In this paper, we firstly extend some classical operators on Sasakian manifolds acting to 1-differentiable forms on Sasakian manifolds. Next in a similar manner with the study of C-harmonic forms, we define and extend such a study for the case of 1-differentiable forms on Sasakian manifolds.  相似文献

We consider the Green functions G for second-order noncoercive differential operators on homogeneous manifolds of negative curvature, being a semi-direct product of a nilpotent Lie group N and A=R +. Using some probabilistic and analytic techniques we obtain estimates for derivatives of the Green functions G with respect to the N and A-variables.  相似文献

Following Mark Kac, it is said that a geometric property of a compact Riemannian manifold can be heard if it can be determined from the eigenvalue spectrum of the associated Laplace operator on functions. On the contrary, D’Atri spaces, manifolds of type A{\mathcal{A}}, probabilistic commutative spaces, \mathfrakC{\mathfrak{C}}-spaces, \mathfrakTC{\mathfrak{TC}}-spaces, and \mathfrakGC{\mathfrak{GC}}-spaces have been studied by many authors as symmetric-like Riemannian manifolds. In this article, we prove that for closed Riemannian manifolds, none of the properties just mentioned can be heard. Another class of interest is the class of weakly symmetric manifolds. We consider the local version of this property and show that weak local symmetry is another inaudible property of Riemannian manifolds.  相似文献

In this paper, we give some sufficient conditions for the local uniqueness of solutions to nonsmooth variational inequalities where the underlying functions are H-differentiable and the underlying set is a closed convex set/polyhedral set/box/polyhedral cone. We show how the solution of a linearized variational inequality is related to the solution of the variational inequality. These results extend/unify various similar results proved for C 1 and locally Lipschitzian variational inequality problems. When specialized to the nonlinear complementarity problem, our results extend/unify those of C 2 and C 1 nonlinear complementarity problems.  相似文献

We show that for the Kauffman bracket skein module over the field of rational functions in variable A, the module of a connected sum of 3-manifolds is the tensor product of modules of the individual manifolds. Received: 12 January 1998 / Revised version: 15 September 1999  相似文献

We propose a generalization of the Hodge ddc-lemma to the case of hyperk?hler manifolds. As an application we derive a global construction of the fourth order transgression of the Chern character forms of hyperholomorphic bundles over compact hyperk?hler manifolds. In Section 3 we consider the fourth order transgression for the infinite-dimensional bundle arising from local families of hyperk?hler manifolds. We propose a local construction of the fourth order transgression of the Chern character form. We derive an explicit expression for the arising hypertorsion differential form. Its zero-degree part may be expressed in terms of the Laplace operators defined on the fibres of the local family.  相似文献

This paper deals with nonnegative nonsmooth generalized complementarity problem, denoted by GCP(f,g). Starting with H-differentiable functions f and g, we describe H-differentials of some GCP functions and their merit functions. We show how, under appropriate conditions on H-differentials of f and g, minimizing a merit function corresponding to f and g leads to a solution of the generalized complementarity problem. Moreover, we generalize the concepts of monotonicity, P 0-property and their variants for functions and use them to establish some conditions to get a solution for generalized complementarity problem. Our results are generalizations of such results for nonlinear complementarity problem when the underlying functions are C 1, semismooth, and locally Lipschitzian.  相似文献

In asymptotic expansions of resolvent traces Tr(A(P ? λ)?1) for classical pseudodifferential operators on closed manifolds, the coefficient C 0(A, P) of ( ? λ)?1 is of special interest, since it is the first coefficient containing nonlocal elements from A; moreover, it enters in index formulas. C 0(A, P) also equals the zeta function value at zero when P is invertible. C 0(A, P) is a trace modulo local terms, since C 0(A, P) ? C 0(A, P′) and C 0([A, A′], P) are local. By use of complex powers P s (or similar holomorphic families of order s), Okikiolu, Kontsevich and Vishik, Melrose and Nistor showed formulas for these trace defects in terms of residues of operators defined from A, A′, log P and log P′.

The present paper has two purposes. One is to show how the trace defect formulas can be obtained from the resolvents in a simple way without use of the complex powers of P as in the original proofs. We also give here a simple direct proof of a recent residue formula of Scott for C 0(I, P). The other purpose is to establish trace defect residue formulas for operators on manifolds with boundary, where complex powers are not easily accessible; we do this using only resolvents. We also generalize Scott's formula to boundary problems.  相似文献

In this paper we continue our work on Schwartz functions and generalized Schwartz functions on Nash (i.e. smooth semi-algebraic) manifolds. Our first goal is to prove analogs of the de-Rham theorem for de-Rham complexes with coefficients in Schwartz functions and generalized Schwartz functions. Using that we compute the cohomologies of the Lie algebra g of an algebraic group G with coefficients in the space of generalized Schwartz sections of G-equivariant bundle over a G-transitive variety M. We do it under some assumptions on topological properties of G and M. This computation for the classical case is known as the Shapiro lemma.  相似文献

In a recent paper, Gowda and Ravindran (Algebraic univalence theorems for nonsmooth functions, Research Report, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD 21250, March 15, 1998) introduced the concepts of H-differentiability and H-differential for a function f : R n R n and showed that the Fréchet derivative of a Fréchet differentiable function, the Clarke generalized Jacobian of a locally Lipschitzian function, the Bouligand subdifferential of a semismooth function, and the C-differential of a C-differentiable function are particular instances of H-differentials.In this paper, we consider two applications of H-differentiability. In the first application, we derive a necessary optimality condition for a local minimum of an H-differentiable function. In the second application, we consider a nonlinear complementarity problem corresponding to an H-differentiable function f and show how, under appropriate conditions on an H-differential of f, minimizing a merit function corresponding to f leads to a solution of the nonlinear complementarity problem. These two applications were motivated by numerous studies carried out for C 1, convex, locally Lipschitzian, and semismooth function by various researchers.  相似文献

