A novel one-pot procedure starting from the corresponding M(acac)3 x nH2O, metal-free phthalocyanine H2Pc', and naphthalonitrile in the presence of DBU in n-octanol has been developed to prepare heteroleptic (naphthalocyaninato)(phthalocyaninato) rare earth double-decker complexes. A series of six sandwich compounds with different naphthalocyaninato ligands, phthalocyaninato ligands, and central rare earth metals, namely, Sm[Nc(tBu)4](Pc) [Nc(tBu)4 = 3(4),12(13),21(22),30(31)-tetra(tert-butyl)naphthalocyaninato; Pc = unsubstituted phthalocyaninato] (1), Sm(Nc)(Pc') [Pc' = Pc(OC5H11)4, Pc(OC8H17)8; Nc = 2,3-naphthalocyaninato; Pc(OC5H11)4 = 2(3),9(10),16(17),24(25)-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyaninato; Pc(OC8H17)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,24,25-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyaninato] (2, 3), and M(Nc)[Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4] [M = Sm, Eu, Y; Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4 = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyaninato] (4-6), have been isolated in good yields from this one-pot procedure demonstrating the generality of this synthetic pathway. In addition to spectroscopic analyses, the electrochemistry of these novel compounds has also been studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods.  相似文献

Reaction of heteroleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) lanthanide compounds [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}] [H2Pc=unsubstituted phthalocyanine; H2Pc(OC8H17)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyanine] with monomeric complexes [(Pc)M(acac)] (Hacac=acetylacetone), both of which generated in situ, led to the isolation of heteroleptic phthalocyaninato-[2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyaninato] lanthainde(III) triple-decker complexes [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}] (M=Gd-Lu) (1-8) as the sole product. Heterodinuclear analogues [(Pc)Lu{Pc(OC8H17)8}M(Pc)] (M=Gd-Yb) (9-15) were obtained in a similar manner from the reaction of [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}] (M=Gd-Yb) and [(Pc)Lu(acac)]. The molecular structures of the herterodinuclear compound [(Pc)Lu{Pc(OC8H17)8}Er(Pc)] (13) and its homodinuclear counterparts [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}M(Pc)] (M=Er, Lu) (5, 8) have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis; these structures exhibit a symmetrical molecular structure with one inner planar Pc(OC8H17)8 ligand and two outer domed Pc ligands. In addition to various spectroscopic analyses, the electrochemistry of these compounds has also been studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, revealing the gradually enhanced pi-pi interactions among the phthalocyanine rings in the triple-deckers along with the lanthanide contraction.  相似文献

With the view to creating novel sandwich-type tetrapyrrole rare earth complexes toward potential applications in material science and chiral catalysis, two new optically active mixed (phthalocyaninato)(porphyrinato) rare earth triple-decker complexes with both (R)- and (S)-enantiomers [M(2)(Pc)(2)(TCBP)] {TCBP = Meso-tetrakis [3,4-(11,12:13,14-di(1',2'-naphtho)-1,4,7,10,15,18-hexaoxacycloeicosa-2,11,13-triene)-phenyl] porphyrinate; M = Eu (1), Y (2)} have been designed and prepared by treating optically active metal free porphyrin (R)-/(S)-H(2)TCBP with M(Pc)(2) in the presence of corresponding M(acac)(3)·nH(2)O (acac = acetylacetonate) in refluxing 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene (TCB). These novel mixed ring rare earth triple-decker compounds were characterized by a wide range of spectroscopic methods including MS, (1)H NMR, IR, electronic absorption, and magnetic circular-dichroism (MCD) spectroscopic measurements in addition to elemental analysis. Perfect mirror image relationship was observed in the Soret and Q absorption regions in the circular-dichroism (CD) spectra of the (R)- and (S)-enantiomers, indicating the optically active nature of these two mixed (phthalocyaninato)(porphyrinato) rare earth triple-decker complexes. This result reveals the effective chiral information transfer from the peripheral chiral binaphthyl units to the porphyrin and phthalocyanine chromophores in the triple-decker molecule because of the intense π-π interaction between porphyrin and phthalocyanine rings. In addition, their electrochemical properties have also been investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV).  相似文献

