 1.磁性和磁现象的普遍性一切物质都具有磁性,现代科学技术完全证实了这个科学论断;只不过不同物质的磁性有很大的差异,有的物质磁性强,有的物质磁性弱。物质的磁性将在其周围空间产生磁场,因此又可以进一步论断,任何空间都存在着磁场,只不过有的地方磁场强,有的地方磁场弱。这表明磁性和磁现象具有普遍性和极其丰富的内涵。正因为如此,磁性和磁现象得到极其广泛的应用。人类已进入科学技术高度发展的信息时代,磁现象和磁技术的应用变得越来越普遍,越来越重要,高能加速器、粒子检测器、高温等离子装置、热核聚变研究、磁共振成像以及现代通讯技术中的微波通讯、卫星通讯、光通讯都离不开磁技术和磁性材料  相似文献

在物理学发展史上,有相当长的一段时间里“磁现象”和“电现象”是被分别研究的:1780年,库仑曾证明“电与磁是完全不同的实体”;1802年,安培说过,“我愿意去证明电与磁是相互独立的两种不同的流体”……然而,丹麦的物理学家奥斯特却一直坚信电、磁、光、热等现象之间,必定有着内在的、本质的联系,因为1751美国人富兰克林发现了莱顿瓶放电能使钢针磁化的现象,使他受到了很大的启发,他认为,电转化为磁是不成问题的,问题在于寻找转化的条件.  相似文献

近20年来,大量的磁岛链现象从空间、天体物理到磁约束实验室等离子体中被观察到,并且有关磁岛链现象的许多物理特性可以直接被计算机模拟结果所证实.磁岛链理论在磁重联理论中的重要进展为快速磁重联的发生机制提供了更加具有说服力的解释.本文采用二维三分量的磁流体力学模型,数值研究了不同宽度和不同强度的垂直平面驱动流对磁重联中磁岛链不稳定性的影响,并分析了导向场和垂直平面的驱动流对磁岛链的共同作用.研究结果表明:垂直平面驱动流的宽度越宽或强度越强,越容易产生磁岛链结构.电流片中的小磁岛个数及重联率随着垂直平面驱动流宽度及强度的增加而增加.另外,导向场会改变重联平面内磁岛链的对称性.相同导向场情况下,驱动流强度越大,小磁岛的增长速度越快.  相似文献

建立了磁光晶体磁致偏振特性测试系统。对Bi YIG晶体样品在大范围磁场下的退偏现象进行了测试。结果表明,达到磁饱和或接近磁饱和时,Bi YIG晶体的偏振性能最优;达到磁饱和后,随着磁场的增强,出现了磁致退偏效应。根据实验结果分析了磁致退偏效应的产生机理,并说明了磁致圆二向色性及磁致线双折射是产生退偏的原因。  相似文献

针对“黑障”问题,借助于电磁波斜入射到磁化等离子体的传输模型,研究了太赫兹(THz)波在磁化、均匀等离子体中的传输特性,分析了太赫兹波在磁化等离子体中传播的反射、透射以及衰减。仿真结果表明,等离子体碰撞频率、电子密度、入射角度以及磁场强度,对衰减产生不同的影响。单纯的增加碰撞频率,衰减值呈现出先增大后减小的变化趋势;电子密度的增加,与衰减峰值的大小有关;外加磁场加入,衰减值降低。通过调节外加恒定磁场,可以有效地解决“黑障”问题。  相似文献

Evidence of relaxation has appeared, for the first time, in the extremely high-beta, steady-state field-reversed configuration plasma states driven by rotating magnetic fields (RMF) in the translation, confinement, and sustainment experiment. The plasma self-organizes into a near-force-free state in the vicinity of the magnetic axis, with significant improvement in confinement. Associated with this change in magnetic topology is the appearance of an axial RMF component; this would, in turn, generate a current drive in the poloidal direction, thus sustaining the magnetic helicity. A newly developed two-dimensional "equilibrium-lite" model is employed to analyze the magnetic properties of the final high-confinement state, and shows a large q and a significant magnetic shear in the core.  相似文献

Active measurements of the plasma stability in tokamak plasmas reveal the importance of kinetic resonances for resistive wall mode stability. The rotation dependence of the magnetic plasma response to externally applied quasistatic n=1 magnetic fields clearly shows the signatures of an interaction between the resistive wall mode and the precession and bounce motions of trapped thermal ions, as predicted by a perturbative model of plasma stability including kinetic effects. The identification of the stabilization mechanism is an essential step towards quantitative predictions for the prospects of "passive" resistive wall mode stabilization, i.e., without the use of an "active" feedback system, in fusion-alpha heated plasmas.  相似文献

