The functionalization of polyoxometalates (POMs), especially with an amino group to yield organonitrogenous derivatives of POMs, is an efficient approach to the enrichment of their structures and the diversification of their properties for various applications. The mechanism for the formation of organonitrogenous-derivatized hexamolybdates was explored by investigating the monofunctionalization of the [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) ion with methylamine using the density functional theory (DFT) method. The calculations show that the direct imidoylization of hexamolybdate with methylamine is both kinetically and thermodynamically unfavorable. However, this imidoylization was found to take place readily in the presence of dimethylcarbodiimide (DMC), for which the free-energy barrier was calculated to be +32.5 kcal mol(-1) in acetonitrile. Moreover, various factors controlling the efficiency of the imidoylization were examined. The calculations show that [W(5)MoO(19)](2-) has a relatively lower reactivity than [Mo(6)O(19)](2-), and that the imidoylization of [W(6)O(19)](2-) is an unfavorable process. With respect to the effect of carbodiimides, it is found that the catalytic activity is directly proportional to the electron-withdrawing effects of the substituents. As to the reactivity of R-NH(2) , the computation results indicate that the free-energy barriers of the substitution reactions are linearly correlated with the basicity constants (pK(b)) of the amino groups. It is noteworthy that the introduction of the proton dramatically decreases the free-energy barrier of the imidoylization of [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) catalyzed by DMC to 24.3 kcal mol(-1) in acetonitrile.  相似文献

Bi-alkylimido functionalization of hexamolybdates has been developed and several novel di-substituted alkylimido hexamolybdates with n-butyl, cyclohexyl and tert-butylamines as the imido-releasing reagents have been synthesized in reasonable yields. Their structures have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis, and ESI mass spectrometry. Moreover, the structures of [Mo(6)O(17)(NCy)(2)](2-) and [Mo(6)O(17)(NCMe(3))(2)](2) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. It is notable that the compound (Bu(4)N)(2)[Mo(6)O(17)(NCy)(2)] crystallizes in polar space group Fdd2 with potential ferroelectricity. In addition, theoretical investigation of the reactivity and regioselectivity of bi-alkylimido functionalization has also been conducted. The calculation results show that more energy is required for the bi-functionalization process than for the mono-substitution process, and that the cis-bi-functionalization is the kinetically favored process while trans-[Mo(6)O(17)(NR)(2)](2-) is the thermodynamically favored product.  相似文献

The dependence of the optical properties of [C(12)H(12)N(4)O(2)AgPF(6)](2) (dimer-1) and [C(28)H(28)N(6)O(3)AgPF(6)](2) (dimer-2) on the arrangement of the oxime moieties in the molecule and in bulk crystals was investigated by means of time-dependent density functional theory. Dimer-1 with simple pyridine oxime ligands and a wavy arrangement has a smaller dipole moment and larger transition energy between the two states, and thus smaller third-order polarizabilities and two-photon absorption cross sections. Dimer-2 with extended pyridine oxime ligands and a ladder arrangement has a larger dipole moment and smaller transition energy between the two states, and thus larger third-order polarizabilities and two-photon absorption cross sections. The lowest energy absorption band is red-shifted for dimer-2 as compared with dimer-1, due to more pronounced pi-pi delocalization interactions and weaker hydrogen bonding in dimer-2. The electronic absorption spectra, frequency-dependent third-order polarizabilities, and two-photon absorption cross sections involve significant contributions from charge transfers from pi/pi* orbitals of the pyridine oxime ligands but no contribution from PF(6) (-) ions or H(2)O molecules in the wavelength range studied for the monomers and dimers of the C(12)H(12)N(4)O(2)AgPF(6) and C(28)H(28)N(6)O(3)AgPF(6) molecules. The third-order susceptibilities and two-photon absorption coefficients of bulk solids were estimated on the basis of the optical properties of the corresponding dimers, and the bulk material constructed from dimer-2 has the larger optical parameters of the two.  相似文献