Three (1,8,15,22-tetrasubstituted phthalocyaninato)lead complexes Pb[Pc(alpha-OR)(4)] [H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(5)H(11))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine; H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(7)H(15))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(2,4-dimethyl-3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine; H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(10)H(7))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(2-naphthyloxy)phthalocyanine] (1-3) have been prepared as racemic mixtures by treating the corresponding metal-free phthalocyanines H(2)Pc(alpha-OR)(4) (4-6) with Pb(OAc)(2).3H(2)O in refluxing n-pentanol. The molecular structure of Pb[Pc(alpha-OC(5)H(11))(4)] (1) in the solid state has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. This compound, having a nonplanar structure, crystallizes in the monoclinic system with a P2(1)/c space group. Each unit cell contains two pairs of enantiomeric molecules, which are linked by weak coordination of the Pb atom of one molecule with an aza nitrogen atom and its neighboring oxygen atom from the alkoxy substituent of another molecule, forming a pseudo-double-decker supramolecular structure in the crystals with a short ring-to-ring separation, 2.726 A, and thus a strong ring-ring pi-pi interaction. The decreased molecular symmetry for these complexes has also been revealed by the NMR spectra of 1 and 2. The methyl protons of the 3-pentyloxy and 2,4-dimethyl-3-pentyloxy side chains of 1 and 2, respectively, are chemically inequivalent. In addition to the elemental analysis and various spectroscopic characterizations, these compounds have also been electrochemically studied. Two one-electron oxidations and up to five one-electron reductions have been revealed by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods.  相似文献

Study of intramolecular interactions in bimetallophthalocyanines by electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry. We have prepared and isolated in solid form a series of zinc–phthalocyanine (Pc) complexes (ZnPc, F8ZnPc, biZnPc, F12biZnPc). These compounds have been studied by means of cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemistry. The results evidence a dependency relation between the electronic structure and the peripheral substituents in the binuclear species.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of metal-free (H2-Pc) and metal-containing (Zn, Co, and Cu) derivatives of a symmetrically octa-substituted phthalocyanine derived from 4,5-bis[2-(phenylthio)ethoxy]phthalonitrile were carried out by microwave irradiation. The electrochemical properties of the metal-free phthalocyanine 4 and metallophthalocyanine complexes 5 and 6 were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. We have previously investigated the electrochemical properties of the tetra substituted 2-(phenylthio)ethoxy phthalocyanines. The reduction potential of the octa-substituted metal-free phthalocyanine shifted to more negative potential as a result of the electron donating of the 2-(phenylthio)ethoxy groups on the periphery compared to those of tetra substituted. The H2Pc and ZnPc demonstrated ligand-based electron transfer processes, while CoPc complex has a metal-based reduction process. Similar aggregation behavior was observed for octa-substituted phthalocyanines. The compounds were characterized using IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, elemental analysis, and MS spectral data.  相似文献

The synthesis, characterization and voltammetric and spectroelectrochemical properties of newly synthesized metal-free and metallo phthalocyanines (M = Co, Cu, Zn) containing four dialkylaminophenoxy or trialkylammoniumphenoxy substituents on peripheral positions have been presented in this work. The new compounds have been characterized by using elemental analysis, UV–Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and MS spectroscopic data. Phthalocyanines with trialkylammoniumphenoxy substituents are soluble in aqueous solution over a wide pH range, and these compounds are present as aggregated species in solution as confirmed by the blue shift of Q-bands in their electronic spectra. The electrochemical behavior of the phthalocyanines was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry on a platinum-working electrode in DCM and DMSO. The voltammetric and spectroelectrochemical measurements of the complexes show that while cobalt phthalocyanine gives both ligand- and metal-based redox processes, metal-free, zinc and copper phthalocyanine complexes give only ligand-based processes in harmony with common phthalocyanine complexes.  相似文献