The chiral magnetic wave is a gapless collective excitation of quark-gluon plasma in the presence of an external magnetic field that stems from the interplay of chiral magnetic and chiral separation effects; it is composed of the waves of the electric and chiral charge densities coupled by the axial anomaly. We consider a chiral magnetic wave at finite baryon density and find that it induces the electric quadrupole moment of the quark-gluon plasma produced in heavy ion collisions: the "poles" of the produced fireball (pointing outside of the reaction plane) acquire additional positive electric charge, and the "equator" acquires additional negative charge. We point out that this electric quadrupole deformation lifts the degeneracy between the elliptic flows of positive and negative pions leading to v(2)(π(+))相似文献

本文利用单探针诊断等离子体参数来研究自行设计的磁控直流辉光等离子体实验装置的放电特性, 从而得出电子密度与气体压强、电子密度分布与磁场位型以及磁场强度等的关系. 另外, 用有限元的方法对线圈通电产生的磁场进行数值计算, 模拟出不同接线方式的两种磁场位型分布. 通过实验得出这两种不同的位型的磁场均对等离子体的状态有一定的“控制”作用, 而且这种“控制”作用与现有理论相符合.  相似文献

A model of the plasma distribution in the middle Jovian magnetosphere is considered. The distribution of the background plasma along the magnetic lines of force under the action of the centrifugal force and the force of gravity is analyzed in the framework of the diffusive equilibrium, taking into account the finite angle between the magnetic and rotational axes. It is shown that the dense structures of the background plasma have the form of a warped sheet located between the magnetic and centrifugal equators, and of two mirror symmetrical petals in the vicinity of the polar cusps. The hydrodynamic stability of the dense plasma sheet, formed under the action of the centrifugal force, is studied. The steady state radial plasma distribution at the threshold of the instability with respect to the small-scale MHD perturbations is determined. The finite conductivity of the Jovian ionosphere is taken into account. The influences of the longitudinal inhomogeneity of the perturbations, the finite ion Larmor radius, and the curvature of the magnetic field lines on the threshold of the instability are estimated. Some aspects of the formation of the energetic particle distribution in the middle Jovian magnetosphere are considered. A heavy ion beam probe plasma diagnostic system has been developed for the Laser Initiated Target Experiment (LITE) at UTRC. This is the first application of ion beam probing to a plasma confined by a strongly three dimensional magnetic field. The deep magnetic well, minimum-B field produced by the "baseball" magnet coil results in complex trajectories and severe defocusing of both the injected primary beam and detected secondary beam. Spatial resolution can be maintained by aperturing the entrance slit to the detector or installing compensating ion optics. The system is capable of space and time resolved measurements of plasma density and space potential near the central region of the mirror-confined plasma.  相似文献

The paper discusses the drift dissipative instability that arises in a weakly ionized inhomogeneous plasma in crossed electric and magnetic fields. The potential perturbations are studied in the WKB (Wentzel-Krammers-Brillouin) approximation, i.e. for k = d lnn 0/dx. The critical magnetic field, beyond the value of which the plasma is again stable against the studied perturbations, is computed. The effect of the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field modelled by a gravitational field is analyzed and the effect of a magnetic field, growing in the direction opposite to that of the plasma density, is pointed out. In this paper, self-focusing of an intense circularly polarized laser beam in the presence of a non-uniform positive guide magnetic field with slope constant parameter δ in hot magnetized plasma, using Maxwell’s equations and relativistic fluid momentum equation is investigated. An envelope equation governing the spot-size of laser beam for both of left- and right-hand polarizations has been derived, and the effects of the plasma temperature and magnetic field on the electron density distribution of hot plasma with respect to variation of normalized laser spot-size has been studied. Numerical results show that self-focusing is better increased in the presence of an external non-uniform magnetic field. Moreover, in plasma density profile, self-focusing of the laser pulse improves in comparison with no non-uniform magnetic field. Also, with increasing slope of constant parameter of the non-uniform magnetic field, the self-focusing increases, and subsequently, the spot-size of laser pulse propagated through the hot magnetized plasma decreases.  相似文献

激光烧蚀等离子体(LAP)可用作粒子加速器和离子注入器中使用的离子源。相较于其它离子源,激光离子源在流强上具有优势,但由于产生的离子束脉冲时间短,限制了其在加速器中的广泛应用。实验中通过对激光等离子体扩散区域引入螺线管磁场进行约束,实现了对激光等离子体脉冲时间结构的调制。为了研究螺线管磁场对LAP的影响,实验使用了不同的激光能量(1~8 J)来生产具有不同初始条件的激光等离子体,并应用了不同的磁场强度来约束激光等离子体。在螺线管边缘场,通过可移动的法拉第筒(FC)对激光等离子体的横向分布进行测量。对于不同初始状态的等离子体,随着磁场的增加,其离子脉冲的主要参数(脉冲总电荷量、峰值流强、脉宽)均呈现先上升后逐渐饱和的变化趋势。另外,在没有磁场的条件下,在所测量位置处,等离子体的横向呈均匀分布;而在磁场约束的条件下,等离子体明显向轴线聚集。以上实验结果对进一步了解磁约束激光等离子体的特性具有重要意义。  相似文献