A polyoxotetradecamolybdate cluster [Mo(14)O(38)(OAc)(6)](2-), which has a lacunary core of the Wells-Dawson structure, is isolated by the reduction of [Mo(6)O(19)](2-). The Mo(14) core is comprised of a mixed valence of [Mo(V)(4)Mo(VI)(10)], exhibiting multi-step reversible redox processes that experience both oxidation and reduction.  相似文献

A self-assembled cage compound consisting of four concave ligands and two square-planar-coordinated Pd(II) ions was found to quantitatively encapsulate a hexamolybdate dianion [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) in solution. The addition of 1 equiv more of [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) to the inclusion complex resulted in the formation of a precipitate from which single crystals were grown. X-ray analysis showed that a structural conversion had taken place upon crystallization: one hexamolybdate anion was found to be wrapped in a chiral, cyclic arrangement of three ligands in the absence of any Pd(II) ions to give a compound of the formula {[Mo(6)O(19)](2-)@(ligand)(3)+2H(+)}. We postulate the stabilization of this arrangement by attractive C-H···O and CF(3)-pyridine interactions.  相似文献

The tetra-n-butylammonium (TBA) salts of [((i)PrO)TiMo(5)O(18)](3-) 1 and [((i)BuO)TiMo(5)O(18)](3-) 2 were prepared by hydrolysis of mixtures of (TBA)(2)[Mo(2)O(7)], (TBA)(4)α-[Mo(8)O(26)] and Ti(OR)(4) (R = (i)Pr or (i)Bu) in acetonitrile. Treatment of (TBA)(3)1 with alcohols ROH afforded primary and tertiary alkoxide derivatives [(RO)TiMo(5)O(18)](3-) (R = Me 3, (t)Bu 4), whilst aryloxides [(ArO)TiMo(5)O(18)](3-) were prepared by reacting 1 with phenols ArOH (Ar = C(6)H(4)Me-4 5, and C(6)H(4)CHO-2 6). Oxo-bridged [(μ-O)(TiMo(5)O(18))(2)](6-)7 rather than the hydroxo derivative [(HO)TiMo(5)O(18)](3-) was obtained upon hydrolysis of 1. X-Ray crystal structures of TBA salts of anions 3-7 show that titanium is six-coordinate in all cases, although titanium sites are disordered over two trans positions in 3. Mo-O bond length alternation is observed in the Mo(4)O(4) planes of 4 and 7 and in one of the two independent anions in the structure of 3. In solution, (17)O NMR spectra are consistent with the higher anionic charge compared to [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) and reveal an order of basicity for the anions [LM'Mo(5)O(18)](3-) associated with the ability of {LM'}(3+) to donate/withdraw electron density from {Mo(5)O(18)}(6-). Protonolysis reactions of 1 and 3 were slower than for tungstate analogues and the possibility of initial protonation at TiOM (M = Mo) rather than TiOR (M = W) in a proton-assisted S(N)1 mechanism for ligand exchange in [(RO)TiM(5)O(18)](3-) is discussed.  相似文献

