Reflectance spectra were measured on ZnTe in magnetic fields up to 18 T for B ? [100] and B ? [110]. The experiments yield renormalized valence band parameters γ12 = 0.83 ± 0.08 and γ13 = 1.30 ± 0.12, corresponding to bare parameters γ2 = 0.95 ± 0.09 and γ3 = 1.48 ± 0.14. From the free exciton Rydberg energy R10 = 12.8 meV we derive a reduced exciton polaron mass m0 0.080 ± 0.005 and a bare reduced mass m0 0.074 ± 0.005, corresponding to γ11 = 3.9 ± 0.7 and γ1 = 4.4 ± 0.7 for an electron effective polaron mass m1e = 0.116 m0. We further calculate the exciton diamagnetic shift rate according to existing low-field theories modified by a variational calculation taking into account polaron effects and valid up to γ ? 1. The difference between experiment and theory is 10% and the agreement is considered satisfactory.  相似文献

Internal rotation A-E splittings have been observed in the ground state for both 35Cl and 37Cl isotopic species of S-methylchlorothioformate. The values V3 (35Cl) = 893 ± 20 and V3(37Cl) = 890 ± 20 cal/mole have been obtained. The anaalysis of the hyperfine structure gave χaa(35Cl) = ?49.2, χbb(35Cl) = 22.4 and χaa(37Cl) = ?39.0, χbb(37Cl) = 18.3 MHz. Only the syn-conformation of the methyl group with respect to the carbonyl group has been observed. A partial r0 structure is given.  相似文献

A stroboscopic technique for the observation of quadrupole hyperfine interactions of isomeric nuclear states has been successfully developed. The inherent precision and resolution of this technique have been demonstrated by measuring the quadrupole hyperfine frequency for 69Ge(92+1, τ = 4.0μ) in Zn metal at several temperatures; ω0 = [19.67 ± 0.06] × 106s?1 (at 623 ± 3 K).  相似文献

The total νμ and νμ nucleon charged-current cross sections have been measured in BEBC filled with deuterium and exposed to the wide-band neutrino and antineutrino beams at the CERN-SPS. Assuming a linear energy dependence for the cross sections, σ = aE(?ν, we obtained the coefficients aνN = 0.62 ± 0.05 and aνN = 0.33 ± 0.03 (in units of 10?38 cm2/GeV), where the quoted error is mainly systematic. The ratio of the cross sections is σνNνN = 0.53 ± 0.03.We also determined the ratio of the charged-current cross section for neutrino interactions on neutrons and protons R = σνn/σνp = 2.10 ± 0.08 (statistical) ±0.22 (sysetmatic). The dependence of R on the variables x, y and Eν is discussed.  相似文献

A millimeter-wave spectrometer having a sensitivity of 4 × 10?10 cm?1 in the 2-mm region has been constructed for observation of extremely weak millimeter-wave spectra of gases. It has been used to measure JJ, K = 0 ← 3 transitions in PH3 and JJ, K = 0 ← 3 as well as K = ±1 ← ±4 transitions in PD3. The B0 and C0 spectral constants (in MHz) are: for PH3, B0 = 133 480.15 ± 0.12 and C0 = 117 488.85 ± 0.16; for PD3, B0 = 69 471.10 ± 0.03 and C0 = 58 974.37 ± 0.05. The effective ground-state values obtained for the bond angle and bond length are: for PH3, r0 (A?) = 1.4200 and α0(o) = 93.345; for PD3, r0 (A?) = 1.4176 and α0(o) = 93.359. The corresponding zero-point-average values were calculated to be: for PH3, rz (A?) = 1.42699 ± 0.0002 and αz(o) = 93.2287; for PD3, rz (A?) = 1.42265 ± 0.0001 and αz(o) = 93.2567 ± 0.004. For both species, the equilibrium values are re (A?) = 1.41159 ± 0.0006 and αe(o) = 93.328 ± 0.02.  相似文献

