2-{(imidazol-4-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (H(2)L). The general formulas are [Ln(Me(3)L)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(3)·3H(2)O (Ln = 3+ lanthanide ion: Sm (1), Eu (2), Gd (3), Tb (4), and Dy (5)), [Ln(H(3)L)(NO(3))](NO(3))(2)·MeOH (Ln(3+) = Sm (6), Eu (7), Gd (8), Tb (9), and Dy (10)), and [Ln(H(2)L)(NO(3))(2)(MeOH)](NO(3))·MeOH (Ln(3+) = Sm (11), Eu (12), Gd (13), Tb (14), and Dy (15)). Each lanthanide ion is 9-coordinate in the complexes with the Me(3)L and H(3)L ligands and 10-coordinate in the complexes with the H(2)L ligand, in which counter anion and solvent molecules are also coordinated. The complexes show a screw arrangement of ligands around the lanthanide ions, and their enantiomorphs form racemate crystals. Luminescence studies have been carried out on the solid and solution-state samples. The triplet energy levels of Me(3)L, H(3)L, and H(2)L are 21?000, 22?700, and 23?000 cm(-1), respectively, which were determined from the phosphorescence spectra of their Gd(3+) complexes. The Me(3)L ligand is an effective sensitizer for Sm(3+) and Eu(3+) ions. Efficient luminescence of Sm(3+), Eu(3+), Tb(3+), and Dy(3+) ions was observed in complexes with the H(3)L and H(2)L ligands. Ligand modification by changing imidazole groups alters their triplet energy, and results in different sensitizing ability towards lanthanide ions.  相似文献

The protonolysis reaction of heterobimetallic peralkylated complexes [Ln(AlR4)2]n (Ln=Sm, Yb; R=Me, Et) with 2 equiv of HOC 6H 2 tBu 2-2,6-Me-4 affords the bis(trialkylaluminum) adducts Ln[(micro-OArtBu,Me)(micro-R)AlR2]2 in good yields. Analogous reactions with the less sterically demanding iPr-substituted phenol result in ligand redistributions and formation of X-ray structurally evidenced Ln[(micro-OAriPr,H) 2AlR2]2 (Ln=Yb, R=Me; Ln=Sm, R=Et), Yb[(micro-OAriPr,H)(micro-Et)AlEt2]2(THF), and [Et2Al(micro-OAriPr,H) 2Yb(micro-Et)2AlEt2]2. The solid-state structures of serendipitous alumoxane complex Sm[(micro-OArtBu,Me)AlEt2OAlEt2(micro-OArtBu,Me)](toluene) and dimeric AlMe 3-adduct complex [(AlMe3)(micro-OArtBu,Me)Sm(micro-OArtBu,Me) 2Sm(micro-OArtBu,Me)(AlMe3)] were also determined by X-ray crystallography. While the former can be discussed as a typical hydrolysis product of Sm[(micro-OArtBu,Me)(micro-Et)AlEt2]2, the latter was isolated from the 1:1 reaction of [Sm(AlEt4)2]n with HOArtBu,Me.  相似文献