Our efforts toward the development of the synthesis of a novel type of receptor ligand and its tetrasubstituted phthalocyanines, 2,9,16,23-tetrakis(6-hydroxyhexylsulfanyl) phthalocyanine, M[Pc(S–C6H13OH)4] (M = Zn(II), Cu(II), Co(II)), bearing sulfur and oxygen donor atoms on the periphery together with hexyl moieties, have been carried out together with spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization. The newly synthesized functional phthalocyanines were soluble in MeOH, EtOH, THF, DMF, CNP (α-chloronapthalene), DMSO and quinoline, and less soluble in i-PrOH and CH3CN. Cation binding abilities of the functional phthalocyanines with Ag+, Pd2+, Hg2+ and Cd2+, resulting in the formation of polynuclear phthalocyanine complexes, were evaluated by UV–Vis spectroscopic techniques. The spectroscopic properties of the complexes were affected strongly by the electron-donating sulfanyl units on the periphery. The cyclic voltammetry of the complexes were examined on a platinum electrode in DMSO. The new synthesized compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H and 13C NMR, MS (ESI and MALDI-TOF) and UV–Vis spectral data.  相似文献

A novel alcohol-soluble ionophore ligand and its non-peripherally tetrasubstituted functional 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(6-hydroxyhexylsulfanyl) metallophthalocyanines M[Pc(α-SC6H12OH)4] (M = Cu(II), Zn(II), Co(II); Pc = phthalocyanine) are reported. The aggregation and cation binding behaviors of the phthalocyanine compounds in the presence of soft AgI and PdII metal ions were investigated by using UV–Vis spectroscopy. The new compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C NMR, UV/Vis spectroscopy, ESI and MALDI–TOF–MS mass spectra. Voltammetric and in-situ spectroelectrochemical studies show that while copper and zinc phthalocyanine complexes give well-defined ring-based reduction and oxidation processes, the cobalt phthalocyanine gives both metal-based and ring-based redox processes which have reversible and diffusion controlled character.  相似文献

4-[2-(Phenylthio)ethoxy]phthalonitrile 3 was synthesized by nucleophilic displacement of nitro group in 4-nitrophthalonitrile with 2-(phenylthio)ethanol 1. The metal-free phthalocyanine 4 was prepared by the reaction of a dinitrile monomer with 2-(dimethylamino)ethanol. Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(I) phthalocyanines 5, 7, 8 were prepared by reaction of the dinitrile compound with the chlorides of Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(I) in DMAE. Zn(II) phthalocyanine 6, was prepared by reaction of the dinitrile compound with the acetates of Zn(II) in DMAE. Electrochemical behaviours of novel metal-free, Co(II) and Zn(II) phthalocyanines were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, potential differential pulse voltammetry techniques. The new compounds were characterized by a combination of IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV–Vis, elemental analysis and MS spectral data.  相似文献