Orbital energies, ionization potentials, molecular constants, potential energy curves, and the excitation spectrum of O(2) are calculated using time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) with Tamm-Dancoff approximation (TDA). The calculated negative highest occupied molecular orbital energy (-epsilon(HOMO)) is compared with the energy difference ionization potential for five exchange correlation functionals consisting of the local density approximation (LDAxc), gradient corrected Becke exchange plus Perdew correlation (B(88X)+P(86C)), gradient regulated asymptotic correction (GRAC), statistical average of orbital potentials (SAOP), and van Leeuwen and Baerends asymptotically correct potential (LB94). The potential energy curves calculated using TDDFT with the TDA at internuclear distances from 1.0 to 1.8 A are divided into three groups according to the electron configurations. The 1pi(u) (4)1pi(g) (2) electron configuration gives rise to the X (3)Sigma(g) (-), a (1)Delta(g), and b (1)Sigma(g) (+) states; the 1pi(u) (3)1pi(g) (3) electron configuration gives rise to the c (1)Sigma(u) (-), C (3)Delta(u), and A (3)Sigma(u) (+) states; and the B (3)Sigma(u) (-), A (1)Delta(u), and f (1)Sigma(u) (+) states are determined by the mixing of two or more electron configurations. The excitation spectrum of the oxygen molecule, calculated with the aforementioned exchange correlation functionals, shows that the results are quite sensitive to the choice of functional. The LDAxc and the B(88X)+P(86C) functionals produce similar spectroscopic patterns with a single strongly absorbing band positioned at 19.82 and 19.72 eV, respectively, while the asymptotically corrected exchange correlation functionals of the SAOP and the LB94 varieties yield similar excitation spectra where the computed strongly absorbing band is located at 16.09 and 16.42 eV, respectively. However, all of the exchange correlation functionals yield only one strongly absorbing band (oscillator strength greater than 0.1) in the energy interval of 0-20 eV, which is assigned to a X (3)Sigma(g) (-) to (3)Sigma(u) (-) transition. Furthermore, the oxygen molecule has a rich spectrum in the energy range of 14-20 eV and no spin allowed absorption bands are predicted to be observed in the range of 0-6 eV.  相似文献

The Mo(3)SnS(4)(6+) single cube is obtained by direct addition of Sn(2+) to [Mo(3)S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](4+). UV-vis spectra of the product (0.13 mM) in 2.00 M HClO(4), Hpts, and HCl indicate a marked affinity of the Sn for Cl(-), with formation of the more strongly yellow [Mo(3)(SnCl(3))S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](3+) complex complete in as little as 0.050 M Cl(-). The X-ray crystal structure of (Me(2)NH(2))(6)[Mo(3)(SnCl(3))S(4)(NCS)(9)].0.5H(2)O has been determined and gives Mo-Mo (mean 2.730 ?) and Mo-Sn (mean 3.732 ?) distances, with a difference close to 1 ?. The red-purple double cube cation [Mo(6)SnS(8)(H(2)O)(18)](8+) is obtained by reacting Sn metal with [Mo(3)S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](4+). The double cube is also obtained in approximately 50% yield by BH(4)(-) reduction of a 1:1 mixture of [Mo(3)SnS(4)(H(2)O)(10)](6+) and [Mo(3)S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](4+). Conversely two-electron oxidation of [Mo(6)SnS(8)(H(2)O)(18)](8+) with [Co(dipic)(2)](-) or [Fe(H(2)O(6)](3+) gives the single cube [Mo(3)SnS(4)(H(2)O)(12)](6+) and [Mo(3)S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](4+) (up to 70% yield), followed by further two-electron oxidation to [Mo(3)S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](4+) and Sn(IV). The kinetics of the first stages have been studied using the stopped-flow method and give rate laws first order in [Mo(6)SnS(8)(H(2)O)(18)](8+) and the Co(III) or Fe(III) oxidant. The oxidation with [Co(dipic)(2)](-) has no [H(+)] dependence, [H(+)] = 0.50-2.00 M. With Fe(III) as oxidant, reaction steps involving [Fe(H(2)O)(6)](3+) and [Fe(H(2)O)(5)OH](2+) are implicated. At 25 degrees C and I = 2.00 M (Li(pts)) k(Co) is 14.9 M(-)(1) s(-)(1) and k(a) for the reaction of [Fe(H(2)O)(6)](3+) is 0.68 M(-)(1) s(-)(1) (both outer-sphere reactions). Reaction of Cu(2+) with the double but not the single cube is observed, yielding [Mo(3)CuS(4)(H(2)O)(10)](5+). A redox-controlled mechanism involving intermediate formation of Cu(+) and [Mo(3)S(4)(H(2)O)(9)](4+) accounts for the changes observed.  相似文献