Cyclotron resonance of electron and holes have been optically detected at 70 GHz and at 1.8 K in n-type CdTe. The bare effective masses, in unit of the free electron mass, are found to be: m1 = 0.088 ± 0.004, m1lh = 0.12 ± 0.01, m1 = 0.60 ± for H // <100>, and m1e = 0.089 0.004, m1lh = 0.11 ± 0.01, m1hh = 0.69 ± 0.02 for H // <111>. The Luttinger valence band parameters deduced from these measurements are: γ1 = 5.3 ± 0.5, γ2 = 1.7 ± 0.3 and γ3 = 2.0 ± 0.3, in fair agreement with the calculations of Lawaetz.  相似文献

Small-angle X-ray scattering of the liquid sodium-37 w/o lithium system in the range 1.034 × 10-4 ? (T?Tc)/Tc ?1.503 × 10-2 yields the critical exponents v = 0.655 ± 0.030 and λ = 1.296 ± 0.061 for the temperature dependence of the correlation length η and of the coefficient (?c/?μ)T, P respectively.  相似文献

Weighted average quenching cross sections for the Rb(52P) doublet by N2 and H2O were determined in flames with temperatures ranging from 1500 to 2500 K by measuring the fluorescence efficiency. The values found are qu)N2 = (19±2) A?2 and qu)H2O = (3.9±0.4) A?2 over the entire temperature range. At a temperature of 1720 K, mixing cross sections were obtained for the same doublet with N2, H2, O2 and H2O molecules. The cross sections found are: σ21(2P322P12)N2 = (60±12) A?2, σ12(2P122P32)N2 = 99±20) A?2; 21)O2 = (40±20) A?2, 12)O2 = (66±30) A?2;21)H2 > 30 A?2, 12)H2 > 50 A?2;21)H2O = (73±15) A?2, σ21)H2O = (120±25) A?2. The ratios σ1221 were measured independently and were found to agree with the detailed- balance condition within 3 per cent. A critical comparison of the flame values with previous literature data on N2-cross sections shows that both mixing and quenching cross sections are temperature dependent in the range from 300 to 2500 K.  相似文献

The first observation of cyclotron resonance in p-type InP is reported. The holes were thermally excited at 110 K and the resonance was observed at 337μm wavelength (HCN laser) using a pulsed magnetic field of 0–350 kG. The effective masses of the light and heavy holes in the 〈111〉 direction were found to be m1L = 0.12 ± 0.01 m0, m1H = 0.60 ± 0.02 m0 and in the 〈100〉 direction m1L = 0.12 ± 0.01 m0, m1H = 0.56 ± 0.02 m0. We obtain an estimate of the Dresselhaus parameters A = ?5.04, |B| = 3.12, C2 = 6.57. We also report the effective masses for p-type GaP in the 〈111〉 direction as m1L = 0.18 ± 0.02 m0, m1H = 0.56 ± 0.04 m0.  相似文献

Relative oscillator strengths in the Cameron system of CO(a3Π ← X1Σ) have been observed in absorption for six bands (υ′ = 0–5, υ″ = 0) with the result, normalized to the absolute (0, 0) band measurement of Hasson and Nicholls, ?00 = (1.62±0.07) × 10?7, ?10 = (1.96±0.09) × 10?7, ?20 = (1.41±0.04) × 10?7, ?3 0 = (0.72±0.03) × 10?7, ?40 = (0.31±0.02) × 10?7, ?50 = (0.14±0.01) × 10?7. The density of CO was modulated with a motor-driven vacuum valve and synchronous fluctuations (?1 per cent) in the transmitted intensity detected with a lock-in amplifier. Peak pressure in the 21 cm absorption cell was approximately 10 torr. A curve of growth analysis was used to correct saturation effects by less than 3 per cent.  相似文献

A continuous metal-nonmetal transition is observed in solid ArLa mixtures. The d.c. conductivity σ starts at a La atomic fraction cLa ? 0.15 with σ = 2 × 10-2 [Ω-cm]-1 and increases exponentially with cLa until σ reaches the minimum metallic conductivity σmin = 300 ± 100[Ω-cm]-1 at cLa ? 0.4. The temperature dependence of σ shows variable range hopping between localized states for c>La ? 0.4 and metallic behaviour for cLa ? 0.4.  相似文献