Three heteroleptic tris(phathlocyaninato) dysprosium triple-decker complexes with different alkoxy groups at the peripheral positions of the medium phthalocyanine ligand (Pc)Dy[Pc(OCnH(2n+1))8]Dy(Pc) (n = 4, 8, 16) (I-III) {Pc = unsubstituted phthalocyaninate; Pc(OC4H9)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(butyloxy)phthalocyaninate; Pc(OC8H17)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyaninate; Pc(OC16H33)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(hexadecyloxy)phthalocyaninate} have been synthesized, and their aggregate behaviors in monolayer and multilayer solid films have been comparatively studied. The pure compounds and their 1:4 mixtures with stearic acid (SA) have been found to form a stable monolayer at the air/water interface with a tilted edge-on orientation of (Pc)Dy[Pc(OCnH(2n+1))8]Dy(Pc) molecules. In the pure monolayers of the three triple-decker compounds, wirelike molecular aggregates were observed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). Adding SA has been found to prevent triple-decker compounds (Pc)Dy[Pc(OC4H9)8]Dy(Pc) (I) and (Pc)Dy[Pc(OC8H17)8]Dy(Pc) (II) from forming large aggregates, and small domains with a diameter of ca. 10 nm were observed in the mixed monolayers. HRTEM studies revealed that two crystalline phases with rectangular and hexagonal lattice structure are present in the small domains. However, both pi-A isotherms and HRTEM studies indicated that the mixed monolayer of compound (Pc)Dy[Pc(OC16H33)8]Dy(Pc) (III) with SA did not show a difference from the corresponding pure monolayer. The SA molecules were pressed into the cavity above the phthalocyanine ring formed by the eight long hexadecyloxy side chains of the medium macrocycle ligand in III. The multilayer LB films of all of these triple deckers fabricated by the vertical dipping method showed very good layered structure as revealed by the multiple-order diffraction peaks in low-angle X-ray diffraction (LAXRD) patterns.  相似文献

The half-sandwich rare-earth complexes [M(III)(acac)(TClPP)] (M = Sm, Eu, Y; TClPP = meso-tetrakis(4-chlorophenyl)porphyrinate; acac = acetylacetonate), generated in situ from [M(acac)3] x n H2O and H2(TClPP), were treated with 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine [H2{Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4}] (Pc = phthalocyaninate) under reflux in n-octanol to yield both the neutral nonprotonated and protonated (phthalocyaninato)(porphyrinato) rare-earth double-decker complexes, [M(III){Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4}(TClPP)] (1-3) and [M(III)H{Pc(alpha-OC5H11)4}(TClPP)] (4-6), respectively. In contrast, reaction of [Y(III)(acac)(TClPP)] with 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-octakis(1-butyloxy)phthalocyanine [H2Pc(alpha-OC4H9)8] gave only the protonated double-decker complex [Y(III)H{Pc(alpha-OC4H9)8}(TClPP)] (7). These observations clearly show the importance of the number and positions of substituents on the phthalocyanine ligand in controlling the nature of the (phthalocyaninato)(porphyrinato) rare-earth double-deckers obtained. In particular, alpha-alkoxylation of the phthalocyanine ligand is found to stabilize the protonated form, a fact supported by molecular-orbital calculations. A combination of mass spectrometry, NMR, UV-visible, near-IR, MCD, and IR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction analyses, facilitated the differentiation of the newly prepared neutral nonprotonated and protonated double-decker complexes. The crystal structure of the protonated form has been determined for the first time.  相似文献

A series of heteroleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) europium(III) complexes, namely, Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)] (2), Eu(Pc)[Pc(opp-15C5)2] (3), Eu(Pc)[Pc(adj-15C5)2] (4), Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)3] (5), and Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)4] (6) [Pc = unsubstituted phthalocyaninate; Pc(15C5) = 2,3-(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate; Pc(opp-15C5)2 = 2,3,16,17-bis(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate; Pc(adj-15C5)2 = 2,3,9,10-bis(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate; Pc(15C5)3 = 2,3,9,10,16,17-tris(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate, Pc(15C5)4 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,24,25-tetrakis(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate], with one, two, three, and four 15-crown-5 voids attached at different positions of one of the two phthalocyaninato ligands in the double-decker molecules, have been devised and prepared by Eu(Pc)(acac)-induced (Hacac = acetylacetone) mixed cyclization of the two corresponding phthalonitriles in the presence of organic base 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) in n-pentanol. For the purpose of comparative studies, homoleptic counterparts Eu(Pc)2 (1) and Eu[Pc(15C5)4]2 (7) have also been prepared. These sandwich double-decker complexes have been characterized by a wide range of spectroscopic methods in addition to elemental analysis. Their electrochemistry has also been studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The molecular structure of Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)4] (6) has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Their supramolecular structure-formation properties, in particular for compounds 5 and 6 in the presence of potassium ions, have also been comparatively studied for the purpose of future functional investigation.  相似文献

