Let Xi be iidrv's and Sn=X1+X2+…+Xn. When EX21<+∞, by the law of the iterated logarithm (Snn)(n log n)12→0 a.s. for some constants αn. Thus the r.v. Y=supn?1[|Snn|?(δn log n)12]+ is a.s.finite when δ>0. We prove a rate of convergence theorem related to the classical results of Baum and Katz, and apply it to show, without the prior assumption EX21<+∞ that EYh<+∞ if and only if E|X1|2+h[log|X1|]-1<+∞ for 0<h<1 and δ> hE(X1?EX1)2, whereas EYh=+∞ whenever h>0 and 0<δ<hE(X1?EX1)2.  相似文献

Let l be an odd prime number, F denote any totally real number field and E/F be an Abelian CM extension of F of conductor f. Let (Xn,Yn)n∈N be a stationary sequence governed by the model Yn=m(Xn)+σ(Xn)εn where n)n∈N is i.i.d. and independent from (Xn)n∈N. The latter sequence satisfy a weak dependence condition proposed by Doukhan and Louhichi in [2]. We provide a Central Limit Theorem for jumps in the regression function. The cone CPn,q of completely positive linear transformations from Mn(C)=Mn to Mq is shown to be isometrically isomorphic to Pnq, the cone of nq by nq positive semidefinite matrices. Generalizations of scalar and matrix results to CPn, q?HPn, q? L(Mn ,Mq) (where HPn,q represents the hermitian-preserving linear transformations) are discussed. Relationships among the completely positives, the set of positive semidefinite preservers π(Pn), and its dual π(Mn)1 are given. Left and right facial ideals of CP are characterized. Properties of the joint angular field of values of a finite sequence of hermitian matrices H1,…, Hm are studied, leading to a characterization of π(Pq, Pn).  相似文献

An elementary proof is given of the author's transformation formula for the Lambert series Gp(x) = Σn?1 n?pxn(1?xn) relating Gp(e2πiτ) to Gp(e2πiAτ), where p > 1 is an odd integer and Aτ = (aτ + b)(cτ + d) is a general modular substitution. The method extends Sczech's argument for treating Dedekind's function log η(τ) = πiτ12 ? G1(e2πiτ), and uses Carlitz's formula expressing generalized Dedekind sums in terms of Eulerian functions.  相似文献

There is proved a global central limit theorem for the properly normalized sojourn times. We modify various lemmas from Dydak's paper on the Vietoris-Smale theorem to obtain more general results. We consider closed subsets X and Y of paracompact spaces M, N respectively, and a map F:MN such that FX:XY is closed and surjective and X=F-1(Y) to obtain the following result.(Theorem). Ω is a simple closed contour chosen so that F is analytic outside and on Ω, and gn is analytic on Ω. The specific functionals considered by this paper are patterned after the Lidstone functions, L2n(f) = f(2n)(0) and L2n + 1(f) = f(2n)(1), in that their sequence of generating functions {gn} are “periodic.” Set gpn + k(ζ) = hk(ζ) ζpn, where p is a positive integer and each hk (k = 0, 1,…, p ? 1) is analytic on Ω. We find necessary and sufficient conditions for f ∈ k[Ω] with Ln(f) = 0 (n = 0, 1,…). DeMar previously was able to find necessary conditions [7].
