A weakly damped wave equation in the three‐dimensional (3‐D) space with a damping coefficient depending on the displacement is studied. This equation is shown to generate a dissipative semigroup in the energy phase space, which possesses finite‐dimensional global and exponential attractors in a slightly weaker topology. In this present paper, the existence of pullback attractors for the 2D Navier–Stokes equation with weak damping, distributed delay, and continuous delay has been considered, by virtue of classical Galerkin's method, we derived the existence and uniqueness of global weak and strong solutions. Using the Aubin–Lions lemma and some energy estimate in the Banach space with delay, we obtained the uniform bounded and existence of uniform pullback absorbing ball for the solution semi‐processes; we concluded the pullback attractors via verifying the pullback asymptotical compactness by the generalized Arzelà–Ascoli theorem. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for sequences in the space AP(R) of continuous almost periodic functions on the real line to converge in the weak topology. The abstract results are illustrated by a number of examples which show that weak convergence seems to be a rare phenomenon. We also characterize the weakly compact subsets in AP(R). In particular, earlier statements made in the monograph by Dunford and Schwartz are refined and completed. We close with some open problems.  相似文献

This article studies the global well-posedness and long-time dynamics for the nonlinear complex Ginzburg–Landau equation involving fractional Laplacian. The global existence and some uniqueness criterion of weak solutions are given with compactness method. To study the strong solutions with the semigroup method, we generalize some pointwise estimates for the fractional Laplacian to the complex background and study carefully the linear evolution of the equation. In this study, some relationships between quasidifferentiability and weakly subdifferentiability of a function are investigated, and some results on calculating the quasidifferential in terms of weak exhausters are presented. Moreover, under some assumptions weak subdifferentiability of a quasidifferentiable function is proved and the weak subdifferential is obtained by using the quasidifferential. Under some assumptions, it is proved that a positively homogeneous and lower semicontinuous function is quasidifferentiable. It is also shown that directional differentiability and weak subdifferentiability imply quasidifferentiability. Furthermore, a method to evaluate the quasidifferential is given by using reduced weak lower exhausters.  相似文献

In view of the possibility that the 3D Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) might not always have regular solutions, we introduce an abstract framework for studying the asymptotic behavior of multi-valued dissipative evolutionary systems with respect to two topologies—weak and strong. Each such system possesses a global attractor in the weak topology, but not necessarily in the strong. In case the latter exists and is weakly closed, it coincides with the weak global attractor. We give a sufficient condition for the existence of the strong global attractor, which is verified for the 3D NSE when all solutions on the weak global attractor are strongly continuous. We also introduce and study a two-parameter family of models for the Navier-Stokes equations, with similar properties and open problems. These models always possess weak global attractors, but on some of them every solution blows up (in a norm stronger than the standard energy one) in finite time.  相似文献

The qualitative dynamics of weak solutions to a nonautonomous model of polymer solution motion (with a rheological relation satisfying the objectivity principle) is studied using the theory of pullback attractors of trajectory spaces. For this purpose, the existence of weak solutions is proved for the model under study, a family of trajectory spaces is defined, trajectory and minimal pullback attractors are introduced, and their existence is proved.  相似文献

We introduce a measure of super weak noncompactness Γ defined for bounded subsets and bounded linear operators in Banach spaces that allows to state and prove a characterization of the Banach spaces which are subspaces of a Hilbert-generated space. The use of super weak compactness and Γ casts light on the structure of these Banach spaces and complements the work of Argyros, Fabian, Farmaki, Godefroy, Hájek, Montesinos, Troyanski and Zizler on this subject. A particular kind of relatively super weakly compact sets, namely uniformly weakly null sets, plays an important role and exhibits connections with Banach-Saks type properties.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the weak convergence analysis of a class of aggregated processes resulting from singularly perturbed switching diffusions with fast and slow motions. The processes consist of diffusion components and pure jump components. The states of the pure jump component are naturally divisible into a number of classes. Aggregate the states in each weakly irreducible class by a single state leading to an aggregated process. Under suitable conditions, it is shown that the aggregated process converges weakly to a switching diffusion process whose generator is an average with respect to the quasi-stationary distribution of the jump process.  相似文献

In this paper, we first consider the Cauchy problem for quasilinear strictly hyperbolic systems with weak linear degeneracy. The existence of global classical solutions for small and decay initial data was established in (Commun. Partial Differential Equations 1994; 19 :1263–1317; Nonlinear Anal. 1997; 28 :1299–1322; Chin. Ann. Math. 2004; 25B :37–56). We give a new, very simple proof of this result and also give a sharp point‐wise decay estimate of the solution. Then, we consider the mixed initial‐boundary‐value problem for quasilinear hyperbolic systems with nonlinear boundary conditions in the first quadrant. Under the assumption that the positive eigenvalues are weakly linearly degenerate, the global existence of classical solution with small and decay initial and boundary data was established in (Discrete Continuous Dynamical Systems 2005; 12 (1):59–78; Zhou and Yang, in press). Sufficient conditions for existence of minimal uniform trajectory attractors and uniform global attractors of non-autonomous evolution equations in Banach spaces are obtained. It is not assumed that the symbol space of an equation is a compact metric space and that the family of trajectory spaces corresponding to this symbol space is translation-coordinated or closed in any sense. Using these results, existence of minimal uniform trajectory attractors and uniform global attractors for weak solutions of the boundary value problem for motion equations of an incompressible viscoelastic medium with the Jeffreys constitutive law is shown.  相似文献

In this paper, we define robust weak ergodicity and study the relation between robust weak ergodicity and stable ergodicity for conservative partially hyperbolic systems. We prove that a Cr(r > 1) conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism is stably ergodic if it is robustly weakly ergodic and has positive (or negative) central exponents on a positive measure set. Furthermore, if the condition of robust weak ergodicity is replaced by weak ergodicity, then the diffeomophism is an almost stably ergodic system. Additionally, we show in dimension three, a Cr(r > 1) conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism can be approximated by stably ergodic systems if it is robustly weakly ergodic and robustly has non-zero central exponents.  相似文献
