It is shown that the Behrens radical of a polynomial ring, in either commuting or non-commuting indeterminates, has the form of “polynomials over an ideal”. Moreover, in the case of non-commuting indeterminates, for a given coefficient ring, the ideal does not depend on the cardinality of the set of indeterminates. However, in contrast to the Brown-McCoy radical, it can happen that the polynomial ring R[X] in an infinite set X of commuting indeterminates over a ring R is Behrens radical while the polynomial ring RX〉 in an infinite set Y of non-commuting indeterminates over R is not Behrens radical. This is connected with the fact that the matrix rings over Behrens radical rings need not be Behrens radical. The class of Behrens radical rings, which is closed under taking matrix rings, is described.  相似文献

Every finite dimensional Hopf algebra is a Frobenius algebra, with Frobenius homomorphism given by an integral. The Nakayama automorphism determined by it yields a decomposition with degrees in a cyclic group. For a family of pointed Hopf algebras, we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for this decomposition to be strongly graded.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the Composition-Diamond lemma for associative algebras with multiple linear operators. As applications, we obtain Gröbner-Shirshov bases of free Rota-Baxter algebra, free λ-differential algebra and free λ-differential Rota-Baxter algebra, respectively. In particular, linear bases of these three free algebras are respectively obtained, which are essentially the same or similar to the recent results obtained by K. Ebrahimi-Fard-L. Guo, and L. Guo-W. Let FG=F(u) be a central quadratic skew field extension (such that the generator u is central in G) and a natural (G,G)-bimodule. We deal with the matrix problem on finding a canonical form for rectangular matrices over W with help of left elementary transformations of their rows and right elementary transformations of columns over G. We classify gradings by arbitrary abelian groups on the classical simple Lie superalgebras P(n), n2, and on the simple associative superalgebras M(m,n), m,n1, over an algebraically closed field: fine gradings up to equivalence and G-gradings, for a fixed group G, up to isomorphism. As a corollary, we also classify up to isomorphism the G-gradings on the classical Lie superalgebra A(m,n) that are induced from G-gradings on M(m+1,n+1). We construct six unitary trace invariants for 2×2 quaternionic matrices which separate the unitary similarity classes of such matrices, and show that this set is minimal. We have discovered a curious trace identity for two unit-speed one-parameter subgroups of Sp(1). A modification gives an infinite family of trace identities for quaternions as well as for 2×2 complex matrices. We were not able to locate these identities in the literature. We prove two quaternionic versions of a well known characterization of triangularizable subalgebras of matrix algebras over an algebraically closed field. Finally we consider the problem of describing the semi-algebraic set of pairs (X,Y) of quaternionic n×n matrices which are simultaneously triangularizable. Even the case n=2, which we analyze in more detail, remains unsolved.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study systematically invariant subspaces of finitedimensional nilpotent operators. Our main motivation comes from classifying the similarity orbit in thelattice of invariant subspaces of a given nilpotent operator. A double Ore extension is a natural generalization of the Ore extension. We prove that a connected graded double Ore extension of an Artin-Schelter regular algebra is Artin-Schelter regular. Some other basic properties such as the determinant of the DE-data are studied. Using the double Ore extension, we construct 26 families of Artin-Schelter regular algebras of global dimension four in a sequel paper.  相似文献

By the length of a linear generalized polynomial (GP) ?(X), we mean the least positive integer n such that ?(X) can be represented in the form for some . We denote by L(?)=n the length of ?. By a central linear GP for A we mean a nonzero linear GP with central values on A.
