We calculate the differential cross section for the weak, strangeness changing, electron scattering process, e + pΛ + ν, for incoming electron energies of 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and 6.0 GeV. We obtain as well contributions of the individual form factors to the differential cross sections. We find that the differential cross sections peak as the maximal scattering angle for the Λ is approached and that the peak height increases as the electron energy is increased. The behavior of the differential cross section near the maximal angle is discussed as is the possibility of observing this reaction in a facility such as TJNAF.  相似文献

The decay K ?e ? νπ 0 has been studied using in-flight decays detected with the ISTRA+ setup working at the 25-GeV negative secondary beam of the U-70 PS. About 130K events were used for the analysis. The λ + parameter of the vector form factor has been measured: λ +=0.0293±0.0015(stat.)±0.002(syst.). The limits on the possible tensor and scalar couplings have been derived: f T/f +(0)=?0.045±0.060(stat.) and f S/f +(0)=?0.019 ?0.016 +0.025 (stat.).  相似文献

The conversion decays φηe+e and ηγe+e were studied by the SND detector using φ-meson production in e+e-annihilation at VEPP-2M collider. The branching ratios of these decays were measured: Br(φηe+e)=(1.19±0.19±0.07)×10−4 and Br(ηγe+e)=(5.15±0.62±0.39)×10−3. The e+e-pair mass spectra and transition form factors were also studied.  相似文献

The ? → π+π?γγ and ? → π+π?η decays are sought in the experimental data obtained with the CMD-2 detector in the region of the ?-meson resonance. Upper limits ?(? → ππγγ)< 1.2 × 10?4 and ?(? → ππη) < 6.1 × 10?5 (both at a C.L. of 90%) are determined for the branching ratios of these decays.  相似文献

The e + e ? → ω, ρ → π0 e + e ? processes have been investigated in the experiments with Spherical Neutral Detector at the VEPP-2M e + e ? collider. The measurements provide the probability ?(ω → π0 e + e ?) = (0.761 ± 0.053 ± 0.064) × 10?3 of the ω → π0 e + e g- conversion decay and the upper limit ?(ρ → π0 e + e ?) < 1.2 × 10?5 (at 90% CL) for the ρ → π0 e + e ? decay. The transition form factor was measured at three values of the 4-momentum transfer squared.  相似文献

We present measurements of the γγ* → π^0 transition form factor for the momentum transfer range Q^2=4-40 GeV^2 and the γγ* → ηc transition form factor for the range Q^2=2-50 GeV^2. The current status of measurements of the meson-photon transition form factors for the η and η' mesons is discussed. The results of the measurement of the ηc mass, total and two-photon widths are also presented.  相似文献

We calculate the form factors for the heavy-to-light transitionsB,K by means of QCD sum rules using andK light-cone wave functions. Higher twist contributions as well as gluonic corrections are taken into account. The sensitivity to the shape of the leading-twist wave functions and effects ofSU (3)-breaking are discussed. The process pe e + is considered in the general case of polarized initial particles. A relation between the difference of the phases of the electromagnetic form factorsG M andG E in the time-like region and measurable asymmetries is derived. It is shown that the moduli of the form factors can be determined from measurements of the total unpolarized cross section and of the integral asymmetry for longitudinally polarized (or, transversely polarized) andp. The behaviour of the proton form factors at highq 2 in the time-like region is also discussed. From the Phragmén-Lindelöf's theorem it follows that the asymptotical behaviour of the form factors in the space-like and time-like regions must be the same. An analysis of experimental data in both regions based on perturbative QCD is presented.  相似文献

The decay rates of KL → 2γ and KS → 2γ have been measured at the CERN SPS. The results are Γ(KL→2γ)/χ(KL→2π0)=0.632±0.004±0.008 and Γ(KS→2γ)/Γ(KL→2γ)=2.3 ±1.0±0.4. This is the first observation of KS→2γ decays.  相似文献

The reactions π+ p→π+(K + K ? π+ π? p andppp(K + K ? π+ π?)p where the (K + K ? π+ π?) system is centrally produced have been studied at 85 GeV/c. 48% of the final state proceeds through single or double vector meson resonant production i.e.,K *0(890) (37%), ? (4%),ρ 0 (7%). Evidence is found for associatedK *0 (890) \(\bar K\) *o (890) production (6.4±1.1%) with a cross section ten times higher than that found for associated ? ? production in the same experiment.  相似文献

Meson-photon-photon transition form factors for S-, P-, and D-wave states are calculated, the meson being treated as a non-relativistic heavy-quark-antiquark pair. The full dependence on both photon virtualities is included. Cross-section formulas for charge-conjugation even mesons with Jp = 0, 0+, 1+, 2+, and 2 in electron-positron collisions are presented and numerical results for LEP energies are given. In particular, we find two-photon event rates for χc1, ηc(2S), and ηb(1S) within reach of LEP.With minor modifications to incorporate SU(3)-flavour breaking we estimate rates for 18 light mesons as well, based on the observation that their two-photon decay widths agree remarkably well with measured data. Finally we point out that e+e cross sections for 1+ states do not vanish at low Q2, the Landau-Yang suppression factors of the two-photon cross sections being compensated by the photon propagators.  相似文献

We analyze the B → ππ, πK modes in the light of the most recent B-factory data, and obtain the following new results: (i) the modes prefer γ = (74±6)°, which - together with |Vub/Vcb| - allows us to determine the "true" unitarity triangle and to search for CP-violating new-physics contributions to B0d- mixing; (ii) the B → πK puzzle reflected in particular by the low experimental value of the ratio Rn of the neutral B → πK rates persists and still favors new physics in the electroweak penguin sector with a new CP-violating phase ϕ ~ –90°, although now also ϕ ~ +90° can bring us rather close to the data; (iii) the mixing-induced CP asymmetry is a sensitive probe of the sign of this phase, and would currently favor ϕ ~ +90°, as well as the direct CP asymmetry of , which suffers, however, from large hadronic uncertainties; (iv) we investigate the sensitivity of our B → πK analysis to large non-factorizable SU(3)-breaking effects and find that their impact is surprisingly small so that it is indeed exciting to speculate on new physics; (v) assuming that new physics enters through Z0 penguins, we study the interplay between B → πK and rare B, K decays and point out that the most recent B-factory constraints for the latter have interesting implications, bringing us to a few scenarios for the future evolution of the data, where also the mixing-induced CP violation in plays a prominent r?le.  相似文献

K ±e ± νπ 0 decays have been studied using the KMN setup at the Institute for High Energy Physics (Protvino). The experiment has been performed in the 36-GeV/c hadron beams of the IHEP accelerator. The accumulated data allow us to select ~1.08M candidates for K e3 decays. Analyzing the Dalitz plot of these events, we estimate the linear slope of the charge form factor to be λ + = [30.44 ± 0.83(stat.) ± 0.74(syst.)] × 10?3.  相似文献
