In this work, the double-homoclinic-loop bifurcations in four dimensional vector fields are investigated by setting up local coordinates near the double homoclinic loops. We get the existence, uniqueness and incoexistence of the large 1-hom and large 1-per orbit, and their corresponding existence regions are located. Heteroclinic bifurcations in four dimensional vector fields are investigated by setting up a local coordinates near a rough heteroclinic loop. This heteroclinic loop has a principal heteroclinic orbit and a non-principal heteroclinic orbit that takes orbit flip. The existence, nonexistence, coexistence and uniqueness of the 1-heteroclinic loop, 1-homoclinic orbit and 1-periodic orbit are studied. This paper treats the parabolic free boundary problem which was stated in Part I and referred to as Problem I. Based upon potential theoretic arguments, we prove existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence on the initial and boundary data of solutions to the problem. Along with these results, explicit expressions for the densities, the specific heats, and the thermal conductivities as functions of time and local coordinates in their respective phases, which fit our analysis, are also obtained.  相似文献

We analyze the well-posedness of a problem with multipoint conditions in the time variable and periodic conditions in the spatial coordinates for differential operators decomposable into operators of the first order with complex coefficients. We establish conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the classical solution of the problem under consideration and prove metric theorems for the lower estimates of small denominators appearing in the process of construction of the solution.  相似文献

This homoclinic orbit is non-principal in the meanings that its positive semi-orbit takes orbit flip and its unstable foliation takes inclination flip. The existence, nonexistence, uniqueness and coexistence of the 1-homoclinic orbit and the 1-periodic orbit are studied. We study the well-posedness of the problem with general nonlocal boundary conditions in the time variable and conditions of periodicity in the space coordinates for partial differential equations unsolved with respect to the higher time derivative. We establish the conditions of existence and uniqueness of the solution of the considered problem. In the proof of existence of the solution, we use the method of divided differences. We prove that slow modulations in time and space of periodic wave trains of the NLS equation can be approximated via solutions of Whitham’s equations associated with the wave train. This work deals with the finite element approximation of a prestressed shell model formulated in Cartesian coordinates system. The considered constrained variational problem is not necessarily positive. Moreover, because of the constraint, it cannot be discretized by conforming finite element methods. A penalized version of the model and its discretization are then proposed. We prove existence and uniqueness results of solutions for the continuous and discrete problems, and we derive optimal a priori error estimates. Numerical tests that validate and illustrate our approach are given.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the well‐posedness and exact controllability of a physical model for an extrusion process in the isothermal case. The model expresses the mass balance in the extruder chamber and consists of a hyperbolic partial differential equation (PDE) and a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE) whose dynamics describes the evolution of a moving interface. By suitable change of coordinates and fixed point arguments, we prove the existence, uniqueness, and regularity of the solution and finally, the exact controllability of the coupled system. Global solutions of the nonlinear magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations with general large initial data are investigated. First the existence and uniqueness of global solutions are established with large initial data in H 1. It is shown that neither shock waves nor vacuum and concentration are developed in a finite time, although there is a complex interaction between the hydrodynamic and magnetodynamic effects. Then the continuous dependence of solutions upon the initial data is proved. The equivalence between the well-posedness problems of the system in Euler and Lagrangian coordinates is also showed.  相似文献

We study a boundary-value problem with general two-point conditions with respect to the time coordinate, and periodic conditions on the spatial coordinates for Shilov-parabolic equations with constant coefficients. We construct the solution in the form of a Fourier series. We establish conditions for existence and uniqueness of a classical solution of the problem. We study the optimal transport problem in the Euclidean space where the cost function is given by the value function associated with a Linear Quadratic minimization problem. Under appropriate assumptions, we generalize Brenier’s Theorem proving existence and uniqueness of an optimal transport map. In the controllable case, we show that the optimal transport map has to be the gradient of a convex function up to a linear change of coordinates. The well-known theorem of T. Yamada and S. Watanabe asserts that (weak) existence and pathwise uniqueness of the solution of a stochastic equation implies the existence of a strong solution. This is the most powerful tool for proving that a stochastic equation possesses a strong solution. However, pathwise uniqueness is far from being a necessary condition for this. Even if the solution is not unique in law it is also of interest to ask for strong solutions. In the present note, we will discuss in more detail the connection between pathwise uniqueness and the existence of a strong solution. We will state a condition which is not only sufficient but also necessary for the existence of a strong solution.  相似文献

We investigate the Cauchy problem for the inhomogeneous Navier‐Stokes equations in the whole n‐dimensional space. Under some smallness assumption on the data, we show the existence of global‐in‐time unique solutions in a critical functional framework. The initial density is required to belong to the multiplier space of \input amssym $\dot {B}^{n/p‐1}_{p,1}({\Bbb R}^n)$ . In particular, piecewise‐constant initial densities are admissible data provided the jump at the interface is small enough and generate global unique solutions with piecewise constant densities. Using Lagrangian coordinates is the key to our results, as it enables us to solve the system by means of the basic contraction mapping theorem. As a consequence, conditions for uniqueness are the same as for existence. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

An optimal control problem for a second-order Sobolev type equation with a relatively polynomially bounded operator pencil is considered. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a strong solution of the Showalter-Sidorov problem for this equation. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of an optimal control of such solutions are obtained. We study the Showalter-Sidorov-Dirichlet problem for the Boussinesq-Love equation.  相似文献