The photochemical properties of homo- and heterometallic molybdate-based Lindqvist polyoxometalate clusters are investigated in a comparative study and it is shown that vanadium substitution can be used as a facile synthetic tool to optimize the visible light absorption and photocatalytic activity of the cluster. The mono-vanadium substituted unit, [VMo(5)O(19)](3-) shows light absorption up to 480 nm whereas the light absorption of the molybdate analogue [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) is mainly in the UV region below 400 nm. The electronic absorption properties of both clusters are further investigated using TD-DFT calculations which show that vanadium incorporation leads to the formation of low-energy O → V LMCT transitions. In comparative photochemical dye decomposition test reactions under UV and Vis irradiation, a higher reactivity is observed for [VMo(5)O(19)](3-) together with turnover numbers of more than 1600. In addition it is shown that under anaerobic conditions, the photoreaction proceeds faster than in the presence of oxygen, suggesting that oxygen acts as a quencher in one of the photoredox steps.  相似文献

Three polyoxometalate based ion pair solids (1-3), in which Co(III) (d(6)), Ni(II) (d(8)) and Zn(II) (d(10)) complexes of a tetra-aza macrocycle, Me(6)-trans-[14]-diene act as the cationic moieties, have been reported. The title complexes, formulated as [Co (C(16)H(32)N(4))(Cl)(2)](2)[Mo(6)O(19)] (1), [Ni(C(16)H(32)N(4))][W(6)O(19)]·DMSO·DCM (2) and [Zn(C(16)H(32)N(4))(Cl)](2)[W(6)O(19)] (3) (C(16)H(32)N(4) = Me(6)-trans-[14]-diene), are the first crystallographic paradigms where transition metal complexes of a Schiff condensed tetra-aza macrocycle have been associated with an isopolyanion, [M(6)O(19)](2-) (M = Mo(vi) and W(vi)). Compounds 1-3 have been characterized through routine spectroscopic analyses including elemental analysis and their structures have been unambiguously determined through single crystal X-ray crystallography. The molecules of compound 1 assemble obeying P1 (#2) space symmetry, whereas those of compounds 2 and 3 follow the higher symmetrical ensemble P2(1)/c (#14). The ESR spectral studies of compounds 1-3 have revealed their diamagnetic (low-spin) nature. The last part of this article describes the electrochemical properties of the title compounds.  相似文献

Configuration optimizations, excited state properties, and the frequency-dependent third-order nonlinear optical polarizabilities have been investigated on a series of methyl-silsesquioxane (MeT) cages [CH(3)SiO(1.5)](n) (n=4, 6, 8, and 10) using ab initio quantum mechanical methods coupled with the sum-over-states methods. The obtained electronic absorption spectra show a redshift as the cage size increases, and the absorption spectra are assigned as charge transfers from oxygen p type to silicon s type atomic orbitals. The calculated average third-order polarizabilities of in the three optical physical processes (third-harmonic generation, the electric-field-induced second-harmonic generation, and degenerate four-wave mixing) have wide nonresonance regions. For all the considered species, the values of gamma decrease in the order of [MeT](4)>[MeT](8)(C(2v))=[MeT](10)>[MeT](6)>[MeT](8)(O(h)).  相似文献

We test the performance of four‐component relativistic density functional theory by calculating the static and frequency‐dependent electric dipole–dipole polarizabilities of all (ground‐state) closed‐shell atoms up to Ra. We consider 12 nonrelativistic functionals, including three asymptotically shape‐corrected functionals, by using two smooth interpolation schemes introduced by the Baerends group: the gradient‐regulated asymptotic connection (GRAC) procedure and the statistical averaging of (model) orbital potentials (SAOP). Basis sets of doubly augmented triple‐zeta quality are used. The results are compared to experimental data or to accurate ab initio results. The reference static electric dipole polarizability of palladium has been obtained by finite‐field calculations using the coupled‐cluster singles, doubles, and perturbative triples method within this work. The best overall performance is obtained using hybrid functionals and their GRAC shape‐corrected versions. The performance of SAOP is among the best for nonhybrid functionals for Group 18 atoms but its precision degrades when considering the full set of atoms. In general, we find that conclusions based on results obtained for the rare‐gas atoms are not necessarily representative of the complete set of atoms. GRAC cannot be used with effective core potentials since the asymptotic correction is switched on in the core region.  相似文献