In this study, we report a new ligand, 6-hexyloxy-3-[p-(3′,4′-dicyanophenoxy)phenyl]coumarin, and its fluorescent tetrasubstituted phthalocyanines {M[Pc(OBzCou)4], M = 2H, Zn(II), Co(II); Bz: Benzene}. The effect of the coumarin derivative on the intensity of the fluorescence spectra of the metal-free (H2Pc) and zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc) derivatives was investigated. The change of the emission properties of both the coumarin moieties and the phthalocyanine core in the presence of the metal ion and the ring-opening reaction of the coumarin were studied by means of steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy. The radiative decay of the Pcs and the treated coumarin substituents bound to the Pcs was examined. The novel chromogenic compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, Maldi-TOF, IR and UV–Vis spectral data. The photophysical properties of the Pcs are extensively affected by their state of aggregation: in particular, dimerization and aggregation result in a remarkable modification of the absorption and emission bands and may induce significant quenching of the usually strong Pc fluorescence. The electronic spectra exhibit a band of coumarin identity together with characteristic Q and B bands of the phthalocyanine core.  相似文献

The new ball-type metallo bisphthalocyanines (Co(2)Pc(2) and Zn(2)Pc(2)) were synthesized from the corresponding [4,4'-bis(dicoumaroylphthalonitrile)] which can be obtained from the reaction of 3,3'-methylenebis(4-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one) and 4-nitrophthalonitrile. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed and characterized by elemental analysis, UV/Vis, IR and (1)H NMR spectroscopies and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Solar cells of the configuration ITO/Co(2)Pc(2)/C60/Al and ITO/Zn(2)Pc(2)/C60/Al were fabricated. The effect of the thickness of the active Pc layer--the thickness of the Pc layer was varied from 15 to 80 nm--on solar cells parameters has been investigated. A nearly thickness independent open circuit voltage was observed in both structures. The maximum photovoltaic conversion efficiency, short circuit current and fill factor were observed in ITO/Zn(2)Pc(2)/C60/Al cell with 80 nm Pc layer to be 0.255%, 1 mA cm(-2) and 0.38, respectively. The redox properties of the ball-type complexes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, controlled-potential coulometry and in situ spectroelectrochemistry in DMSO-TBAP. The electrochemical measurements showed that the complexes form ring-based and/or metal-based mixed-valence species, due to the remarkable intramolecular interactions between the two metal phthalocyanine units. The Vulcan XC-72(VC)/Nafion(Nf)/Co(2)Pc(2) modified glassy carbon electrode showed much higher catalytic performance towards oxygen reduction, compared to the VC/Nf/Zn(2)Pc(2) modified one. It was found that the VC/Nf/Co(2)Pc(2) catalyst is nearly insensitive to the presence of methanol. In the presence of 1 M methanol in the electrolyte, the catalytic performance of the Co(2)Pc(2)-based catalyst in oxygen reduction was much better than that of the Pt-based one. Thus, it was shown that the VC/Nf/Co(2)Pc(2) catalyst can be a good alternative to VC/Nf/Pt as a cathode catalyst in direct methanol fuel cells.  相似文献

