We investigate when an exact functor --Γ which induces a stable equivalence is part of a stable equivalence of Morita type. If Λ and Γ are finite dimensional algebras over a field k whose semisimple quotients are separable, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for this to be the case. This generalizes a result of Rickard’s for self-injective algebras. As a corollary, we see that the two functors given by tensoring with the bimodules in a stable equivalence of Morita type are right and left adjoints of one another, provided that these bimodules are indecomposable. This fact has many interesting consequences for stable equivalences of Morita type. In particular, we show that a stable equivalence of Morita type induces another stable equivalence of Morita type between certain self-injective algebras associated to the original algebras. We further show that when there exists a stable equivalence of Morita type between Λ and Γ, it is possible to replace Λ by a Morita equivalent k-algebra Δ such that Γ is a subring of Δ and the induction and restriction functors induce inverse stable equivalences.  相似文献

Suppose k is a field. Let A and B be two finite dimensional k-algebras such that there is a stable equivalence of Morita type between A and B. In this paper, we prove that (1) if A and B are representation-finite then their Auslander algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type; (2) The n-th Hochschild homology groups of A and B are isomorphic for all n≥1. A new proof is also provided for Hochschild cohomology groups of self-injective algebras under a stable equivalence of Morita type.  相似文献

Let A and B be two finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field, related to each other by a stable equivalence of Morita type. We prove that A and B have the same number of isomorphism classes of simple modules if and only if their 0-degree Hochschild Homology groups HH 0(A) and HH 0(B) have the same dimension. The first of these two equivalent conditions is claimed by the Auslander-Reiten conjecture. For symmetric algebras we will show that the Auslander-Reiten conjecture is equivalent to other dimension equalities, involving the centers and the projective centers of A and B. This motivates our detailed study of the projective center, which now appears to contain the main obstruction to proving the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for symmetric algebras. As a by-product, we get several new invariants of stable equivalences of Morita type.  相似文献

We prove that four different notions of Morita equivalence for inverse semigroups motivated by C-algebra theory, topos theory, semigroup theory and the theory of ordered groupoids are equivalent. We also show that the category of unitary actions of an inverse semigroup is monadic over the category of étale actions. Consequently, the category of unitary actions of an inverse semigroup is equivalent to the category of presheaves on its Cauchy completion. More generally, we prove that the same is true for the category of closed actions, which is used to define the Morita theory in semigroup theory, of any semigroup with right local units.  相似文献

In representation theory of finite groups, there is a well-known and important conjecture due to M. Broué. He conjectures that, for any prime p, if a p-block A of a finite group G has an abelian defect group D, then A and its Brauer correspondent p-block B of NG(D) are derived equivalent. We demonstrate in this paper that Broué's conjecture holds for two non-principal 3-blocks A with elementary abelian defect group D of order 9 of the O'Nan simple group and the Higman-Sims simple group. Moreover, we determine these two non-principal block algebras over a splitting field of characteristic 3 up to Morita equivalence.  相似文献

Invexity of a function is generalized. The new class of nonconvex functions, called B-(p,r)-invex functions with respect to η and b, being introduced, includes many well-known classes of generalized invex functions as its subclasses. Some properties of the introduced class of B-(p,r)-invex functions with respect to η and b are studied. Further, mathematical programming problems involving B-(p,r)-invex functions with respect to η and b are considered. The equivalence between saddle points and optima, and different type duality theorems are established for this type of optimization problems.  相似文献

We contribute to the classification of finite dimensional algebras under stable equivalence of Morita type. More precisely we give a classification of Erdmann’s algebras of dihedral, semi-dihedral and quaternion type and obtain as byproduct the validity of the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for stable equivalences of Morita type between two algebras, one of which is of dihedral, semi-dihedral or quaternion type.  相似文献

We say that an algebra A is periodic if it has a periodic projective resolution as an (A,A)-bimodule. We show that any self-injective algebra of finite representation type is periodic. To prove this, we first apply the theory of smash products to show that for a finite Galois covering BA, B is periodic if and only if A is. In addition, when A has finite representation type, we build upon results of Buchweitz to show that periodicity passes between A and its stable Auslander algebra. Finally, we use Asashiba’s classification of the derived equivalence classes of self-injective algebras of finite type to compute bounds for the periods of these algebras, and give an application to stable Calabi-Yau dimensions.  相似文献

A stable model category is a setting for homotopy theory where the suspension functor is invertible. The prototypical examples are the category of spectra in the sense of stable homotopy theory and the category of unbounded chain complexes of modules over a ring. In this paper we develop methods for deciding when two stable model categories represent ‘the same homotopy theory’. We show that stable model categories with a single compact generator are equivalent to modules over a ring spectrum. More generally stable model categories with a set of generators are characterized as modules over a ‘ring spectrum with several objects’, i.e., as spectrum valued diagram categories. We also prove a Morita theorem which shows how equivalences between module categories over ring spectra can be realized by smashing with a pair of bimodules. Finally, we characterize stable model categories which represent the derived category of a ring. This is a slight generalization of Rickard's work on derived equivalent rings. We also include a proof of the model category equivalence of modules over the Eilenberg-Mac Lane spectrum HR and (unbounded) chain complexes of R-modules for a ring R.  相似文献