Three novel polyoxometalate derivatives decorated by transition metal complexes have been hydrothermally synthesized. Compound 1 consists of [PMo(VI)(6)Mo(V)(2)V(IV)(8)O(44)[Co (2,2'-bipy)(2)(H(2)O)](4)](3+) polyoxocations and [PMo(VI)(4-)Mo(V)(4)V(IV)(8)O(44)[Co(2,2'-bipy)(2)(H(2)O)](2)](3-) polyoxoanions, which are both built on mixed-metal tetracapped [PMo(8)V(8)O(44)] subunits covalently bonded to four or two [Co(2,2'-bpy)(2)(H(2)O)](2+) clusters via terminal oxo groups of the capping V atoms. Compound 2 is built on [PMo(VI)(8)V(IV)(6)O(42)[Cu(I)(phen)](2)](5-) clusters constructed from mixed-metal bicapped [PMo(VI)(8)V(IV)(6)O(42)](7-) subunits covalently bonded to two [Cu(phen)](+) fragments in the similar way to 1. The structure of 3 is composed of [PMo(VI)(9)Mo(V)(3)O(40)](6-) units capped by two divalent Ni atoms via four bridging oxo groups. 采用密度泛函理论方法探讨了取代Mo原子对[W6-nMonO19]2-,[Nb6-nMonO19]p-和[Ta6-nMonO19]p-体系的M—Ot(M=W,Nb,Ta)键的活化作用.计算结果表明,随着取代Mo原子数的增多,[M6-nMonO19]2-(M=W,Nb,Ta)中M—Ot键的键能逐渐减小,因此Mo原子的引入使M—Ot键活化.在[W6-nMonO19]2-中,Mo—Ot键的键能小于W—Ot键的键能,因此,Mo—Ot键比W—Ot键易断裂,与实验结果一致.而在[Nb6-nMonO19]p-和[Ta6-nMonO19]p-体系中,Mo—Ot键的键能大于M—Ot(M=Nb,Ta)键的键能.Nb和Ta原子的端氧Ot的电荷大于Mo原子的端氧Ot的电荷,初步预测,当[Nb6-nMonO19]p-和[Ta6-nMonO19]p-与有机胺反应时,Nb—Ot和Ta—Ot键优先断裂,易与有机胺的氮原子成键.  相似文献

应用密度泛函理论(DFT)方法对两种C60-多吡啶Ru(II)衍生物进行理论研究. 在TZP全电子基组优化构型基础上, 通过分析前线轨道组成, 探讨金属及配体对C60母体影响; 以LB及SAOP校正局域密度近似, 用含时密度泛函(TDDFT)方法, 考虑溶剂化效应, 计算化合物1和2的电子吸收光谱. 结果表明, 化合物1和2在气相与丙酮溶液中所对应的光谱值差异较为明显, 溶剂化效应使吸收光谱蓝移. 计算得到化合物1和2在丙酮溶液中电子光谱与实验值吻合较好, 低能跃迁多为金属参与的混合跃迁, 高能跃迁主要由C60与配体部分贡献.  相似文献

