Operator-Valued Fourier Multipliers on Multi-dimensional Hardy Spaces

The author establishes operator-valued Fourier multiplier theorems on multi-dimensional Hardy spaces H ^p ($ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} ^d ;X), where 1 ≤ p < ∞, d ∈ ℕ, and X is an AUMD Banach space having the property (α). The sufficient condition on the multiplier is a Marcinkiewicz type condition of order 2 using Rademacher boundedness of sets of bounded linear operators. It is also shown that the assumption that X has the property (α) is necessary when d ≥ 2 even for scalar-valued multipliers. When the underlying Banach space does not have the property (α), a sufficient condition on the multiplier of Marcinkiewicz type of order 2 using a notion of d-Rademacher boundedness is also given.     

Operator-valued Fourier Multipliers on Periodic Triebel Spaces

We establish operator-valued Fourier multiplier theorems on periodic Triebel spaces, where the required smoothness of the multipliers depends on the indices of the Triebel spaces. This is used to give a characterization of the maximal regularity in the sense of Triebel spaces for Cauchy problems with periodic boundary conditions.

SOME REMARKS CONCERNING THE DAUGAVET EQUATION

Abstract

We say that a normed space X has the Daugavet property (DP) if for every finite rank operator K in X the equality ∥I + T∥ = 1 + ∥T∥ holds. It is known that C[0,1] and L ₁[0,1] have DP. We prove that if X has DP then X has no unconditional basis. We also discuss anti-Daugavet property, hereditary DP-spaces and construct a strictly convex normed space having DP.     

Coercive boundary value problems for regular degenerate differential-operator equations

This study focuses on nonlocal boundary value problems (BVP) for degenerate elliptic differential-operator equations (DOE), that are defined in Banach-valued function spaces, where boundary conditions contain a degenerate function and a principal part of the equation possess varying coefficients. Several conditions obtained, that guarantee the maximal L_p regularity and Fredholmness. These results are also applied to nonlocal BVP for regular degenerate partial differential equations on cylindrical domain to obtain the algebraic conditions that ensure the same properties.

On maximal functions for Mikhlin-Hörmander multipliers

Given Mikhlin-Hörmander multipliers , with uniform estimates we prove an optimal bound in L^p for the maximal function and related bounds for maximal functions generated by dilations. These improve the results in [M. Christ, L. Grafakos, P. Honzík, A. Seeger, Maximal functions associated with multipliers of Mikhlin-Hörmander type, Math. Z. 249 (2005) 223-240].

Multipliers on the Set of Rademacher Series in Symmetric Spaces

Let E be a symmetric space on [0,1]. Let (,E) be the space of measurable functions f such that fg E for every almost everywhere convergent series g=b _n r _n E, where (r _n) are the Rademacher functions. It was shown that, for a broad class of spaces E, the space (,E) is not order isomorphic to a symmetric space, and we study the conditions under which such an isomorphism exists. We give conditions on E for (,E) to be order isomorphic to L . This includes some classes of Lorentz and Marcinkiewicz spaces. We also study the conditions under which (,E) is order isomorphic to a symmetric space that differs from L . The answer is positive for the Orlicz spaces E=L _q with _q(t)=exp|t|^q-1 and 0相似文献

Bounds on the order of the Schur multiplier of p-groups

In 1956, Green provided a bound on the order of the Schur multiplier of p-groups. This bound, given as a function of the order of the group, is the best possible. Since then, the bound has been refined numerous times by adding other inputs to the function, such as, the minimal number of generators of the group and the order of the derived subgroup. We strengthen these bounds by adding another input, the group's nilpotency class. The specific cases of nilpotency class 2 and maximal class are discussed in greater detail.