The paper investigates the following problem. Let bimodules N, M yield a stable equivalence of Morita type between self-injective K-algebras A and E. Further, let bimodules S, T yield a stable equivalence of Morita type between self-injective K-algebras B and F. Then we want to know whether the functor M ? A  ? ? B S: mod(A ? K B op ) → mod(E ? K F op ) induces a stable equivalence between A ? K B op and E ? K F op . There is given a reduction of this problem to some smaller subcategories for self-injective algebras. Moreover, new invariants of stable equivalences of Morita type are constructed in a general case of arbitrary finite-dimensional algebras over a field.  相似文献

We define a 2-category structure (Pre-Orb) on the category of reduced complex orbifold atlases. We construct a 2-functor F from (Pre-Orb) to the 2-category (Grp) of proper étale effective groupoid objects over the complex manifolds. Both on (Pre-Orb) and (Grp) there are natural equivalence relations on objects: (a natural extension of) equivalence of orbifold atlases on (Pre-Orb) and Morita equivalence in (Grp). We prove that F induces a bijection between the equivalence classes of its source and target.  相似文献

We revisit a central result of Muhly and Solel on operator algebras of C*-correspondences. We prove that (possibly non-injective) strongly Morita equivalent C*-correspondences have strongly Morita equivalent relative Cuntz–Pimsner C*-algebras. The same holds for strong Morita equivalence (in the sense of Blecher, Muhly and Paulsen) and strong Δ-equivalence (in the sense of Eleftherakis) for the related tensor algebras. In particular, we obtain stable isomorphism of the operator algebras when the equivalence is given by a σ-TRO. As an application we show that strong Morita equivalence coincides with strong Δ-equivalence for tensor algebras of aperiodic C*-correspondences.  相似文献

In a recent paper, Erdmann determined which of the Schur algebras S(n, r) have finite representation type and described the finite type Schur algebras up to Morita equivalence. The present paper grew out of a desire to see Erdmann's results in the more general context of algebras which are quasi-hereditary in the sense of Cline et al. (1988). Weconsider here the class of quasi-hereditary algebras which have a duality fixing simples. This class includes the “generalized Schur algebras” defined and studied by the first author, and the Schur algebras themselves in particular. In the first part we describe the possible Morita types of the quasi-hereditary algebras of finite representation type over an algebraically closed field with duality fixing simples. This is then applied, in the second part, to give the block theoretic refinement of Erdmann's results.  相似文献

A finite poset X carries a natural structure of a topological space. Fix a field k, and denote by Db(X) the bounded derived category of sheaves of finite dimensional k-vector spaces over X. Two posets X and Y are said to be derived equivalent if Db(X) and Db(Y) are equivalent as triangulated categories.We give explicit combinatorial properties of X which are invariant under derived equivalence; among them are the number of points, the Z-congruency class of the incidence matrix, and the Betti numbers. We also show that taking opposites and products preserves derived equivalence.For any closed subset YX, we construct a strongly exceptional collection in Db(X) and use it to show an equivalence Db(X)?Db(A) for a finite dimensional algebra A (depending on Y). We give conditions on X and Y under which A becomes an incidence algebra of a poset.We deduce that a lexicographic sum of a collection of posets along a bipartite graph S is derived equivalent to the lexicographic sum of the same collection along the opposite .This construction produces many new derived equivalences of posets and generalizes other well-known ones.As a corollary we show that the derived equivalence class of an ordinal sum of two posets does not depend on the order of summands. Any étale Lie groupoid G is completely determined by its associated convolution algebra Cc(G) equipped with the natural Hopfalgebroid structure. We extend this result to the generalized morphisms between étale Lie groupoids: we show that any principal H-bundle P over G is uniquely determined by the associated Cc(G)-Cc(H)-bimodule Cc(P) equipped with the natural coalgebra structure. Furthermore, we prove that the functor Ccgives an equivalence between the Morita category of étale Lie groupoids and the Morita category of locally grouplike Hopf algebroids.  相似文献

In this paper we construct non-negative gradings on a basic Brauer tree algebra AΓ corresponding to an arbitrary Brauer tree Γ of type (m,e). We do this by transferring gradings via derived equivalence from a basic Brauer tree algebra AS, whose tree is a star with the exceptional vertex in the middle, to AΓ. The grading on AS comes from the tight grading given by the radical filtration. To transfer gradings via derived equivalence we use tilting complexes constructed by taking Green’s walk around Γ (cf. Schaps and Zakay-Illouz (2001) [17]). By computing endomorphism rings of these tilting complexes we get graded algebras.We also compute , the group of outer automorphisms that fix the isomorphism classes of simple AΓ-modules, where Γ is an arbitrary Brauer tree, and we prove that there is unique grading on AΓ up to graded Morita equivalence and rescaling.  相似文献
