We consider the finite exceptional group of Lie type G=E6ε(q) (universal version) with 3|q?ε, where E6+1(q)=E6(q) and E6?1(q)=2E6(q). We classify, up to conjugacy, all maximal-proper 3-local subgroups of G, that is, all 3-local M<G which are maximal with respect to inclusion among all proper subgroups of G which are 3-local. To this end, we also determine, up to conjugacy, all elementary-abelian 3-subgroups containing Z(G), all extraspecial subgroups containing Z(G), and all cyclic groups of order 9 containing Z(G). These classifications are an important first step towards a classification of the 3-radical subgroups of G, which play a crucial role in many open conjectures in modular representation theory.  相似文献

We gave the calculate formula for characteristic multiplier of Hill's equation x+q(t)x=0 in case q(t)>0 and q(t)<0 in the papers of Shi et al. [The calculation for characteristic multiplier of Hill's equation, Appl. Math. Comput. 159 (2004) 57–77] and Shi et al. [The calculation for characteristic multiplier of Hill's equation in case q(t)<0, 167 (2005) 1130–1149], respectively. This work focuses on drift-diffusion equations with fractional dissipation (?Δ)α in the regime α(1/2,1). Our main result is an a priori Hölder estimate on smooth solutions to the Cauchy problem, starting from initial data with finite energy. We prove that for some β(0,1), the Cβ norm of the solution depends only on the size of the drift in critical spaces of the form Ltq(BMOx?γ) with q>2 and γ(0,2α?1], along with the Lx2 norm of the initial datum. The proof uses the Caffarelli/Vasseur variant of De Giorgi's method for non-local equations.  相似文献

Let b(n) be the number of -regular partitions of n. We show that the generating functions of b(n) with =3,5,6,7 and 10 are congruent to the products of two items of Ramanujan's theta functions ψ(q), f(q) and (q;q)3 modulo 3, 5 and 7. So we can express these generating functions as double summations in q. Based on the properties of binary quadratic forms, we obtain vanishing properties of the coefficients of these series. This leads to several infinite families of congruences for b(n) modulo 3, 5 and 7.  相似文献

Let q be a positive integer. Recently, Niu and Liu proved that, if nmax?{q,1198?q}, then the product (13+q3)(23+q3)?(n3+q3) is not a powerful number. In this note, we prove (1) that, for any odd prime power ? and nmax?{q,11?q}, the product (1?+q?)(2?+q?)?(n?+q?) is not a powerful number, and (2) that, for any positive odd integer ?, there exists an integer Nq,? such that, for any positive integer nNq,?, the product (1?+q?)(2?+q?)?(n?+q?) is not a powerful number.  相似文献

Denote the sum of element orders in a finite group G by ψ(G) and let Cn denote the cyclic group of order n. Suppose that G is a non-cyclic finite group of order n and q is the least prime divisor of n. We proved that ψ(G)711ψ(Cn) and ψ(G)<1q?1ψ(Cn). The first result is best possible, since for each n=4k, k odd, there exists a group G of order n satisfying ψ(G)=711ψ(Cn) and the second result implies that if G is of odd order, then ψ(G)<12ψ(Cn). Our results improve the inequality ψ(G)<ψ(Cn) obtained by H. Amiri, S.M. Jafarian Amiri and I.M. Isaacs in 2009, as well as other results obtained by S.M. Jafarian Amiri and M. Amiri in 2014 and by R. Shen, G. Chen and C. Wu in 2015. Furthermore, we obtained some ψ(G)-based sufficient conditions for the solvability of G.  相似文献

Let p>3 be a prime. For each maximal subgroup H?GL(d,p) with |H|?p3d+1, we construct a d-generator finite p-group G with the property that Aut(G) induces H on the Frattini quotient G/Φ(G) and |G|?pd42. A significant feature of this construction is that |G| is very small compared to |H|, shedding new light upon a celebrated result of Bryant and Kovács. The groups G that we exhibit have exponent p, and of all such groups G with the desired action of H on G/Φ(G), the construction yields groups with smallest nilpotency class, and in most cases, the smallest order.  相似文献

Let Fq be a field of q elements, where q is a power of an odd prime p. The polynomial f(y)Fq[y] defined byf(y):=(1+y)(q+1)/2+(1y)(q+1)/2 has the property thatf(1y)=ρ(2)f(y), where ρ is the quadratic character on Fq.