If A is a Lie algebroid over a foliated manifold (M, F){(M, {\mathcal {F}})}, a foliation of A is a Lie subalgebroid B with anchor image TF{T{\mathcal {F}}} and such that A/B is locally equivalent with Lie algebroids over the slice manifolds of F{\mathcal F}. We give several examples and, for foliated Lie algebroids, we discuss the following subjects: the dual Poisson structure and Vaintrob's supervector field, cohomology and deformations of the foliation, integration to a Lie groupoid. In the last section, we define a corresponding notion of a foliation of a Courant algebroid A as a bracket–closed, isotropic subbundle B with anchor image TF{T{\mathcal {F}}} and such that B ^ /B{B^{ \bot } /B} is locally equivalent with Courant algebroids over the slice manifolds of F{\mathcal F}. Examples that motivate the definition are given.  相似文献

We show that the Hartogs phenomenon holds in minimal, weakly 2-pseudoconcave generic C R submanifolds of a Stein manifold with trivial normal bundle. We also prove some results concerning the local and/or global solvability of the tangential Cauchy-Riemann equations for smooth forms and currents on weakly q-pseudoconcave C R manifolds.  相似文献

We describe sets of partial Boolean functions being closed under the operations of superposition. For any class A of total functions we define the set ??(A) consisting of all partial classes which contain precisely the functions of A as total functions. The cardinalities of such sets ??(A) can be finite or infinite. We state some general results on ??(A). In particular, we describe all 30 closed sets of partial Boolean functions which contain all monotone and zero-preserving total Boolean functions.  相似文献

We study Hilbert functions of maximal CM modules over CM local rings. When A is a hypersurface ring with dimension d>0, we show that the Hilbert function of M with respect to is non-decreasing. If A=Q/(f) for some regular local ring Q, we determine a lower bound for e0(M) and e1(M) and analyze the case when equality holds. When A is Gorenstein a relation between the second Hilbert coefficient of M, A and SA(M)= (SyzA1(M*))* is found when G(M) is CM and depthG(A)≥d−1. We give bounds for the first Hilbert coefficients of the canonical module of a CM local ring and analyze when equality holds. We also give good bounds on Hilbert coefficients of M when M is maximal CM and G(M) is CM.  相似文献

Let AK[x 1,..., x n ] denote the polynomial ring in n variables over a field K. We will classify all the Gotzmann ideals of A with at most n generators. In addition, we will study Hilbert functions H for which all homogeneous ideals of A with the Hilbert function H have the same graded Betti numbers. These Hilbert functions will be called inflexible Hilbert functions. We introduce the notion of segmentwise critical Hilbert functions and show that segmentwise critical Hilbert functions are inflexible. Abstract

Given a C*-algebra A and a suitable set of derivations on A, we consider the algebras A n of n-differentiable elements of A as described in [B], before passing to an analysis of important classes of bounded linear maps between two such spaces. We show that even in this general framework, all the main features of the theory for the case C(m)(U)C (p) (V) where U and V are open balls in suitable Banach spaces, are preserved (see for example [A-G-L], [Gu-L], [Ja] and [L]). As part of the theory developed we obtain a non-trivial extension of the Kleinecke-Shirokov theorem in the category of C*-algebras to unbounded partially defined *-derivations. This indicates the existence of a single mathematical principle governing both the non-increasibility of differentiability by continuous homomorphisms and the untenability of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle for bounded observables.  相似文献

We compare and contrast various length vs Laplace spectra of compact flat Riemannian manifolds. As a major consequence we produce the first examples of pairs of closed manifolds that are isospectral on p-forms for some p ≠ 0, but have different weak length spectrum. For instance, we give a pair of 4-dimensional manifolds that are isospectral on p-forms for p = 1, 3and we exhibit a length of a closed geodesic that occurs in one manifold but cannot occur in the other. We also exhibit examples of this kind having different injectivity radius and different first eigenvalue of the Laplace spectrum on functions. These results follow from a method that uses integral roots of the Krawtchouk polynomials. We prove a Poisson summation formula relating the p-eigenvalue spectrum with the lengths of closed geodesics. As a consequence we show that the Laplace spectrum on functions determines the lengths of closed geodesics and, by an example, that it does not determine the complex lengths. Furthermore we show that orientability is an audible property for closed flat manifolds. We give a variety of examples, for instance, a pair of manifolds isospectral on functions (resp. Sunada isospectral) with different multiplicities of length of closed geodesies and a pair with the same multiplicities of complex lengths of closed geodesies and not isospectral on p-forms for any p, or else isospectral on p-forms for only one value of p ≠ 0.  相似文献

Let A be a field and C a noetherian A-algebra such that C q is a quotient ring of an equicharacteristic local regular ring for each prime ideal q of C We prove that if C is geometrically reduced over A and Ω C/A is flat, then C is regular. We apply this result to prove that a reduced ring homomorphism u :AC is regular when Ω C/A is a flat C-module and C is a complete noetherian local ring or a Nagata local ring. We also study the property of C being locally a complete intersection ring when the flat dimension of Ω C/A finite.  相似文献