We have measured at 500 GeV the cross section d2σdt dMX2 for the inclusive reaction p + p → + X. We determine the mass spectrum of the diffractive peak to be 1M3.8±0.2 and the scaling part of the cross section to be /dMX2 = (15.7±1.1)/smb/GeV2.  相似文献

The one-electron momentum distribution function 〈a2a for an electron gas is investigated by a diagrammatic analysis of perturbation theory. It is shown that 〈a2a has the following exact asymptotic form for large k (k ? pF; pF, the Fermi momentum): 〈a2a〉 = 49(αrsπ)2×(pF8k8) g?(0) + ?, where g?(0) is the zero-distance value of the spin-up-spin-down pair correlation function. The nuclear quadrupole hyperfine splittings of Pr3+ in LaF3 have been measured for the ground electronic state using a RF optical resonance technique. A hamiltonian H = P[(I2z? 13I(I+1) + (η/6)(I2+?I2-)] was fitted to the data with zP=4.185 ± 0.003 MHzandη = 0.105 ± 0.010. Linewidths of 180 kHz were observed.  相似文献

The transitions J = 1 ← 0, K = 0; J = 2 ← 1, K = 0; and J = 2 ← 1, K = 1 of CH3I and CD3I were measured using a Stark-modulated microwave spectrometer. Iodine quadrupole coupling strengths were analyzed to determine variations with deuterium substitution on the methyl group and variations with centrifugal distortion. Quadrupole coupling strengths were described by the expression eQq0 + aJ(J + 1) + bK2 + cK4J(J + 1). Explicit expressions are given for a, b, and c for a symmetric top in terms of molecular parameters. For CH3I eQq0 = ?1934.11 ± 0.02 MHz and for CD3I eQq0 = ?1928.95 ± 0.04 MHz. Rotational constants obtained are B(CH3I) = 7501.274 ± 0.002 MHz and B(CD3I) = 6040.298 ± 0.007 MHz. The observed fractional change in halogen quadrupole coupling of 0.0027 is related to previous results for methyl chloride and methyl bromide.  相似文献

J = 1 ← 0 and J = 2 ← 1 transitions in 35ClCN and 37ClCN were measured using a C-band waveguide spectrometer and phase-locked sources. Using a recent theoretical method, the ratio of nuclear matrix elements R = (vF0220?√32AF0221/vF0211) was determined to be either 20.50+0.35?0.55 or 25.22+0.28?0.17 in the second-forbidden nonunique decay of 8 × 104 y 59Ni. These values of R were obtained from a value of L3/K = 0.008 ± 0.002 found by subtracting the theoretical ratio (L1 + L2)K = 0.113 (based on QPEC = 1070 ± 8 keV) from the total ratio L/K = 0.121 ± 0.002, which was measured with a reactor-produced, doubly-mass-separated 59Ni source introduced as gaseous nickel-ocene, (C5H5)2, into a wall-less, anticoincidence, multiwire proportional counter. The 854–1008 eV L and the 8.33 keV K peaks were measured simultaneously.  相似文献

We measured the differential cross section for p?p and pp elastic scattering in the momentum-transfer range 0.01 <|t| < 1.0 GeV2 at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings with center-of-mass energy s = 52.8 GeV. Fitting the differential cross section with an exponential [Aexp (bt)], we found bpp = 13.92 ± 0.59 GeV?2 for |t| < 0.05 GeV2, whilst for |t| > 0.09 GeV2, bpp = 10.68 ± 0.26 GeV?2. Using the optical theorem, we obtained for the total cross section σtot(pp)= 44.86 ± 0.78 mb and, by integrating the differential cross section, we obtained for the total elastic cross section σel(pp) = 7.89 ± 0.28 mb. Calculations of σtot combining elastic-rate and total-rate measurements are also given. All of these measurements were also performed for pp scattering at the same energy, and the results for both reactions are compared.  相似文献