A novel series of double‐decker lanthanide(III) bis(phthalocyaninato)–C60 dyads [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)]–C60 (M=Sm, Eu, Lu; Pc=phthalocyanine) ( 1 a – c ) have been synthesized from unsymmetrically functionalized heteroleptic sandwich complexes [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] (Ln=Sm, Eu, Lu) 3 a – c and fulleropyrrolidine carboxylic acid 2 . The sandwich complexes 3 a – c were obtained by means of a stepwise procedure from unsymmetrically substituted free‐base phthalocyanine 5 , which was first transformed into the monophthalocyaninato intermediate [LnIII(acac)(Pc)] and further reacted with 1,2‐dicyanobenzene in the presence of 1,8‐diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec‐7‐ene (DBU). 1H NMR spectra of the bis(phthalocyaninato) complexes 3 a – c and dyads 1 a – c were obtained by adding hydrazine hydrate to solutions of the complexes in [D7]DMF, a treatment that converts the free radical double‐deckers into the protonated species, that is, [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)H] and [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)H]–C60. The electronic absorption spectra of 3 a – c and 1 a – c in THF exhibit typical transitions of free‐radical sandwich complexes. In the case of dyads 1 a – c , the spectra display the absorption bands of both constituents, but no evidence of ground‐state interactions could be appreciated. When the UV/Vis spectra of 3 a – c and 1 a – c were recorded in DMF, typical features of the reduced forms were observed. Cyclic voltammetry studies for 3 a – c and 1 a – c were performed in THF. The electrochemical behavior of dyads 1 a – c is almost the exact sum of the behavior of the components, namely the double‐decker [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] and the C60 fullerene, thus confirming the lack of ground‐state interactions between the electroactive units. Photophysical studies on dyads 1 a – c indicate that only after irradiation at 387 nm, which excites both C60 and [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] components, a photoinduced electron transfer from the [LnIII(Pc)(Pc′)] to C60 occurs.  相似文献

A series of amphiphilic heteroleptic tris(phthalocyaninato) europium complexes with hydrophilic poly(oxyethylene) heads and hydrophobic alkoxy tails {Pc[(OC2H4)2OCH3]8}Eu{Pc[(OC2H4)2OCH3]8}Eu[Pc(OCnH2n + 1)8] (n = 6, 8, 10,12) (1-4) were designed and prepared from the reaction between homoleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) europium compound {Pc[(OC2H4)2OCH3]8}Eu{Pc[(OC2H4)2OCH3]8} and metal-free 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(alkoxy)phthalocyanine H2Pc(OCnH2n + 1)8 (n = 6, 8, 10,12) in the presence of Eu(acac)3.H2O (Hacac = acetylacetone) in boiling 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene (TCB). These novel sandwich triple-decker complexes have been characterized by a wide range of spectroscopic methods and have been electrochemically studied. With the help of the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique, these typical amphiphilic triple-decker complexes have been fabricated into organic field effect transistors (OFET) with an unusual bottom contact configuration. The devices display good OFET performance with the carrier mobility for holes in the direction parallel to the aromatic phthalocyanine rings, which shows dependence on the length of the hydrophobic alkoxy side chains, decreasing from 0.46 for 1 to 0.014 cm2 V(-1) s(-1) for 4 along with the increase in the carbon number in the hydrophobic alkoxy side chains.  相似文献

Three 1,8,15,22-tetrasubstituted phthalocyaninato nickel complexes Ni[Pc(alpha-OR)(4)] [H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(5)H(11))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine; H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(7)H(15))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(2,4-dimethyl-3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine; H(2)Pc(alpha-OC(10)H(7))(4) = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(2-naphthyloxy)phthalocyanine] (1-3) have been prepared by treating the corresponding metal-free phthalocyanines H(2)Pc(alpha-OR)(4) with Ni(acac)(2)2H(2)O in refluxing n-pentanol. Structures of the Langmuir monolayers of these compounds at different temperature have been investigated. Compound 1 formed nano-ring structures with the outer diameter of 70-150 nm and inner diameter of 50 nm at 25.0 degrees C while 2 and 3 formed round particles. This difference can be ascribed to the different substituents at alpha position. The morphologies of the aggregates of 1 in monolayers have been found to change with temperature. Decreasing in temperature induced the formation of regular quadrate crystals. UV-vis absorption spectra revealed strong intermolecular interactions in the nano-ring aggregates. Polarized UV-vis absorption spectra suggest a titled orientation with respect to the surface of substrate for phthalocyanine macrocycles in the nano-ring aggregates.  相似文献