Four salts have been isolated combining the triarylmethane dye cations pararosaniline (PR(+)) and crystal violet (CV(+)) with the hexametalates [M(6)O(19)](2-) (M = Mo, W). A new hexatungstic acid H(2)[W(6)O(19)]·4dma (dma = dimethylacetamide) was isolated and is a useful synthon for hexatungstate salts. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction confirmed the presence of PR(+) and [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) ions in [PR](2)[Mo(6)O(19)]·6dmf (dmf = dimethylformamide). A number of charge-assisted hydrogen bonds N-H···O exist between the cation -NH(2) functions and the anion oxygen atoms. Comparative cyclic voltammetry of salts [A]Cl (A = PR, CV), [Bu(4)N](2)[M(6)O(19)](2-) and A(2)[M(6)O(19)] was established in MeCN and Me(2)SO solutions and of solids in contact with the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)amide [emim][tfsa]. In the molecular solvents, the reversible potential for the process [Mo(6)O(19)](2-/3-) is less negative than the first reduction processes of the dye cations. In contrast, that for [W(6)O(19)](2-/3-) is more negative. Spectro-electrochemistry and bulk electrolysis experiments reveal significantly different pathways in the two cases. In contrast, in the [emim][tfsa] medium, a positive shift in reduction potential of at least 400 mV is seen for the anion processes but relatively little change for the dye cation processes. This means that initial reduction of the anions always precedes that of the dyes, providing significant simplification of the complex voltammetric data. Chemically modified electrodes can be used in the ionic liquid because of slow dissolution kinetics. However, reduced anion salts dissolve rapidly, allowing dissolved phase electrochemistry to be examined. The electrochemistries of the oxidized salts A(2)[M(6)O(19)] are essentially those of the individual ions, although low level interaction of A(+) with reduced anions [M(6)O(19)](3-,4-) is evident. The work establishes protocols for synthesis and handling of intensely absorbing and relatively insoluble salts which can now be applied to systems containing more complex polyoxometalate anions.  相似文献

Three {Ru(p-cym)}(2+) (p-cym = p-cymene) derivatives of [Nb(6)O(19)](8-)-[Nb(6)O(19){Ru(p-cym)}](6-) (Nb(6)Ru(1)), trans-[Nb(6)O(19){Ru(p-cym)}(2)](4-) (t-Nb6Ru2), and [Nb(6)O(19){Ru(p-cym)}(4)] (Nb(6)Ru(4))--have been synthesized in water by reaction between [Ru(p-cym)Cl(2)](2) and the hexaniobate. In the solid state, Nb(6)Ru(1) and Nb(6)Ru(4) have been characterized by IR and EDX spectroscopies, whereas t-Nb(6)Ru(2) has been characterized by IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (crystal data for K(4)-trans-[Nb(6)O(19){Ru(p-cym)}(2)].14H(2)O (K(4)-t-Nb(6)Ru(2).14H(2)O). In solution, all compounds were characterized by (1)H NMR and ESI mass spectrometry analyses, and Nb(6)Ru(1) was also analyzed by (17)O NMR. These studies allowed a comparison of the differences in behaviour of the three complexes in water: Nb(6)Ru(1) is particularly stable, Nb(6)Ru(4) decomposes by loss of {Ru(p-cym)}(2+) fragments, and trans-[Nb(6)O(19){Ru(p-cym)}(2)](4-) isomerizes into cis-[Nb(6)O(19){Ru(p-cym)}(2)](4-). A rational mechanism for the isomerisation of t-Nb(6)Ru(2) is proposed on the basis of a kinetic study.  相似文献

The hydrothermal reactions of MoO(3), tetrapyridylporphyrin (tpypor), water, and the appropriate M(II) precursor yield the first examples of three-dimensional framework materials constructed from metal oxide and porphyrin subunits. Langmuir monolayers and LB films of the ring-shaped mixed-valence polyoxomolybdate [Mo142O429H10(H2O)49(CH3CO2)5(CH3CH2CO2)](30-) (Mo142) dissolved in the aqueous subphase have been successfully fabricated by using the adsorption properties of a DODA monolayer. Infrared and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy of the LB films indicates that Mo142 and DODA molecules are incorporated within these LB films. X-ray reflectivity experiments indicate that the LB films exhibit a well-defined lamellar structure formed by bilayers of DODA molecules alternating with monolayers of Mo142. Using behenic acid-modified hydrophobic quartz substrate is critical for the formation of the well-defined lamellar structure. From the values of the periodicity obtained by these experiments it is clear that the Mo142 clusters lie flat along the charged organic layers. AFM images also showed the flat and homogeneous films on the quartz substrates treated with behenic acid. Cyclic voltammograms of Mo142-LB films deposited on ITO substrates showed quasi-reversible oxidation/reduction waves with positive shift of the potential compared to the case of solution.  相似文献
